  • SAP Solution Manager Adapter for SAP Quality Center by HP (ST-QCA)

    Hello Folks,
I am configuring Solution Manager, and the current activity asks to download to add-ons that I can't find in the Marketplace - they are required to activate Solution Manager Enhancements:
SAP Solution Manager Adapter for SAP Quality Center by HP (software component: ST-QCA)
SAP Support Enablement package (software component: ST-SEP)
Does anyone know where to get those components?
    Thanks a lot,
    Marco

    Hi Ravindra babu/ Murali:
I have one very quick doubt and would be really glad if you can help clarify.
As per documentation from SAP and also IMG screens etc. it seems like 'a project' in SolMan will hand-shake with 'a project' in QC.
Can I therefore assume that if there is only one instance of SolMan (productive) and one QC server alone (again, productive), any number of trials I carry out between SolMan project and QC project will not spill over into other projects in these two systems and thus have no impact whatsoever at server level.
The reason for my asking this - in my project, Testing has started using QC in a standalone mode already. We have just one server. If I have to carry out any tests/ demo between SolMan and QC, it shouldn't impact other 'standalone' projects being done in QC.

Stack level 18 or 19 is the part of  EHP1 of Solution Manager version 7.01.
What is the process to upgrade the support pack to sp level 19? i have no exp to upgrade to EHP1 level..Any difference ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Amarjit,
Solution manager upgrade to EHP1 is same like other stack upgrade. You can do it using SAINT/JSPM. But only thing you need is good preparation.
    Check upgrade guide on http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager.
Also, check SAP  Note 1276895 - Add. info. about Upgrading to SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 and SAP Note 1169247 - Enhancements to Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 upgrade

  • How to include an enhancement package with upgrade without Solution Manager

    Hello,
I have been trying to do an upgrade from SAP R3 46C to ERP6 in my sandbox.  I want to include Enhancment package 3 with the upgrade.  I have tried using the Solution Manager to download the Enhancement package and it work fine except that it did not create the XML Stack configuration file that the upgrade is looking for.  Therefore I downloaded the DVD for Enhancement package 3 and included that in the mounted CDs in the PREPARE portion of the upgrade and it does not recognize it.
Now for my question, is there a way to include the Enhancement package with the upgrade without using Solution Manager? If so, could someone please let me know where to find the information or share the procedure with me?
    Thank you in advance,
    Ron

The EPs are just like support packages (optional); if the upgrade is not letting you put it during upgrade then just do it once the upgrade is completed.

  • Install Enhancement Packages 1 on SAP Solution Manager server

    Hi All
Anybody know if is it possible to install SAP Enhancement Package 1 on SAP Solution Manager 7.0?
There is a component named BBPCRM 500 SP12 stopped me to continue the installation via SAPEhpi.
    Thanks before.
    Best Regards,
    Halomoan

    Hi Halomoan,
BBPCRM 500 is part of Solution Manager 7.0 and 7.0+EHP1. But please check the update guide. It states that "SAP Solution Manager is updated to EHP 1 using transaction SAINT and Java Support Package Manager." So not via SAP Enhancement Package Installer as EHP for SAP Netweaver.
[SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0|http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01100035870000718044&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&]

  • Solution Manager Enhancement Package 1 issue with SAINT

    Short Text
Solution Manager Enhancement Package 1 issue with SAINT
    Long Text
    Hi,
We are trying to install the SAP Solution Manager Enhancement Package 1
using SAINT. We have encountered an issue while trying to use the Stack
    Configuration option withing SAINT.
Issue 1: A message appears saying OCS Package SAPK-701DHINSAPBASIS does
not match current software component vector" . Whats does that mean and
how do we resolve this issue?
Issue 2: Ignoring the above message and going forward, we see the
import condition page where it fails saying BBCPRM component must not
    be installed in this system
Please check the attahed screen shots for the current Software
    Component levels and the errors.
Please help to resolve the above issue and explain if we are missing
    anything here.
    Thanks,
    Nag Koppuravuri

    For the errors like ...
"OCS Package <Package Name> does not match current software component vector" will usually appears when the upgrade is not matching the "MINIMUM support package level"
Check note 1182336 - Though this note is not for the support package you are applying but the error points to same direction.
    To solve your problem...
Please check the "Update Guide SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP 1 " available on Market place.
Go to Service Market place -> Release & Upgrade Info -> Installation and Upgrade Guide
To your left dropdown SAP Components -> Solution Manager -> Release 7.0 EHP 1 and on the right panel check above document Section "Preparations"
If you satisfy those conditions I think you should be able to apply EHP1 smoothly.
    Lets us know if anything...
    Cheers!

  • XI 3.0 and BW 3.5 system type/logical component in Solution Manager

We are in the process of performing an upgrade for ERP 2004, XI 3.0 and BW 3.5. Initially this is being done in the sandpits. All systems are configured and connected our Solution Manager to download the packages.
We are unable to determine what type of system the XI 3.0 and BW 3.5 should be configured under. For example, previously we had an issue where ERP was configured as ECC 5.0 rather than ERP 2004. This was causing an issue in MOPZ where the upgrade option wasn't visible in a maintenance transaction. The same issue is now happening for XI and BW.
Please advise on the system type (logical component to use) for XI 3.0 and BW 3.5 in Solution Manager as SAP have made it very confusing. Currently both are under type Netweaver 04.
    Regards,
    -Rohan

    Hi
I believe that SAP hasn't upgrade option for BW 3.5, Check link:
    https://service.sap.com/solman-mopz
    Upgrade
a "straight" upgrade for SAP Business Suite (upgrade from SAP ERP 2004 to SAP ERP 6.0, for example) is not supported by Maintenance Optimizer
Upgrade with an Installation of an Enhancement Package is supported for SAP ERP, SAP SCM, SAP SRM and SAP CRM

  • How to revert a report run in Solution Manager?

    Hello All:
As per  Note 1119150 - Solution Manager: EHP 3 product data missing, I ran this report RS_SMSY_PPMS_XML_UP_DOWNLOAD,
My bad, this was for Solution Manager 4, I ran this in Solution Manager 7.
Product Version got changed once I ran this report.
Is there any way to revert the changes done by this report?
    Please let me know.
Thanks a lot for your time guys!!
    Cheers,
    -Sai

    Hello Sai,
SAP Solution Manager release 4.0 and release 7.0 are one in the same.
There is a note that will confirm this assertion.
1122966   Maintenance Optimizer: Notes for Enhancement Packages
Indeed it is referenced in the footer of SAP Note 1119150
Note 1122966 States: SAP Solution Manager 4.0 is officially renamed on May 1st, 2008 and
    becomes SAP Solution Manager 7.0.
Note 1119150 was released in 2007, so this was before the name change.
Since this note applies to the release and not to a a particular SP level, it is completely valid for Solution Manager 7.0 as 4.0/7.0 are interchangeble terms.
However the reason to run the report attached to the Note is because product version 'SAP ENH PACK 3 for SAP ERP 6.0' is missing. Is this what the product changed to, because if it did, then it is correct. What did the product version change to because you may find that you can now select the correct product, if it was missing before...which would be the only reason to have run the report.
If the product version was missing, its likely a matter of just going back in and changing the product to the newly downloaded one that was missing. If it wasn't missing, then the report should not have been run, as the reason for applying the note instructions did not apply, and you may need to involve SAP support to assist in a resolution.
My thoughts are since the note does apply to SAP Solution Manager 7.0, so does the attached report, and perhaps this has shuffled the product list, without moving the pointer correspondingly, so it is now pointing to the worng product. But I suspect now the correct product is in the drop down selection list.  This is just a thought as to why the product changed.
    Hope it helps to resolve.
    Regards,
    Paul

  • Error - Update Product Data in Solution Manager

    Hello,
We are currently downloading the Enhancement Package 4 in SOLMAN via Maintenance Optimizer, however, after choosing the Technical Usages in step 2.1, it shows an error in step 2.2 (Select OS/DB Dependent Files):
Error : Update Product Data in Solution Manager
Has anyone encountered the same problem? Would it be fine to continue on the next step after selecting the files which you need for your operating system-database combination.
Any information is highly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Jaypee,
Check guide How-To Install EHP4- A practical guide. Solution of this problem is documented there. you can download it from http://service.sap.com/erp-ehp
Extract from this guide for this problem:
Make sure that you update the product data in SAP Solution Manager. This is described in SAP Note 1277035 which is referenced from the collective SAP Note 1122966. If you do not update the product data, you might get an error message after the stack calculation. The message text explains the problem in more detail.
    Thanks

  • Support Packs in Solution manager

    Hi,
I have a query, when I am going to select patches through maintenance optimizer for solution manager I can see the source and target stack level at SMP and when I am putting the source stack(17) and the target stack as latest, solution manager 7.0 EHP 1-23 and going further for download it shows the support packs corresponding to release 701 but not to 700, as my current support pack level for solman is 16(release 700) and I can see there are support pack level up to 21 for release 700, I am confused why it is not taking account the remaining patches for 700 or can I switch directly to 701 and apply the support packs corresponding to release 701.
    Regards,
    Mridul

    Dear Mirdul,
Check SAP note 1169247. In which it is mentioned that:
    ABAP stack requirements
You can start the SAINT update from any Solution Manager 7.0 ABAP Stack.
    Java stack requirements
A direct JSPM update to Solution Manager 7.0 Java Stack 18 and higher is not possible from some of the Java stacks. Therefore, proceed as follows: First, use the JSPM update to update the Java stack only to Solution Manager 7.0 Java stack 17 and then update to the relevant Solution Manager 7.0 Enhancement Package 1 Java stack.
Take the numbering into account: Solution Manager 7.0 Java stack 17 contains NetWeaver 7.0 Java stack 16.
Also, check point number 5 in that.
I think now it will be clear.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • Solution Manager Enterprise Edition upgrade slow

    Hi
I am performing SOMAN 7.0 upgrade to Enterprise edition by upgrading kernel 701 and SP stack 18. I have already upgraded the kernel and java stack and now in the process of upgrading ABAP. I am expereincing really slow performance of this upgrade. I have checked tp and R3trans version which is uptodate as I updated kernel. I cant see any problem with CPU utilization as well swapping. I checked the SLOGs and there are no alerting errors. I see its moving and its very slow. I am just wondering if any of you guys experienced this - is this normal since this is a upgrade?

Thanks a lot, i realize the installation following the standard add-on installation procedure!

    Hi,
We are going to perform upgrade R/3 4.7*110 Non uniocde to ERP 6.0 EHP non unicode.
We used SAP EHP 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 and support packake for SAP EHP 1 for SAP Solution Manager 7.0 is 24.

As I said earlier, you need to register it as ERP 6.0 only to get Enhancement Package installation button. There is no other option for it. If you want to confirm then check How to install EHP4 guide on http://service.sap.com/erp-ehp.

  • Solution Manager "Solutions"

    Hello,
I need some general guidelines about setting up Solutions inside of Solution Manager. I have gone through and created logical components for just about everything that we have installed in our landscape. At present, I created 4 "solutions":
    1. Sandbox
    2. Development
    3. QA
    4. Prod
I then tried to assign the various logical components to 1 of my solutions, and I received the following error message:
"You cannot use system XYZ twice in solution Development"
You see, I have a logical component for SAP ECC SERVER and another one for SAP ERP ENHANCEMENT PACKAGE (plus several others). I have assigned the same system to each logical component because in my mind I would think that the system would show up once inside the Solution and then it would list all of the logical components assigned to that system, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
So, how do you setup your "solutions" inside of Solution Manager? Do I need to create a separate solution for each logical component? Ultimately, I want to use this information inside the maintenance optimizer to list any Support Packs / Stacks that may be missing for a particular component.
Any help / direction would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Jason

    Hey Michael,
You are correct. I have 4 ECC instances in my landscape. 1 for Sandbox, 1 for Dev, 1 for QA, and 1 for Prod. Each instance has ECC and the ERP Enh. Pack installed along with other components. So, I can't have a solution called Development with both the logical components ECC and ERP Enh. Pack in the same solution because each component points to the same server for Sandbox, Dev, QA, and Prod.
So I'm wondering, do I create a solution called Development - ECC and another solution called Development - ERP Enh. Pack and break out the logical components that way, or is there something else that I'm missing?
Eventually I want to have all of my logical components defined so that when I go into the Maintenance Optimizer for a solution, that Solution Manager will tell me which components for that solution I need to update to the latest Support Pack / Stack.
In my mind, it seems that I should have a single instance in a solution with all logical components installed in that instance available. Another words, it should look like:
    Solution = Development
    Instance = XYZ
Logical Components for Instance XYZ = ECC, ERP Enh. Pack, etc., etc.
    Jason
