END of LIFT information

I was looking through OTN and METALINK and was unable to find the end-of-life timetable for Oracle Database 9iR2.
We are looking at upgrades to 10g, but the end-of-time timetable is an important factor that we need to take into account before deciding on a course of action.
I would very much appreciate if someone can point me in the direction of where Oracle's end-of-life timetable for 9iR2 database is located.

Back-end communication error for r/3 parameter search

Hello everyone,
Have been facing this problem for sometime now.When i was clicking on 'binoculars/search' find to check for account assignment on web gui,i was getting this error "display not possible...inconsistency in input help" error.
I did configuration setting in 'define back-end' system(defined the last column of rfc destination), and the error disappeared and is working fine in sandbox.
Now when i do the same in development system,'inconsistency' error no longer pops up but another one pops up saying "error while communicating with the back-end system..inform system admin."
Just to let you all know,i am able to create back-end documents...it is just when i am trying to use "binoculars/find" in account assignment...the 'backend communication error pops up.
I have tried everything possible..checked all attributes..everything is fine.
Can someone assist me?I must be missing something very simple...plz suggest.

Information abuse, security and fairness

I was wondering about security and possible abuse of information in connection with emailing followed or tracked forum content and private messaging.
It is easy to forget that all information here is public and privacy is a just a perception. Unlike a real person to person discussion, every information in the forum gets recorded. I therefore think it is unfair of Oracle to allow any forum member to easily automate the copying of forum content outside of OTN. No forum member and neither Oracle have any control about what people do with their emails, or where it might end up because information gets stolen, forwarded to another other site, or abused. At least Oracle should not make it as easy as allowing anyone to automate the copying process and redistribution of data. As a matter of fairness such copying of information should also not be immediately to allow forum members to make corrections.
Perhaps it would be in the best interest to generally disallow the option to email forum content in the user profile. Thanks!

Ah, recall what I said the other day... the features being enabled in the forum software may not necessarily be because of what oracle thinks people need on the public forums, but because of other areas of business where the same software is being used/integrated. In those cases, as I think Monique said, there have been use cases defined by the business that require such features.
And, it's not really about security. There's no security risk for Oracle emailing out details of conversations to members who have joined up and subscribed/tracked a thread on the public forums. Whether the person sees it through email or directly through the website is irrelevant... it's in the public domain. They're not seeing anything more than they can see publicly anyway.
You said "It is easy to forget that all information here is public and privacy is a just a perception"... but it's not easy to forget. When you joined the forums you knew what you could already see before joining and you know what you can see after joining... there's no difference except your own private details which are kept private... the public stuff is still public.
There's nothing to stop people from writing code that trawls the pages of the public site and copy information off them as soon as it's posted... which is just what all the search engines do; and nothing to stop people manually copying/pasting information. That's the poing of it being public. You can't expect Oracle to try and put measures in place to stop that, and why should they... that's the sort of thing that helps them get up the search engine rankings. Emailing out content to members is in no way more sinister or whatever, and certainly no less secure. What do you expect oracle to do? Lock the forums so it's only privately visible to signed up members? Stop people receiving emails about threads they're interested in, therefore missing out on active conversations because they don't find out it's been updated until a couple of days has passed. What you seem to be suggesting... "...generally disallow the option to email forum content in the user profile" is certainly not in Oracle's interest, and certainly not in the interest of the people who may want to use the email feature, who would miss out on updates.
Again, no offence intended, but it sounds like your idea of what a public forum should be and how it functions is drastically different from most forums on the internet.

Architecture: obtain information about the loading of my infocube ?

I want to make a Java application which loads information about my infocube like last successull loading, number error records for the last loading, the possibility to display these error records from the PSA ...
is it possible with WD ?
Any idea How retrieve these information from BI ?
I imagine an application which perform on PC Frond End users which informs the state of BI. And if there is a problem, i want to inform the cause by sending a text message from my PC to all PC Fond End users (where my java application is running).

OIA - end date for allowed certification exceptions

Reading the documentation , i throw that is possible assign an end date after an exception confirmation:
Exception Allowed - You temporarily certify access even though the access might not be valid. Selecting this option requires you to enter an end date and you are prompted to annotate this record with a comment. The system includes the end date and comment when it generates reports. The system does not revoke the access or send out notices regarding expired end dates.
this information in only "required" but not mandatory as i would, so is possible confirm the exception with a blank date,i need that "end date" is always populated before the exception saving.
is there one way to perform this implementation?

Oracle patchset 10.2.0.5 is in the tests phase by SAP.
It is expected to be released in the near future but the
exact date is diffcult to say.
But, as a rule, the database patches/releases are only supported when
documented in notes. For Oracle 10gR2, the note is 871735.

URL for WSDL only shows web service information page

Using tomcat6 and jwsdp 2.0.
After requesting the WSDL, I instead get the Web Service information page which shows this in a table form:
Web Services,
Port Name, Status, Information
etc.
Why doesn't it give me back the WSDL instead?

The information page must contain end point wise information displayed.
Each end point information contains web service address, WSDL address(you are looking for this I hope), Implementation class etc.
Also, try giving *?wsdl* parameter at the end of your web service address, it must lead you to the WSDL file of the web service.

Archives shows web page information

I am trying to hide my info and I have been able to hide the web address and rename it thru Godaddy.
The archives button and the search button shows my dot Mac info.
Is there a way of hiding the info from those two search buttons.
I have removed both buttons to avoid the issue for the Time being.
Any thoughts or web info site I can go to ??

Multiple Transactions and Information Display

I have been working on a transaction form that shows certain transactions for certain items. At most,250 different transactions will display all of which will vary in page size. I have successfully made the form display the page numbers properly, insert a blank page where needed ( end of an odd numbered page for duplex printing so the next transaction doesn't start on the end of the previous one ), and now am trying to display a barcode for our readers to be able to sort the transactions. My issue now is this. For the following example I will only use three transactions.
Transaction 1 is 6 pages of information
Transaction 2 is 5 pages of information
Transaction 3 is 4 pages of information
I can properly display Transaction 1 and 3 with the proper information that I need and the barcode works great. For Transaction 2, at the end of the information I have added a blank page, for duplex printing purposes as discussed above, making a grand total technically 6 pages. I have it properly display Page 1 of 5 because I don't want the user to be stuck wondering where a 6th page is ( the blank page ). But for the purpose of the barcode I need the barcode to reflect 6 pages because the reader needs to actually count it. When I print the barcode on the 6th page of Transaction 2, it says that it is 4 pages. This is because it is already reading the next transaction's information. HOWEVER, in my trials I accidently called the Barcode twice on the same page and when I did, one of the barcodes was correct and said 6 pages but one was wrong and said 4 pages ( the next transaction page count ). I have tried calling the barcode in many different locations all of which have given me the next transaction's page count ( 4 ). Is it possible to call the barcode twice and not display one of them? I am not thinking this will work because the barcode is the same subform just repeatedly used. If this will not work, what is another option? I'm sorry for the long post and I hope it was detailed enough to give the appropriate information.

SAP Moble Platform 3.0 with Agentry 7.0 application configuration

Hi,
we try to migrate from SMP 2.3 to SMP 3.0.
We installed the MobilePlatform3 as development server and the SDK 3.0 SP04 PL01.
After that we import the 2.3 project in the new eclips with the agentry editor plugin for 7.0.3. We checked if all transmit configurations are set to WebSockets over HTTPS as connect type.
After that we create a application for Agnetry Apps in the management cockpit and found the agentry.ini in this directory: "SMPHome Directory/\Server\configuration\com.sap.mobile.platform.server.agentry.application. We publish the agentry app to this agentry.ini and see the BACK END configuration in the management cockpit. As authentication we use "no authentication challenge".
Afte restart the SMP server we see in the logs no errors. In the agentry server log we see that the application was loaded. We test the agentry server in the browser with this adress https://{servername}:8081/{sub-url} prüfen and get the "I am here!" message
Now we try to connect from the ATE (version 7.0.3.605)(installed on the same server like the smp) to the agentry server with this adress:"{servername}:8081" and get this error:
Unexpected disconnection from server (11)
Connection failed
Ending transmission
if we try only the server without the port we get this message:
Requesting Public Key from Server
The printer queue is full.
Communications error (14)
Connection failed
Ending transmission
We check the smp3 server logs and the agentyr logs but nothing is in. We set the log level to debug but nothing.
We dont know where we could search for the error. What can we do or where is the error in our configuration.

Error in SAP installation in phase 19 of 34 - Import ABAP

Good day all, I'm facing problem when installing SAP ECC 6.0 EHP7 (IDES version). Its stucked in phase 19 of 34 Import ABAP.

I'm afraid you forget selecting the SSFS option during installation and it is the only connection method supported for kernel 7.40
It should be possible to fix this manually and perform all the step to connect using SSFS... but restarting your installation might be faster & easier.

As of SAP Kernel Release 7.40 (irrespective of the Oracle version), only the secure connection (secure connect) is supported via SSFS.
