Emoticon/Smileys not displaying... I get TEXT ;-) instead!

Hi, This just started out of the blue. DIdn't do any update or anything. I click to send a SMILEY face in my ichat and on my end I see the TEXT version of the smiley instead of the cute image. What can be causing this? I tried to quit iChat and open it again but it's not fixing it. Please help since the TEXT SMILEY are not very cute to look at.

Double Click on any Buddy just to open a text chat window.
Go to the View Menu > Messages
In here the top items should read Hide Smilies when they are being Shown and Show Smilies when they are not. (you can toggle the same line to turn them On and Off and it changes what it reads)
You can only do this with a Chat window open, although you can see the setting looking in the same place when Buddy list is the Front window (you just can't change it).
There are rare occasions when iChat loses contact with the File that tells it which Text bits to make into Smilies but you will obviously come back and tell us if the above does not help.

I have tried all options that I have found on your forum with no luck. I went as far as resting my Firefox to default with no success.
Using MAC 10.8.5
My setting are set up correct - Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above is checked.
I also rest this as well

Emoticons Will not display with new version

Downloaded the new version, and now the (finger) and (wtf) emoticons will not display. Every single other one does display. Why is this happening? I have tried restarting my computer, and redownloading Skype itself. Is there any way to fix this? I know I have the emoticons display on because every one BUT those ones work.

NOt able to get text value for 0calmonth in the query

hi,
I am not able to get the test for the calmonth in the selection screen of the Query.
i.e If the user enter the value 01/2010 as input in the selection screen. I am not able to get its text Janurary 2010 displayed in the selection screen of the query.
please let me know what could be the reason for this.

I regret to inform you there is no option to display the month text.
The system works as designed. The "Key and text" option for the
infoObject is for display the technical name and the description.

Use this FM READ_TEXT' and pass the so no, language and id as shown below, for example in me23n --> enter po no --- click text tab ---. click header text there. In the area rightside to header text. click on that area --- then goto goto in menu ---> click header --> there u will find text id and text object there and pass them to the FM along with ur sono.

How to get Text instead of key in a ListBox or DropDown

I have a Listbox Country and I would like to get the Country name selected instead of key.
for example if i select India , i am getting corresponding key value for India not the actual text India.
How would i get that

Place the following JavaScript code on the Change event of your ListBox
xfa.host.messageBox("TEST: " + xfa.event.newText);
This code should give you the actual Text for your entries.

Yen Symbol Not Displayed Correctly in Text

I am trying to create a text file in the application server using the command "OPEN DATASET IN TEXT MODE", which I am able to do so far. The data to be transferred to the text file contains the Yen Symbol: ¥ or ALT+0165. The symbol is being displayed correctly in SAP, but when I open the text file created my notepad is only displaying a small box or dot:

Firefox and Safari browser not displaying images and text properly

Hello,
I am new to the support/discussion forum and previously ran Windows on my Macbook OS X 10.5.8. I switched over to the Mac OS X and am finding that the Safari and Firefox browser shows much images/text as 'squished' or not aligned properly. I suppose this is due to development and the cross browser formats are not compatible.
However, I would like to ask if there is some display error in the system preferences or perhaps even some coding I'm not looking at to correct or fix the appearance.
Can anyone please help me out? I appreciate it:)

You are not using the latest Spry files
The latest version of the Adobe Spry Framework is 1.6.1, this is the same version that ships with Dreamweaver CS4. If you use Dreamweaver CS3 (uses Spry 1.4), its wise to upgrade your files to the latest version. This can easily be done using the Spry Updater that can be found here.
Then, if you have a look near the bottom of SpryMenuBarVertical.css you will see that the white background colour has been specified for IE as in
@media screen, projection
    ul.MenuBarVertical li.MenuBarItemIE
    display: inline;
    f\loat: left;
    background: #FFF;
Change the value to #CCC and it will have fixed that part of the problem.
When you upgrade to the later version of Spry, make sure to keep a copy of the CSS file as a reference to modifying the new CSS file.

Image not displaying with HTML text field

I am trying to display am image within
flash using CS3.
I have a text field with the following code.
feedback.htmlText = "<img src='Logo_small.png'</img>"
nothing displays. The image and flash document are at the same level, so that is why I am using a relative link. Do I need to use a full (absolute) link to the image?

image tags do not have a closing tag and you didn't close the opening tag if they did, so it would still fail.

BI Publisher 11g - not able to get TEXT output in the email body

I am trying to send TEXT report output generated by ETEXT templates in the email body by setting up the Bursting defintion in the Data Model using the following query. It is always sending it as an attachment though PARAMETER6 is set as false. Please advise on how to make it work?
It seems PARAMETER6 does not have any effect on how it works.

Control click or Right Click on the attachment in the body of the email and select 'View as icon'.
There is a (paid for) mail plugin called Attachment Tamer which helps Mail do a much better of handling attachments - giving much more control over how they are viewed/arranged/received. It's available from http://lokiware.info/Attachment-Tamer
(Usual caveat, I've no connection with Lokiware, just happy with their product).

Arabic numerals not displaying in Swing text components

On a test system setup with Windows NT Arabic version, we had problems entering Arabic numerics into Swing text components.
Other Arabic characters were displayed correctly, but numerals were all represented by Western characters ('0 to 9'). Even when using the "Alt-" method to enter the Unicode character codes via. the keypad, we still got incorrect characters.
When using the keypad to enter the code '\u0660' (Arabic "1"), the code sent to the text component was '\u2022' (Bullet).
We tried this on an English system and the same code was passed to the text component.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the cause of this problem ?

Fl.* components not displaying correctly, getting error 2007 and 1009. help me please

I am trying to make my application use Flash components, but I have a problem with displaying them correctly. I've used Flash CS5 to export them into .SWC. In Flex it seems that their graphics doesn't load, and below is a screenshot how it looks with a Button and UILoader. I couldn't find any solution, as I've searched other forums.
And also I've selected all flash components to be included in the .SWC library, but almost half of them is missing when I include the file in Flex. Is maybe some catalog corrupted or is it an issue with Flash CS5? I hope somebody can help please!

Help! Iphoto will not display, only get a revolving beachball!

Need help very new to MAC and i'm one very frustrated dude at this point! I don't even know how to tell you what OS i'm using. Here's my issue was trying to import new photo to Iphoto from an SD card and all I can get is a revolving beachball and a blank white screen. what can I do t fix it?

Update Results not Displayed in Oracle Text search with Transactional Index

I am working on a solution utilising Oracle Text to give me a probable list of matching records. The problem I have the table I am searching on is prepopulated with seed data and the application we are building is assigning a record and updating the details(columns) against it. This detail is what we are searching on using an Multi Column Datastore index which is refreshed every hr and also has the transactional parameter specified. Unfortunately the Transactional Index does not pick up the updated details, it only seems to work if I insert a new record (which will never happen). This to me sounds like a bug. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Detailed Navigation not displaying giving ip address instead of hostname

I created applications in web dynpro.So i imported in the Enterprise Portal.
In that I created Role----Under That Worksets (X ,Y ,Z, W) -For each workset I created more than 4 Pages to that---For each page i added Iview.
I added "IP Address" and "HostName" in the c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/host
Then i login into the Portal with normal URL
http://<HostName>:50000/irj/portal
So its Displaying.....Up to this its fine...
If suppose i want to login with
http://<IP Address>:50000/irj/portal....Under Each Workset, one page is showing,,,means one Iview is Visible...means Detailed Navigation is not showing.
All Pages are not visible...
Please any one help me to do this....
So its not possible to say to anyone ,,,,u have to add this ip Addrss in the path.
Please Provide the Permanent solution ,,even by giving IP address also all pages and Iviews must see..

Hi Sushma,
I am not sure if the same apply when you access the URL through the IP. The SAP BI works on the concept of Fully Qualified domain names for access and also there is a system of web dispatchers which are configured for the domain name to handle report requests.
Also with portal in place you will not be able to see the URL of the application running within portal
for example the URL we see are
ttp://<xyz>.com/irj/portal but then the individual URLs for the applications running within the portal cannot be seen...due to security reasons.
That could be the possible case.
Regarding Use of Portal at client place:
1. You can use the VPN connectivity. You will only need to give the access rights to the perticular id & that will be all.
2. Assign the portal port to the some global address. That will work.
But, I suggest, VPN is better.
