If I do the reinstall do I lose all the music I have loaded onto my computer?
In the normal course of events, an uninstall/reinstall doesn't touch your content files. (That being said, it's always a good idea to have a backup in case of disasters.)
On a Windows 7 machine, I'd try the instructions from the following post (given that the AAS repair didn't work for us):
Re: I recently updated to vista service pack 2 and I updated to itunes 10.2.1 and ever since I did that my itunes won't open any more.  Itunes starts but before anything loads a window pops up saying that the prograam has encountered a problem and sh...

  • "The procedure entry point AVCFPlayerItemDurationChangedNotification could not be located in the dynamic link library AVFoundationCF.dll. error

I've tried running repair, uninstalling and reinstalling with several steps of install failing. ITunes ran fine prior to this upgrade (upgrade reminder for itunes and quicktime). Now I can't even start Itunes. Help.
I tried even restoring to a previous restore point on my pc and itunes still won't run as it says it's missing some files.

AVFoundationCF.dll is part of Apple Application support, so unless you dealt with that repairs and reinstalls of iTunes will be ineffective.
The simplest thing to try is a repair of Apple application support.
Failing that, try a complete removal of all iTunes components using the method here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
Don't forget the part about deleting files.
Download a fresh copy of the iTunes Installer, saving on your PC:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Then try reinstalling. In case security software is interfering with things, it's worth disconnecting from the Internet and disabling all security software during the install.

I downloaded the latest version of iTunes on my PC.  Now I cannot open iTunes.  I receive the following error message: "The procedure entry point AVCFAssetCreateWithByteStreamAndOptions could not be located in the dynamic link library AVfoundationCF.dll"  After pressing the "OK" button I receive a second error message: 'iTunes not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.  Error 7 (Windows error 127)".  I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled to no avail.  I've also eliminated the temp files (per suggestions on the trouble-shooting page) and no luck.  I also tried system restore and that did not fix the problem.  Any thougths on a repair?

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (Although the procedure is for Vista and 7 and you've got XP, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

    Hey bcolden,
I would try uninstalling and reinstalling following the directions in here:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
This section in particular contains important information in the uninstall process:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Whenever I try and open Itunes that's an error message that pops up. I've reinstalled Itunes and Apple Application Support and then it gives me that message. Windows XP Toshiba.

Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. CoreMedia.dll is part of Apple Application Support and can normally be found in
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support    or
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

  • Updating my Win7 to 12.1, I get 'iTunes was not installed correctly Error 7 (Windows error 127). If I try to launch, I get 'The procedure entry point "CMBlockBufferCopyDataBytes" could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll'. Help!

Windows version 7. Auto update of iTunes to version 12.1 from 12.0.1.
At end of install process, message 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 127).
Tried to launch iTunes, anyway, but immediately got message 'The procedure entry point "CMBlockBufferCopyDataBytes" could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll'.
Tried downloading iTunes and updating manually - get exactly the same result.
No problem using iTunes before this.

The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find CoreMedia.dll in the one of the following folders:
         C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
         C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

  • My problem is on my Windows PC.  I am getting the error message, "The procedure entry point sqlite_3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll.  I am told this is related to iTunes.  Any help?

I use both a Mac and a PC.  My problem is on my Windows 7 PC.  I am getting the error message, "The procedure entry point sqlite_3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll.  I am told this is related to iTunes.  Any help out there?  Thanks

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Restart the programme all should be well
In case that your OS is (64 bit)
    1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"
    3. Now paste it in the folder  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Restart the programme, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
    Good Luck

Quick answer "copy the file SQLite3.dll from the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support folder"

  • Error message - the procedure entry point adiadid_acquirematchslotifnecessary could not be located in the dynamic link library iadcore.dll

I downloaded the newest version of itunes and again it messed up my dll file.  The error message is two fold. The first error message is "The Procedure Entry Point AdiADID_AcquireMatchSlotIfNecessary could not be located in the dynamic link library iAdCore.dll."  Another error message also appears which is "error 7 (Windows error 127)."  Any assistance with resolving would be great. It is very frustrating to download the newest version of iTunes and each time I have more problems.
