End user personalization link is not working

Dear all
If i click on Personalization link for end user..its not working? nothing is displaying
Kindly suggest me what is the problem.
For my user who is having super admin role..it is working.

if i attach eu_role to the enduser...entire home tab is displaying..
Pl let me know how do i prevent this..
Do i need to modify the Home tab..i mean do i hide the home tab. b'z i dont want to give that all options ompany, work, teams and portal info...etc..

Personalize link does not work without proper authorization

Hello!
I have an issue in the CRM 7 web ui and the Personalize link in the header.
We have removed all "unecesary" authorizations and now the users can not get the personalize page. When they click the link they don't get any new page, they get the same page they had before clicking on the link.
We are also missing the Manage Reports menu entry for the user, the link is enabled in Nav bar profile and visable in SPRO.
If I give the user SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW, the link works........
The trace in ST01 doesn't provide any useful info....
All auth. objects are green and ok
There is nothing in the logs or any of the trace files.....
Has anyone encountered this before in CRM 7 or CRM 2007?

End-user license agreement is not working on mac

I recently updated the Adobe Reader (free version) on my mac, however when I try to open pdf files, it says that it can't be opened because I need to accept the End-user license agreement, but it does not open. i tried removing the Adobe Readerand re-install, yet I get the same results.

Does it say that you need to LAUNCH Adobe Reader to accept the license agreement.
Have you tried doing that?
Note that Launch does not mean install, or delete, or download, it means to run the app.

End User Personalization - Mandatory field does not make it mandatory

I am on GRC 5.3 SP8 and when I set "Company" as "Mandatory" under "End User Personalization", it does not put an "*" next to Company or force the user to fill in the Company field.
How can I make sure that the user enters "Company" when doing a "Create Request form"? I want to make sure a red "*" is next to the field so that they update it. Right now I have a default value in there but I want to make sure they think about what goes in this field.
When I create a custom field and use "end user personalization", the red "*" shows up and an error occurs if they don't fill in the field, but the predefined fields don't work the same way.

GRC Experts, please correct me if I'm wrong but from my understanding, the Request Screen in the MyWork tab is for Approvers/Admins/Security i.e. those with UME permissions of some kind. This is not the Request Screen for end users. We actually customize our UME roles to elimate the ability to use this Request Screen. We want all of our security requests to be done in the End User Request Screen.
Unlike the MyWork Request Screen, the End User Request Screen is customizable under configuration-->End User Personalization. As you've noticed, here you can customize what fields you see on the End User Request Screen, what fields are defaulted, etc. For example, for our company, we do not want end users picking and choosing roles. Our end users are not knowledgable on our roles so we save that step for a stage in which Security Admins choose roles for users based on what they asked for in the Request Reason.
Another advantage of using the End User Request Screen is that end users can create requests without having UME permissions; they need only to be authenticated against whatever system you have chosen to authenticate them against (for example, SAP) Configuration-->Authentication. As long as they exist in that system, they can create a request.
Every company is different. For us, we don't like that the MyWork Request Screen is not customizable and requires UME permissions to even access it. So we have essentially taken it away through security (based on the Security Guide provided by SAP).

Give it a couple of days - it looks like they just sent out the notification before the notice was published on the public page.
Once the ACS 5.4 EoS/EoL notice is published you should see it linked from this page.

Link is not working if Personalize Self-Service Defn set to No?

I add one link item on Customer page which is calling Product Summary page. It is working fine.
Issue - If Personalize Self-Service Defn property is YES then link is working, if NO then link is not working.
Note - I made one region for link and add it through personalization.

1)Check if this link is disabled in ur personilization.
2)Also run
exec jdr_utils.listCustomizations(' /oracle/apps/fnd/framework/toolbox/labsolutions/webui/HelloWorldPG');
to see that ur personilizations are there in DB.

After logging in to this group, the reply link does not work on either my ipad 2 running IOS 8.1.3 nor my iphone 4 running 7.1.2. Not helpful really. I have had to switch on my old laptop.Also I never know which group to post a new question in, The names like Snow Leopard dont really give me a clue, so if the key word does not find an existing topic, i just end up guessing.

A/R Invoice linked object not working all the time

I have a LinkedButton that is set to SAPbouiCOM.BoLinkedObject.lf_Invoice. When the selected A/R Invoice has a Document Type of Service the link works. When the selected A/R Invoice has a Document Type of Items the link does not work and I get the following error:
"No matching records found 'A/R Invoice' (ODBC -2028)"
I there another property that I should be setting? I could not find anything.

After updating to V 15.0 I have the issue that suddenly many but not all of the functions do not work anymore. Menues and download links do not work.

I have updated my firefox to version 15.0. After this I have the effect that at some unspecified time during use many of the functions stop working. Menu's do not open, download links do not work anymore and so on. Opening new tab's or windows still works. Links on pages partly work partly not. Copy and paste does not work anymore on webpages. It takes ending the firefox process and restarting to correct the issue until it happens again. I have those effects on totally different webpages. At this time it happens every time after I start Firefox but not right away. Firefox first works for some time and then it suddenly doesn't anymore without me having done anything special

To Reset Firefox do the following:

Link is not working for one role. how to check please guide.

I have a simple question but as don;t aware of some of the techincal area not able to understand where to check.
I have a link under document flow in offer( opportunity) where for one role sales support user the link is not happening. I have checked for other role its working fine.I understand that for this role the link will not work as per the role maintianed.
But where this link got maintained and how i will be able to check which link is tagged to which profile.
rolewise mappeing with link.
Please guide.

Hello Prem,
Please check the navigation bar profile from your business role.
Then go to the navigation bar profile settings, you can find the details settings there.
If it is a link under some work center, you need to start from the work center.
If it is a direct link, then start from the derect link group.

Slow-link detection not working.
In our branch office in Ethiopia we are experiencing some issues with the access to mappings. Our main office is located in the Netherlands. The Offices are connected with a VPN site2site solution.
We map a home folder to H:\ (which is working).
We map a Document share to L:\ (which is not working).
We map a Programs share to X:\ (which is not working).
All shares are DFS namespace.
We have set the according GPO which results in the following reg keys:

The detection says in the eventvwr (OfflineFiles) says:
Path \\ DOMAIN.XXX.NL \dfsdata\home1 transitioned to slow link with latency = 106 and bandwidth = 270472
So the Homedrive is working.
But when I try to access the DFS root I get:
Windows cannot access "\\DOMAIN.XXX.NL\dfsdata
You do not have permission to access....."
And yes, the user has permission.
So the L-drive and X-drive are not accessible.
How come?

Besides, instead of just focusing on slow link, this issue may be related to DFS namespace.

Make sure that you not run Firefox in permanent [[Private Browsing]] mode.
