Error 1334: File pptxflt.flt cannot be installed

When I tried to update Acrobat Pro XI this AM, I received the message "Error 1334. The file 'pptxflt.flt' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'PCW_CAB-ACR11004'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from teh CD-ROM, or a problem with this package." I have cleared all temporary files and rebooted, and tried reinstalling the update. Still nothing. Is this a problem with the update or with my system (Win 7, 64bit)?

I tried both patch and via Help -> check for updates with exactly the same result.
Version 11.0.3 of Acrobat Pro.
Never had problems with regular updates before this one.

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".

Installs fine for me, so I'd guess you got an incomplete or corrupt download. See the Further Information area of Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for direct links and download a fresh copy of the installer.

  • AS2 error The FILE send adapter cannot open file

I have AS2 setup under biztalk. I have receive port which listen to HTTP adapter and keep listening on web site. Then there is corresponding send port which just write that file in folder . Send port just have filter for Receive adapter name.
It works fine, but some time I get error message
The FILE send adapter cannot open file <folder name\guid.txt > for writing.
Details: The system cannot find the path specified.
I am not able to understand what is error for this? Please help me to figure-out this.

Specifying the Backup transport is not going to solve the problem. Specifying the backup transport in this case is something like addressing the symptom of the issue and not finding the solution to root cause of the issue.
As you specified, if the mentioned error only happens some time but not always. In this case, the message "The
FILE send adapter cannot open file <folder name\guid.txt > for writing." would just be a warning message. Just by setting the retry in the send port will solve the issue. i..e Since this issue occurs rarely, it may be short lived glitch.
So by setting the retry count (lets say 3 times) with retry interval (let say 5 mins), this issue can be easily mitigated. You would not lose the message. So during the glitch you would get this message as warning, send port will retry "after specified
retry interval so after 5 mins", so by that time chances of files transfer is high. So this problem can be easily handled just by having retry count and retry interval in send port.
But you need to find the actual cause for this issue or you need to find the permanent resolution for this issue.

  • CS5 Error message - file-format module cannot parse the file - files made in CS5

I am a professional photographer who has used Photoshop since version 3 - I've not come across this problem - these are a set off wedding photos I've just taken and edited, retouched etc - help please ASAP

These are .tiff files made directly from my RAW image files via ACR then opened and worked on in CS5 before being saved as tiffs - some have previously been opened to watermark them for my FB page but now won't -  there are 18 out of 183 images so far that won't open in CS5, Illustrator, or Perfect Photosuite 8 whilst NX2 crashes immediately I try to use it to open them.  There is nothing different about the way these files have been produced and as I have several thousand more to work on yet [2 weddings] I should like to find out what is going wrong. The only recourse I can see is to go back to my Neffs and start again - needless to say this is worrying - it takes long enough to get the images perfect without having to keep repeating the work.

  • Error 1334 during install

Recently I created an installation of Adobe Acrobat 7.05. I installed Adobe Acrobat 7.0 to an Admin Install Point. Then I updated the install point with the 7.05 update. Then I used the InstallShield Tuner 7.0 for Adobe Acrobat to create an install package for Adobe Acrobat 7.05. I did this same thing with Reader and Elements and they all worked just fine. However, during the installation of Adobe Acrobat 7.05, I receive the following error: "Error 1334: The file 'AcroIF.dll' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with the package." I looked in the Data1.cab file and AcroIF.dll is not in there. However, I cannot find this file anywere. I even searched on a system that has Acrobat 7.0 installed. I tried to search for this file on the Internet and came up with no results. Has anyone seen this error before? I cannot figure out how to fix this issue.

Listen Man this is how I solved my error 1334 acrobat update problem:
Before we start let's make sure that:
    a. PC is just started.
    b. Disable all Anti-Virus and Anti-Spy during the install process.
    c. delete all temp directory files by going to C:\Documents and Settings\[your login name]
\Local Settings\Temp. if this is difficult for you to do then download and install CCleaner
from http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ this will help you easily clear the temp
    dir.
now let's move on to INSTALLATION steps:
    1. Create a folder on drive C:\ and name it TEMP. Now we have C:\TEMP
    2. Download the update file and Save it to C:\TEMP
    3. Download and install the fine freeware 7z archiver from http://www.7-zip.org/
    4. Go to C:\TEMP and right-click on the update file for example it is
AdbeRdrUpd707_all_incr.exe THEN go to 7-zip in the menu then click on EXTRACT HERE. this
will extract the files of the installation package.
    5. Click on the file with the *.msp extenstion in my 7.07 update it was Rdr707.msp
now installation will take a while just wait for it to finish then retsart and voila.
I hope that was helpful to you and good luck.
Dont forget if all went fine to delete the C:\TEMP folder.
    Later.

    Photoshop CC

    Hi,
Have you ever uninstalled Photoshop CC and installed Photoshop CC 2014, or uninstalled Photoshop CC 2014 then installed Photoshop CC?
If that, please re-install you uninstalled Photoshop, and remove GuideGuide from Extension Manager before uninstall.
Another option is remove extension manager database file, then launch Extension Manager to install it.
    C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Extension Manager CC\Configuration\DB\ExMan.db (Windows)
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Configuration/DB/ExMan.db (MAC)
But please notice that all your previously installed extensions will not be shown in Extension Manager after you removed database file.

  • Error 1334 (in LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.1.1 setup) when launching VB6's IDE

What's going on here?  I have LabVIEW 7.0 and Visual Basic 6 installed on this Win-XP computer.  When I open VB6, I always get what looks like a Windows Installer error:
First, it asked me for the location of "lvruntimeeng.msi", which I located for it.  The next progress-window says:
    NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.11
Please wait while Windows configures NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.11
Finally it fails with this error-message window:
    NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.11
Error 1334.  The file 'NIMDFManifestFileId.53736431_DBEC_4582_B072_2F1F0A2C4EA6' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'lbruntimeeng_mft'.  This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
    [OK]
The two windows repeat twice each time I launch VB6's IDE, and that causes a long delay.  What can I do to prevent this error?
Message Edited by citizenDAK on 04-23-2008 01:34 PM

Yes it occurrs every time I launch VB6.
For a long time now, at least many months.  It's not every day that I need to open good old VB6.  I was hoping it'd just 'go away' but it hasn't.
I don't know what changes lead up to it.  LOTS of things have been updated, security-patched, etc...  (It is XP.)  I've even un-installed the runtime, then re-installed it when I kept getting the same prompt.  Don't have any idea why, I was hoping you could tell me from the specific file named in the error.  (Google didn't find it for me, and neither did searching ni.com)
p.s.,  Sorry I left out a decimal and copy/pasted it several times...  should've said "NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 7.1.1"

  • Receiving the error 1334 when applying the 10.1.3 update.

I had the same error code when updating on multiple systems on our network. Most (except for 1) of the computers are windows 7 systems. We're using Acrobat X Standard and I was updating from 10.0.0 to 10.1.3. I ran the update on 30 systems and only had issues on 5 of them (1 windows xp). The other 25 system were running windows xp. I can not find any reliable information online on what this error means or how to fix it. I did try a suggestion from another site to try each incremental update from 10.0.1 through 10.1.3, but this failed as well. These machines are spread between 4 different offices and I am hoping there is a solution besides reloading the software from scratch (the disks and product keys stay with the computers).
The specific error I receive says - "Error 1334. The file 'wcfirefoxextn.dll' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."
I have redownloaded the install package a few times and still received the error. I have also attempted to use the update function within acrobat x.

    Hi Swankydope,
This error generally occurs if the source (from where the installation is done) is in incorrect state. For example, if Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.0 is installed from a network location (through Admin Install Points - AIP), then Acrobat Patch 10.1.3 is being installed; but somehow the AIP placed at network is changed/corrupted, then there are chances that this error is seen.
Can you please describe the procedure by which these machines (having this issue) are configured, i.e.
    - How Adobe Acrobat was installed ?
    - How the patch is being applied ?
    - Are there any installation logs available ? (if not, logging can be enabled using : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223300 : See section : "Let me fix it myself")
    - Is the source (from where Adobe Acrobat 10.0 installation is done) in correct state ?
    - Has there been any clean-up activity done on the machines where this issue is seen ?
    Thanks,

  • AcrobatUpd11009.msp patch cannot be installed

    Hello all,
Another month, another Adobe patching headache! So I have read the Enterprise Administration guide many times, and I have been deploying and patching Adobe Flash,Reader and Acrobat for years now. Usually it goes smoothly, but eventually I always run into an issue. This time my problem is this:
Last month, I created a new Acrobat XI AIP from the bas 11.0 media. I patched this AIP to 11.0.07 (quarterly)
I then installed Acrobat on many clients using the command line option 'PATCH=AcrobatSecUpd11008.msp' to "chain" the OOC patch into my install, without actually applying the OOC to my AIP.
Today, when I try to apply the AcrobatUpd11009.msp to these same clients, I am getting the error in the log file:  "PATCH SEQUENCER: minor upgrade patch \\server\share\AcrobatUpd11009.msp is not applicable."And error in GUI: "The upgrade cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade".
Can someone out there tell me what I did wrong here? I believe I can uninstall 11.0.08 then run a full install of 11.0.09 from a new AIP, but that seems unnecessary.
    Thanks in advance!

Still no answer on this?    We have the same problem on all our computers.  Seem that after installing 11.08 update, something isn't updated because the 11.09 patch thinks it is still 11.07.   (yes, going to help/about shows version 11.08)
Here's what the patch spits out with the /lv switch:

When I Update My Nano, I get an error message, "file not found, cannot update iPod". I have looked through the manual and tried reinstalling the iTunes program but it still won't update my iPod with music or pictures. PLease help.

Try these basic troubleshooting steps one at a time.

  • Leopard cannot be installed on MacBook Air

I have not been able to install Leopard on my MacBook Air because of an error message "Mac OS X cannot be installed on "Macintosh HD", because this disk cannot be used to start up your computer." I have gotten this message when trying to install Leopard via remote disk. I used the disk utility to run a disk repair and no problems were found. I am not sure how to resolve this problem.

Do you have the Ethernet attachment for the MBA? If so, the Install will go much faster.
    1. Insert the Snow Leopard Install Disk into the remote computer (if the remote computer is not running Leopard, first insert the original disk that came with your MBA and install the Remote Disk app, if you haven't already).
    2. Attach by Ethernet cable.
3.Turn off Airport on both computers, and activate Remote Install OSX on both computers. This is found in Applications/Utilities. Follow the instructions.
    4. ON Restart hold down the Option key.
Sorry if you've done this already, but if you haven't, give it a try.
