Embed ColorSync profile, how to get back to original color profile?
I am a bit shocked , experienced today that iPhoto by default embed ColorSync profile (found under general- advanced settings for iPhoto) to every photo imported.
I always believed (and trusted) iphoto did not change the original file from the memory card. I have compared today the file from the memory card and the one found under originals in iPhoto library and see now that iphoto darken the shadows area a bit, in my eyes not a good thing.
So my question is , is the process done by iPhoto reversible? Can I get back the original profile (sRGB I believe) for my photos?

Well let's get past the shock for you. It doesn't.
If the photo has a pre-existing color profile then the file is not touched. iPhoto uses the one already embedded. It only adds a profile if 1: there is none present and 2. If you check the box.
The profile attached is virtually indistinguishable from sRGB, just adapted slightly for Apple monitors.
Search the Help for ColorSync. This explains it quite clearly.

I bought a new macbook pro and my intention was to transfer all my main account from the old one to the new one. Stupidly, i skipped the setup assistant asking me to connect the firewire cable and all that because it told me that i could use migration assistant later. I chose the same user name as i had on the old machine. Now, when i want to use migration assistant to import the account from the old computer, it tells me there is already a user by that name and i have to chose another name since my main account on the new computer can't be deleted. i am thus a bit stuck because i don't want to have two accounts on the new computer and even less that the account i will most use, which is the one where i have imported all my system, would not be the main account. i guess therefore i need to restore the new mac to a 'fresh from factory status'. i tried reinstalling leopard but that did not work.

If you have files on your new mac you would like to save and assuming you have another mac handy (the one you are going to migrate stuff from) you could connect the two by firewire, restart the new one holding down the T key and then pull the files in question across to the other one prior to the erase and install. If you save them in the user folder on your other mac they will come when you migrate that user.
You said up front that you want to get back to the original system, but none of the detail you have given hints why. Do you really need to do all that or would it be simpler just to change the name of the present admin account on your new computer and then migrate your old user across? There is actually no reason not to have more than one user on your system but, if you wanted, once your old user is migrated and given admin rights, you could delete the other user. -

View ("Alt+V") > Toolbars > (check) Bookmarks
also make sure you are not in full screen mode, toggled on/off with "F11".
If none of those were the problem check to see if you have bookmarks than can be restored from the bookmarks library ("Ctrl+Shift+B") > Import and Backup > Restore > (you should have a choice of at least 5 backups). Not having that choice of five would probably mean that you created a new profile when you updated your Firefox.

I lost my old iphone and have a new 5s.. i need to sync to itunes. i had to donwload manually via tools but i didnt download all four files. now when i plug my phone into itunes it says there is an error bc i didnt download all the files. so when i go into itunes now and check for updates it says its up to date. the problem is with the phone support file i didnt download.
Does anyone know how to get back to the pop up that has the music player update and itunes update bc this is the only place i have seen "tools" to be able to manually update all four files....

i have done this twice in two other posts..
here is my problem.. i started off trying to update itunes, it failed twice and said i needed to install manually via tools.
the only place to get to tools is the pop up box that appears when you click check for updates.. if there is an available update then the pop up shows up with the quick time and itunes files to download. so i finally figured that out. i clicked on tools and manual update, four files were saved to a file. Apple mobile device support, another one similar, itunes, and another one i cant remember. I only downloaded the itunes file seeing as though thats all i needed to accomplish in the first place.
so then i restarted my computer bc you need to reboot and then reopen itunes for update to take effect. once i have itunes back open i plugged in my new 5s which i am trying to sync to my computer to get all my stuff back bc i lost my previous phone over the weekend.. once i plugged the phone in an error stating i needed to unistall the apple mobile device support and itunes and then reinstall. well i dont know where those files were originally stored on my computer AND since my itunes was updated, just not the other 3 associated files, when i click check for updates it says its up to date and then pop up containing the quick time and itunes does not pop up thus i cant get back to the tools tab to manually save the 4 files again.
so i was just going to uninstall itunes all together and then i thought well what happens if it erases all my photos apps songs etc... which would defeat the whole purpose in the first place of me trying to sync my new phone to get all my stuff back.
so i literally have no idea what to do at this point.. if you have read this you are probably just as confused as me... -

So, as i said, my iphone got stolen like a month ago, and i purchased a new one.
I downloaded other apps in this new iphone and i think i did an error by syncing it with itunes as it seems that it doesn't have all the other apps i downloaded on the other iphone.
So I would like to know how to get back all my apps ?

It sounds like you destroyed your boot partition and the recovery partition. Depending on it's age, your MacBook Air might be able to do a net boot. Plug and ethernet connection into it and attempt to boot. If it has the right firmware, it will find a net boot configuration on the net and boot that. Then it will give you a Recovery Partition like display and allow you to reinstall the OS X version that came with it.... assuming that it was Lion or ML. If your computer came with Snow Leopard, then even the net boot won't work.
At that point you need a bootable USB Key, or an external DVD drive AND a Snow Leopard installation DVD.
An Apple Store, if there is one nearby, MAY be able to get you going again. However, whatever is on the SSD now will be toast too. -

Which version of PSE? For PSE 12 you should be able to just log into revel in PSE and have them appear. If you were using an older version of PSE, there's a free mac app in the app store.

Just what are the pixel dimensions of these photos that are automatically rotating on you in Premiere Elements 11 workspace after being transferred there from the Elements Organizer Slideshow Editor? Do I have that correct? If so, how are you making the transfer....Edit with Premiere Elements Editor, Burn to Disc, or other as Elements Organizer 11 Slideshow Editor output?
What is the scenario...from the camera to the computer hard drive, landscape; from the computer hard drive to the Elements Organizer 11 Slideshow Editor, landscape; from the Elements Organizer 11 Slideshow Editor to Premiere Elements 11 Project Assets/Timeline, rotated to Portrait?
Do you find that the frequency of the problem is related to pixel dimensions, number of photos used? What is the format of these photos, jpg or other?
Are you using the Rotation option in the Applied Effects Tab/Applied Effects Palette/Motion Panel expanded to correct the photo rotation?
Just some thoughts for now.
