"Embed Text Data" Not Working
When a user jumps around my finished DVD, the player (computer or set-top) displays in the upper left corner the word "Chapter" and a number after that word. The player seems to decide what to number each of my chapter markers.
Instead of this, I would like them to display the name of the chapter marker. Each chapter marker on all of my tracks has a custom name. I thought "Embed Text Data" being checked upon building the VIDEO_TS file would take care of this.
Does anyone know if I'm missing something?

pretty sure the DVD spec does not support any kind of custom naming for chapters. Players just display the number of the chapter, depending on the player.

TouchUp Text Tool not working?
I have Max OS X 10.4, Acrobat 8.1.2 and cannot get the TouchUp Text Tool to work? Can select text and delete/copy/paste etc but cannot add/change/modify any text from the keyboard? All keyboard text keys not working or changing data?
Was using Acrobat 7 and it worked great, however this version is just not cooperating.

RonI talked to a very helpful person at Adobe Acrobat Tech support yesterday (Tony) and I *think* I have the problem resolved. [BTW, I don't see any definite mentions to this here: during this problem I was able to delete (using either of the delete keys) text and I was able to hit 'return' to get to a new line - while using the touch-up text tool. Also, I was able to create a new blank document and type in next fine too.]
After troubleshooting all the possible causes with Tech support (including manually trashing all the /user/library/preferences/acrobat (folder) and all the com.adobe.acrobat ..(8) preferences in the /user/library/preferences folder - and after reinstalling Acrobat 8 - the issue still wasn't fixed. I called back Tech Support and got the same person (Tony) and with him still on phone, I created a new user on my Mac -- recreated the text touch-up tool problem and Acrobat 8 worked just like it was supposed to do. -- so ... the problem was in my 'old' user account & probably a font problem.
Tony the Tech transfered me over to a Font Tech at Adobe (who was a rude, nasty s-o-b who barely spent 2 minutes with the problem, but that's IMHO) who told me the only resolution, since in his opinion I had a corrupted User account, was to trash my current User account on my system and start fresh -- no alternative! Since that wasn't acceptable to me, and since the Font Tech could or would not give me a straight answer about transferring fonts from my User/Library/Fonts to the computer (root, not system) /Library/Fonts and working on Acrobat that way .... or fixing any font problems in my current /user/fonts -- ..... I hung up the phone and resolved to track this down myself (with the help that was already given to me by Tony the Acrobat Tech.
The first thing I tried this morning was to see if the Acrobat 8 text touch-up 'bug' was still happening -- and it was.
So I spent the rest of this morning validating fonts and deleting duplicates -- (you know how those nasty duplicate fonts just appear even though you think you have them all removed a month or so ago). I also moved all my Adobe otf fonts over to my /Library/Fonts and deleted those same fonts from my /User/Library/Fonts.
I just fired up Acrobat 8 and tried the text touch-up tool --- and it works fine! No problem at all.
Final answer (at least for me) is --> validate all your fonts. I used Font Book (Mac OS) to do this. Delete any major errors on fonts you can live without. Some of the warnings you get (on the critical errors and caution warning both are confusing: 'name' table warning, for example. I did find an Apple Developer document that explains (to a small degree) what these mean: http://developer.apple.com/textfonts/TTRefMan/index.html
Definitely delete every duplicate font you find. I kept some non-duplicated fonts with minor warnings, but these fonts wouldn't be used in Acrobat anyway.
I don't know if moving the Adobe otf fonts to my root /Library/Fonts helped or not since I didn't do a test of this prior to any validation on my user/font file. It was just one step in my bug fix.

Adobe XI - Hightlight text tool not working
Just downloaded adobe XI and the hightlight text tool not working. How can I get this to work.
I guess you can always use the box tool in drawing markups to draw a box around the text then play with the colors until you get close to what you want.
The only thing I don't like about that (besides it being a PITA) is that it covers the text with color as well where the highlight tool does not. -

Sold-to-party Text data not getting displayed; Urgent
I am current using a BI content 0CRM_COMP which contains sold-to-party, i have loaded this ODS, but when i view the data in bex i could only see the Key value and not the Text, even though i change the display mode to Key and Text both the columns displays only the Key value. is it because the master data is not loaded, i have also tried to load the Business Partner master data attributes and text till no use. Please help
Note: These business partners are created in CRM and are nor from R/3Hi,
Just check whether for this infoobject has master data and text option ticked or not in infoobject.
If text option in there then search for the data scource0CRM_SOLDTO_TEXT or something like that which contain text for this particular infoobject and then laod the text for the same.
Just got to the modelling tab -> infoprovider-> Application component in which you infoobject is present-> right click insert object as dat target-> give the name of your object this will give you data target one for master data one for text->activate data source and replicate in BW if not presen in BW-> make infosource on the text data source->make update rules for the text target and load.
Or as Anil said sold to party is reference to customer load text into the custome with the same method iot will work fine.

IPhone 6: Data not working on T-Mobile?
I recently switched from Verizon to T-Mobile's Simple Choice family plan with unlimited talk, text, and unlimited 2G data (with an additional 2.5G 4G data/month until 2016, it will drop to 1G 4G/month).
I have full text and call functionality (sending and receiving), but my Data simply does NOT work. It always shows that it is connected to the network (4G, LTE) with 4-5 bars, but it has not once worked since I've had the phone. I can use Wifi just fine.
On the My T-Mobile account app, I go to Device Support > Technical Support > Data Plan Check and it shows this message:
"Your current data service is not compatible with your device...."
Using Safari will pull up the u.web2go.com page that states this:
"Your data plan does not work on this device...."
I called the stand-alone T-Mobile store I activated the phone from and they said my account information is correct and the data plan is up and going so there should be no issues. (Other family members on my SAME PLAN also received the iPhone 6 and have NOT had any issues with data.) The T-Mobile representative told me to try the same stuff I had been trying, such as turning off my phone, resetting my phone, etc and none of that worked.
When it was finally 24 hours from activation I called customer care. For some reason calling before 24 hours has passed will only get you thrown into the "it hasn't finished syncing and we can't help you" category. He checked the network in my area and nothing was down. We tried the same things the local T-Mobile store recommended and he even checked I was up to date with iOS (8.0.2) and the Network I was trying to connect to was correct. He submitted a ticket to the advanced team to fix how my phone is receiving the network signal. He told me to turn off my phone every 2 hours and it should start working within the next 3 days. Bummer, because I am PAYING FOR MY PHONE RIGHT NOW. Simply unacceptable that this is happening and I really, REALLY hope this works.

Apparently my phone was set up to receive Blackberry Data instead of iPhone Data for my data plan.Doesn't make sense to me, but it's true. All they had to do was put my phone "back" on iPhone data in their system and I was good to go in 2 hours! My data works!
If you have this problem just have T-Mobile verify the data plan you have and (the "phone type") because the T-Mobile rep said mine was incorrectly getting Blackberry data. -
Extraction of certain master data not working
Hi, we are on BI7 and some of the BC masterdata extractions are not working correctly. Some masterdata working fine, consequently communication between systems working, but some master data fields e.g. 0co_area, 0chrt_accts and more are not working fine. Get this on 3.x and new datasources.
The data does get pulled through but the upload just never goes green, and keeps running. If one look at the batch jobs (SM37) in the appropriate source system, it keeps on going until it is manually stopped.
I am only experiencing this problem with data pulled through from the production system - I am pulling it through to my testing and production box, but fails in both, where all other ECC systems are fine.
In the monitor there is a warning and the following is the details of the monitor:
Overall status: Missing Messages or warnings
Requests (messages): Everything OK (green) Data request arranged (green)
Confirmed with: OK (green)

I looked in SM58 earlier during the course of the day and there was no error, just checked again (8PM) and found some entries with error texts for BW background user - 6 errors within 10 seconds. Something to do with 'ERROR REQU... PG# IN 1' - do not have authorisation at this moment to check the specific requests, but not sure if the master data extractions would have caused these.
In the job log for the problematic jobs, only 1 IDoc get created, unlike the other succesful ones that have 3 IDocs (not sure if this means anything) -

The problem is, it is not taking the value which the user selects from the dropdown and the text field. It takes the default value as "January" and the year is "2013" as both of these values are given as selectedIndex:0 and editContents:"2013". I have compared the coding with some other working scripts as well, but it is not working. I have added several alert boxes to check the value we get.
Also, the find and change is also not working. Please help me on this. Thanks.

Import tabular data not working with Word file
The File-->Import-->Tabular Data feature works fine
with a text file, but only puts in table tags
(<table></table>) when I use a Word file (same data
with same delimiter in both files).
Any idea what's going on?You will not be able to use Import Tabular Data with a *.doc
file - how
would DW know what to import when you give it the entire
document? You
would need to use either a plain text file, as you have found
out, or save a
new document containing only the table, and import that.

When I open a new app, it does not appear in the dock.
