Error 4 when trying to audio or video chat

Question

I have been trying to video chat with my dad in France. It worked perfectly for about 30 seconds and now every time we try to contact each other we get this communication error message (error _4).
We are both using AIM screen names.
We have tried changing the streaming speed in Quicktime to 1.5 mbps and reducing the bandwidth to 200 in ichat, as well as changing the port to 443... with no results.
I use a wireless G lynksis router with UPnP enabled and that is not blocking anonymous Pings as far as I can tell...
I don't even know which side the problem comes from.
I am copying part of the error log below, in case anyone can help us...

Error 4 (Remote IP Invalid) is specific to the far end (Buddy) using Leopard.
What it means is that the Buddy's iChat can see two Network connections.
There are several possibilities on how this has come about.
1) Connecting to the routing device with Airport and Ethernet.
1a) Sharing a Neighbours, connecting over WiFi and Ethernet to your own.
2) Having two routing devices that route and do DHCP (Issue IPs) to the LAN
This way the computer gets two IPs (It can only display one).
3) Having Internet Sharing On in Leopard.
This is normally used to share a Connection to another computer if you don't have a router and your Modem does not route.
3a) Using Parallels.
Installing this to run Windows turns On Internet Sharing AND creates two VNCs in System Preferences > Network. These need turning Off and Parallels set to get it's Own IP from the Routing device.
4) Certain MIMO type Routers (Multi-In, Multi-Out) cause this issue in the way they sub-split the Wifi Channels to attempt faster connection speeds.
