Encore CS6 - Bluray; some buttons with wrong color (precomposed White Wedding)

Hello,
Yesterday, I've authored a DVD with the White Wedding template from precomposed. Everything is fine and ok!
Today, I started with the Blu-ray version of the same movie.
So, I created a new project, import the menu assets/menus/videos. Linked everything and created the Blu-ray-image.
All things are fine exept the buttons from the Scenemenu. In Encore, Photoshop and the preview from Encore, the buttons are black. But when I view it with PowerDVD they are grey.
On the Mainmenu, I've used the same buttons in black and they are black in PowerDVD. Same for the special features menu. It's also ok.
I've used this template a lot on Encore CS5.5 and never have a problem. But I need CS6 for the chapterplaylists (Blu-ray).
Strange thing is that the DVD is good but the Blu-ray version not.
Hope someone can point me in the right direction

After more trying:
What I've done: Removing transparency from the Photoshop file. The four buttons are white (ffffff).
When setting the Selected state in Encore to 93%, there is a lot of transparency (looks much more than 93%) in the four buttons and the 'Heart-button' has no transparency. But when I go below the 93%, the heart-button becomes transparent and it looks that the transparency from the four buttons didn't change. The stay very transparent and grayish.
But in Encore all looks good.
Edit:
When I set the transparency in Photoshop to 93%, I got also transparency on the four buttons and not on the Heart and next/prev buttons. I can even go to 92%, but below that, the buttons are messed up.

Help Me with Encore CS6 Menu and buttons

Hi I need help with Encore CS6 Menu's. I have a Premiere CSs 6 video which is 3 hours long and 21 chapters. It looks like I can get 18 of the buttons to work. I also want to set up a exit button. Is there a 18 button limit to a menu? Should I be looking at using menu index's or play lists?

I assume you have a single video on one timeline, and you have chapter markers for your chapters.
A button (e.g. "play movie") links to the timeline (default is chapter one, which is what you want). The end action of the timeline is "last menu."
Commonly, a second button on the main menu goes to a chapters menu. Each chapter menu has links back to the main menu and to the next and previous chapter menus.
For EACH chapter, you create a chapter playlist with that one chapter in it. The end action of the chapter play list is "return to last menu."
There are no end actions on chapters and no overrides anywhere in the project using this method.

DNG files rendered with wrong color profile?

Does someone else also have a problem with DNG (digital negative) files showing incorrect colors when opened in Apple software (Preview, iPhoto, Aperture..)?
I have a Nikon D750 and currently consider using DNG as archive format for my RAW files.
But the converted DNG files are shown with a wrong color profile when opened via Apple's own camera raw framework...
It works in Adobe software - such as Lightroom - but any software using the OS X internal camera raw framework seems to use the wrong color profile when opening the DNG. Note that the original D750 NEF files are opened and rendered correctly.
I am using OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 with the latest Camera Raw Compatibility Update 6.02 installed.
On the Adobe side, it is Lightroom 5.7 and DNG Converter 8.7.1.
I tried all kinds of different conversion settings. It does not seem to make a difference whether I embed preview images in the DNG or not, whether I shoot in 12 or 14bit RAW, and whether I include the original RAW file into the DNG or not. I also tried to explicitly select the 'Camera Standard' color profile in Lightroom first and then export the DNG, but still on the OS X side the resulting image looks wrong as compared to the original NEF.
Any other Nikon user here who could verify my problems?

A few simple tests on your end may help you better understand:
1. Capture the same image (same camera settings in RAW and JPEG)
2. Open these images in Canon DPP - they will be a close match, this is because Canon DPP and the Canon camera itself use similar RAW processing algorithms
3. Open convert the CR2 to DNG, and open the CR2, DNG, and JPEG in Adobe Camera RAW - the CR2 and DNG should be a very close (if not identical) match if you use the same processing settings for each, since they are both being processed by ACR's algorithms; the JPEG will probably not match as it was processed with Canon's algorithms
What you are seeing is at the HEART of raw processing, and has nothing to do with color spaces or with DNG being at fault. The very nature of RAW processing means every processor (DPP, ACR, CaptureOne, etc) will produce different results by default - that's not to say that with some adjustments you can't match one processor's results to another, but it won't be the case by default.
The choice of RAW processor has FAR more an impact on your results than color space - in fact color space should have virtually no visual impact, though depending on the scene photographed you might have better gradations in some color spaces, better handling of highly saturated colors in some, but the overall look should remain close regardless of color space choice.
Further, as has been pointed out by others, raw files (which includes CR2 and DNG) do not have a color space - raw files are by definition raw image data which has yet to be processed into a color space. When you see color space assignments in RAW processors, that is relevant to the files you create FROM the raw files, not relevant to the raws themselves.
Before bringing inflammatory language and false assumptions to a forum with a high level of expert membership you might want to research the issue, and devise some simple tests (like above) to help you understand the issue first.

Encore cs6 bluray project crashes encore at the build start.

I thing there is a bug in the new Encore Cs6. I have created a project in encore cs6 and when trying to build a bluray Encore crashes at the beginning of the build.
When I open the same project in encore cs5.1 it will work fine and complete the build and the burn (though if I am trying to use the same blank disk it will ask for a media even though I cannot see anything written on the blank disk, but it will build and burn just fine with a fresh flank media).
The DVD projects work fine in cs6, it is only the bluray that crashes every time.

Want to create some button like font color button in MS Word?

hi all
i am writing a editor like MS Word, but small version with some basic functions: font family, font size, bold, italic... and font color.
so i need some UI for font color similar to the one in MS Word.
now i created a panel with two button; one shows the current color, and another show up JColorChooser when it is clicked; called JColorButton.
now the problem i am having now is i created the icon similar to the down-arrow in JComboBox. but the size of that arrow changes depending on Look & feel and i could not able to make it similar to it for my own created button.
any suggestion? ideas? i really appreciate it.
currently,i am trying to get the image of down-arrow from JComboBox on the fly. but no luck yet.

i checked BasicArrowButton. I replaced it with my JColorButton as second one, like in MS Word or Back button in Internet Explorer. but the size of arrow is smaller than the one in JComboBox beside it because the size of that button is smaller than JComboBox's size. so it still did not solve the problem yet.
i wonder if there is any button which function the same as Font color button in MS word or Back button in Internet Explorer.
or is there any way i can get the information about L&F about arrow of JComboBox?
and also i make JToolBar to be rollover, so the border of button show only when the mouse is over. but how can i do this same affect on my JColorButton, which is a panel with two buttons in it.

Prints coming out with wrong colors

I am currently running win 7 64 with lightroom 4.3and an Epson Stylus Pro 3880 networked. I also have a HP 2610 as local. When printing to the Epson I get print with a lot of red to the point it looks pink or purple. This is with the color management driver set to custom and color management turned off or vice versa with color controlled by printer. If I print to the HP colors look great. I really need help with this problem. I have tried different paper outputs with no luck. I also have the same problem in CS5. So I would think its something I am missing.

It seems that is a problem that a few people had with the Epson 3880.
Red or magenta prints indicate double color management, i.e. in Lr and in the printer driver.
Check your settings carefully. If you let the printer manage colors you have to select "Managed by Printer" in Lr/ Print Module / Print Job / Color Management / Profile.
If I recall correctly one poster found that an old print preset that was created for a different printer was creating the problem.
There are lots of threads on this forum regarding problems with the Epson 3880. Do a search by entering "Epson 3880" in the search field where it says "Ask a question".

CP5 - W7 - Button Transparency Yellow color - flooding white areas

This one has gone crazy...
Why? I have really looked at every setting.. and checked that I treated every image the same... Actually, all images are in the same PSD and therefore automatically the same options when saving.
1. I need to use exactly this yellow color
2. I need the transparency, because there are effects running in the background that will show around the outer edges.
3. I can not find any choice that says choose this color as alpha... that might have solved the problem
Is this a bug? An undeveloped feature to not set the Alpha, or just me that can not understand the tool.
Please help me with a corect or incorrect way to fix this

Hi there
You need to open the image in an image editing application and scrutinize a close up. The transparent color traditionally used in Captivate is based on the color of the pixel at coordinate 0,0 (upper left). It would appear this pixel is the same color as the face.
Usually a safe trick is to flood fill the area you wish to become transparent with an odd color such as fuschia.

PDF files with wrong colors

Hi All,
I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I probably cannot guess the right search string to find the relevant thread.
I've recently upgraded from FM6 Mac to FM9 Win. My old FM6 documents have two kinds of problems in FM9:
1) replaced fonts horizontally scaled to 80%
2) colors looking good on the display, but bad when converted to PDF
As for issue #1, I couldn't do other than editing all the paragraph styles. But eventually I could solve it in a way or the other.
But issue #2, I cannot seem to come to an end with it. The original color was a Pantone swatch, that I can also find in the Win version of FM. In fact, when opening the FM file, it looks at it used to do on the Mac.
However, either I save as PDF from the File > Save to PDF menu command, or print a file using the PDF driver (with the Press Quality selected), the resulting color is wrong. What used to be a Grey-Blue Pantone 191-7, is now some sort of Cyan. Tones change slightly whether I convert using the Print > Do not save file trick, or use Acrobat Distiller 8 on the Mac with different settings; but the original color is never reproduced.
Oddly, an EPS file in the same FM file looks perfectly good - the original color is there. What a contrast with the oddly-colored text and lines in the remaining parts of the document!
Maybe someone has already gone through this issue, and has a solution for me. I'm literally loosing my sleep to try to solve this issue.

In short words, for the "Save as PDF" CMYK version:
- Spot colors from imported definitions are converted to CMYK
- Spot colors from FM Pantone library are correctly output as Pantone colors *
- Spot colors in imported EPS files are always correctly output
* I was able to nail down the spot color bug: The critical element is the "Name of color" entry in the color definition dialog (below the dropdown/entry field "Name"). If there is a name, then the color will be correctly output as a pantone color. You can see this, if you define a color taken from the FM library, they all contain a "Name of color" entry. Self-defined colors or colors which came in by graphics import don't contain a name there, and are output as CMYK colors.
You can fix this behaviour, if you save your FM files as MIF, and add the required lines at the color definitions yourself. I for example used self defined spot colors, and added the lines
<ColorLibraryFamilyName `WambaSamba self-defined'>
<ColorLibraryInkName `WambaSamba Blue'>

OVS Buttons with wrong Label on Portal

Hello,
I have a Web Dypro application that uses an OVS. The OVS works fine and looks fine when I test on my locally installed Application Server.
But when I run the application on the Portal ( the OVS opens fine and does its functionality) the OVS Button "Go" does not have the text "Go" written on it, it has the text "view.MainView.gr.c.tc.goSearch.text" written on it.
there is also an other button next to the "Go" button that i do not see when I run the OVS locally. This is the button "Exit" also with the wrong label "view.MainView.gr.c.tc.exit.text".
The portal team assumes that this behaviour is connected with a prior path, but they do not know exactly.
Can you help? Is it a Bug that was caused with a Patch?
Is it possible to fix/ override the button's texts?

Encore cs6 library some templates missing after downloading library content

Using Creative cloud cs6 Encore. Following instruction in link below but only menu items loaded. Buttons, images, backgrounds etc are blank. I was under the impression that there were templates for these items as well.

Ran into the thing myself, installing the "Functional Content" stuff does nothing, found that I had to scroll down further on page to where it says
Additional solution: Install the Resource Central library content

Then I choose "English" to start the download. Is about 1.7GB I believe, and follow the instructions and this gives you ALL the goodies for Encore!

Two buttons with different colors

I am very new to the Web Dynpro. I have placed two buttons in my web dynpro application. What to want to change the first button color to RED and Seond button color to GREEN. How to do this?

We have very limited options while changing the colors of the UIElements in WebDynpro.
There is no direct way to change the color.
For the Button UIElement we have a property called Design.
You can set the property value to "emphasized" or "standard" to get different look & feel.

Options to move your tool bars above the tabs? And options to shade tabs and buttons with different colors?

In this version my tool bars are below my tabs, I like my tabs directly above my page. And in this version the tabs are almost see through which is fine except it would be cool if we had an option to change the color of them you could still keep them almost see through but let us add a tint of color to them, as well as add color to the other buttons in the browser bar.

Illustrator CS6 - error when open with wrong locale

Hey Everyone.
I hope this is the correct forum to ask this question...
I've the Master Collection oft Adobe CS6 for Windows in German. My Computers locale (german: "Gebietsschema") is set to japanese. If I try to open Illustrator I get an error, that I can't open it with this locale set. If I change the locale to "German (Switzerland)" it works.
Every other Adobe Program I tried out yet, has worked with the locale set to japanese...
Is there a way that I don't need to change my locale setting, when I want to use Illustrator CS6?
PS: I need the japanese locale to display japanese foldernames etc.

I downloaded the Adobe download Assistent with AI and I really thought I selected the english version. I then downloaded the AI, which somehow changed itself to the german version. Anyway the serial didn't work for the illustrator only, so I couldn't install it.
Maybe I'll reinstall the whole master collection, when I get my new SSD and Win8 in half a year or something.

Digital booklets showing up with wrong colors

Today, I decided to add to my library a digital booklet for an album that I had purchased a while ago off of another service. When I dragged it into iTunes, the colors were inverted within the view on iTunes. And I noticed that several other digital booklets that I've had for a while also had these colors inverted. You can see the affected booklets below (La Roux, The Fame, and Illuminations).
When I open up the PDFs, they are perfectly fine. But this view in iTunes (10.4.0, Windows Vista, 64 bit) is all messed up. Only one other "cover" was affected, but I had delted the album so it is no longer on my system. I've downloaded duplicate copies of the files and added them in, and the same color issue arises. What's wrong here?

Encore CS6 not possible to avoid transcoding

Why does encore CS6 transcode some H.264 streams and some not? They are different sequences exported from the same project with the same settings out of premiere CS6. The parameters of all streams equal the settings in encore. But for some it is not possible to change the setting in encore to not transcode.

Yes, I used H.264 Bluray 1440x1080 anamorph. I guess Encore ignored the anamorph flag for some files and transcoded them a second time to 1440x1080 - the result is a visible frame with a distorted 4:3 aspect ratio. I have found a resolution. I replaced the transcoded files in the encore transcode folder with copies of the original files and renamed them like the transcoded files: "original filename"_sessionFiles_Asf_session_1_video.m4v
Perhaps its possible to avoid transcoding by simply placing renamed copies (in that name system above) of the original files in the transcode folder. I will try it in the future.
