Employee photo size

Hello, I know how to make the photo of the employees appear, but I want to show a larger version, not by double clicking the normal one. I want it to appear as large as I want by default. Is there any way to do that without changing the sap internal code?

i) Photo Types
You can differentiate the specifications and checks for photographs by photo type. Default values: NORMAL and PREVIEW
ii) File Size Check
Checks the maximum size of the graphics file; default value 10 Kilobyte for the photo types NORMAL and PREVIEW
iii) Format Check
<i><b>Checks the size (H x W) and resolution (bits per pixel) for graphics files of type JPEG.</b></i>
Default values for the photo types NORMAL and PREVIEW:
- - Depth: 24 bits per pixel
- - Height: 130 pixels
- - Width: 100 pixels

Consistently size employee photos with PSE 9

I have PSE 9 and would like to use it to consistently size all employee photos for ID badges. For example, after taking the employee’s picture, it would be uploaded/dragged into PSE and cropped appropriately, then saved at the ideal size. Overtime, this would involve hundreds of photos so it’s important that all photos be consistently sized for importation to the ID badge application and to use with Outlook email active directory. Years ago this was accomplished by creating a template in Photoshop, which I do not have. Can this be done with PSE and if so, can someone provide instructions. I’m new to this… Thanks

Thank you. I'm looking more at bringing in the raw image and crop accordingly. I want each photo when all is said and done to be the same size. For example, I take photos of a new employee today for ID badge purposes. I import the raw image into PSE, crop, save as a jpeg, and upload into the ID badge program. Tomorrow, I take another photo of a new hire employee and repeat the steps. Next week we get new employees and repeat the process. I would like to develop a process that would consistently make the cropped employee photos uniform each and every-time.

Employee Photos - Recommended Size and Resolution

Hello All,
Please can anyone advise on the recommended photo size and resolution to be used to provide the highest quality photo available on the infotype header ? Also, if there is a difference to use the photo format BMP or JPEG ?
This information is required in order to ensure that there is a minium photo standard commuinicated before starting the implementation on SAP HR system.
All information or experiences of photo size and/or resolution used will be much appreciated.

Employee Photo not displayed in ESS- Who's Who Services

Hi All..
My employee photo upload was successful in Quality System . I can also view the photo both in R/3 employee related facsmiles , header of PA20, PA30. and also the same photo's are displayed in ESS - Who's Who services.
steps I used-
OANR, OAC2, V_T585O, OAC3, OAC0 and for manual upload OAAD & OAOH.
For Mass Upload - program- OA_UPLOAD_AND_LINK
In production in the same way , all the photo's can be seen in the facsmiles but if I checked in Who's Who..Its coming like a outline with a red cross on top corner but without any photo.

currently i am facing issue with Employee Photo Under ESS--> Emp Search --> Change Own Data.
All my Employee Photos are uploaded in ECC, i am able to see from PA30 Header.
we are having same setup in QA- Environment , all the employee Photos we are able to see from Portal.
But in Production Environment, We are Having One Central Instance and Three application Instances and configured Load Balancing among Central Instance and Application Instances.
All the Servers Content Server in SICF t-Code is activated.
If i login into Prod Portal [either Centeal Instance or Application Instance] some time Employee Photo is Displaying Some time not,i.e No Photo at the top of corner X symbol. If i right click check on that URL, its poiting to the ECC server content server.
But If Not is Displaying --> Size is Showing Not Avaliable but Demension is Displaying.
But if Photo is Displaying ---> Both Size and Dimensions are Displaying Properly...

Hi,
for uploading the photograph you need to do some customization.
1. Initial customization
Execute transaction code OAQ1 and put X in all the boxes.
Execute t code OAB4 and schedule the job
Execute t code SPAD and configure an output device
Execute T code OANR and configure the number range
Execute T code OAGI and deactivate Print list management system
EXecute T code SA38 and execute program RAPARAM and check for rspo/archive_format and make sure it should have 2 assigned on it.
2. Execute t code OAC0 and configure content repository
    Execute t code OAC2 and make your document type
    Assign JPG doc class to your doc type made in OAC2 in t code OAC3.
3. Now go to transaction code OAD5 and configure your settings
   Come to t code OAWD and upload all your scanned photo to SAP
I know the procedure is tedious and lenghthy but there is no way out.

Upload Employee Photo into SAP

Hi,
Due to employee photo is stored as ArchiveLink and I tried to upload it by LSMW, but it doesn't work. I was wordering that, the document that stored in ArchiveLink can be uploaded by LSMW or not.
Has anyone used to upload employee's photo into SAP? If so, how?

Employee Photos

Hello experts,
I want to upload the employee photos in SAP B1 v8,8.
I was wondering if there is a preferred or suggested picture type (JPG, bitmap) and what size is suggested for the image?

Pam,
You could attach any size pictures with any format but I always suggest our b1 customer to use jpeg or png files that use small size.
The main important things to know is that the picture is store in the path you have defined in the general settings and not in the B1 table. So, the more biggest size will increase the harddisk space.

Show Employee Photo in EP

Hi Experts,
I have uploaded employee photo in PA30 and i am having FM to get the URL, through that URL it's showing the picture in EP.
Requirement : I want to show small picture in EP but its showing picture based on the picture size, if we will check PA30 there we are getting small picture, that picture is not depending on the size, PA30 resizing, how i can handle this problem.
Question: Can i resize the picture through URL

if you are using some web dynpro there is somthing IMAGE UI element you can put the property for it as per your image size requirment.
i think PA30 resizing will not work for EP.

Calling infotype 0002 in ALV report for showing employee photo

Hi all,
The requirment from business side is a report in which employees personal data shuold be shown with employee photo, I had tried for employee photo in ALV report but it didnt sucessed, then I went for other solution like calling transaction in ALV report.
In this case I am calling Infotype 0002 but the issue is that the transaction PA20 is coming with PERNR but I am not able to go directlly to infotype which shows employee Photo,please suggest any solution.

It is possible. Please refer the syntax for the CALL TRANSACTION
CALL TRANSACTION ta { [AND SKIP FIRST SCREEN]

You can do a recording till the required page comes & call the transaction accordingly. Hope, you are aware about the same.

By "sending" do you mean sending email?
If so, what app are you using to take the photos on your iPhone 5? Or are the photos from a different source (saved to your Camera Roll from somewhere else, like a web page or Messages)?
My guess is that Mail gives you the option to send different file sizes when it detects you are trying to Mail a really large photo file. The size of photos on the iPhone 5 is really big and some email providers may stop your mail from being delivered if attachments are too large. Thus, Mail tries to help you by offering to resize the photo.
I suspect that if you are sending smaller files, Mail does not bother giving you options to save a smaller version. In fact, I have seen this behavior. So, if the photo is already "small enough", it gets sent as-is.
To my knowledge, there is no global iOS setting for this. Some apps may have different rules, of course.

you have to go with OAC0 tcode here in content repository double click on A5 which is standard one go in details-->clickon fulladministration then in that screen you will be having Basic path and Achive path there basis people need to give sapgui code.
they will be have this code in servermanagemt. i am not clear of this code where they can find. but i am sure of that this code will be given by basis people only. then go with OAOH tcode. give the details as usal and one more thing is that the photo should be save jpeg formate.

Normally there might be many reasons for pics not getting displayed, as u have said that the photo is already visible in R/3 then u need to check the following things
1) check S_WFAR_OBJ authorization object has been maintained or not.
2) Access T-code PZUSWHO & check whether the following settings are maintained or not.

Under the view designation in iPhoto, the photo pane and photo size options are grayed out. How can I get them turned back on so I can modify the size of small old photo I have scanned in.

There is no way to increase the size of a photo image once it's been scanned/taken. If you want larger images from a scanned image scan it at a higher resolution, dpi.
Additionally, with the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what do you mean by "view designation"?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?

Get employee photo and display the photo in external system.

The photo is the same one that appear in pa20/30...
We create the photos in OAAD and have a table repository.
How from here i can use this to build a RFC that return "data"..that from the external system we can show the photo,

write a RFC which uses
'HR_IMAGE_EXISTS' to get the image document id and then use 'ALINK_RFC_TABLE_GET' to image in JPG format convert the returned RAW table to xstring format using SCMS_BINARY_TO_XSTRING pass the resulting xstring as the export parameter of this RFC .
portal application can now use this xsring to render the image.
