Hi All,
Is the below core build will be compatible with EP6.
Windows 7 with service pack 1
Microsoft Office 2007 with service pack 3
Adobe flash player 11.1
Adobe Reader X (10.1.2)
Java 6
Internet Explorer 9
Microsoft Office 2007 Visio viewer
And please let me know the compatibility with 7.3 also as we are planning to upgrade to 7.3.

Hi,
Basically for installing the SAP EP system, you need to check if your Operating system version, Database version and Java version are supported in the PAM. Remaining software would not really affect the installation of the SAP system.
Also I do not think Win 7 is supported platform for EP6 based SAP system. Please check the PAM link.

That's why you see this:
When I try to do the updates my computer says it has ready it goes through like it is downloading them then at the end it says some of the files could not be saved to "/" files.
After your restart your Mac, click the Apple  menu (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update ...

While using Final Cut Express 4.0.1 on one machine I save (saves as .fcp) and now when I try to open the same file to continue editing, on a machine running Yosemite, and FCE 4 it gives an error message saying "This project is unreadable or may be too new for this version of Final Cut". I have worked this way before (not ideal), I am wondering if the 4.0.1 update is still available and if so where?
Any Help would be great.

I am trying to install IIS 6 Metabase and IIS 6 configuration compatibility to my Windows 7 ultimate machine. the install fails, and the following log entry is created
Update IIS-Metabase of package IIS-WebServer-Package failed to be turned on. Status: 0x80070bc9.

Install the IIS 6.0 Management Compatibility Components in Windows Server 2008 R2 or in Windows Server by using the Server Manager tool
Click Start, click Administrative Tools, and then click Server Manager.
In the navigation pane, expand Roles, right-click Web Server (IIS), and then click Add Role Services.
In the Select Role Services pane, scroll down to IIS 6 Management Compatibility.
Click to select the IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility and IIS 6 Management Console check boxes.
In the Select Role Services pane, click Next, and then click Install at the Confirm Installations Selectionspane.
Click Close to exit the Add Role Services wizard.
Install the IIS 6.0 Management Compatibility Components in Windows 7 or in Windows Vista from Control Panel
Click Start, click Control Panel, click Programs and Features, and then click Turn Windows features on or off.
Open Internet Information Services.

Shopping for new HD: Difference between SATA and SATA II? / Compatibility?

I'm looking for a new HD to replace the original, now failing Maxtor drive in my G5 tower (1.8 Ghz dual processor, purchased in Aug. 2004), and have just about settled on the Western Digital Caviar SE16 series. It seems there are two types -- SATA and SATA II -- and I'm not sure about how to make a decision on which particular WD model to buy.
Will either type work in my machine? Or would the SATA II have potential compatibility problems? I read somewhere in these forums that someone with a G5 had bought an SATA II drive, and it wouldn't run with his system. (He said he had to reset some jumper switches to reduce the transfer rate of the drive [??], but now I'm told elsewhere that SATA drives don't have jumper switches.)
Kinda confusing trying to choose the right drive, so any help is appreciated.
Also, am wondering if there are any connectivity parts (power cable, SATA cable, screws, etc.) in particular that wouldn't come supplied with the drive. (I'll be ordering a retail drive, not OEM or refurb, so hoping it might come with everything I need.)

Thanks for the info. I don't see the 250GB w/ 16MB cache drive that I was looking for, but OWC has a very good price on the 500 GB drive. A few questions for clarification:
- Re: +"The later model SATA II drives often have a jumper to limit transfer rates to 150."+ -- Any tips on finding out if these jumper switches are present in a particular drive? OWC doesn't specify this, and this info seems to be generally hard to find.
- Re: +"...some are SATA I/II which are designed to work on both types."+ -- Same problem here... I'm not finding any info in the various drives' specs on this. To make this easier on myself, I'd rather get a drive that I don't have to mess with jumper switches, or at least be able to determine if a particular drive will present SATA I / II issues. - Will upgrading to a drive with 16MB cache give me an improvement in performance? And are there any compatibility issues with my particular G5? (I'm assuming a 16MB cache drive will work fine with my machine, and based on my reading they do provide a speed boost.)

I am looking for a power shell script to convert .doc file to .docx in word 2013 and also make the compatibility mode go away. So the user only has to open it and has no issues with compatibility. I have found a couple but still have the compatibility mode when opening.

OS 10.4.11 and HP Officejet 4500 compatibility issue (scanning)

Hi there,
I am having a compatibility issue with a G4 (OS 10.4.11) and a HP Officejet 4500 (all-in-one).
(Sorry if this is a little long, but there are many specs and many attempts listed here).
Problem: I cannot scan from the computer (upon opening HP Scan, a Browser Device window pops up, asking to "Choose a scanning device" the model is not listed, and it continues to search for a device but cannot find it) or from the scanner control panel to the computer (I tried selecting Open in HP Scan and Open in Preview from the panel –it then says on the panel "Starting scanning" but it doesn't scan even though the power button flashes (it then reverts to date and time), and the program it's opening in on the computer just seems to hang).
Still, some functions work fine:
- I can print from the computer to the printer (it recognizes the printer)
- The HP fax test seemed to run fine (via computer)
- As a stand-alone device (without the computer), I can photocopy in B&W and color –so there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the scanner itself.
Here are the specs:
Computer specs:
- PowerPC G4, 933 MHz, 512 MB SDRAM, running OS 10.4.11 (no Intel Core processor)
(the hard drive is partitioned into 3 –one runs 10.4.11 (the others Jaguar and OS9 –for compatiblity with other programs/peripherals) –21GB space remaining on 10.4.11 partition
All-in-One specs:
- HP Officejet 4500 G510g-m (USB, not wireless) all-in-one (printer/scanner/fax/copier) with USB 2.0 high-speed A-B printer cable (says in literature and on box it is compatible with the G4 running OS 10.4.11, 256 MB RAM, 500 MB HD)
I contacted HP Tech Support. They suggested the following which were tried and failed to work:
- shutting everything down and restarting (many times)
- they checked to see if there was any update to the HP software –there didn't appear to be
- plug power cord directly into wall outlet
- switch to USB 2.0 cable (from 1.0)
- unplugging and replugging the USB 2.0 cable
- plug USB directly into the G4
- turning off the firewall (under System Preferences - Sharing)
- "scrub" or complete uninstall of all HP software (twice)
- search and removal of files via system and user libraries pertaining to HP (and some Epson files)
- verify and repair permissions (twice)
- reinstall of HP software (twice, second time after scrub/uninstall and verify/repair permissions)
- Software Update (via Apple menu) –only found Java 1.3.1 and 1.4.2 Release 2 (version 2.0) which they suggested might fix the problem –I downloaded and installed them, and then J2SE 5.0 Release 4 (version 4.0) which I downloaded but could not install (error message)
I then contacted Apple Tech Support and they said to go to support.apple.com and do a manual search for "HP 4500" –I did not find any drivers.
[I did previously have an Epson CX 4600 all-in-one which scanned fine with a USB 1.0 cable, even after the printheads had clogged shut –and I had had a HP Officejet J4580 which worked fine (which was for a family member) –this software would've been removed with the current HP installs and scrubs]
I am on the verge of returning this –it has also gotten several very bad reviews on the Apple site (for the wireless), however, I may have trouble finding a compatible device, as one running 10.4 is getting hard to find (unless I buy used, then no warranty and potentially other problems).
If anyone knows of any drivers or has any other information as to why this is not working, I would be most grateful (BTW, I am not much of a tech guy, so please bear with me).

Mac 10.5.8 and itunes 11.1 compatability when using ipad2 with ios7

I have updates my ipad to iOS7, but now it says on my mac (10.5.8) that i hav eto have Itunes 11.1 or later which i can't get. Would of been nice to have had some kind of compatability as I use the 2 devices in tandem regularily. Is there anything i can do without purchasing any software?

You need to upgrade to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 - if your MacBook can run that:

Acrobat x and Word 2010 NOT Compatable

I have three computers with idential build. The only difference is one has acrobat x standard, one has acrobat x pro, and one third has acrobat 9 pro
Using X.
When making pdfs through word 2010 two things happen. Either word freezes, shutsdown, and then tells me the add on is corrupt. Or it will make the pdf but it is very slow and images or text or shaded boxes disappear. I have uninstalled the software and reinstalled without success. This happens onboth computers using X.
If i go to the computer with 9 the pdfs are quick and works without issue. The only reason we upgarded was because 9 was not supposed to be compatable with word 2010. Apparently X is not either.
Please help if you have any suggestions.

Web Service WLS9.2 and WLS6.1 SOAP compatibility

We have a Web Service (running on WLS6.1) which has been published for a long time, and many customers have developed their own clients.
Now we must upgrade our Web Service from WLS6.1 to WLS9.2. In practice we had to re-develope the Web Service starting form the original WSDL.
The new WSDL is identical to the original one, and the business code inside has obviously been kept the same.
The new Java Test Client that we generated with clientgen (WLS92) works fine, but we need to guarantee total compatibility for all the clients developed for the 6.1 version.
Unfortunately testing our new Web Service (WLS9.2) with our old java Client (developed with WLS6.1), we found that the SOAP implementation of arrays has changed, and therefore the old client is not compatible with the new Web Services.
Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround or a solution to this problem?

I downloaded OC4J 10.1.2.0.2 and ran it as as a standalone server.
I read the blog you linked and made the changes to the web.xml for the webservice. All of which I was able to do using the property palette in jdev 10.1.2.1.0.
I deployed my webservice to my oc4j standalone server and it appeared as a new application. I editied the orion-web.xml for the new application manually.
When I point my browser at the webservice I get the test page which allows me to pass parameters to the webserive. I invoke the webservice (which does a HTTP GET according to the test page) and the webservice runs. No user and password is needed though.
What is the expected behaviour? I was hoping that the webservice wouldn't run until I supplied the admin user name and password
