Error -50 When Trying to convert an mpeg

I brought in some videos from my camcorder into my computer. they are in mpeg format. They play fine in itunes, but when i select one and try to convert it to AAC (it does not give me an option to "conver to ipod," only "convert to aac") it gives me the converting icon in the Sources list but stops halfway and gives me "An error occured while converting "xxxxx." An unknown error occured (-50)." I am using iTunes 6.0.1.3 and have a new ipod video 60gb. Can someone please help me out?

anyone?

  • Error message when trying to convert powerpoint presentation to Adobe Acrobat PDF

When trying to create an Adobe Acrobat PDF file from Powerpoint (save as Adobe PDF from the Print menu), Automator gives the following error message: "an error occurred while saving the PDF file". Currently using version 14.4.6 of Microsoft Powerpoint for Mac, 11.0.09 Adobe Acrobat and OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 on iMac. Also had the same problem previously with Mavericks and Mountain Lion. The problem seems to be the Apple Automator not working correctly with the Acrobat interface. I create Acrobat PDF docs perfectly well on my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.7.5) and am scared to update to the latest version of OS X in case that also affects the ability to create PDFs.
I have tried using Apple's own PDF creator, and doing this by first creating PS files then converting to PDF, however, many bugs appear in the files, and they are enormous - around 5x the size of Acrobat PDFs, so this is not an option. I have also tried troubleshooting with Adobe to no avail.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Jane

    Hi star2111,
Please tell us a bit more about the error message that you're receiving, and where you're seeing it (in Adobe Reader, or the ExportPDF website?). It will also be helpful to know whether the error occur when just one file, or with any file that you try to convert.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
    Best,

  • Error 11556 when trying to convert songs to ringtones

i have bought a song from itunes to turn it into a ringtone for my iphone but when i try to convert the song into a ringtone i get this message. itunes could not connect to the itunes store, and unkown error occured (11556). i have heard you can't make ringtones in the UK for some stupid reason but i am in canada. please help

By any chance were these songs you are trying to turn into a ringtone. Did they come from the iTunes WiFi Store?
If so and the songs still exist in the iPhone. Try the following
    1. Delete the songs in iTunes and ensure they go into the trash.
    2. Go to iTunes Preferences - Devices - and Disable automatic sync for iPhones and iPods. Ensure you check this box.
    3. Now connect the iPhone. Then go to iTunes menu bar and click on File - Transfer purchases - Once the songs copy back from iPhone. Now go ahead and try and turn one into a ringtone.

  • Error -50 when trying to convert to 128 Kbps AAC

I try to convert all my files to 128 KBPs but about halfway through one of the songs gets an error (-50) and it wont go on. I wanted to do this because I heard it makes the songs take up less room and my iPods almost full. If it helps any I'm using the latest version of iTunes on Windows 7 65 bit.

Unless you happen to catch the name of the song it's syncing, I don't see how you are going to narrow this down.
While syncing, if you click on the ipod in the left list, you can make the little triangle point down. Then click on the word Music underneath that. (Not the main music library, in other words)
There will be little circles next to each song when that song is getting synced. There will also be the song name in the top oval. If you happen to catch that song's name, you could uncheck it and itunes won't try to sync it.

It is always difficult when you need to convert multiple xls files to pdf or multiple sheets to pdf. If you have a single file to convert then the best method would be to copy your data to doc file and then convert it into PDF . If you have multiple files to convert then it is really difficult to convert all the files manually. Then the better method would be to use converter tool to convert excel to pdf . By doing this you can convert many files in just few seconds.

  • When I click Convert to Word docx, I receive the error message -- "An error occured when trying to access the service." This has been happening for about a week.

Export PDF will not convert a pdf to MS Word. This failure has been going on for about a week. The error message is "An error occurred when trying to access the service." What can I do to get this working again?

    Hi,
It seems it was working fine earlier.
Is this happening with all files?
You can try using different browser.

    Hi there Katie,
I just checked your account, and see that it's active. Are you trying to sign in via Adobe Reader? If so, please choose Help > Check for Updates in Reader and make sure that it-s up-to-date. The most current version, 11.0.07, should alleviate that sign-in error.
