Error applying patch for bug 4554072 (APEX 2.2.1 requirement)

All,
I am installing APEX 2.2.1 and is trying to apply the patch for bug 4554072. I have checked the OWA version:
SQL> select owa_util.get_version from dual;
GET_VERSION
10.1.2.0.0
And When I am trying to execute the privht8.sql script I get the following errors:

Any ideas? I am hoping that I am just tired and is doing something really stooopid ;-)

Andy,
From the README.txt included with that patch:
- If the PL/SQL Web Toolkit version is either 9.0.4 series or 10.1.2 series and
the database version is higher than 8.1.7.4
SQL> @904x_1012x/privht.sql
SQL> exit
I’m assuming your database version is higher than 8.1.7.4. If so, then you need to run privht.sql and not privht8.sql.

    I have a question about the following patch that I "already applied" when I upgraded APEX 2.0.0 to 2.2.0. Do I need to apply the patch again when I upgrade APEX from 2.2.0 to 3.0? The "Oracle HTTP Server" nls_lang parameter in the DAD = American_America.AL32UTF8 and the "database" nls_characterset = WE8MSWIN1252.
    Patch for Bug 4554072:SUPPRESS CONTENT-LENGTH IF DAD CHARSET <> DB CHARSET

    Hello,
    Patch for Bug 4554072 should be applied to specific versions of the PL/SQL Web Toolkit. As part of installing/upgrading to APEX 3.0 you need to install (have) PL/SQL Web Toolkit version 10.1.2.0.6, which is part of the APEX 3.0 distribution files. This version doesn't need the patch.

  • Apply patch for 10g

    Hi, Good morning:
    I am trying to apply patch for my newly installed Oracle10.2.0.1, I downloaded the Opatch utility and extracted it directly into oracle_home, and then I downloaded the latest patch 5500927 and extracted into oracle_home/opatch....
    Now, if I do ' opatch inventory ' under oracle_home/optach, it will give
    D:\Oracle10g\OPatch>opatch lsinventory
    The system cannot find the file specified.
    Java could not be located. OPatch cannot proceed!
    OPatch failed with error code = 1
    If I do 'opatch lsinventory ' under oracle_home/opatch/5500927 it will give :
    D:\Oracle10g\OPatch>cd 5500927
    D:\Oracle10g\OPatch\5500927>opatch lsinventory
    'opatch' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.
    I know I have JVM in my machine, and the JDK is version 1.4...
    Can anyone help me ? what did I do wrong?
    Thanks a lot.
    Wendy

    what a sec..the home does not look right, did you change it on installation?
    set oracle_home=d:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1
    set oracle_sid=your_sid
    opatch lsinventory
    if that doesn't work, look at your PATH, see what is going on there
    you might want to put the "opatch" sub-dir into your path..or create a couple of CMD files to set it all the time.

  • Patch for Bug ID  4755634

    Hello,
    From where can I download patch for Bug ID 4755634 .
    Please provide us with a download link.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Rupesh

    Hi,
    My program was crashing on the Solaris 10 platform. I searched on Solaris forum and found that it was related to bug with Bug ID 4755634.
    One such suggestion I found at forum was following at
    http://forums.sun.comthread.jspa?messageID=10848555
    ============================
    There doesn't appear to be a patch available.
    I think its fixed in opensolaris.
    I suggest you use the workaround mentioned in the bug report
    Work Around:
    Insert
    mallopt(M_KEEP, 1);
    before any memory operations
    ==============================
    I applied the workaround that is used mallopt(M_KEEP , 1); before memory operations and the code is working fine.
    As of now is this the only solution or do we have any fix for this.
    Regards,
    Rajendra

  • 1328 Error applying patch to [filename].

    A file has changed or is missing. Uninstall and reinstall the program.
    I have tried this solution twice and it did not resolve the issue.

    Hi,
    I have tried all of your suggestions but I still have the issue with Error 1328 and the following message:
    “Error applying patch to file D:\Config.Msi\PT78AF.tmp. It has probably been updated by other means and no longer can it be modified by this patch”. The Patch seems to update other files successfully, so is this an issue if this does not update this file and as previously stated I cannot find the file that it refers to on either drives (C:\ or D:\).

  • Applying  patch for MDM5.5 SP4 to SP5

    Hi,
    We have a discovery system with MDM 5.5 version having patch level SP4.
    Now we want to apply patch SP5.
    can anybody tell me the step by step procedure for applying patch for MDM.
    Regards
    Anil D

    Hi Dasari
    You can find the upgrade guide here:
    https://service.sap.com/installmdm   ->  Previous Releases (ZIP Files) -> MDM 5.5 SP05 - Planning & Installation Guides -> MDM 5.5 SP05 - Upgrade Guide.pdf
    Please also check the release note: 1025897 - MDM 5.5 SP05 Release
    Basically you will have to:
    - stop User activity, archive your repositories, backup the binaries, stop all mdm processes
    - uninstall SP04, install SP05 (including the gui client components)
    - restart mdm and upgrade the repostories with the console
    - depending on your installation, update other compenents (java api in EP...)
    I suggest you go to the most recent SP05 version, there are quite a few patches and hotfixes for SP05. BTW SP06 is already available as well, we will be moving to SP06 pretty soon.
    Regards
    Michael
