  • The waveform of output from file is different from original one

    I've a new question about displaying a waveform from a text file. The waveform which its data is from file is different from the original one.
    I attached image files which included my two vi files and 3 waveform. In the compressed file, "ReadData_Waveform1.jpg" is a image of waveform from "ReadData.jpg" vi file with the configuration of "Transpose" is True,
    "ReadData_Waveform2.jpg" is a image of waveform from "ReadData.jpg" vi file with the configuration of "Transpose" is False,
    "WriteData_Waveform.jpg" is a image of waveform from "WriteData.jpg" vi file.
    I attached the source file of waveform with text format as well.
    Please help me to solve this question if there is anyone who can figure it out.
    Thanks, Andy.

    Hi Andy
    If you transpose the data when you write it, you also have to transpose it when you read it.
    Just have a look at the simple example attached. I write data and read it again. Each file operation is called with the default-value for transpose (false). The data is read correctly.
    Hope this helps.

  • Keychain password different from login password

    I've gotten mixed feedback on this: What additional security, if any, is obtained by making your keychain password different from your login password?

    I concede that if:
    - any shoulder-lookers/keyloggers have equal access to the login and keychain passwords
    - the login password isn't being used for anything else
    - the login password isn't being stored in some other insecure location (maybe in a script for use in a sudo command)
    - you're not using ftp/some other protocol w/insecure logins to connect to that computer and get data
    then there is no reason to have separate login and keychain passwords.
    But what I'm saying is that there are lots of little things (like those I mentioned above) that can be security holes that one simply doesn't think about. A user who is truly concerned about security may wish to simply have two separate passwords, thereby avoiding many (not all) potential insecurities.

  • File displaying different from Photoshop to Illustrator

    I have a simple chalkboard background I made in Photoshop and I'm importing into Illustrator. My issue is the file displays completely different from Photoshop to Illustrator. See image below.
    I've had this happen to other files but this one is so incredibly different, I can't understand what's happening and I can't manage the design with it being this different. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance for your help!
    Rachel

    Thanks again Monika. I can't figure this out. The color management is all synchronized among all my Adobe applications. Yes the file is in layers and when I view the JPG in Photoshop, it looks as it should. It's only when I bring it into Illustrator does it look like that. I opened up a new Illustrator doc and placed the same JPG (as well as dragged the PSD file directly from the Photoshop window into Illustrator) and it looks better and more like it should. My other doc was a new doc too so I'm not sure what happened. At any rate, I can't explain what happened and I'm just hoping it doesn't happen again.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Menu-text in burned DVD is different from original

    I have created a simple menu consisting of a row of ten buttons. Each button has a persons name in it. All the ten names/buttons are aligned. In the simulator everthing is OK but when I play the burned DVD the row of names is not aligned anymore and the space between different words in 1 button are different from the original as well. How do I change this?

    sometimes duplicate fonts can re-format themselves this way when different version with the same names are used. If resolving duplicates in font book doesn't do the trick, I'd recommend using photoshop instead of DVDSP to create the menu

  • PDF file previewed as an attachment to email differs from original

    I have a pdf of a book cover that was created from an InDesign file.
    It is a four-color book cover spread. I cropped the file and resaved with a new name to show only the front cover (the right side of the file).
    I emailed this to a client and when they opened it, it showed the complete, uncropped version and the colors were missing.
    I tested this several times and when the file is actually downloaded, it is correct.
    But if it is "previewed" within the email client (AOL & Yahoo), this weird uncropped two-color version appears. I've been working with and emailing pdfs since Acrobat 4 and have never encountered anything like this.
    Any idea what's happening?

    Hello Bill, Thanks for weighing in. I had an 11X17 pdf provided by a designer that shows a book cover "spread" that was created in InDesign.
    The back cover is shown on the left, the front cover on the right. I needed to create a sample for a book that is to be published soon that would include the front cover as the first page of the pdf and the back cover as the last page. I opened the 11X17 pdf in Photoshop CS 6 and made cropped versions of the front and back, saving them as jpgs. In Acrobat I created pdfs of the front and back jpgs and inserted those into the sample. The customer posted this to his website, here:
    http://academicsofflight.com/
    If you click on the "Coming Soon" link it takes you to the download of the sample.
    When users download the file it is fine: a 12 page 880 KB pdf. But if they click and view it on their device, the first page shows the original uncropped version of the cover, without the colors (it shows up with a white background).
    The customer complained and I emailed him the pdf I provided after checking to confirm that it was correct. But when I "viewed" it from the message I sent in Firefox using the Yahoo PDF viewer I got the same results (and was both mystified and mortified).
    The first page is supposed to look exactly like the thumbnail on the website below "Coming Soon"
    I have never seen anything like this in many years of using Photoshop and Acrobat. I'm on Photoshop CS6, Acrobat X, anf Firefox 28.

  • Filevault2 system password different from user password

    Using filevault2 system encryption I noticed that my login password is also used to decrypt the disk at boot time.
    This does not fit my needs. My requirements for the system encryption passphrase and the login password differ significantly.
    To protect my disk, I want to use a long and complicated pass phrase. One that can not be broken by brute force in the universe's lifetime.
    For my login account, I want a shorter, easy to type password. The main use of this password is to authorize actions that need administrative privileges. And it is needed quite often. Using the disk pass phrase for this purpose is just impractical.
    Is it possible to set up the system this way? Of course, if the shorter login password can also unlock the disk, then no security is gained by having an additional longer pass phrase.
    I tried to change the pass phrase of the system partition in disk utility. I selected the OSX partition and executed File->Change Password.
    There was no error message of any kind, but on the next boot, I was still able to unlock the disk using my shorter login password. (Which managed to cause some distrust in filevault2 on my side. What is going on? There was no error message when changing the password in disk utility.)

    After the next reboot, it showed again decrypting progress.
    Decrypting is not very stable, I had two freezes during decryption, where a Window of Death advises you to hold the power button until the computer turns off.
    Several more times, the progress indication of the decryption process displayed nonsense.
    Reencryption had to be done as the new disk unlocker user, as it is not possible to exclude the user from disk unlocking that starts the filevault2 encryption.
    What about the other question, why is it possible to set a password for the system partition in disk utility without any error message, and, as it seems, without any effect?

  • Source structure of XML file as different from Message type?

    Hi,
    We are picking an xml file from the FTP server of the client.
    We have source message type 'MT_Invoice' with data type as 'DT_Invoice'.
    When we open the message mapping test tab, the source structure is as shown below.
    <ns0:MT_Invoice xmlns:ns0="urn:maxxium:nordic:invoice:inbound">
       <Invoices>
          <Invoice>
          </Invoice>
       </Invoices>
    </MT_Invoice>
    My question is "What should be the structure of the XML file that the client is depositing on to the FTP server?".
    Should it start with the tag 'MT_Invoice' with the namespace or should it simply start from    <Invoices> tag.
    I have tried various combinations for the source xml structure. But all are failing.
    (This is evident from the fact that the mapping is failing. That's why I have given the structure from the source structure of the message mapping tab.)
    Kindly help.
    Thanks,
    John

    you are picking an XML file. So you should create the MT which would represent exactly the XML format of the source file.
    So ideally if your file starts with <invoice>, then name your MT as invoice

  • IMovie 11 file size differs from the size it becomes in iDVD

    I've made a movie in iMovie 11, and the file size in the finder information window says that it is 667MB, but when I sent it to iDVD it was too big for a single dvd.  What are my options?  Really would rather not have to chop things out...

    Just to clarify, and to add to zyfert's advice, the Best Performance encoding setting allows a duration up to one hour only, including themes and menus, for a single layer DVD. High Quality and Professional Quality give you up to 2 hours (as mentioned by Lennart). But to maintain optimum quality, it's probably best not to exceed your current project duration of 95 minutes (you may need an extra few minutes for menus).
    I appreciate that all this can be inferred from Lennart's and zyfert's excellent advice, but just wanted to expand on it a little.

  • I cloud password different from apple ID? won't recognise my password, so I reset it as want to give my phone to my daughter. Having MAJOR problems!!

    I want to give my old iphone4 to my daughter but it won't let me reset anything without my iCloud password. Unfortunately it did not recognise my password and when I requested to reset it I was taken to Apple ID. I changed the password but my email is not an iCloud one so it still won't recognise it or my original i cloud password. Help!! Apple have been no help at all....

    Hey! What way did you try to reset your iphone?
    The easiest thing (please correct me if i'm wrong now) is:
    settings, general, reset -> reset all ("contents and settings")
    You just need the unlock-code for this.
    What iOS are you running on that phone?
    If this doesn't help, please let us know!

  • Different colors from original footage

    Hello,
    i got footage from a HMC151 Panasonic. I edit in prores 422 and then export in quicktime self contained, and then compressor to obtain a standard dvd. I notice that the colors are quite different from original footage, they seems like colds. There's a way to retain original colors. Is up to compressor the difference?
    Thanx
    Fran

    I don't believe you want to over do this adjustment.The preview window will show a true compressed frame, as in what you'll get in the end when you submit the job... so if you make this too dark or whatever, you'll also do this to the resulting files. i.e, this preview should match the resulting file as it is actually applying the change in the preview window. What you see there before you compress should be what you see with the compressed files.

  • Portal 902. Uploaded document differs from downloaded document.

    We are currently trying to set-up a portlet, which would include items (documents, images etc.). The problem we faced in that process is related to portal's storing process. We uploaded a pdf-file (Java API Guide from otn.oracle.com) as a simple file. Then, attempting to open the same file from portal, we got different errors: "the file is damaged and could not be repaired", "error reading xref entry" etc. Since these errors refer to acrobat reader and browser conflict we turned that "open in browser" option off in Adobe Acrobat. After this, the situation did not improve. Still, it was possible to download the document from the portal as a file. We downloaded the file and made a binary comparison. The result was quite intereseting since the size of both (uploaded to portal and downloaded from portal) was the same (210 Kb) but the content was different. I will add also a excerpt from that downloaded file that differed from the initial file. How could we avoid similar problems in the future? Thank you.

    I am having the exact same problem on 10.1.4. I have a pdf on my desktop which opens fine in Acrobat reader (v 7.0). I upload it to my portal page as a file and when I click on the link I get the "this file is damaged and cannot be repaired" message. I downloaded the portal version of the PDF and an extra 66 bytes had been added to it.
    I only get this in my live environment as the file uploaded OK in user test. I have uploaded other PDF files and they can be viewed OK.
    Has anyone come across and fixed this in the six years since the original post?
    Thanks,
    Steven.

  • Missing patch files when applying patch

    Hello

    Has anyone come across this and how was the problem solved ?
