Enquiry tracking of customer

My client wants to keep track on all enquiries he has made for a customer wise.Which will include follow up, no of enquiries converted to business, failed attempts and its reasons like price,quality, behaviour of sales employee etc.
So that in next enquiry all this could be avoided.Is there any provision in SAP B1?

have you tried using 'Sales Oportunity' you can define stage as enquiry,you can define employee,activity for the enquiry and also there are more filter options available in reports

    Hi,
    I own a t-shirt screen printing business and am looking for a solution to help me track sales, categorize customer information and manage inventory. I'm still relatively new to numbers 09 so I'm trying to determine if this program can help me achieve my desired end result.
    I conduct two different types of business; wholesale printing and online sales.
    I offer wholesale printing for local companies such as pizza shops, churches, family events etc. They typically have a design prepared and order 50+ t-shirts at a wholesale price. Pricing is determined by a lot of different factors such as; amount of t-shirts ordered, number of colors in print, number of print locations.
    Online sales, refers to a line of t-shirts I created myself and sell directly to customers. I sell through multiple online mediums such as; etsy, ebay and my dot.com. Each of the sites I sell through has a different set of fees associated with the transaction. For example, when selling through etsy; for each transaction etsy takes a % of the sale, plus a predefined insertion fee for posting the listing. When a customer is making a purchase through etsy they have two payment options; etsy's direct check out, or to pay with paypal. When the customer opts to pay through etsy's direct check out; there is a % fee etsy charges, as well as a predefined processing fee (in addition to the original % fee and insertion fee I mentioned above). If a customer through etsy opts to pay with paypal while checking out, then there is a different % fee as well as processing fee that paypal will charge. Also, both etsy's and paypals checkout methods charge a different % fee and processing fee if the package is being shipped to an international destination. Ebay's fee structure is similar to etsy ie; a % fee and insertion fee, as well as a seperate % fee and processing fee that paypal charges.
    Wholesale printing only makes up about 10% of my business so I can pretty easily track those sales as is. Retail sales makes up the other 90% of my business and has become difficult to manage.
    Etsy, ebay and paypal all keep transaction details that can be downloaded in csv files. In the past I have found it difficult to organize all that information and make sense out of it because its coming from multiple sources. I'd like to have one program to track all my online sales and customer information and present in in a nice neat fashion.
    That's where a program like numbers 09 comes into play, hopefully. To keep track of blank inventory I would like to organize and keep track of all the different blanks shirts i have in stock. Say for example I print on a blank gildan brand shirt that is called GL2000, I would like to have a category for the GL2000 as well as a sub category for the different colors of that shirt I have (blue, black, brown, green etc.), as well as another sub category for the different sizes (small-5xl) available in each of the different colors. I would like to have a separate spreadsheet listing all the finished goods (printed shirts), along with the sizes available for that design on hand. Then, when I print new shirts and enter them into the finished goods spreadsheet, I would like it to subtract that amount from the corresponding blank shirt spreadsheet. For example; I have some designs I print on brown shirts and I would need to create a formula that knows that that particular design is on a brown shirt and not green or some other color. That way as I print more shirts I will have a running inventory of both finished goods as well as what I still have left in stock as blank shirts.
    Then I'd like a spreadsheet for me to enter in all the relevant sales data as it comes in. I was envisioning entering the data into that spreadsheed right as I'm shipping out the order. It makes perfect sense because all the information I'd like to track and organize is readily available on the screen when I am creating the shipping label. I would like the spreadsheet to keep track of; Sale date, ship date, item sold, item size, buyer id, transaction id, first name, last name, address, city, state, zip, country, price, coupon (if used), shipping, total (price + shipping), how much the shipping label cost, site item was sold on (ebay or etsy), etsy fee if sold on etsy (% of price + predefined insertion fee), ebay fee if sold on ebay (% of price + predefined insertion fee), refund (if applicable... also if a refund is issued, it would have to automatically adjust the total as well as fee, after entered), sales tax (would only apply if they entered the sate I do business out of in the state column), ebay processing fee, (for etsy transactions) a checkbox to inform the spreadsheet if the etsy transaction was paid through paypal or direct etsy check out (because of the different fees associated with each.) then a corresponding cell with the correct processing fee, it would also have to take into account which country the item was being shipped to and apply the correct fee associated with that country for either of the check out methods; etsy or paypal, then a total after all fees, then possibly a total of all fees paid.
    Like I mentioned before, I'm relatively new to numbers 09. I have made some progress in creating the spreadsheets but feel there is a steep learning curve when defining some of the formulas and functions of the program. I'm still not sure if numbers 09 will be able to do all that I need it to do in the end, so I wanted to ask if it is possible before I continue working on it.
    Any help would be appreciated. Are there any books I could study to learn the program better? I just picked the apple pro training series for iwork 09 but found the numbers section was mainly for beginners and didn't go over some of the more complex functions I'd like to learn about. I searched for other training material but couldn't find any.
    If numbers 09 isn't a suitable program for what I'm trying to accomplish, any suggestions on what program to use? I've looked in to quick books but wasn't sure If I could do something similar with numbers. Thanks for taking the time to read.

    Thanks a lot Mahesh for your reply. I just tried your answer: I've assigned the CRM Service User license to the user, on top of the CRM Sales user license. But still same problem.
    Can you let me know where you can view the exact license chart? The link I have posted above seems a bit outdated as it does not reflect the actual license limitations.

  • How to track the customer accruals, if the ar is on cash basis?

    my clients wants his AR books to be maintained on cash basis, because of his business complusions. but at the same time , he wants to track the outstandings against his cutomers. he is also not ready to setup two SOB(one on cash basis and another on accrual basis), as he does not want to do the entry twice.
    if sombody has faced a similiar problem/ have an idea how to go about it. please enlighten.

    Let us first analyse the problem. The question has two parts. One is related to the business process and second one is related accounting.
    Oracle Apps has two steps here:
    1) Creation of invoice to recognize the sale
    2) Receipt of cash against receivable
    Client will follow both the steps, but he would like to pass only one accounting entry instead of two. The default accounts need to be defined appropriately and receivable account is not required in this case.
    Aging analysis is done only for receivables and this is based on the accounting entry created at the time of invoicing. In our case we are not going to create invoice unless we receive cash against the sale.
    But we can still monitor our customer dues based on the customer orders, which are shipped to the customer. We may need to create a separate report for this purpose and register this report in OA.

    is there a way of triggering a pageview by using custom links e.g. by using the "record" function? Concrete example would be a CQ tab component which changes large amounts of contents on the page without reloading it and business wants to track these clicks explicitly as page views.
    I know that the "normal" approach would be using the library's s.t() function but I was wondering whether when there's a method for tracking custom link clicks there might be a similar way to increase the pageviews.

  • BPS Status & Tracking System customizing

    Hi X-perts.
    Using the STS tool, is it possible to make customizations that allow to switch the status of a user after the data approving of an other user, in an automated way?
    I mean, I've 2 user: user_A and user_B. If a generic process administrator pushes the button "approve" for user_A, is it possible ,only with this action, to "set for processing" user_B? In this way the approval of user_A datas determines the "set for processing" for user_B (without pushing the button "Set for processing" for user_B).
    I hope the problem is clear.

    in general the answer is no. The only way user_a can influence the status of user_b is to use the cascading status switch (if they are in the same hierarchy branch).

  • Secure Zone Customer Activity Tracking

    I'm new to Business Catalyst, so this may be obvious to some of you, but I have a question about tracking customer activity on my Business Catalyst site. I can track logins into Secure Zones, but only whether/not the customer has logged into the site.
    What I'd really like to do is track a customer's usage of the site - in other words, I'd like to see what a customer's activity looks like on the site. So if a customer goes from Home (secure zone login), to About, to whatever other page. I suppose how much time they spend is too granular, but if I could figure out how to track their site usage, it'd really help me with a client. The only way I can see how to do it on my own is to require users to log in to every single page, which compromises far too much usability.
    So, how about it? Is there anyone that can provide a suggestion, either using the BC interface, or using some other type of tracking mechanism?

    BC can't do that out of the box. You may want to use Google Analytics for that.

    I tried
    doing by creating a material type as customer material, where in
    Stock will be reflected but value will not be reflected, where exactly
    we
    can capture the excise details for this scenario.
    How
    to
    proceed further to complete his scenario.
    Consider this

    to be on high priority &  i/p will be of great help.

    From your comments what I understood is that for a particular FERT, you are procuring one component from the buyer, assembling it and invoicing to the same customer.
    If this is the scenario, I dont know how you can invoice without maintaining BOM for that.
    If the client don’t want to maintain BOM for the same, the only option is as follows to my knowledge.
    Whenever the client receives the component, take credit of the duty amount by updating <b>J1IH</b>. While doing PGI, since you have not maintained this component in BOM, stock will <i>ONLY</i> reduce for other components.  So no-where, your client can track the customer’s component.
    Parallelly, apart from selling price, to the extent of excise duty value, one more condition (say ABCD,  to be maintained.  So in your pricing procedure, the assessable value should be PR00 + ABCD for which, the excise duty should be captured so that the client can recover the duty amount from customer.
    Finally, for this practice, the client should maintain datas (how many procured and how many invoiced) manually to convince the government officials but then, I am not sure, how far this will be accepted by the officials.

  • Creating new track - software catalog new product not showing up - Help!!!

    Creating a new track for custom development.
    A new product has been added in the software catalog in SLD.
    SLD and NWDI (netweaver 04) are on the same system.
    The new product is not showing up when trying to select in the new track, Software Components for Development section. Why??
    Does the server need to be restarted after adding a new product? This is difficult for us as SLD has production systems tied to it!!!

  • Creating entries in customer/vendor balance without posting

    Hi,
    I like to know is there anyway to add customer/vendor balance without posting that impacting the book?
    Sample like interest calculation to be keep track into customer balance but there is no FI posting that impacting the book. When i displaying customer balance the interest is shown but there is no FI posting for it.

    Anyone have any comments or suggestion?

    Hi,
    You can receive Customer provided parts in your Shop Floor in MIGO. Here use movement type 501 and do Goods Receipt > Others.
    Also Create your customer materials as non valuated material, because these materials not effecting the our inventory. And also create a separate storage location (in OX)9) for the Customer and do GR in this location, this will give tracking of Customer's Stock.

  • Custom Measure - Unable to Submit Data Using Input Schedule

    We have an application that requires storage of data on a job-to-date basis.  To accommodate this, the application was changed to a YTD application and 3 custom measures were added:
    JTD (base data)
    YTD_JOBS (offsets current period against last month of prior period)
    PERIODIC_JOBS (offsets current period against prior period)
    Everything is working and the measures resolve to the correct values.  The system also completes logic (advanced and dimension) properly.  Data may also be submitted through an Import process. 
    However, we are unable to submit data using an input schedule.  We consistently get a "no data to refresh" error message.  When the same schedule is used in the older, periodic version of the application, the submission works as expected.
    I suspect the problem is the naming of the custom measures is the root cause.  I have been unable to find documentation (BPC 5.1M) related to custom measures for 5.1.  Any help resolving this issue and/or tracking down custom measures documentation for v5.1 is much appreciated.

    I believe what you are describing is the root of the issue.  The application is set to YTD as the data input type both in the web admin section and in the database table.  The problem is that JTD is the input member for this application -- we are loading job-to-date values instead of year-to-date.
    It seems that BPC does not understand JTD as a "base level" measure fort the input method.  I have not been able to find a table in the database that defines PERIODIC and YTD.  My hope was to add JTD to the settings. 
    Unless someone else has made something like this work, I suspect that I'll have to use YTD as the ID of the base member and restructure the custom measures.  We did not start this way since the user community thinks in terms of JTD data.

  • Purchasing for client's customer

    We have the following business scenario.
    Client (say company ABC) buying parts (raw matl/ bought/ Semifinished) to repair the customer (say CUST1) returned finished product on behalf of customer. These parts received by the client (ABC), whose book vales are kept as zero (no value). But these inventory of these parts (qty & value) are tracked by Customer-wise.
    How can we achieve this in SAP MM purchasing / Inventory management ?
    Can we raise POs on behalf of customers in SAP ?
    How can we maintain those parts inventories in customer account instead of client's books ?

  • Tracking of records selected by a user

    I have a requirement which actually needs to keep track of all the items selected by a customer (items displayed 50 per page). each item has check box and customer can check and uncheck. Once he done with selection he justs get the list of items downloaded.(max is 1000 items can be downloaded)
    My question is how can this be implemented
    1. we can put everything in a session, each item has id value of type int(so on a max 1000 * 4 or 2 bytes will be used by a customer)
    2. we can use database to keep track of customer id and item id selected in a table
    3. we can also use file system to create files to which he selected
    I cant use above three styles for various reasons. Can any one help me out to do it in a different way.

    What do you think of using some key value or document based databases( i know i said database is not an option) which are very fast compared to normal databases or in simple words use a database which doesnt deal with locking, etc etc stuff.
    Bottom line overused systems, and dont want db or sessions as it is a old clumsy app, thats the reason I posted on algorithmic section and may be thought some might come up with a unusual way of doing it, which might fit the bill.
    However, I know you are pretty professional by the number of posts you had, you should have stopped with a NO which I would have taken it quite nicely.

  • Seeking a way to export animation data as Mocha tracking data.

    Hello,
    I am using an online program for customized video which accepts MochaAE corner pin data to track the custom elements. The catch is that the source video is a motion graphic animation which I created in After Effects, so tracking elements that I've already animated seems both time-consuming and less accurate. Ideally, I'd like to export the animation or corner pin data for these animated image layers directly out of After Effects, rather than tracking them separately.
    Does anyone know if this is possible?

    You will have to ask the mocha people. I'm sure there is some documentation on the internal data format somewhere and based on that you may be able to find a way to convert your animation suitably.
