When Microsoft says "END OF SUPPORT" that includes ALL system updating. It ends.

Hi
Anyone knows whether Windows 2008 R2 domain controllers with Windows 2003 forest functional level will still be Supported after Windows 2003 support ends in July 2015 ?
ThanksWhen Windows Server 2003 support ends, you should not have a Windows Server 2003 Domain Controller running if you would like to be supported by Microsoft. This means that there will be no reason to have a DFL or FFL that is lower than Windows Server 2008.
So, if you are keeping Windows Server 2003 FFL to keep DCs running Windows Server 2003 then this is not supported.

Are you shouting SOS? Support for Windows 2003 ends TOMORROW! Shortcuts to help
We've been talking about this day for a long time, and now the day is finally here. The July 14, 2015 deadline for the end of support forWindows Server 2003is tomorrow. You may be thinking it's too late to migrate, but it's not; this is a case that constitutes as "better late than never." So, if you're ready to take the plunge, you may be in need of some shortcuts, and here are a few: Measure Twice, Deploy Once - Take a solid inventory of which applications are running on each server. Most 2003 servers are not virtualized, thus many run a single application (email, CRM, finance) and are probably underutilized.Think Mobile - In our “there’s an app for that” business mentality, choosing a platform that simplifiesmobile integration—whether Web- or app-based—not only makes users happy, it also makes them more productive.Rent-a-Dev...
This topic first appeared in the Spiceworks CommunityJust having the same issue there, which is real not fun, I have not tried to contact them, but looking at your experience I am not sure if I should.
My key comes from the back of a laptop o so I guess that would be a W7
OEM, and that could explain why you can't download a ISO from their website, would that also your case ?
Also could it be because we are attempting to get the ISO after the product became EOL ?

After the recent update for ‘Adobe Reader 9.5.5’ the end of support for this version is June 23, 2013. This is installed on an edition of ‘Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2’. System type: 32-bit Operating System.
Thanks! Will automatic update select ‘Adobe Reader X’ after support ends for ‘Adobe Reader 9.5.5’ on June 23, 2013?

Windows Server 2008 End Of Support from Microsoft
Hi Team,
We are planning to user windows server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition for our application servers hosting. Before we install, would like to know when the support for 2008 ends from Microsoft
Please let me know your comments and also provide any reference links
Thanks//GopiHi,
Did you talked about Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 SP2?
Support ends 24 months after the next service pack releases or at the end of the product's support lifecycle, whichever comes first.
Accordig to the message above, mainstream support of Window 2008 R2 product family will be ended on 13/1/2015, and there is no new service pack released, then 2008 R2 SP1 support will also end on 13/1/2015 since when support for a product ends, support of
all the service packs for that product will also end.
Besides, you can also check the Service Pack Lifecycle Support Policy below:
http://support2.microsoft.com/lifecycle/default.aspx?LN=en-us&x=15&y=18

Adobe Flash Player Security Updates after Windows XP End of Support
Hi,
I have to check up for our customer, whether there will be any Security Updates for Adobe Flash Player on Windows XP after End of Support next year.
Haven't found any information on the web :-(
Thanks in advance,
NicolaiI don't know, and like you, haven't seen anything.
Here's what I do know.
Android dropped ALL support for Flash Playe June 2012 and Adobe continued to develop and release security updates for the older Android Flash Player versions up till September 10 of this year.
Support for Linux ended with version 11.2, but security fixes for Linux Flash Player are still being developed and released.
Given the still-widespread use of XP in schools and corporate environments, I'd have to say that support (at least security updates) will go on for a while after next June14 when Microsoft officially "sunsets" XP. How long that will be is not info I have. -

When I click on the - to minimize fire fox, it does not close the window but the firefox icon disappears from the task bar; it is still open but gone from the task bar, if I click on any other icon it opens a new Firefox window, I end up with several windows open but none on the task bar.Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Probably is the best way to go if end of support for ‘Adobe Reader 9.5.5’ is June 23, 2013. Does automatic update select the latest version of ‘Adobe Reader X’?

Are Crystal 9 and Crystal 10 supported with Windows 7?
I have Crystal 9 installed for Peoplesoft report development and Crystal 10 installed for Kronos report development. We are moving to Windows 7 and I am doing testing of all our applications and third party tools now. What I am finding is that both versions will install without error but I cannot connect the ODBC DataDirect drivers and no other drivers will work. So If I cannot connect to our Oracle database then I am wondering if these version are in fact supported on Windows 7? Can someone please respond/explain?
Hello,
Both versions of Crystal Reports are not supported on Windows 7. But I believe Peoplesoft have their own ODBC driver so you'll have to check with them if they support those versions. Our original DataDirect driver would not be supported on Windows 7.
And I don't believe the current 5.3 version are supported in CR 9 and 10.
PeopleSoft should be able to confirm if their OEM build of CR 9 and 10 are supported or even tested on that OS.
Should also mention only version is CR 2008 Service Pack 2, CR XI R2 SP6 is also but it's end of escalation life cycle now, meaning no more patches will be created.
Thank you
Don

ECC 6.0 and Sol Man 7.0 support on Windows Server 32 bit OS
Dear Experts,
I have read that SAP is moving towards 64 bit implementation.
I have to install ECC 6.0 and Solution Manager 7.0 on a Windows Server. We have yet to purchase the hardware and to decide the hardware config I need answers to the following.
Is ECC 6.0 and Solution Manager 7.0 supported on Windows 2003 server 32 bit OS?
Should I buy 64 bit hardware for both or should I go for 32 bit hardware?
Thanks and Regards,
Shailendra> No Need to buy 64bit hardware.
You're aware that successor releases are only available on 64bit? And also the fact, that certain functionality may not work in Solution Manager (e. g. activation of BI cubes etc.)? If he wants to go for EHP4 on ERP he needs to install EHP3 first and then EHP4 using SAINT - which needs a lot of downtime.
SAP recommends using only 64bit system and I can just HIGHLY support that:
Note 931024 - FAQ: 64-bit platforms for Windows
<...>
As of basis release 6.20 productive use of 32-bit platforms is not recommended.
<...>
and
Note 1280759 - SAP recommends only 64-Bit Windows for SAP Appl. Servers
<...>
Therefore, we recommend that you only use 64-bit for your SAP system. Use Windows 64-bit also on small test and demo systems to become familiar with it. Otherwise you will end up wasting a lot of time and money optimizing your ABAP or Java application servers to run on 32-bit.
<...>
Almost all servers produced in the last two years are 64bit capable - so I'd check if the server really doesn't support a 64bit OS.

End Of Life (EOL) and End Of Support (EOS)
hi!
i´m looking for End Of Life (EOL) and End Of Support (EOS), for the follow products and version:
- Creative Suite 3 to 6
- Acrobat Professional 8 until now
- Photoshop 6
thanks in advance!
best regards,hi steve! thanks a lot !
i've founded this one either... this kind of requirement is common in big companies. so, I was looking for something a bit more specific.
those are my findings:

https://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/eol/eol_matrix.html#86

I really want something like this:
Windows lifecycle fact sheet - Windows Help
but with Adobe Products.

Is there a group policy setting to suppress the end of support popups that reportedly will start beginning Mar 8th and every month after?
Hi,
You have 3 options to control the popup in a client/server environment
Option 1:
If using WSUS then remove the update KB2934207 from your XP Boxes, then ensure KB2934207 is excluded from any future updates between now and the end of support
Option 2:
Create a script to silent uninstall the update:
wusa /uninstall /kb:2934207 /quiet /norestart
Option 3:
Not an ideal option, but, assuming they are standard terminals (user independent) then create a new XP installation on a VM or physical machine, then install all updates except for KB2934207, sysprep the machine and use windows deployment services to capture
a new image and roll it out to your workstations.
If you find my information useful, please rate it. :-) -
Intel Chipset Support for Windows 7 fails to install
When I tried to manually install Intel Chipset Support for Windows 7, Vista and XP (oss907ww, Version: 9.1.1.1016, Release Date: 2009/10/02, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-73684) on my W700 with Windows 7 x64, I got the following error message:
"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software. Setup will now exit."
The newly released System Update 4.0 also fails to install this version of Intel Chipset Support. However, the previous version, Intel Chipset Support for Windows Vista, XP and 2000 (oss803ww, Version: 8.7.0.1007, Release Date: 2008/08/20, http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70315) installs and works fine on my current system. Has anyone else had this problem?Hi,
I have a problem installing the above mentioned chipset driver for win7. TVSU can't install it, and when I do it manually, it gives me a message saying (translated - original message was annoyingly in chinese) "This system does not meet the lowest requirements of the software. The installation will end now."
I tried downloading it from lenovo's website, but it didn't work either, giving me the same message. The version of this driver is 9.1.1.1016 (according to TVSU).
Anyone have any ideas on what on earth is wrong?
Thank you all!

Where is Support for Windows Update issues for Windows Server?
Where is Support for Windows Update Issues for Windows Server?
Windows Update keeps prompting to install an important update, KB2871690 and continually fails with error code 0x800f922
I ran all the fixes I can find, it still fails.
I also tried the manual install, fails.
Microsoft used to provide no charge support for Windows Update issues. They additionally offer online fixes for other versions of windows, but not server, and I can't find a forum.
I also cannot ignore the update, it continually prompts.
I ran the windowsupdate.diagcab and it continually states it fixes Windows Update error 0x80070057, by resetting windows update data store. It further states it fixes Problems installing recent updates.
But it doesn't. I've run it 50 times, and it says the same thing every time.
So there is no support for windows update, and no support for windowsupdate.diagcab.
What's the deal?I've done the SFC/ SCANNOW and DISM
here is the cbs.log
