Encore CS6 is asking for a Serial Number when I have Creative Cloud

I have the same problem identified here:

I am running Windows 7 on a new Dell Vostro, have a subscription to Creative Cloud, have never installed a trial version of the software, and recently installed Premier Pro. The first time I try to run Encore, I get the two screens shown in that thread and repeated here:
"Adobe Encore CS6 cannot run in trial mode. Please relaunch the application and provide a valid serial number."
"Adobe Premier Pro. Provide a serial number."
I had previously got the problem identified here:

Following the recommendations fixed the problem, but still Encore has the same issue.
When I access this URL:
https://lm.licenses.adobe.com/
I get the message:
"Congratulations! You have successfully connected to Adobe License Management Server."
It appears this is a common problem, but there does not seem to be a common solution. For example, here:

I checked and have no "Hosts" file.
Further, here:

I have found that waiting or rebooting the PC does not fix the problem.
Lastly, I tried that proposed here:

And that did not work either.
Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro all work fine.
So, what is the solution?
Update, 2012-11-06. I spent 30 minutes on a chat session with Adobe support. The support person told me emphatically that Encore is not part of Creative Cloud and can be obtained only by buying Premiere Pro and not from the Creative Cloud subscription. To prove the point, the support person pointed me to this page:

Now on that page, Adobe has done something clever and stupid. If you view the page with XP (for example), it does not show Premier Pro because Premiere Pro works only on a 64 bit OS. If you view the same page under Windows 7 it does show Premiere Pro. I think it would be better if Adobe showed the application (possibly greyed out) with a note that it cannot be installed on the PC that is viewing the page. Well, I was having the chat on my laptop (running XP) and I guess the support person was also on XP so the case was proved!
But I sent him a link to this page:
http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/tools.html
However, the support person told me I needed to contact sales. I called them and asked the support guy to wait on the chat session until I had an answer. The lady in sales said that Encore is definitely included in Creative Cloud. But as I was about to relay that information to the support person, he ended the chat session!
The pleasant lady in sales said she would transfer me to phone technical support. I was on hold for 60 minutes and had to quit to go and do a task.
Perhaps this will be resolved and I shall update this thread ...

I got help with this problem.
You only need to sign out from the creative cloud. Go to preference, sign out. Open Premiere Pro CC, help sign out.
Then re-open premiere pro cc and sign back in, and you should now be able to open encore as well!
Worked for me!

    I have the same problem. We purchased creative cloud for teams on Friday. Now it is Monday. When I first started the apps I did not get any screen where it said that I was in trial mode. When I started the apps a second time the trial mode screen came up. I signed up but then it askes for a serial number. I already followed the steps from http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/trial--1-launch.html but I got stuck at step 4. I cannot click deactivate because it is in grey.
    I upgraded from CS4 Standard. I tried we deactivating those programs but that did not work either.
    The computer is Windows 7 Professional

    As you mentioned that you have Creative Cloud for Team Subscription, did you send an invitation to yourself from the Admin Console(Creative.adobe.com) and accepted the same. If yes then please try updating AAM from the below mentioned link and try launching the software again.

    Also please check for any entries in Host file in this location
    Run-drivers-etc-hosts. Please open hosts file using notepad and if you find any Adobe entries then run this Microsoft fix it to fix the issue.

    You have probably downloaded the standalone version and installed it. It will have to be removed,, and then you will be able to install from the CC application manager.

    Normally you will be asked to provide the new prdouct serial number first, then when a qualifying version is not found you elect to provide that information and then select the version and provide its serial number.  If this is not how things are flowing for you then you should contact Adobe support directly thru chat and get their help resolving it.

    If you upgraded on line your serial nr is in you account.
    But Encore does not come with a serial number, Premiere does.

    First off, my computer had to be wiped clean back in early January. All my programs was gone and that included my CS6 program. So I re-installed them. Then one day, I see this Adobe update and it had the Adobe Creative Cloud App. I think I did something stupid and I wanted to tryout not only the Lightroom version, but Photoshop CC as well. My CS6 already had a Photoshop on it. I thought it would be a separated (you know, a separated program on one side and the other one on one side) and not interfere with my CS6 program. Now it's asking for a serial number and whenever I input my serial number (oh by the way, I got CS6 through my school by online; so I got a non disc version) it saying my serial number experied. So here's my questions:
    1. If I remove the Adobe CC app off my computer, would the cc versions of my CS6 programs go away?
    2. How many time can you installed the non disc version of CS6?
    3. Cont. from the first question; If I re install CS6 and uninstalled the CC app would that help?
    I know I sound almost computer illiterate, but I need help with this issues. I am college student, and I can't afford one CS6 program, rather alone the whole CS6 and I really need that suite in order to complete my assignments while at home. What do I do?
