Endless Installation Loop...

Hey,
So, I went and started up boot camp and installed Windows XP Pro (SP2), it said the installation was a success. However, when I restart my computer (without holding option), the screen goes black and boots into windows. Windows then says "PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ANY KEY TO CONTINUE". When I do, it starts up the install prompt and does the whole thing over again. I have tried numerous partition types (NTFS, FAT32, Leaving it intact, etc.) with no success. Also, when I try holding option, the system ignores me and does its endless installation loop again. I have to hold 3 keys (I forgot what they are, but that's not important) just to get it to boot back into OS X.
So, what do I have to do in order to run Windows Successfully? I have also tried many different install disks, still with no success.
Do you think upgrading my Boot Camp Assistant will help?

The only boot camp assistant version is 2.0 for mac. Boot camp only updates to 2.1 on the windows side. You can try redownloading bootcamp assitant for mac or reinstall mac os again maybe something is wrong?

  • Hp Photosmart C6180: endless installation loop

Hi, I've seen that many people had a similar problem but I don't have found any solution.
On a Windows XP32 desktop pc I had to reinstall a HP 6180 network printer.
The original software/driver CD enter in a endless loop; firstly ask to check internet for update, after a while reboot, and after reboot start again from the beginning asking to check for update, reboot ... and so on ...
I've tried to uninstall all software and reinstall but still the same.
I've tried to follow instruction to clean all drivers using "L...something.bat" and download full software/driver (more than 500mb) but result is still the same, endeless loop.
I've tried to add printer manually and select "driver disk" ... the printer now works, but it's impossible install the software and also the scanner device is missing.
Any suggestion about how to exit from this loop ?
    Thanks

  • IPAD 2 is wiped and in endless restore loop with 5.1

I downloaded and installed iOS5.1 about 7 hours ago after being prompted on both my iPad2 and iPhone4S via WIFI. No problem with the iPhone, works great. However, when the iPad rebooted it told me I needed to restore the device, which I attempted to do so over a dozen times on two differnet PC's (office and home) and each time I get an error "The iPad "iPad" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1)." I have checked many forunm and sites for help. I tried everything that Apple and other posts suggested but no luck at all in the endless restore loop.
I am really shocked that Apple would release this IOS 5.1 disaster out with any real help or guidance. The worse part is the erasure of all data on the device, including the device name. The ITunes window can't even identify the capacity or serial number. What a cluster.

In case anyone was wondering how this was resolved, I had to ring Apple Support. Secondly, this problem was compounded by the fact that I only backed up to the Cloud, not my PC. Stupidly, on my iPad after it lost all it's data, I clicked on 'sync to the Cloud', which overwrote my good backup.
I had to set my iPad in iTunes up as a new iPad, and move everything back over. From now on I am only going to sync to the PC.

    iCloud Problems
So you open Internet Accounts - and delete from internet accounts [email protected] (can’t logout)

So now back to System preferences and into the iCloud icon to set User [kaiserja] as default iCloud account and cure the ills of the world.
You go back to internet accounts and get —
Ahhhh grasshopper, we have endless do loop here.  Has wasted phenomenal amounts of time.  Fortunately, gmail works so I can send and get mail, as do my iPhone, iPad and Exchange accounts.  Think I’m going to need to switch personal mail to gmail after investing nearly 12 hours in attempting to set up an apple mail client in OSX Mavericks.
Is there a fix for this or is this just another open bug unresolved?

  • Flash Builder 4 endless compile loop?

Sometimes my Flex projects get stuck in an endless compile loop. What I mean is, they start building, go to a certain percentage and then restart at 0%. I have to cancel the build process and do a Project, Clean just to get the project built so I can debug.
Anyone else experiencing this? I'm unsure if this is related to having Aptana Studio 1.5.1 also installed on the same eclipse, but that's the only other major plugin I have installed.
    David

    Hi David,
yup, I know this error. I reproduced it several times.
If you use the automatic binding, by dragging and dropping an EntityService to a Datagrid, some code is added.
For example a definition for the callresponder, a call for this callresponder, a creationComplete for the DataGrid.
If you do this several times and then start you delete some parts of the generated code for bindinng, the described error happens quit quickly!
Then you do not(!) get a clear compile error, but it compiles for ever .
You can solve this in two ways.
Take this project out of your workspace ( you do not habe to delete it from disk).
Find the still existing code snip, that produces the error and delete it and use clean compile. To find the error is tricky!!!  because DataGrid3 belongs to Callresponder 2 and so on and you don not(!) get clear messages from the compiler.
I use the automatic code generation, but do not use the automatic binding. Then this kind of error does not happen any more!
    Hope this helps!
    Martin Zach
P.S: This has nothing to do with Aptana.

  • Flash export - endless reload loop in frameset

I'm exporting a SWF from Keynote and it plays nicely in a "regular" HTML page, but when it's placed in a frame I get an endless reload loop and nothing displays.
Someone far more technical than me has analysed the file and says it's been caused by the SWF using a "getURL".
I've worked round it by exporting as FLV, bringing that into Flash CS3 and exporting as SWF from there, but it's not the most elegant solution!
Does anyone know of a way round this?

Do you have the first slide set to play automatically? I am just trying out keynote myself for creating a swf of just a few images fading in and out etc. After I discovered that transitions between slides didn't work I added all the images to one slide and used builds to orchestrate them. I had a problem with the whole thing looping over and over because the first (and only) slide is set to play automatically. I have now added a blank slide to the end with no transition and that seems to stop it.
    Hope that helps.

  • Macbook pro endless startup loop

    This is weird.
My Mac book Pro will not startup but goes into an endless startup loop, shutting down and trying to start over and over.
I cannot archive and install from 10.5 disc.
But when I insert the 10.4 disc and restart twice my regular 10.5 comes up and acts ok.
    Anyone with a clue?

this is the kind of problem I've been having with a 4 day old MB 2.2, 13", 10.5.2. I really don't want to have to buy disk Warrior, though a great product and have several versions over the years (has saved my butt more then once). I am thinking the problem is somewhere between parental controls (which I have on since this is my daughters computer and is the startup account) and maybe spot light doing its initial indexing but never quit getting finished before computer is shut down.
I have reinstalled from disk that came with computer 10.5.1 and done all current updates to 10.5.2, 4 times now at a cost of about 4hrs per install. Can not install and archive, get an error message. Applecare could not help - tried resetting pram and tried reinstalling system. Can't boot into minimal system startup. Disk is o.k. per disk utility.
I've seen many posts regarding parental control problems and some regarding endless start up but not both together. Anyone have thoughts of other things to try? Anyone think the two might be related? Computer will be going back in next 24-48hrs if problem isn't resolved

  • Endless reboot loop iphone 4s

The story is, put them ios 6 .., test the week, then decided to 5.1.1 - put and here begins the endless reboot loop ...

You're not making much sense. If you installed the iOS 6 beta, you will hve to take your question to the discussion group provided for registered developers to discuss it.
Beta software can not be discussed in the public forums.
If you are not a registered developer, you are out of luck (not to mention, a thief).

  • Endless resetting loop

Dear Guys:  I found out that is impossible to correct an endless resetting loop  on a PALM TX device after one gets hit by it. Howerver, I have another dead battery Palm Tx that I could scavence for the specific affected misfiring card. Can any one take me thru steps to open the old TX, scanve the sick card and rep[lace it?! I dont want to send the Palm some where far.I live in Latin AM.  Do I need and electronics saavy guy to do that?
I appreciate your suggentions. I do miss the stuff I had in it.
Another question.........how can I thansfer all data (internal memory) of the malfunctioning PALM TX thru the Palm DeskTOP program to a PALM TUNGSTEN that I also have working? Each one is identified bu different names, so the info in one does not appear in the other. Is there a way to blend the info tho the replacing PALM Tungst.?? Hope is not 2 much 2 ask!! Oscaritos
    Post relates to: Palm TX

Have you tried a warm or hard reset? The hard reset erases all data on the device so if you have data you want to try and save, don't use the hard reset. Typically a looping reset can be caused by an incompatible app or corruption. Try the system or warm reset first to see if you can break out of the loop.
Click on the following link to the kb.hpwebos.com webpage for the article regarding resets.
    http://kb.hpwebos.com/wps/portal/kb2/common/article/887
Search the internet for 3rd party repair services for your TX. Some have take-apart directions. Check out directfix.com.
If the TX will not boot into a mode that allows you to hotsync, the data cannot be recovered.
If you have 2 TX HH and want to use the same username on both, it will sync the same info. to both devices. The issue of incompatibility of different models will not be a factor since they are both the same model. You will need to sync the first TX to Palm Desktop. Once the data is sync'ed from the first TX and in PD, change the condiuits to desktop overwrites handheld and sync the 2nd TX.
Once the data is in Palm desktop, you should export your data for backup purposes and disaster recovery.
The best way to preserve your data is to export the data in each category in Palm Desktop to a separate folder on your PC.
Create a new folder on your PC somewhere that is convenient. Name it something like Palm Desktop Data. Click on the link below and follow the instructions on that page for the export procedure.
    http://kb.hpwebos.com/wps/portal/kb2/common/article/28734_en.html
Make sure you select all for the range in the export window.
With the data saved in the folder you created, make a copy of that folder and save to a flash drive, cd-rw or external hard drive.
Anytime you make a change in Palm Desktop, export the data that was changed to that folder and save again to the external media.
With this process you can always import the data back into Palm Desktop anytime you have a problem with the data in Palm Desktop or if your computer/hard drive/device crashes.
For reference purposes, click on the following link for the support page for your device on the kb.hpwebos.com webpage.

  • Endless Boot loop on the new 2011 MacBook Air

Has anyone experienced the Endless Boot loop syndrome on the new 2011 MacBook Air?
Mine is the 13" 4/128 model.
Tried the SMC reset but to no avail!
Am I the first one on earth?
    Please help, Apple world!

It's not a hard core gaming rig, but it plays all the FPS games I like, quite well. It handles hi-def video, just fine. I use it for Photoshop, and it is quite fast. For web browsing, it has no equal. The 2010 maxed out 11" would do it all, except for some hi-def video (1080P), which it would stutter. But my new 2011 maxed 13", is perfect for video (1080P=no problem).
I really don't think a MBP will give you as much, on a daily basis. It (the MBP) has only a few advantages, and except for the built in optical drive (which you can still go external, if need be), none of the advantages you will miss even slightly.
I think the MBP would only serve me, if it spent most of the time deskbound, but I would still need an SSD. Once you have had an SSD, you can't go back. Then, you would have a really pricey MBP.

  • Stuck in an endless authorization loop...

Just downloaded DEATH RACE 2000 -- a personal favorite -- using iTunes 7. When I try to watch the movie, I get a gray screen and a dialog telling me that this computer is not authorized to play the M4V file... although this Mac IS authorized. OK, no big deal, I'll just play along... eventually, a dialog appears informing me that my Mac is now authorized. However, there's STILL no audio or video, although the progress bar is moving so the movie is supposedly playing.
Close iTunes, open it again, same story.  Even tried running it from the iTunes Movie folder, and the same error occurs.
Is anyone having this same problem with movie downloads?

I am having the same problem...Authorized music plays fine, but no purchased video will play, I go into the endless authorization loop that you speak of.
    Anyone have any ideas?

  • Stuck in an Endless Restart Loop

My Mac Pro 8-core running OS 10.5.4 is stuck in an endless restart loop. The problem started when I tried to allow read & write access on my Macintosh HD to another user. Even though I only applied the permission change to my internal hard drive, all my externals suddenly became locked and I could not access them. When going to set permissions on the externals, it was listed as "custom" and I could not alter them. I went to the terminal to try to allow access to the external drives, but the terminal failed to load. That's when I tried restarting my computer and it's now rebooting constantly without ever loading.
    What I've tried so far:
-I can't load the OSX install CD because the computer is unresponsive to the open tray command by holding down the mouse click.
-The computer is unresponsive when I try to start in safe mode.
-The computer is unresponsive when I hold down command option O F to force the tray open with firmware.
-I reset the PRAM by pressing command option P R, this is the only keyboard command that has worked so far, but still nothing.
-I unplugged the computer for 10 minutes and plugged it back in. Still nothing.
Any help on what to do next would be appreciated.

I'm having a similar problem.. my early 2008 3Ghz macro when cold starts up the fans rev up and click its off. this repeats for up to five minutes, then i get a chime and then it shuts off. this is repeated for a will as if it is warming up. after about ten minutes it gets as far as finishing booting up and still shuts off. only after about 15 minutes this operating system is stable and does not shut off.
when the computer is fully warmed up it shuts off and restarts fine..
it has recently had a new logic board. can it be the power supply..
please any one got any ideas???
