EP5 SP4 Can't logon after install - won't accept admin/admin

Hi,
I've just installed EP5 SP4 and it won't accept the admin / admin login, just keeps asking for the password then says not authorized to view page. I've followed install guide to the letter, have tried re-setting the default config with PasswordRestore.exe but didn't help. There aren't any errors in the console logs but I don't know where else to look for errors?? Could this be an IIS problem?
Any help greatly appreciated & rewarded!

Try loging in as
Username: Administrator
Password: admin
and

tickets are isssued to the domain specified in the http request (i.e. the name specified in the Adress bar of the browser). If only an ip adress is specified, the cookie cannot be issued correctly. If only a server name is specified, the authentication cookie is issued to the
server, only. If the fqn is specified, the cookie is per default issued to the domain (i.e. domain.com if the portal resides in host.domain.com).

    I've decided that I'm going to develop my Rails applications in Linux and keep hitting a BRICK WALL every time I try to install NetBeans or Java. I download all of the packages and come to a text screen that says "Package Configuration" and then "Configuring sun-java5-bin" and then it asks you to read the agreement and there's an <Ok> at the bottom. I can't get through this and everytime it fails my 'package manager' goes bonkers and I have to reload the Ubuntu Gutys Gibbon operating system AGAIN!!!
    I push ENTER and type in "yes" and "Ok" and there is no response.
    I've loaded this operating system FIVE TIMES NOW and the bottleneck is very frustrating as I can't program in a graphics environment without Java.
    I joined this forum just to ask this question and would be grateful for a reply at [email protected]

  • Can't connect after install

    After installing from FTP, I rebooted and then I tried to get some packages with pacman, but it didn't work. I'd like to know why I could connect to download the base packages but can't do it now.
    I've checked almost all configuration files in /etc, I've modified some like hosts.allow and hosts.deny, with no results. Making a ping to my ethernet card shows that it works.
    Pacman -Syu returns this error:
    ftp.xxx.org temporarily unavailable
    connection failed
    ftp.other.org temporarily unavailable
    connection failed
    etc...
    Please, tell me what do I do now. And yes, I did rtfm.

    You should still find the solution so you don't require the use of the initrd. While there are cases where using this boot method are required or beneficial, it is generally best to configure the system so it isn't needed if possible. Besides the slightly faster (perhaps not noticable to some) boot time, it also ensure that the system is properly configured for both hardware and security issues.
    Of course there are those who think that if you are happy with things the way they are, don't mess with them. You probably won't learn much about AL this way though.

  • Can't AirPrint after installing new router

    After installing a new Virgin media router I can't print from my iPad or iPhone to my Airprint Epson printer. Works perfect from my Macbook pro on Lion. Worked fine before installing the new router on iPad and iPhone. Any ideas ?

    OK fixed it. Had to Manually set up the printer to link to the wifi again from the printer control pad and now I can see it on my iPad and iPhone again. Good days.

  • Why does my iMac shut down before it can boot up After installing 7.3 update on my iMac?

    After installing 7.3 last night, I hit restart and went to bed.  My intel iMac i7 3.4ghz was powered down this morning, and only after unplugging,waiting, rep plugging,
    It finally powered on, only to boot to the gray apple screen, go black and silent.  (this exact issue had me lugging it back to apple a month after purchase, today is 93 days)
    Recovery mode got me about one second further in bottling up before shutting off.
    I was forced to upgrade  from an unproblematic pc g5, after iCloud, so do not own snow leopard and was told I would never need a re install disc. 
    Has anyone having the powering off during boot after updating to 7.3?

    omg. I would copy and paste your original post to the iMac section. You're talking about a fine piece of equipment, the Intel iMac i7 3.4ghz , and you should not be having such problems. Maybe others in the iMac i7 community might also have some ideas.
    Re: the safe boot. That's good that it worked. This is fairly new and very, very helpful with a dead computer because at least you can get to Safari, get to the Internet and get ideas and seek help.
    But why did it shut off after a while? That's not right. No reason it should have done that.
    From something you said I would worry about your power supply problem or this PerIphrEa. I don't know what that is but Migration is built into Lion OS, no? Third party perificials (or apps) can certainly cause conflicts and not work as well as advertised.
    Also, seriously, I would get some tape, like duct tape, and tape up that loose power supply.
    Why do you need something extra for your migration? (Or is the reason your old PowerPC G5 needs to run Lion but it can't?).
    If that is the problem, here's an idea. Continue the canibalization of your PowerPC G5, take out it's hard drive(s). Buy an 'enclosure' to put the hard drive in and allow you to connect this hard drive to your new machine, the beautiful iMac i7, using the old hard drive as an external drive.

    Re:What is the proper amount of time the computer needs to be unplugged? This would worry me. I turn off my comuter NOT by unplugging it but by holding the power on button for about 3-4 seconds and then it turns off.
    I then wait 5 long seconds before pressing the power on button again to turn the computer back on.
    Having to plug in and unplug and plug in and having to wait ten minutes for it to work is not normal.
    Is there a power supply issue in your home, perhaps?
    Considering the value of this machine and the fact that it may still be under warrenty, I'd consider the  weeklong diagnostic. Would the machine have the same need to wait ten minutes to turn on at the Apple place?
    What if you plug it in at a friend's house, or an office or library? Would it still take ten minutes before you could turn the machine on?
    It might seem horrible to have to wait a week...or to do this again and again but I'd recommend taking full advantage of your warrenty, keep sticking this problem back to Apple and insist it gets made right. It will be worth it in the long run.

  • Windows 8.1 install won't accept OEM product key

    I downloaded the Windows 8.1 RTM ISO from TechNet today and wanted to test it on a Thinkpad W530 I have here that has a Windows 8 Pro OEM licence.
    When I mounted the ISO and ran the setup it's prompting for a product key. I'm confused because my understanding is the product key is stored in the UEFI bios and I was expecting the 8.1 setup to detect it. During the original Windows 8 installation it never
    prompted for the product key and activated without issue.
    I've checked my product keys on TechNet and I have 3 unclaimed keys for 8.1 that I assume would work but It'd be preferable for me to retain my OEM licence.
    I used Magic Jellybean to obtain the OEM key but the 8.1 setup won't accept it and returns "That key can't be used to activate this edition of Windows. Please try a different key." 
    Any ideas?

    OEM activation is performed by associating the operating system to the firmware of the computer. This process occurs before the computer is sent to the customer so that the software is already activated and no additional actions are required by the user.
    OEM activation remains valid as long as the customer uses the OEM-provided image on the computer.
    So, if you want to clean install Windows 8.1, you need to input the Windows 8.1 install key to accomplish the Windows installation, after that you can try to activate your system by network or Phone. Meanwhile, I want to know did you got any Windows 8.1
    product key when you download Windows 8.1 from TechNet? If so, you can try to use them when you install Windows 8.1.

  • Same pc, replacement motherboard installed, won't accept activation

    Hi all,
    I have adobe installed on my main desktop and a laptop. The desktop recently went for repair and came back with a replacement motherboard (exactly same make/model etc) but now adobe won't accept the activation. I had assumed that after roughly 2 weeks the 'old' activation would stop, like when a hard drive dies. This doesn't appear to be the case however. So I'm left with the same pc but Adobe thinking I have 3 different installations. What to do? Many thanks

    Activations cannot just "stop", because the server handling them doesn't know anything about your dead system. Call support by phone and they'll sort it out.

  • Can't login after installing Oracle 10g on XP Service Pack 1

    Hi, I am completely new to using oracle and cannot login after completing the install process. I followed the article:

    in order to install and unlock the relevant accounts (such as "SCOTT"). But I keep getting the following error message when attempting to login (at both the "http://myservername/em" and "http://myservername/isqlplus" urls):
    ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
    After a few of those errors I also get an understandable "account locked" error message.
    Can anyone suggest fields for "username", "password" and "contact identifier" that might enable me to login?! And why can't I use the "Global Database Name" and password that I supplied during the installation process?
    oh, and does it make a difference that I'm using "Parallels Desktop" to run windows from my mac?

    Open SQL*Plus ... all learning of Oracle should start at the SQL*Plus command line.
    Assuming you are logged in to the operating system as the same user that installed the Oracle software on SQL*Plus in the Start -> Programs menu.
    Under username type "/ as sysdba" without the double-quotes and leave the other two dialog box fields empty.
    Now enter:
    SQL> alter user scott account unlock identified by tiger;
    SQL conn scott/tigerIf this works you need to proceed by getting a beginning Oracle book. The one's offered by Oracle Press are among the best for your level or preferably find a class personal mentor in your area.

    But XP SP1? Why? SP2 is the minimum for a system with some level of security.
    In the future always post a complete version number (3 decimal places) as well as, as you did, complete error messages. That will help you get good answers.

  • Can't sync after installing vista

    My PC was recently crippled by some serious viruses and i was forced to completely reinstall windows. As i thought i was resigned to losing most of my saved items i decided that this was a good oppertunity to try out vista. However, later when i had installed Itunes and logged in with my account i reaslised that i could not sync my ipod touch with it, recieving the same message you recieve when you try to sync an ipod with another computer(it will wipe the ipod if you continue to sync). I was really hoping i would be able to sync so that i could put my music collection back onto my computer as well as my collection of applications which have cost me a considerable amount of money. I want to put them on my computer so that if anything happens to my ipod i wont lose my entire collection.
    I am very new to this whole thing so i am sorry if this question has already been answered or if i have posted it in the wrong place but any help would be much appreciated.

    Did you create or update your computer's backup for all important data on your computer's hard drive before reformatting your hard drive to install SL which should include your iTunes library?
    The sync process for iTunes content and for transferring photos from your computer is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone except for 3rd party apps or music/video purchased with your iPhone which is transferred to your iTunes library on your computer the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so.
    Assuming you didn't include your iTunes library with your computer's backup, iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store from an iPhone or iPod, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased/downloaded from the iTunes store only.
    First you need to re-authorize your Mac with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so. With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
    If all 3rd party apps do not transfer, you can re-download an app with iTunes on your computer and you won't be charged again for a purchased app as long as you use the same iTunes account to re-download the app that was used to purchase the app originally.
    If you use the Address Book and iCal and you didn't backup your Address Book contacts and iCal calendars/calendar events, before syncing contacts and calendar events with the AB and iCal, enter one unique contact in the AB and one unique calendar event in iCal. Make these up if needed, which can be deleted later. This will provide a merge prompt when syncing with the AB and iCal with the first sync, which you want to select.

  • Oracle XE - Just can't login after install

    On Lubuntu 10.10, I did:

    apt-get update ; apt-get install oracle-xe
    That brings me Oracle XE 10.2.0.1. And then:
    /etc/init.d/oracle-xe configure
    Everything looks ok, including the password prompt and so. After that, I go to http://127.0.0.1:port/apex, and when I try to login with the username "SYSTEM", and the password I just typed. I get a "Invalid Login Credentials" error.
    I also tried:
    sqlplus /nolog
    CONNECT
    [ .. login and password .. ]
    ERROR:
    ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
    Setting the environment variables also don't help.
    sh oracle_env.sh
    Well.. I just don't know what's happening. I repeated this procedure trying to find peculiar things, but always got the same results. Also tried some other users as "SYS". useless...

  • Computer can't reboot after installing drivers

    I installed my "new" MSI G-ForceMX440se-t card in Windows ME and work great. I recently upgraded to XP Home and when I installed the video drivers from the MSI disk and rebooted...it froze up in the XP splash screen before logon. I tried installing the drivers from the Nvidia site...and the same thing happens.

    In theory with programmable interrupts that SHOULD be the case but not always.
    I have seen both sides of the debate. Still, there are actually only 15 physical IRQ's to live with and some are dedicated. Having multiple devices on one IRQ is not the problem really, it's how it's managed and who gets what when it's requested is the problem.
    The best thing is to try to play by the rules if you can.

  • Can't connect after installing 9ias 1.0.2.2

    I've just installed 1.0.2.2, after having run
    1.0.2.0 for six months. I did't migrate, rebuilt from scratch. Everything is running, but I can't connect. Any idea which/where/what tnsnames.ora need to be deleted/modified? There's so much redundancy of config files.

    You cannot connect to Apache web listener or Portal? In 1.0.2.2 the default listener port is 7778 (versus 7777 in 1.0.2.0).

  • Can't boot after installing updates

    I am quite new apple and this is my first problem I have encountered.
    I downloaded updates and now my computer wont boot. I have tried safeboot and it just freezes on the 'starting OSX bar'. I have inserted 'install disk 1' (which is OSX 10.4.6) and gone through disk utilities to repair permissions and the disk - then starting from the hard drive in safeboot and it still gets no further than the 'starting OSX bar'.
    If I chosse to boot from the install disk will it take me to the 'erase and intall' option.
    What should I do? If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

    I guess you could skip the steps you have done already...
    Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc that came with your computer, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
    *Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
    5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    6. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

    Then Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
    The usual reason why updates fail or mess things up, is if Permissions are not fixed before & after every update, with a reboot... you may get a partial update when the installer finds it doesn't have Permissions to change one obscure little part of the OS, leaving you with a mix of OS versions.
    Some people get away without Repairing Permissions for years, some for only days.
    If Permissions are wrong before applying an update, you could get mixed OS versions, if Directory is the slightest messed up, who knows!
    If many Permission are repaired, or any Directory errors are found, you may need to re-apply some the latest/biggest updates.
    May even need to do an Archive and Install if you have room on the HD...
