ERR: SynchManager's Try Connection Button: "Failed to Connect to SBOCommon"

When running SynchManager and testing the connection, I get the same error every time:
SBO Error #-111: Failed to Connect to SBOCommon
I can see both the B1 SQL Server and the Web Tools SQL Server, but it doesn't see the SBOCommon database. It's clearly there, though - why would this happen?

Jay, I've checked on the things you mentioned and am still stuck. Here're my results:

...yes, but for some reason it blows up on me when I do certain things. This is not the first time this has happened, either. I have a backup of my SAP DB from over a month ago (same version as the current), and I restore it to the same SQL server under a different name. When I log in to it via SAP B1, it tells me that my password is expired and I need to change it. I change it to something else quick and it lets me in, but as soon as it finishes loading up it crashes. Upon trying to go in again, I use the new password and get in successfully. I'd prefer it if all of the manager passwords stay the same, so I go into Users and change the password back. When I Update the password dialog it goes through OK, but when I Update the user dialog it blows up again, password unchanged. This might be related to a different problem.

No such file exists anywhere in \Windows.

I have a web site running on https. Every users need certificates to get in.
I found out that if I didn't submit my cert within 30 seconds, Firefox displayed "The connection was interrupted". This problem is repeatable. But if I click on "Try Again" button on the error page, I can get in all the time.
This problem doesn't happen on IE.
Can you provide any tips to avoid seeing the error page?

It is a miracle - After about 9 months without itunes, the new release installed on my machine today and appears to be working.
7.0.0.70 is the verion I just installed.
Another note to add to this now resolved issue. I bought an AirPort Express and I was not able to install the Admin software on the CD. I received the same error as I received with iTunes and Quicktime. This leads me to believe that this problem is in the registry or some other installer issue that is specific to Apple installations. I will have to go home and try to re-install that software. Maybe the new iTunes version cleared up the problem.

SBO Error #-111: Failed to Connect to SBOCommon

I have recently moved my databases to a SQL 2008 server on a 64bit platform. When doing so, I installed the SQL Native Client to support the client access. I can go into SAP/b1 and access everything as I did before. (Previously SQL 2005.)
When I moved the databases, I went into the Synch Manager to change my settings. I was able to enter my SQL connection information and select my databases, but when I clicked "Try Connection", I get the error message.
I have seen where others have found that reinstalling the Synch Manager has helped... this did not work for me.
I have seen where others have deleted items from the TEMP folder... this did not work for me.
I have also seen where others stated that the 64bit SQL platform is not supported with WebTools. If this is the case, then this is a problem... However, I'm begining to think that this is an issue with the support of SQL 2008.
Can someone give me some direction to help correct this issue?

Has anyone experienced the on/off touch button and the brightness touch buttons failing on a 30" cinema screen?

I have a 30" cinema display which is about 3 years old. Everything was working fine yesterday but on reboot today the screen went dim and the brightness buttons did not work. I used the key board and increased the brightness but it went dim again on release. The on/off touch button also did not work.
I have set to disable both of these in the preferences and all is working now but I wondered if anyone else has experience of both of these touch buttons failing. The monitor has been switched off when booting up on a morning but I had not switched it off manually before shut down or set it to do so which I thought was odd. Now I wonder if it was the first signs of a breakdown of the switches on the monitor.

I am getting an occational error when I am trying to connect to one of our test databases with the DI API.
This is what the code looks like:

Now normally my SAP B1 setup for the application itself is set to Used Trusted. I started off using .UseTrusted = True but it would never let me connect until it supplied .Username and .Password
Now it seems it seems to fail more often now with both the username and password as well as being a trusted connection.
I can use SAP fine, but when I try to run my little app it says Failed to Connect to SBOCommon
Is there anything wrong in the above code? I would like to use the trusted connection because I don't want to have people type in their username/password each time they run this little middleware app nor do I want to store it on each machine.
Could it possible be an issue if my program crashes and the connection to the SAP database was not closed properly and it has to wait to timeout??

You state that you get the error "occasionally". Does that mean that you do not get it all of the time?   If you do not get it all of the time, what is the difference/what has happened between the time that you do not see the error and the time that you do? What version of Business One and patch level are you using?

Windows 7 ThinkVantage and volume buttons fail

I have installed, as a clean install, Windows7 and as a result everything works, except ThinkVantage. The bios portion still works but after boot up the Blue button ThinkVantage and the volume control buttons fail. Is there a solution to this? Hopefully some type of download that I am missing?
Any help is appreciated.

Try to install the system interface driver, hotkey feature set and productivity center. I believe that should fix your problem. Check that the system interface driver is for your thinkpad model. The hotkey software and the producticity center should work for your Thinkpad.

It sounds like you had been updating the phone and now it is in recovery mode. Take a look at this info first:
If you started your device in recovery mode by mistake, restart it to exit recovery mode. Or you can just wait—after 15 minutes the device will exit recovery mode by itself.
If you are unable to get out of Recovery Mode, use the following article to restore your device with iTunes:

The other thing I notice is that when trying to connect to the VMM. It's trying to use domain\username, yet when I try logging in with domain\username via the SCVMM Console. I get the You cannot access VMM management server (Error ID: 1604).
I'm not sure if this is why I can not add the VMM to WAP. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I am not sure about the answer but I guess these steps will solve your problem:
1) Log in to the SPF server by using an account that is a member of the SPF_Admin local group.
2) Open an elevated Windows PowerShell window.
3) Type the following commands, and press Enter after you type each command:
Import-module spfadmin
New-SCSPFTenant -Name Administrator -SubscriptionId 00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000
4) Close the WAP Server Management Portal, and then reconnect to it to update all items.

I decided to give Netflix a call about this problem.
On a recording while waiting for a support rep, it said if you're having problems logging in to go to:
http://www.netflix.com/clearcookies
It works for me. Now I have to logon everytime I go to their site though versus it had kept me already logged in before this problem.
I will be using that link to get to their site until they get it fixed.

Where exactly did you get this phone?
Do you have a SIM in the phone?
There are 2 primary causes for this.
Either you don't have a SIM in the phone, which is REQUIRED to activate it, or the phone was hacked to unlock it.

I created a simple program to get the Session ID from the di server using the VB6.0, I supplied all the valid entries but i still can't get the session id. Here is the SBODI_Server.log response given to me.

The created program is not performing a command I have written when it tries to connect to the internet, it must be Labview that is doing it. How do I stop this from happening?

It looks that way..
"When LabVIEW starts it contacts the service
locator to removes all services for itself. This request is triggering
the firewall.This is done in case there were services that were not
unregistered the last time LabVIEW executed- for example from VIs that
didn't clean up after themselves"
This is not yet fixed in LV2009.
