EP6 and Citrix

We want to expose our portal to the internet using the Citrix Access Gateway as an authentication tool.  We are having problems with this, we think due to URL re-writing.
Has anyone managed to implement a similar model or have any advice as to how we might achieve this?
Thanks
Colin

Stuart,
single sigon-on from the user's local windows to the citrix desktop should be a standard citrix feature and can be realized.
For SSO from the citrix desktop to the portal, this also works fine, as the portal won't see a difference between a user calling his browser from the local workstation and from calling it through citrix. In both cases you can follow the guidelines listed in the portal's security geuide (check service.sap.com/securityguide) for this.

  • Adobe 9, TS and Citrix Launching PDF Documents 1 min+

Running Windows Server 2008R2 and Citrix Xenapp6. When connecting via Citrix ICA protocol and
launching any app that references a PDF file it takes a long time for the document to launch.
If I login via RDP it is quick to launch the document. I have changed rights, permissions, loaded and reloaded, patches, versions 9 and 10....about anything I can think of. PDF files still open so slow it is not acceptable.
Anyone have any ideas or had this issue before??

Does it help if you give a user a new Adobe profile?

  • Acrobat Licensing and Citrix

Does anyone know if you are required to purchase a license for both the desktop and Citrix if you are accessing Adobe Acrobat by both methods?

Per the Adobe EULA, you are allowed to install and activate the software on up to two computers, virtual or physical...
There's also a special item on that page about Deploying Adobe Acrobat X products on Citrix.

  • SBO and Citrix. Hardware requeriments

    Hi,
We are looking for the hardware requeriments for a SBO and Citrix installation. It would be for moreless 30-40 concurrent users.
We have downloaded the SBO hardware requeriments sizing guide, but we are looking for real experience feedback.
Anybody can give us some feedback on this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ibai Peña
PS: Nobody has used Citrix? This is not what Citrix says...

I've checkes it for you, here it comes:
    SBO & MSSQL Server
Intel Xeon 3.2 Ghz, 1,5 GB RAM
    Clients
Intel Xeon 3.2 Ghz, 2 GB RAM
However, keep in mind that these are virtual servers, and I don't know on what 'real' servers those virtual servers are hosted, and not know the amount of memory I get allocated per user...
    Kind regards,
    Rowdy
Concerning Virtual Servers, it's some software that runs on a 'real' server, wich can host multiple operating systems. So you have one piece of hardware, but in your network you can have multiple servers/clients etc. Need a nice test server? Add one to your Virtual Server and your ready, no need to buy new hardware...

  • Remote desktop and citrix server

On my corporate network, which is Windows based, we are able to hit our Citrix server from inside the firewall using the Windows remote desktop program. How do I do the same with my Mac, when I am on the network inside our firewall? I can reach the server with no problems from outside the firewall.

What application are you using to try and connect? I would guess that you're using the Citrix app or Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac, neither of which will be most likely to get assistance with in this forum which is for Apple's own software for managing networked Macs. If you'll tell us what software you're using to try and connect, we can probably direct you to the place where you'll be most likely to get quick and accurate suggestions.

  • SAP BPC 7.5 SP3 and Citrix Entering Data through BPC Client and Citrix

    Hello BPC experts,
my client is using SAP BPC 7.5 SP3 in combination with Citrix. We are having problems now, while entering data through the BPC Client (installed on BPC Server) and the BPC Client (running on Citrix).
When we enter data through the BPC Client (Server) and expand the sheet, we can only see the data that we entered through the BPC client (Server). When entering data through the BPC Client (Citrix), we can see only the data we enter through the BPC Client (Citrix).
The database, however, saves both entries correctly. For test purposes we created a test report which shows both entries correctly in the BPC Client on the server and on Citrix.
Does anyone have an idea what can be wrong with our system? We tried to create an EvDRE log File for this BPC version as well, but failed. Maybe one of you already did that and can help me with this.
    Thanks in advance!

You can greatly improve your chance of receiving a helpful answer to your question if you state the version (MS or NW) of BPC which you are using.
Also notice the sticky [note|Please do not post BPC, SSM or FI/CO questions here!; at the top of this forum whereby we announced new dedicated forums for BPC which are the proper place to post your questions regarding BPC in the future to be able to reach the right audience for your question.

  • Cisco CSC Web Filtering and Citrix\Ts users

Hello we need to buy a cisco CSC module for cisco ASA, and we're using Citrix Presentation server and Terminal Server Users, is CSC capable of ahtentitcate transparent the users in citrix (x users are using same IP)?, the CSC uses ntlm for this?, thanks for all.

    Hello,
No, as I already answered on the other question
Yes, it will be a problem as the AD agent will need to log every single time a user logs into a PC, then it will create a map ( username to Ip) In this case that will be the problem as all of them will have the same one."

  • Windows 7, Firefox and Citrix Access Gateway

    Hello
I have a PC with Windows 7 Professional (32 bit).
I have web access to a Citrix Access Gateway, and it works mostly fine in IE9. But when I try to access via Firefox 9.0.1 the CAG writes that no Citrix client is installed. If I click Already installed, I can move forward, but then there's a box up asking if I want to open or save Launch.ICA when I try to open a program. Whatever I choose, it will not work.
I have a desktop PC with Windows 7 Home Premium and there are no problems even in Firefox 9.0.1. Same version of Citrix Web plugin installed on both PCs and UAC is completely turned off on both.
If there are more security options than in the Professional Premium - So is there anything I can try to disable the Professional?
I can not immediately see that I can do so much in Firefox.
    sincerely
    Martin

I tried to install the extension IE Tab 2 in Firefox.
It seems to have solved the problem.

  • Transporter 6.1 and Citrix

    Hello -
We recently upgraded to TES 6.1.  We have installed the new Transporter on Citrix.  The problem is that we save our connections and the next time we log in, the connections are either blank or have a 0.  Is there a way to change the path where the connections are stored?  I know we can change the location of the log files and the mapping file.  I'm hoping I can configure the Connections files also.
    Thanks!
    Michelle

    What browser are you using?

  • Acrobat X and citrix

We are currently using Acrobat 9.4 pro and having problems in a Citrix Presentation Server with Windows Terminal Services. We are having problems with the servers pegging out their CPU's. Will X alleviate this? Also, will there be support if this hasn't been fixed. Acrobat has become virutally useless to us and we're thinking of switching to Foxit.

Right now we're running 9.4 pro and when our staffers opens pdf's, the cpu on the servers go to 100%. We haven't figured out any pattern with when or how this happens.
We have been aware that sometimes when a staffer opens a pdf they get errors and then it pegs out the cpu and then they close and re-open the same pdf again the problem goes away. This is only sometime though. For these instances it seems that acrobat is looking for something and when the pdf is open for the 2nd time it finds whatever it is looking for.
We're also running acrobat on vmware, citrix and terminal servers.

  • ISE and Citrix Netscaler for LB

I'm working on a solution where we have NetScaler load balancers distributing radius requests from the NADs to respectvie PSNs. Authentication works and redirect URLs work etc.. The challenge we're having is with EAP-TLS sessions. The user get's a provisioned certificate and chain that checks out on the endpoint fine. When the user tries to connect with the device we see EAP timeouts from the ISE session to the supplicant. Each PSN has the internal identity cert configured for EAP authentication that has been configured from the same internal CA within the customers PKI.
Has anyone configured a NetScaler for use with ISE and besides the general guidlines below are there more specific things that need to be done to make this work with Citrix NetScalers?
    Load Balancing guidelines.
    No NAT.
Each PSN must be reachable by the PAN / MNT directly, without having to go through NAT (Routed mode LB, not NAT).
Each PSN must also be reachable directly from the client network for redirections (CWA, Posture, etc…)
Perform sticky (aka: persistence) based on Calling-Station-ID and Framed-IP-address
Session-ID is recommended if load balancer is capable (ACE is not).
VIP for PSNs gets listed as the RADIUS server on each NAD for all RADIUS AAA.
Each PSN gets listed individually in the NAD CoA list by real IP address (not VIP).
If ”Server NAT" the PSN-initiated CoA traffic, then can list single VIP in NAD CoA list.
Load Balancers get listed as NADs in ISE so their test authentications may be answered.
ISE uses the Layer 3 address to identify the NAD, not the NAS-IP-Address in the RADIUS packet. This is a primary reason to avoid Source NAT (SNAT) for traffic sent to VIP.

Does anyone have a working configuration for this?  I'm getting successful authentications from the supplicant, but CoA fails. When I perform a CoA I get two of each of the following messages:
    1) Event & Failure reason "5436 RADIUS packet already in the process"
    then
    2) Event "5417 Dynamic Authorization failed" / Failure reason "11215 No response has been received from Dynamic Authorization Client in ISE"
The policy nodes are not physically located behind the NetScaler, so I have them pointing to the NetScaler as the default GW.  I'm not sure if we have the policy on the NS configured correctly though, because I had to add the NetScaler as a Network Device and I was under the impression that the switch and PSN should continue to talk directly to each other.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Cheers!
    Ken
