Envelope icon

I have the envelope icon constantly flashing in the top right hand corner of my nokia 5800. There are no incoming messages - how do I and can I get rid of this??

I tested in my lab, I could see envelope Icon in the taskbar when the primary mailbox receive new message, but there isn't envelope Icon in the taskbar if the additional mailbox receive new mails. It seems that it is by design.

Envelope Icon on PDF Reader XI

Why has the envelope icon suddenly dissapeared from the PDF on Adober Reader XI ?

What is your operating system? What is your Reader XI version? Does it really just say "cannot print"?

Can't find email envelope icon

we have some users that currently still use Adobe Reader 8.1 but for some reason the email envelope icon has disappered. I've looked under all tools and it's not listed as an option. I've checked the online help but there is nothing listed for this version of any sort. I'm able to have this feature/option under 9.1 but would like to have the same feature for the other users running 8.1 as well.
Can this be a plug in that is missing or is this a feature that need to be turned on within the application?

Green Envelope Icon Problem

Hi,
I have a Palm Centro with Verizon. I do not have a data plan. I have picture and video text messages blocked because they charge me for internet data. When I send or receive a text message, I have a green envelope icon at top with a blinking yellow arrow that hangs my palm for up to 2 minutes.
Verizon cant reset the envelope, but said it might be because of a text message with an attached picture in cyberworld that cant get in. Another rep thought it might be trying to sync with an email address??? I have talked to 5+ reps with no solution yet.
Verizon keeps ragging on me to get a data plan. They say I am the only person in the world with a smart phone / PDA without a data plan. I have internet access 24/7 without my phone.
Any help, advise?

No, there's no way to make it the default. You can, however, get the miniplayer if you hold down the Option key and then click the green button.
BTW, questions about the Mac version of iTunes will usually get the quickest and most applicable responses if you ask in the iTunes for Mac forum rather than here in the iTunes for Windows forum.

Blue Envelope Icon (Top Right of Screen)

I've had this blue envelope icon on the top right of my screen with the red star in middle (indicating a new unread item). I have marked all my emails in the inbox as read and have (accidentally) deleted all my calendar items from both Outlook and on the Blackberry itself.
Does anyone know how to get rid of this icon?

Invoke Oracle Mail Component when the Envelope Icon is clicked in AS10g

I want to invoke OCS mail component when I click the envelope Icon in the Workspace(like in 9i).
My Email component is working fine but on clicking the envelope icon in 'Members' Section of workspace area, it invokes the default mail client installed on client PC.(outlokk, thunderbird etc).
Please help.

Email envelope/@ icon incorrectly displaying when ...

Using the nokia email app with IMAP (gmail). If I get new mail, I see on my main screen the subject and a 'closed envelope' in the middle of the screen, and in the upper right hand corner a tiny icon of an envelope with an @ symbol on it pops up.
If I then read my email somewhere else, like on the web, I would expect both icons on the phone to indicate that the mail has been read...but that's not what happens.
After reading mail, the subject with closed envelope changes to an 'open' envelope - perfect!
But, the envelope/@ icon in the upper right hand corner is still there. When you go into your mailbox, and exit again (don't need to open any mail), the icon disappears, realizing that there is no unread mail.
Is there a fix for this, or could Nokia please fix it?

This is known issue with Nokia Messaging that updates to Email done outside Mobile client dont get synced unless you sync manually. Same case with Notification icons.

Purple envelope icon when start up

I have a 2000 IMac. When I turn it on a little purple icon with a question mark and blinking (two faces symbol)appear inside the envelope. Nothing else happens. Is there anyway to fix the machine to get it to start up?

But it sounded like you lost some system files (for booting up).
Reinstall the system from CD, have your CD inserted or have it ready.
Restart your iMac while holding down C key.

Read message envelope icon

Hi,
I am using RoadSync on my e71. This works great. When I look into my inbox I see 2 different icons for read messages: one that is completely grey, and another one where the inside of the open envelope is coloured yellow. However, I can't figure out what's causing the difference.
Any suggestions?

You mentioned both emails and Facebook notifications.
I am aware of a current issue of not all Facebook notification the messages folder deleting correctly. That is a known issue.
But, do you also have normal emails that will NOT delete?

Envelope icon with "X" on text list

On my Droid X when I look at the list of text message conversations, one of my conversations has an icon with an envelope and a tiny red x on it. I can't figure out what that means. I have had several text conversations with that specific contact since that icon appeared. What does it mean and how do I get rid of it?

The icon is not appearing in the notification area at the top. It is appearing on the initial screen that displays when I check text messages. An image of that screen is at this link.
I click on the contact entry with the icon on it and I get a list of all the texts to/from that person. I searched back and found a specific message with that same icon on it at this link.
Then I click on that specific message and get the screen displayed at this link.
If I click the left button (options) nothing is displayed. I can't figure out how to delete the message with the icon on it. I can't even see how to resend it - although I don't really want to resend it now. I just want to delete it so that the icon will go away on the screen displayed at the first link above.

After syncing my phone my email shows differently...It showed all of my emails as unread. Now it shows how many emails I have withthe red oval beside the envelope icon rather than just the new ones. How do I get it to go back to only showing new emails?

After syncing my phone my emails all showed up as unread. Even after reading them again! I still get the # of total emails in the red oval beside the envelope app picture. It used to only show the number of NEW emails. How do I get it to go back to that?? HELP!

Is there a setting in about:config that controls the length of the alltabs list? I would look for such a thing, and change the setting if it is there. A setting of -1 should make it limitless.

Outlook 2010 not showing "you replied on" or reply envelope icon

This little issue is driving me nuts! Occasionally, and seemingly at random, when I reply to an e-mail in Outlook 2010 it will refuse to show the "you replied on" status and the icon in the list will not change from the regular one to the one with the little
purple arrow indicating I've replied. This is very frustrating as sometimes I can't remember if I've replied to an e-mail or not, and have to go hunt through my sent items to confirm if I did.
It seems to happen to about 20% of my e-mails and I have no idea why. Is this an Outlook bug?
We're running Exchange 2007 and a BES. I've read that this issue may have something to do with BlackBerry replication; but how do I fix this???

From your description, this problem might occur if you has a desktop alert for and opens the email with BES or .OST file corrupted.
The Item then gets modified by the BES server.
You type your email and click send.
The reply status does not change.

If you use a third-party program that may be causing this issue, let the third-part program retrieve the e-mail message before you open it. To do this,

I need to enable User Configuration - Adminstrative Templates - Microsoft Outlook 2010 - Outlook Options - Preferences - Email Options - Advanced Email Options - When New Items arrive
In group policy you can either allow all or disable all, how can I set it so that User can choose the way they want this option to be?

If you want to set a default of none of the options enabled, you can push out a logon script or configure it in the OCT so its set up when Outlook is first installed. You only need to set the value if the default is on.
