This is the choice i see on the right hand column:
So I ended up using the blemish tool in Photobucket.
Then I decided to download and play around with Photoshop. But as I compare the new image I made in Photoshop with the image I made in Illustrator below, I still like how the image below came out using Illustrator because one can see the "refelection" in the mirror which is perfect for the story I need to convey.
That said, what's the best way to recreate this that is more blended?

I changed the white portion of 1 label to black - - this can be any color. To do this use the magic wand tool, tolerance=10 worked for me, then go to Edit>fill selection.

How can I fix the error image and get the regular image to load?

Ever since the recent big update for Firefox I've been getting some sort of error for loading certain images.

--The original image that is supposed to show is also available in that image
Certain sites give a different size of that error image, but it looks the most like an error triangle
I've already tried the troubleshoot of not loading images and none of the options worked
If someone has this problem or knows how to fix it, it would be a great help

Solution found:
The addon "Stylish" with the theme "Google two themes" interfered with the image loading of the sites. Disabling the theme was the solution.

How to open a .jpg image and edit it.

I can't seem to figure out how to open a .jpg image or any image in Flash Professional CC. I'm quite new to this so sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. When I go to File>Open I can only see .as , .fla, .jsfl , .xsfl and .xml files. I do not have an option to be able to view .jpg or .png pictures. I would appericate if somebody could take the time and answer this for me

If you want to edit a jpeg or png image, do that with a separate program such as Fireworks or Photoshop. After you import the image into Flash you can edit the image again in these separate applications and update the image you imported into Flash via selecting the Properties option in the library menu for the image and clicking the Update button.

How to cut out part of an image and replace with another?

ok, i'm a newbie to image editing, and i want to cut out a persons face in a picture and put in another face on the picture. i'm sure this is pretty simple, i just have no idea where to start. can someone point me in the right direction? thanks!

Aperture is not a pixel editor, which is what you need. Photoshop is the app used for this, but it's cost is several times that of AP! As suggested in the second post, look into Photoshop Elements, a slimmed-down and much cheaper version of Photoshop. [I don't use Elements, so if someone knows that it can't do area copies from one pic to another, please join the conversation!]
And get a good book on Photoshop or Elements, there's a huge learning curve involved. I'd suggest going to a book shop, pulling a few such books off the shelf and check their index for editing techniques. Sometimes you'll find one book that gives you the exact step-by-step instructions for doing what you want. Then there'll be others that don't get into the topic or do a poor job.

Permanently removing part of an image from a transparent background png file

Hello, I think I know the answer to this question, but I wanted to double check. I am new to Photoshop and do not know all the functions. I have a png transparent background file of a tree with a lot of branches. I want to erase some of the branches so they are just permanently gone. I would like to use this image on different backgrounds so I am looking to just erase the branches all together. Is this possible? If not in Photoshop, perhaps another adobe program? Thank you!

If you want to permanently delete the branches then you can just erase them using the eraser tool. I would always suggest keeping the original file just in case something goes wrong and you want to start again. So just open the .png, save a new version and start erasing the branches you want.

That doesn't surprise me, that code wasn't meant to be a direct replacement for yours, it's just there to illustrate an idea for Nancy.
The <body> tag itself should not be changed in that manner because the <body> holds ALL of your site's visual elements. If you were to change the <body> in the way you are attempting (which isn't possible), everything in your site would need to be within that oval.
If you just want an oval background image on the <body>, turn the image itself into an oval in Photoshop and outside the oval, either use the same color as the <body> background-color, or leave it transparent and save it as a .png with transparency.
Your inset shadow css is badly malformed...
1. The attribute "shadow" doesn't exist. You're looking for CSS3 box-shadow.
2. Safari and DW need the -webkit- prefix to display it (again, you need to test in more than one browser)
3. The settings need to be in the correct order: h-shadow, v-shadow, blur, spread, inset (something like box-shadow:10px 10px 5px 5px rgba(255, 255, 255, .5) inset;
Keep in mind, css3 settings (like rgba color settings and box-shadow in its entirety) don't work in IE8 and lower at all, and are pretty spotty in IE9.

Album artwork-how do i get rid of old low res images and get new artwork?

Before apple introduced the new artwork download, I spent ages searching the internet for album sleeves and copied them to itunes, but the quality of the images in some cases was very bad. I am trying to replace this artwork with the downloadable high quality images but I can't work it out. I have tried going to the itunes folder in the music section of the finder and deleting all album artwork and then starting a new album artwork download, but all my old crappy low res pictures turn up again after I have done it. Any clues please? I am sure I am missing something.

Select all the muisic you want to remove artwork from.
Right click - Get info.
iTunes willask if you wan tot edit info for multiple items at once. Click OK.
ONLY tick the box next to Artwork then Apply.
It should delete all artwork in those songs.

Importing GIF images and maintaining transparency

I have an issue involving gif images where there is a transparent area that must remain transparent. When I import these images into FCP (6.0.4), the transparent area becomes white and looks awful... how do I fix this phenomenon?

Does it really have to be GIF?
Only 256 colors as opposed to the 16 million possible in a TV picture.
Alpha channel is either on or off - meaning you can't have semi-transparent areas.
Non-existent anti aliasing and horrible quality generally.
Even with JPEG you are pushing your luck. JPEG compression can corrupt the fields in interlaced video.
Saving money on cheap, quick graphics now means spending it later trying to fix what "doesn't look right". Guess what? It never will.
TIFF is best, PNG will just about do it if not.

Can we erase 3.2.1 version and get the 3.1.0 back?

We did an erase and install due to freezing up....it was working fine, then we did the update to Safari 3.2.1 and it is freezing up (not just on safari though) - we want to try to go back to old version and entirely erase the newer one and see if that works. Is that possible without doing a entire "erase and install" again?

Yes you can. I've just done it- TWICE ! (Like an idiot I reinstalled 3.2.1 when the auto update came through.)
You'll need your original OS leopard OS disc. First you'll need to delete files including and related to Safari: Go to the Macintosh HD and to library folder. in there go to a folder caller receipts and remove anything related to Safari to trash (I should point out I didn't have anything but the Apple support guy told me to do this and moved on when there was nothing related to Safari there, but you might have something)
Go to your applications folder and drag the safari application to trash (do not delete at this stage) Open your home folder (looks like a house with your name on it) and drag the safari folder to trash (this contains plists and will be important to reinstall from later so don't delete yet!).
Insert your OS disc and open the mounted image. In there you will see a folder called optional installs below the install. Double click the pkg (open box) to open and select the applications arrow to see the list of applications to install. check safari and install.
If your bookmarks have been deleted (as mine were) open the safari folder in the trash and drag the bookmarks.plist to desktop. In the home folders safari folder, remove the new booklist to trash. Drag your old bookmark.plist from desktop to the folder you're replacing. reopen safari and you'll see you have Safari 3.1.2, nice and trouble free!
Just remember not to do the software update until they sort it out!
(I should mention I have no tech expertise, i'm simply relating what the apple support guy did for me and I noted down- sorry if it doesn't work for you!)

would apprichate help from any one who can tell me how and is

with movie length and jpg\gif image capture of one of the frames
(if i can set to to frame 20 and not 1 as dafualt) out of flv file.
its for academic fms project and we have thousands of courses
which we recorded and got them on flv, and need the data for the

FLVMDI will create the XML file for you (it will have
additional nodes, but it will have the info you need). FFMPEG will
extract the images for you.
I'm not sure if either of those programs do batch

Downgraded to 3.6 and now there is a "background" image to the sides on websites that showed up in 4 and now is still there. How do I get rid of the side image and get the site to look like it once did??

Often sites display the site in the middle with filler to the side. Now there is an image there that doesnt show up on Opera but now it does on firefox

I did safe mode as you suggested and things were set to the default theme.
It still didn't display like it did before I "upgraded".
Let me ask this another way. Looking at this very site, the whole website is displayed in the center of the screen and the sides are blank. Meaning that there is a bunch of wasted space. How do I configure firefox so it fills the screen?? If I could see just the middle portion that is how it used to display things.
Here is what I mean:

I just want to see:

And only that filling the screen.

Rotating an image and getting back the image...

I have a small problem using images...
1. I have an existing image...
2. I need to rotate the image by a certain angle(say 60 degree)....
3. Return the rotated image back to the calling routine...
My problem is that I can rotate the image using the AffineTransform, and draw the image immediately... but I cannot return the rotated image... can anyone help me out on this??????

No sorry that didn't fix it. I forgot to mention that I already have a method in ImagePanel called clearImage()
