Embedding a publication in website

I have CS6. I have a PDF publication which I want to embed in our website so that you can go through and read each page one at a time. Similiar to http://issuu.com to give you some idea.
Is there a Cs6 product to help with this?
Kind regards,
Sam

That stuff is Flash and JavaScript and not using any PDF at all. You would have to get into web authoring using jQuery and Flash...

You can use the Select Object tool to select the link object and then right-click it and edit it via Properties.

  • Embedded videos from various websites no longer load

embedded videos from various websites no longer load. i just get a black mini screen with no controls. they do load when using other browsers and this only started within the last few days

i just tried safe mode and that makes no difference. the videos that do not load are ones embedded in websites such as the huffingtonpost etc. the website loads as normal. when i click on an article with a video the article appears but the area where the video usually appears is just a black box. typically that box contains a "promo shot" and video operating controls. recently this area is just black. this happens on numerous news type websites. when i use safari as my browser everything works fine

  • Embedded videos in many websites won't open.

I have found that the embedded videos on many but not all websites won't open now when I'm browsing in Firefox. I am running 27.0.1. I have Adobe Flash Player installed so that's not an issue. As some examples of non-openers: Embedded videos in some of the news articles on Yahoo!'s home page; videos on the davidlynchfoundation.org site. I tried disabling the "Adblock Edge" add-on, but it didn't change anything. In many cases, their is a big empty space in the text where the video should be, i.e. there isn't any indication that there's a video there. In other cases, I click on the visible start icon, but the screen of the vid just goes to black.
When I switched to Safari, all of these embedded videos opened without a hitch. I'd rather continue with Firefox, but will have to switch to Safari if we can come up with a "fix" for this problem.
I have a MacBook running Snow Leopard. This is a new problem which I haven't experienced with Firefox previously.
BTW: I have only minimal tech skills.
Thanks for any advice/help you can provide.
    Dave

    Hi Yogidave,
It sounds like the videos are not loading properly. If there are not video controls, but there is a space for the video, this means that the item is loading, but the player is not loading.
    In understanding what you tried:
I tried disabling the "Adblock Edge" add-on - it looks like this is no longer in the list of add ons that you have in the troubleshooting information, when you took this out, do the videos still leave space in the page where the video should be?
The examples you used: Yahoo homepage and the davidlynchfoundation: I know the latter uses an embedded youtube video with has its own video player that uses flash, as well at Yahoo. (I am not sure if all the videos are flash in Yahoo)
Since this is the case, can you please check your extensions to see if you have Flash installed or if you have it disabled? If so, please turn it on and visit the sites that are giving you issues to see if this resolves the problem.
This article has pretty simple instructions how to install the player if it is not there[[Install the Flash plugin to view videos, animations and games]]
The only other test I can suggest is to see if another type of embedded video does the same thing. For example, if you have netflix or hulu, see if those video players do the same thing.
I hope this helps. (also I tested those pages in beta and it loads just fine, you are not short of watching videos again in firefox)

  • Error with embedded Youtube videos on website pages

On websites that have embedded Youtube videos, I no longer see a still shot of the video , nor do they have a button to allow me play them. Instead I see I message in the box where the video should be, that says "a plugin is needed to display the content". This must be related to a setting I messed up, because a few days ago I didn't have this issue. I would appreciate some guidance. Thanks

  • Embedding a pdf in website leaves blank space at top

I am wanting to embed a pdf into my website using dreamweaver, and applying a template, but it is leaving a blank space at the top.  You can see this on www.maulroad.com/newsletter.pdf.  Here is the embed code used.
    <embed><object type="application/pdf" data="http://www.maulroad.com/Newsletter.pdf" " width="100%" height="90%" < >/object ></embed>
Any thoughts on how I can get this without the blank spot?

I agree with Hans.  Embedding PDF never works well because PDF is a print document and HTML is a web document.  In order to view PDFs, your end users must have an appropriate plug-in for their browser and a viewer  like Acrobat Reader installed on their system.  That's a lot of ifs...
This is how Adobe does it (images and links to PDF files)

  • Embedded quicktime files in website

    Hi
whats the best method of embedding some .mov h264/mp3 demos in a website WITHOUT having the videos load on page load. essentially i want an embedded player like the JW FLV Media Player which you see on blogs all the time and doesnt load the video until the user clicks on the video image - problem is it dosent work with my .movs, are there any other flash-written embedded players that will?

The technique is known as a "poster movie" page.
A simple image file format saved as a .mov file. It loads the QuickTime browser plug-in (testing the machine for a QuickTime install) and just "waits" for a viewers "click".
The click triggers the HREF link and the "target" (browser window, new browser window or QuickTime Player) downloads and displays the file.
Advantages to this method are obvious. The image format "poster" is a very tiny file size. Nothing happens until a visitor click on those images so you could have dozens of them on a single page. Nothing downloads until a visitor clicks which saves you tons of bandwidth usage.
One of my pages as an example:
    http://homepage.mac.com/kkirkster/03war/
Another method is a QuickTime Media Link file. These are tiny .qtl files that are "text based" links you can add to your page(s). Because they are text based URL's you could disguise them in the body of an html file page text. They measure in KB's (bytes, really) and a click on them would download to the viewers computer. If they have their browser set to open "Safe" files the QuickTime Player app would launch and the file would play using the Presentation settings you set for the file.
Another of my files as an example:
    http://homepage.mac.com/kkirkster/.Public/TouchofGrey.qtl
If my example reverts to the "small" version please wait about 30 seconds and then hit Command-F to revert to full screen so more data can download.

  • Safari IOS7 wont display embeded youtube vids on websites - help!

Hi, anyone else having this issue?
My website has embeded youtube vids in it, but neither safari or chrome will display them after the IOS7 update. First time you land on the page they are there, move away and come back, or refresh, and they vanish, but are still there as you can hear them playing if you click where they were...
    David

I have the same problem , sometimes the videos are displayed and sometimes you don't see anything...
I've tried it on all my devices with ios7 ( iPhone 5 , iPad 4 & iPad mini )  and they all have this problem , so this must be a bug in ios7 !!!

  • Embedding form code into website

I've tried several times by copying the form code and pasting it into the html coding area of the website and when I go over to the visual side it shows nothing...

    Yes, that it correct.
Ok, so I switched to FancyBox 2 and am just trying to figure out where/how to embed my form script......

  • Firefox 24.5.0 ESR will not play WMP 12.0.7601.17514 in embedded HTML on my website. I have the plugin activated.

The Windows media player movie will not play on my website. The extension on the wmp object is .wmv. I have tried several versions of code and activated and deactivated the Windows media plugins but I am still not having any luck. I also read that copying the plugins to a browser/plugin folder would work but no luck there. Microsoft Windows Media player plugin for Firefox. 1.0.0.8 is activated. I have deactivated Windows Media player plug in dynamic link library.

    HI,
Thank you for your question, in order to further troubleshoot please see the following:

  • Embedding swf in my website

hi i want to upload a slideshow in my html, its a swf file.
can anyone tell me the coding i have to input to embed the swf.
    cheers

Well, it might be there's a problem with something else in your page.
Can you have a stab at inserting the flash file after following a tutorial and then post a link to a live page?
I think that having a live example is really the quickest way to get help.

  • Problems embedding keynote slideshow on my website

I have uploaded a keynote presentation from my iPad to iWork.com.  I would like to embed this presentation on my website but there is no "show embed code" option under the "show public link" option when I am signed into iWork.com.  I do not see anyone posting about this so I'm not sure why I don't have this option or how I can get the code to embed my keynote presentaiton as a slideshow.  Please help!

    ok i understand
I've just check what you explained in your email and you are right :
When you share your document thanks to the option "publish on the web", you first have the possibility to copy an embed code (i pasted it on Textedit and it works perfectly). But once it's done, unfortunately, it seems not possible to retreive the embeded code on the website.
I am sorry not to give you a better answer, but for me either it is not possible to find the embeded code in the iwork.com website
the only one solution i found is to upload again the keynote file.
    Best regards,
    Leguall
