Environment settings

Hi,
it seem that when I open a specific project, the previous state is not saved. Not the tabs, bootmarks and other stuff is back as it was used for the first time. It only happens with one project, not the others.
Is there something wrong?
Thanks,
Rui

hi,
Its seems as if you are unable to Publish the project successfully please follow below guidelines to check state of your project:
1) Go to your project schedule, make a small modification to any task on schedule and 'Publish' the project.
2) While your project is being published and saved, open another window
Server Settings -> Manage Queue Jobs
3) Here you can view the progress of your current Project Publishing update, check if all goes smooth and your project is published successfully without indicating any errors :
( to view any error look at the
last column of table on Manage Queue Job page)
4) Also in your Project window see if the project is published and not saved as Draft.
Basically this will give you a fair idea of your project being published or not.

You can't enter sites in a list to make Firefox remember names and passwords for specific sites.
If the password manager is enabled (remember passwords is check-marked) then Firefox will ask via a pop-up from the key icon that appears on the location bar whether you want to remember that name and password and that name will then appear in the list in the password manager window.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/make-firefox-remember-usernames-and-passwords
Websites can use autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.<br />
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password in such a case.

  • Control assignments bypass environment settings?

I have UC33 which has 8 channels and I would like to control more tracks in Logic.
I've set up environment so that I can switch to control channels 1-8, 9-16, etc., and it works ok in environment midi monitors. But as I midi learn some fader in control assignments, it stops going through environment settings and ignores my setup. So anything moves in environment after midi learn.
Is it supposed to work like this or am I missing something?

I see what you need... Right now I'm away of Logic but will try to assist.
You need to duplicate the incoming midi path and use the IAC port to make the trick.
1.Create several "Faders" in Click & Ports using the "New" menu.
2.Cable the faders serially and patch the last one to a Standard Instrument object which port is set to IAC bus/port.
3.Cable the first "Virtual Environment Fader" from the bottom cable of say the "Input View" Monitor ( this way you will duplicate the midi path ).
4.Select each Virtual Fader and assign its "Out" definition ( in the Inspector ) to match your hardware controller CC# etc.
    5. Open the Controller Assignment dialog (CA) and learn any Logic parameter.
Note: During the "Learn" process you must use the Logic Environment Virtual Faders - i.e the CA will get the assignment from IAC port getting it is a hardware device !
After this procedure the trick must work... I.e your hardware CC# will not be eliminated from the "Physical Input" and they will go to the Sequencer using the top Monitor Cable, while the bottom monitor cable will carry the dummy copy using the IAC and will reach the CA.
You can delete the "Virtual Environment Faders" and cable the bottom "Input View" monitor cable directly to the IAC Instrument after the dummy learn processing.

  • Autoexec.bat, Environment settings and XP

I'm running XP Home, and sdk1.4.1_02. Initially I modified autoexec.bat to include SET PATH=C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\j2sdk1.4.1_02\bin, but to understand the symbol javac, I'd have to c:/autoexec.bat. I read a few ealier postings of people having the same problem, and went to the control panel -> system -> environmental settings and added new definitions for PATH, CLASSPATH, J2EE_HOME and JAVA_HOME, and still the only way I get javac to be recognized it to execute autoexec.bat each time from the DOS prompt. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

winxp ignores autoexec on bootup (if it exists) as it merely a legacy thing and is looked upon by the system as just another batch file... u need to put the paths for the java bin and j2ee bin directories (as you have in the autoexec inside the PATH variable in your environment variables dialog...

  • Netboot users can't save environment settings?

I'm setting up an Xserve and a group of iMac workstations, all running Snow Leopard. I was hoping I could use Netboot to allow any user to log into his/her account from any workstation and see his/her personalized user environment (desktop pattern, Dock items, etc.)
I set up one iMac with generic versions of all the user accounts, imaged its disk, converted that into a Netboot disk image, and configured Netboot to serve that image. Everything works fine in the sense that I can boot any workstation via Netboot, log into a user account, and get work done.
But if I do any customization (change my desktop, add an item to the Dock, save a document in my Documents folder, etc.) it only stays that way during my session. If I log out and then back in again (from the same or another workstation) my user environment has gone back to the generic version, and any documents I saved are gone.
Is there something I've got set incorrectly, or am I just misunderstanding the capabilities of Netboot? I had thought/hoped that individual user customization settings would get saved in the NetbootClients0 directory and then would be available whenever that user logged in, regardless of what workstation s/he was using... but that doesn't seem to be happening.

I don't want to get involved with mobile homes because of that formaldehyde problem that FEMA had with theirs
Seriously, I had thought that the shadow-file mechanism in Netboot should have let users customize their environments without having to modify the Netboot image itself, by storing the customization data in a writable directory. But no...?
Since posting my original question, I have gotten some improvement by unchecking the "Diskless" option in the Netboot settings pane. Now if I customize my user environment on one workstation, the customization stays in place when I log in again +on that specific workstation.+
But if I log in on another workstation, the customization settings are still at the defaults, or at whatever I set them to last time on that workstation. I'm still not able to log in on multiple workstations and see the same customized environment. The Windows PCs in our group are set up to work this way, and the users expect their Macs to operate the same way.
I'd be willing to do this via server-based home folders if someone would direct me to a clear explanation of how to set this up so it interacts with Netboot.

  • SSDT-BI: How to add and deploy environment settings

Currently I deploy my SSIS projects via the wizard to several sql servers, on which I have to add and configure individually the environment and map it to the project parameter.
Am I right in that it is not possible to manage the environment definitions within the SSIS project and to deploy them together with the project to a target server, specifying via a deployment profile/wizard which environments shall be deployed?
If yes -> I vote for adding this feature. It would help me to keep (source controlled) track of environment definitions for Test/Prod environments. Additionally, deployment to further server instances would be much smoother.
If no -> Please give me a hint how I can get to that point.
    Thanks a lot!

In SSIS 2012 if you use project deployment model you can do this programmatically.

  • Environment settings for a web-app in Application Server 6.0 SP3

    Hi all,
I'm trying to pass java specific environment variables to a servlet in

Is there a way to pass environment variables to servlet and acces them

  • Unable to Harvest with AIAHarvestor to PLWB with Environment Settings

    Hi,
Failure to Harvest to PLWB(Project Life Cycle Workbench) when using file query with replacement keys. Seems like AIAHarvestor Setting file always requires the absolute path for File query.
    <fileQuery>
    *<files>${aiainstance.aiaHome}/Services/DemoServices/SyncCustomerProvABCSImpl/composite.xml</files>*
    <fileQuery>
    Failed with error:
    *no protocol: ${aiainstance.aiaHome}/Services/DemoServices/SyncCustomerProvABCSImpl/composite.xml*+
If we provide the absolute path then this resolved the issue. Is this the expected behavior?
    <fileQuery>
    <files>/opt/aia/Services/DemoServices/SyncCustomerProvABCSImpl/composite.xml</files>
    <fileQuery>
NOTE: We set the AIA instance environment Prior to executing the Harvestor command.
    Release: AIA 11G R1 (11.1.1.2.0)

aiainstance.aiaHome is Defined in the AIAInstallProperties.xml. This property is not defined in the aiaenv.sh.
I have also tried $AIA_HOME as this is defined iin aiaenv.sh but still it didn't work.
Works only if I provide the absolute path of the files.
    Thanks!

  • Forms compilation environment settings

    Hi,
Is it possible to configure Forms Builder to use other settings (for example another NLS_LANG) that the registry one?
In my case, I have to use NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1 for the Forms generation using Designer.
But I want that in the Forms Builder, if I compile a module (ctrl + t), the builder uses another NLS_LANG setting so the .fmx is compiled with another NLS_SETTING that the one in the registry.

    IDS 10.1.2.2.0 on Win Xp

    Hi,
I have special characters (prompt, item label, ...) in the fmb. If the fmx is not created using UTF8 NLS settings, those characters are not well displayed.
I need the builder to compile using a different NLS than the registry one, if possible.
As explain below, I can always recompile my fmb using a script but I rather prefer to have the good NLS when the builder generates the fmx
    SET NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS=CHAR
    SET NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8
    FRMCMP module=test.fmb userid.....

  • Environment settings for telnet

    Hello,
I have installed Solaris 8 x86 on my "slave PC" and now I want to access it remotely from my "master PC". The networking runs well so far. Ping, telnet, and internet access are all possible.
I have installed the tightVNC 1.2.9 package on the Solaris 8 system.
When I start the vncserver from the Solaris 8 x86 on my "slave PC" directly, I can start the vncviewer from the Windows 2000 Professional on my "master PC" and get a proper KDE desktop in the vncviewer window. I have set some appropriate directory paths in the file /.profile for processing the command vncserver (I run my Solaris as root).
As I want to run the Solaris 8 x86 remotely under full control of my "master PC", I try to connect to the Solaris after boot completion via telnet. The telnet session with the user-id root is set up correctly. Now, if I want to send the command vncserver within the telnet session, the following error message appears: "vncserver: The USER environment variable is not set".
Obviously, the environment variables which are available through direct system access, are not available for the remote telnet access. What do I have to do for making the environment variables available for the remote telnet access?
    Thanks in advance for help!

  • JBuilder environements settings?

    Hello,
I created a jar file using JBuilder6. When I am closing JBuilder, opening the cmd on windows,
I can run the jar file on the machine I created the file but not on another one.
Does anyone now what should be done for this jar file to be really multiplatforms?
    Thanks

It doesn't even find the main class!
I think JBuilder is "taking advantage of the situation" and you need the entire set below
in order to make this run!!!
I might want to try the jar cvf command line but then their are no manifets file created even by default,
so then maybe you could help on this one? I don't know, what do you suggest?
    Thanks.
