Cache issue coming in Start Process for Employee iView under MSS

Hi,
Navigate to MSS -> Team -> HCM Process and Forms -> Start Process for Employee
In Start Process for Employee iView, when I clicks on Refresh link at the bottom right of the table the Direct Reports got removed from the table (which is correct) but when I navigates to some other screen and comes back then again the previous data comes back. It seems to be cache level issue. Even I logs off and login the same data comes back which should not happen.
I have checked the forum [Team=>Personnel Developent=>Employee Search; and found it that Refesh property will work if I set the parameter of iview Cache Lifetime = -1 then it will disable the caching at all.
And I wants the same behaviour for Start Process for Employee iView. But I am not able to find the similar property in Start Process for Employee iView.
Anyone have an idea of What is the resolution for this issue?

now I understand your problem )
To me it sounds like an OADP cache issue rather than one in Portal. The iview uses OADP which again uses the cache which does not reflect on the actual current org-structure.
One possibility would be enhancing the WD4A and call FMs
HRWPC_OADP_DELETE_TGTOBJCACHE
HRWPC_OADP_DELETE_SRCHOBJCACHE
HRWPC_OADP_DELETE_NAVOBJCACHE
HRWPC_OADP_DELETE_DATAVWCACHE
dependent on what you want to delete to refresh.
I would probably try to enhance HookMethod WDDOINIT in Component Controller and call them there, but that's just a guess; could be complete nonesense.
Another possibility would be trying to add the application parameter "sap.xss.req.crt.cachelifetime=0" to the iView.

Release Employee Information-MSS for a number of employees

Hi,
Through the Release Employee Information in MSS, a manager can grant access of an employee's record to another manager.
There is a requirement where in a Manager can grant access of many employees to a manager at one go.
Is this possible.

then u can get pernr from IT-0001 or from IT-1001 for that positions,
then get required data from IT-0002 & IT-0105(email address if maintained check subtype).

Employee Information iViews dont display in MSS

Hi All,
I installed and configured MSS Business packages. All the MSS is views seems to work fine but for the <b>Employee Information iViews</b>.
We have ERP2005, EP7.0 of NW2004s SP9.
After logging into the Portal as an MSS user I go to Team and when I click either General Information or Compensation Information or Personnel Development under <b>Employee Information</b> I get the pop windiw with all iview but no display.
However when I click the show in new window option under Show details option on the top right hand corner of the iView page I do get to see the information on the pop window...
what could be the problem here??

Just like HR admin role, Employee Information number is getting passed in Display Processes, Start Processes, and Personnel File, we have to make same scenario working for MSS also.
In MSS, General Information Page, when manager selects the Employee, then that Employee Number should get passed in Display Personnel File and also in Start Process.
I am new to HR module so I have not explined the requirement properlly, but Experts may be knowing this. Please help.

2. But user wants these views in the Detailed Navigation, so if he selects PERNER from general Information Page, and then if he clicks on "Start Process (under Detailed Navigation)" , then it shud show list of processes for that Employee.

Under MSS Exit interview emploee search --no employees found

In the portal under MSS exit interview form a people manager(administrator)is unable to see pernr to perform exit interview form.I have assigned that particular administrator in T526 table and pernr is assigned to that administrator inspite of that no emplyee is found in search.Can anybody guide me

Can you elaborate on what iview it is and from what busines package you have included it? Is it HCM forms based exit interview process where a manager can select employee from his / her team or HR administrator who can free search for employee and fill out the form?

Employee information is empty in MSS- Team in NWBC

Dear all Gurus,
Before starting I must say I searched on this topic in SCN & found numerous threads on the same. But all are having different solutions & most of them are in portal & using LPD_CUST. In my case we are in NWBC.
I have already maintained the relationships for employee & manager using pa30 & po13.
Now if an employee create a leave or travel request, it will appear in the managers work item.
But in manager id, if we go to team -> employee information. it is showing no data exists.
We haven't done any customizations or configurations for this.
What I am missing & what I should do to display the reporting employees for the manager.??
We are in NW 7.4.

I doubt it is related to NWBC or you using the PFCG roles. Ask your basis/security admins to run a authorization trace, most likely it is a authorization issue maybe even structural/context one.

Team - Employee Information, Employee Working Times etc.

Hi Experts,
On MSS, I am not able to see Employee Information, Working Times, Performance Management, Competency Management, and Personnel Change Request services under main service of Team. It doesn't display any of above services under Team.
I can only see Team Calendar, Headcount and Recruiting Position which are available right hand side on portal.
Is their any specific setting required to view the same? Do we need to do any specific settings on portal?

Issue is fixed, Refer sap note 1662200
Its available in SP for SAP PCUI_GP 633.
The problem originates from class
FcTeamCalendar. For some reason, the character ';' is no longer valid
in the xml, hence, gets rejected by the Java WD runtime. The string is
parsed against the pattern "[a-zA-Z_0-9]*". Hence, I have replaced ';'
by '_'. The IGS colleagues have confirmed that this should be working
fine now.
If you have NWDS available, here are the manual steps to make this
change:
1. Edit class FcTeamCalendar.java.
2. Replace "private static final String SEPARATOR = ";";" by
           "private static final String SEPARATOR = "_";"
3. Save your changes, rebuild and deploy.

Removing Sevices from General Information in MSS

I am very new to EP, i want to remove some links like PCR,Photo and etc from General Information in MSS. How we can remove thse links?

Hi Ramesh,
To remove the services you need to do the following:
Go to transaction spro & look for Cross Application components to Home Page Framework to Services to Assign Services to Sub Areas.
If you want to hide a service in a sub area that has been delivered by SAP, proceed as follows:
1. Look up the relevant entry in the first view (Assign Services to Sub Areas(Find Entries)) of this IMG activity.
2. Repeat this entry with position 0 in the second view(Assign Services to Sub Areas (Add & Change Entries)) of this IMG activity.
Go to tcode SPRO in the backend and Personnel management to employee self services to service specific settings to address book to who's who to who's who:maintain settings then uncheck the photo check box
Follow it & you will get your problem solved.

How to get only direct reporting person under MSS

Hi All,
We have got a requirement to Display direct reporting under MSS in EP.
According to standard SAP functionality there could be only one manager in an orgunit(Chief) and if we need other managers under that we need to create a sub orgunit and make that manager as Chief.
In Standard functionality it only shows all the employees under that Chief, and shows nothing for other managers in the same org unit.
Our requirement is that it should show only the direct reporting empoyees irrespetive of Chief in the same orgunit.
for the purpose system uses two rules: MSS_TMV_RULE1, MSS_TMV_RULE5.
In these rules two evaluation paths are being used SAP_MANG, MSSDIREC.
I created custom evaluation paths, but it's not working.
Could any of you suggest how to solve this.

Employee Search in MSS Approve Time Sheet Data

Employee Search in MSS Approve Time Sheet Data (Net Weaver Portal 2004s)
In MSS we need upper level managers to be able to approve time for employees who reside in lower level org units and are not the managers direct reports. This is usually the case when the chief the employees do report to directly is absent.
In the MSS Team view the links General Information, Compensation Information and Personnel Development have an Employee Search iView with a dropdown containing options for Direct Reports, Employees from Organizational Structure, Employees from Organizational Units and Employee Search. We have been told that in previous versions of MSS that functionality existed in the Approve Time Sheet Data iView as well which would appear to solve our problem.
Is this functionality available in Approve Time Sheet Data and if so how is it configured? Or is there another way (other than manipulating the org structure) for managers to view non-direct reports and approve their time?

I was able to resolve the issue. The problem was in the where clause which was filtering out employee data based on region.
