Error - 6753 and 10057 when trying to setup airport express in XP

I keep having this problem when i try and use my airport express. My PC can pick up the airport but when i try and click manual setup or continue i get error -6753 or 10057.
Please can someone help me out with a step by step procedure to set an express up with Windows XP

Unfortunately, things like this can happen when you try to use current software on a 6 year old product.
The solution is exactly as the message states:
You will need to use AirPort Utility 5.6 to update the firmware on the AirPort Extreme.
AirPort Utility 5.6 can be installed on a Mac running Leopard (10.5.x) or Snow Leopard (10.6.x) or a PC. If you do not have access to one of these devices, you might be able to take the AirPort Extreme to an Apple Store to have them update the firmware for you.
Once the firmware on the AirPort Extreme has been updated......then..... it will be possible to administer the AirPort Extreme using AirPort Utility 6.3.1.

Have you tried using a WEP password for your wireless network instead of a WPA one? That fixed it for me.

Error message when trying to setup Airport Extreme Unit - Please Help

I have never tried to set an Airport Extreme, but expected it to be relatively simple.....
I have been given an Airport Extreme unit (model A1143 - 802.11n) to use to set up a wireless network in my home. I am using the airport utility app to try and set this up but recieve the following error message:
This version of AirPort Utility requires this AirPort Extreme use firmware version 7.3.1 or later. Use AirPort Utility 5.6 to update this base station. AirPort Utility 5.6 is available at AirPort Service and Support.
I have downloaded the latest version of airport utility 6.3.1 as the old version would not install, but still i cannot get past the error message.
I am running a Macbook with OS X Lion 10.7.5 on it.
Could anyone help me with this issue and assist in getting me setup.

The only thing you can buy legitimately is the computer and the basic discs that are necessary to operate it. All Apple apps over and above this cannot be legally sold on. The machine should have been completely wiped and the original OS re-installed, bringing the machine to its original factory condition. iPhoto and Garage band were part of OS 10.6.8. Snow Leopard.
You must not use the original owner's ID.

Errormassage # 10057 when trying to access Airport Utility

I have an Airport Express working as a router to create a wireless network. I have access to internet and AE is working (green light is on). When I try to open Airport Utility and access by clicking on " continue" or the AE icon an error message 10057 is displayed saying than an error occoured when accessing to AE.
What is blocking access to AE?

I have been facing the same 10057 message and can not go on.
I'm trying to add AE (Airport ver 5.4.2) to the excisting network to stream the music to my amplifier.
I can sometimes find and connect to AE (green light) but getting them both in same network ends always to 10057 message.
I don't know if the IEv6 should be on or off but I have tried both - no help.
I have also tried to join the excisting network without any encryption but even that does not help.
I'm quite tired "hitting the head to the wall".
Is there anybody who could help?

A friend of mine gives me an AirPort Express which I intend to use at home to connect it to an audio device in my living-room. I’ve already have a wireless network based on a Linksys router, so the idea is to extend my actual network.
As the Airport was used, it has already a password, which my friend does not remember.
After reading the user manual, I’ve achieve to get into the configuration window, after I’ve made all the modifications (including the device password), but when saving I’ve get an error code -16.
Any help or advice?

First you cannot extend your linksys network with the apple expess. at least not in the typical definition of extending a network. you should first do a factory reset of the express to wipe out all prior settings.
you do this by unplugging the unit and holding down the reset button while you plug it back in. wait 10 to 15 seconds before releasing the reset button.
you'll then want to configure the airport express

You can set up the Express using AirPort Utility and wireless only, but you must first log on to the default network that the Expess provides.....Apple Network xxxxxx....and then open AirPort Utility.
No password is required.
For most users, the Ethernet cable method is simpler....if you have a spare Ethernet cable handy.

Errors -1450 and -10000 when trying to download music.

Can't contact Apple via Express Lane as the page has errors. Have tried everything! Please help! Error -1450 says it is an unknown error and -10000 says the file is corrupt. Have tried downloading again, and rebooting PC but nothing. Have reported a problem through Purchase History but have no way of contacting Apple support due to errors on the Express Lane website. The reason the burn button is not visible is because you cannot burn cds directly from the iPod as btabz said previously. It has nothing to do with importing songs from the iPod to iTunes (which incidentally, can be achieved in many ways).

Error when trying to connect Airport Express to Base Station

I came home today and the light was flashing amber on my Express. Tried to re-connect but keep getting this message: "There was an error setting up this wireless device for WDS. Quit Airport Utility and try again." I have, several times and it still won't connect. Got any ideas? My wireless router is the older Apple version flying saucer.
