Enterprise Mgr works with one db but not the other

Hi
We have two Oracle 10g databases installed. Enterprise Manager works with the second, but not the first. I believe the problem started when we migrated the host server to another network domain. Everything else works fine, but I'm getting a page load failure when attempting to access enterprise mgr.
The second db was installed after the migration and EM works fine.
Can anyone tell me how to reconfigure this?

IPhone 5 wifi works in one room but not the other.

I have an iPhone 5 and the wifi is unreliable. It works in the room with the router but when I walk down the hall it doesn't work. I'm talking 20 feet away. So frustrating because the phone is almost worthless. Why would it connect but only in such close range? No other devices have this problem. Yes, I've turned the wifi on and off. Yes, I've restarted the router. Yes, I've checked the WEP. It just makes no sense that it would work in one room but not the next room. Help!

Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.

Ipod works on one computer but not the other?

Can someone please help me? My ipod works on my laptop but not the desktop. When I plug the Ipod into the desktop it sometimes shows up in Itunes but says it's corrupt. Which it obviously isn't because it works fine on it's own when not plugged into a computer and it works fine when I plug it into the laptop. Also when I looked in my computer the Ipod would show up as drive j and it would flash on and off. Well, I tried plugging the Ipod into a different port and that worked as far as drive j stopped flashing on and off. I tried changing the drive name and it wouldn't let me because it always went back to drive j even after I changed it to drive z. Itunes is playing music and is up to date. I have Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit. Please help.

Also you might try forcing the iPod into disk mode first, then connecting it to your computer and see if that makes it show up in iTunes...

Magic Mouse One-Finger Swipe Works for one user but not the other

For the main account on my iMac, I can use a single finger swipe to move back and forward within Chrome. However the second user (also an administrator) cannot use this setting and must instead use the two finger swipe in settings. Both settings are identical but the Chrome browser wont recognize the single finger swipe for the second user. The gesture works fine in Safari, but not Chrome. Any suggestions?

Font works in one Document but not the other

OK so we have been having trouble with this one font for a while now. For some strange reason it will download onto my bosses computer but it won't load onto mine. I have had some help to try to download it on my computer, which we thought was successful. We have one document that will open in InDesign correctly with out me needing to change the font so it will work. But I tried to create a new document with it today but it can't find it. I have tried to making paragraph styles for each one and then adding them to the library I use, but that did not work.
I am running a Mac with OS 10.8.3 and I am using CS6. Also this font file kept telling me there was serious problems with them when I try to install them into Font Book.

InDesign has a feature called Document Installed Fonts which allows a file to use fonts not installed on your system if they are contained in a folder named Document Fonts appearing in the same folder as the .indd file. That might explain why you can open an older file, but not use the font in a new file.
What is the name, and type, of the font?

Family share works on one phone but not the other

My husband and I used to share an Apple ID so we could get contacts and calendars on each others devices. Photo library/sharing, calendar among other iCloud and Family Share opportunities to keep things separate yet some together seemed more practical. We have two children coming to the age where we will be getting them phones, but now I question which is the best way to set this up. His phone kept the original Apple ID and I created one for my phone. My phone works wonderful with family share in regards to Find My Phone and calendar and sharing to his phone. However his phone seems to have combined his ID with mine so when I change the family share photo of him, it changes my photo to the same one as his. He can not see me on Find My Phone, but the calendar he can see just fine that I create on my phone and share. He can share his location with me via txt msg, but I can not share mine with him. My iPhone 5 and iPad 3 seem to be connected ok with the exception of photo library not shared across the two and the ability to answer a call through the iPad.
Any ideas about what I am missing?

I Have similar concerns: my wife and me with ios7 shared an Apple ID in order to manage an unique contact list. Also we shared with our son the same Apple ID to access the iTunes store. But all of us used our own Apple ID to configure mail, calendars, FaceTime, iMessage and Friends App. Now, after updating to iOS 8 seems that the family option could be very useful to make order in our devices: everyone could configure its own device with its own Apple id. But it seems that it is not possible to share the contact list between different apple IDs among the same family. In the other hand, the application Friends now is associated to the icloud id, so if we decided to continue sharing the same ID, becomes impossible for my wife and me to know the location of each other Using the Friends App.
So, it could be very useful if Apple decided to let the possibility to share the contact list among users of the same family.
IS there another way to bypass our problem?

Execute Task works in one area but not the other

I have two Execute SQL Tasks. Each executes the same stored procedure from the SQL Statement property with a different parameter and they insert into the same table. One is at the end of the package and only runs if a Rollback
is done and it works fine. The other runs when a script is performed and returns Failure. When I run the other package and the Script fails the Execute SQL Task gets a green check mark but the table is not updated.
I've messed with the properties and still no luck.
I can right-click on the SQL Task choose "Execute Task" and it works.
I've run out of ideas.

Keyboard works on one computer but not the other

I have an aluminum wireless keyboard that came with my Mac Pro (Early 2008). Some time ago, it just stopped working. I tested the bluetooth mouse and a few other bluetooth peripherals to check that it wasn't the Mac Pro's bluetooth that was malfunctioning. I was convinced that the keyboard was broken, and was about to take it to the Apple Store to get it fixed when I thought that maybe I should test the keyboard on another computer. When I did that, it worked perfectly, but it still does not work with my Mac Pro. I've tried changing the batteries and removing the pairing from my Mac Pro. When I try to re-pair it, the Mac Pro is unable to discover it. Thank you in advance for your help.

Nano works on one computer but not the other.

The thing is simple, and i can't fin an aswert to it..
I got 2 new computers. I used to work on computer nr1 and computer nr2. Now it only works on nr2. I got the latest updates and all. It still showes as an extern hard drive on computer nr1 but iTunes can not see it. Works perfect on with iTunes on computer nr2.
What am i doing wrong?

File sharing works with one xp machine, not the other

Hi folks, I just switched over to Mac! So far so good with my new macbook. I have two identical gateway xp machines. Strange thing is, the macbook connects perfectly to one of the gateways for file and print sharing, but cannot connect to the other. In finder the name of the computer appears under "shared", but when I click on it, after attempting to connect, it says "connection" failed. For the xp machine in question, I have run the home networking "wizard" and have used trouble shooter. The computer has a unique name on the network, and the directories have been set for sharing. I've tried removing the firewall--though the firewall is instructed to permit networking. So, what can I do? Thanks everybody.

On the troublesome XP box, set the permissions for your shares are set that "everyone" can read the share. (No need to give write access).
I am assuming that you are using XP Pro and staying away from "Simple File Sharing".

ICal Subscription Works On One Computer But Not The Other

I subscribed to a web based iCal subscription. The subscription refreshes on my Mac Mini but not on my desktop, which is connected to my iPhone. The iPhone therefore doesn't get the subscription contents either. I've tried deleting and resubscribing but nothing works.

Screen Sharing/File works on one computer but not the other???

Two computers, both running the exact same version of Snow Leopard.
One is a Unibody MacBook Pro 2.66, the other 27" iMac i7. The MacBook Pro can't connect to the iMac, but I can get the iMac to connect to the MacBook Pro to pull files and screen share (pull files from MacBook, while on iMac).
My settings seem to be exactly the same. I've gone over them again and again (in sharing) is there something I might be overlooking?
Is there a firewall that might be enabled on one? Something else?

The MacBook Pro can't connect to the iMac
Just checking... open System Preferences / Sharing. Make sure File Sharing and Screen Sharing are selected.
You may have to click the gold padlock icon bottom left corner of that pane to make changes. You will be prompted for your admin password.
Firewall on or off shouldn't make a difference.

I've trued to recreate (admittedly mostly by saving as....) the same functionality here :

They do work when fulled in correctly, but there's a glitch with the validation.
Basically when you fill in a form incorrectly, the page reloads, with the form's accordion closed. When you open it up, its showing the ugly looking error at the top of the form.
Any ideas what's causing it to act like this, as opposed to the way it works in the first link?

When looking at the source code I note that - unlike the first page - this one doesn´t contain any references to the ADDT form validation libraries ("../includes/tng/scripts/FormValidation.js" and "../includes/tng/scripts/FormValidation.js.php"), meaning that the validation can´t work.

DVD Compatible with one iMac, but not the other.

Hello, I have two iMacs in my house. Both running 10.5.8 OS. One is 2 GHz and one is 2.66 Ghz. The 2.66 is 24", while the 2 is 20".
I have some DVD media that works just dandy (that means "fine") on my 20" iMac, but it just ejects after a few seconds on my 24" iMac. Any ideas? I have tried restarting with a DVD in the 24, nothing. I am not sure what brand the DVD media is, all I know is that on the inside ring it says "IFPI BE22" - that's all I know about it.
To summarize, blank DVDs burn fine using iDVD and Finder on my 20" iMac, but my 24" won't even read them. Any ideas? Thank you!!

Get different higher quality media.
The best media is by Verbatim, Taiyo, or Ritek.
It also is stored in jewelcases, and not on spindles.
It also is burnt at less than its highest speed.
It also has no sticky label, and no ink based writing on the label, and you use the jewelcase inserts to determine what's on the disc.
Media of unknown source usually is not that high quality, and will have mixed results being read by different machines.

My home share is not working i have tried everything it works on one computer but not the other help!

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes i have tried messing with my avast and I cant get anything to work please help me! it works on another computer in the house but everytime i try to click on his library it says it loading his library and then stops and goes to my music. plz help!

When normally powering the phone, there would not be a loading bar, you would just see the Apple logo. You can try a reset of the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.
You can take the phone to Apple, by making an appointment at the Genius Bar to have the hardware checked. Apple handles warranty and post-warranty issues, not Verizon. Have Apple look at the hardware to see if there are any problems.
