" Enhancing the Quality of ABAP Development ", downloadable code examples?

Hello all,
I just finished reading this book. I would recommend it highly to experienced ABAP developers. My only complaint is that the book did not give a link to the source code examples used in the book.
Is anyone aware of any location where the source code examples in this book are stored? I have checked both SAP Press and Galileo Press's web sites.

Thanks for the response.
I'm actually looking for advance ABAP book that not only contains how to create ABAP program but how to create ABAP program.
From the table of content, it seems like the "Enhancing the quality of ABAP development" is clearly describe how to write good ABAP program and still balance in term of giving suggestion for ABAP as procedural language and ABAP Object. The thing is, I don't know whether there is some content in the book that already obsolete. For instance, is there any statement in that book that recommended but now already not recommended anymore? If all the statement is still valid as of now, I think this book is still good to read.
I do already have ABAP objects book from Horst Keller, but I will not enforce ABAP developers in my current organization to be written in full OOP. At least not in 1-2 years. If the procedural ABAP still working properly and high performing, I don't see any reason why I should force my team to switch totally to pure ABAP object that definitely will take more time to learn and develop, but anyway, that's different subject from this thread.

Currently, ABAP Developer Edition can be installed on Windows XP Mode for Windows 7 (Pro,Business,Ultimate).

I think having a pre-packaged VMWare machine running on Windows or Linux would be great as it would help a lot of the non-Basis consultants get a system up and running. Perhaps even offer it as an AMI package on AWS so that hardware is not an issue.
I'd also like to see the traditional installation packages offered as many technical consultants use the build as a process to look at installation issue and post installation configuration.
I think both the pre-built and build it from scratch approaches have an audience here on SDN and I'd like to see both being offered.
In fact I'm just looking at the new license options one of which come with the DVD's which is ideal but at a price!

The Quality of Oracle Developer

The following is the body of an email I sent into Oracle Technet.
Does anyone else agree?
I would like to take this time to talk about
Oracle Developer. I am using version 6 (with patches) and I
unfortunately have nothing but bad things to say about this
product.
I have used other development tools, and I have never seen so
many unexceptable bugs and features (that exist from poor design)
like I have seen while using this product. Reports that print
with undesired and sporadic results. Built-Ins that do not work
as intended. Deployment that is unreliable. GUI design that is
poor and non-standard (using the Microsoft Window standards --
which are industry-acceptable standards). Form and canvas
navigation that is unreliable.
Most software vendors would not let a product of this quality out
of the alpha stage, and what is truly disappointing is that
Oracle, who is the developer of a fabulous database, would risk
tarnishing their image by releasing what my colleagues and I
refer to as "crap". What makes this product even more of a
tragedy is the fact that is probably the most expensive
development product on the market today.
Being an Information Technology professional, many companies
value my opinions and toolset recommendations. Oracle Developer
would be on the top of my "DON'T BUY" list. For the company's
sake, I truly hope that this e-mail does NOT merely end up in the
area that many individuals refer to as the "circular file".

I was starting to think it's just me. With ORACLE being "the"
database for years now, I figured their development tools would
have a little more to offer.
I maintain a contractor-developed web app developed exclusively
with Oracle products - Developer, Web Server, Database, etc. I
find the user interfaces of these products horrible, and their
functionality even worse. Very buggy and unpredictable. Oracle
doesn't seem to realize that MS Windows/NT is the platform they
should concentrate on - maybe send their developers to some MS
schooling to learn proper windows programming techniqes and
standards. Who really cares anymore that their products can be
used across many different platforms? I especially hate the
events used in developing forms. Very hard to understand
exactly what they do or when they're fired.
The reason why I'm on this site today is that I destroyed my
8.0.3 database by putting Developer 6.0 on it! Now tech-support
(which we prabably paid thousands for) Oracle tells me that the
two can't co-exist on the same machine.
I'm with you - I'd steer any developer away from any Oracle
product in a heartbeat, except maybe for their core database.

How do I enhance the quality of a reduced jpeg (pixels are showing)?

I have a logo jpeg I need to reduce to a size that displays properly on a business card, letterhead, etc. I think I did this with another one of my Companies 4 or 5 years ago, but have not used Photoshop CS2 since and cannot seem to find guidance in the Help.
The original jpeg is 1.764" x 4.403" (127 pixels x 317 pixels), 72 ppi. I need the size to be 0.300" x 0.750". The logo clearly shows pixels when I resize. I've tried increasing resolution as well as other atttributes.
What am I missing? What should/can I do?

You can uncheck the Resample box and then change the size print size to the smaller value. This will proportionally increase the PPI, but does not change the image because the pixel dimensons are the same as before. It still won't be great, but will be far better than leaving rthe PPI value at 72 while reducing the image pixel dimensions. Keep in mind that for printing (which is the only place where PPI really matters), the pixels per inch density should ideally be 300 or greater. If using a print service, ask them what PPI printer resolution works best. The printer's RIP (raster image processor) has to convert the RGB pixel data to CMYK separations at its native density. If the image that you are working with is a photo, the final output sharpening should be done in Photoshop after setting the print size. This is not applicable to scalable vector graphics.

Kindly let me know the best practice for enhancing the Standard WD ABAP from the below 1 or 2.
1) To copy & create a "Z" of the component & make changes in that (or)
2) to enhance directly on the same standard component without making "Z".

If it is a standard component its better we go for enhancing the component rather than copying it into Z component.
If there is any issue with in the standard component , SAP supports it through notes and OSS messages. If it is a Z component, SAP doesn't support it.
If there is any up gradation of business packages, changes will be done to standard , but not the Z components, wherein we could miss it.
Further, since it is a standard component it might have been used at many places, changes that has to done to reflect all changes might be difficult in this case if it is a z component.

Is possible to enhance the resolution of a FLV

I have downloaded some FLV videos from many sources like Youtube, Vimeo and Daily Motion.
Is it possible to enhance the resolution of this videos to be watched in a HD television?
I have tried the video conversion using flv converter to pass from flv to formats like avi, but the quality is not good.
I think that maybe if i mantain the video fromat is it possible to enhance the resolution and get a better image.
Is there a tool or a flash player that can enhance the resolution of a video downloaded from the web?

Without the original FLA file or video (AVI, WMV etc.) it was created from the answer is... to put it bluntly... no.
One drawback of YouTube downloaders is they are WYSIWYG. They download videos in a FLV format with whatever resolution they are on the site, which is, to keep from taxing bandwidth, low res, and small size. 460 x 320 usually at the most.
Blowing those up to the size of a TV screen blurs them terribly.
By example:
A standard def DVD is 4.3 gigs
An HD DVD is around 7.6 gigs
A "ripped" DVD (AVI) as anywhere from 700Mb to over a gig and a quarter.
A high quality MPEG is about 100MB per minute.
The average FLV downloaded through a YouTube downloader is about 4Mb.
1 Mb per minute vs 100.
The compression that goes into making a video suitable for a site that has billions of views of millions of videos hourly, degrades the qualtiy tremendously to accomodate streaming bandwidth. They have to be made for a 5 inch by 3 inch viewer.

HT1539 I'm unable to redeem a movie download code.

    I want to enhance the extract structure to get KBETR & KBRUE fields of KONP table since it didnt allow me to add those fields while creating the generic extractor because of currency key problems. I want to read all KONP records into internal table with KNUMH (Key). Next, I want to fill them into ZZKBETR & ZZKBRUE of Extract Structure ZOXUR40065 in loop.
DATA:
i_t_zrebate like ZOXUR40065 occurs 0 with header line,
reb_tabix like sy-tabix.
TABLES: KONP.

When I tried to Activate this ZXRSAF01 include, it fails with 'The FORM "ZREBATE_EXIT" does not exist'.
Should it be FP_C_T or P_C_T? I found P_C_T in ZXRSAF01 include.
What is wrong with it, please ?

The Extractor ZREBATE is based on KONA, KONH & KONP tables. This Extractor and KONA table have the same 4000 records and KONP has 13000 records. I want to extract KBERT & KBRUE from KONP.

You need to change the table, structure and field names
Below code you have to write in tocde CMOD if you are enhancing the master data. It applies for any master data, although, I have taken 0VENDOR_ATTR as the example. I assume that You have already added/appended the fields in the extract structure of 0VENDOR_ATTR i.e. to the structure BIW_LFA1_S. We have enhanced the datasorce for the following two fields from table LFA1:
