Error during File upload into BI IP

Hi,
I have followed the steps outlined in the How-to Guide for loading files into BI-IP (NEtweaver) as posted by Marc. When I execute the same, I get the following error:
System error in program CL_RSR_FIPT_VAL2SID_PREFETCH and form BEFORE_TRANSFORM-01- (see long text).
I am not sure why this is happening and also about what should be done! Any ideas are most welcome!

Please ensure you are on SP 15 patch level , else if you are on SP 14 then apply note 1070655 - Termination msg CL_RSPLFR_CONTROLLER =>GET_READ_WRITE_PROVIDS
b] Apply Correction Instruction 566059 [i.e: in Object - CL_RSPLFR_CONTROLLER GET_READ_WRITE_PROVIDS,
delete the block: l_r_alvl = cl_rspls_alvl=>factory( i_aggrlevel = p_infoprov ).
and insert block - l_r_alvl = cl_rspls_alvl=>factory( i_aggrlevel = i_infoprov ).
Apart from this ensure at Planning function level create the rows as like in the flat file. Also give correct parameters to the skip header and other functions.

I just figured out the issue with adding the file. I went in this direction, and my code has progressed forward.

Error "A web exception has occurred during file upload" when trying to import ESXi image file into Update Manager

I'm encountering this error and not sure how to fix, I'm quite new to vCenter so please bear with me.
I'm trying out vCenter 5.1 with Update Manager 5.1 right now. No license key has been entered and I still have 50 odd days to try it out.
2 ESXi hosts are being managed by this vCenter, and they're both running ESXi 4.0
I'm looking to use Update Manager to try to upgrade the ESXi 4.0 hosts to ESXi 5.1
I downloaded the image file VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.1.0-799735.iso from VMWare website, and is looking to import it using the Update Manager so I can update the ESXi hosts, but I keep on getting the error:
File name: VMware-VIMSetup-all-5.1.0-799735.iso
Failed to transfer data
Error was: A web exception has occurred during file upload
I tried importing it by using vSphere client to connect to vCenter server both remotely and locally, with firewall disabled.

I've disabled firewall, and there is no anti-virus program on the server. I've also restarted the machine several times, to no avail, I didn't reinstall update manager because the whole Windows and VCenter installations are clean from scratch.
I logged into the vSphere Client using Active Directory credentials, and I've made all Domain Admins (which my account is a member of) part of the administrator group on the vCenter server. I can't log in using admin@System-Domain because it tells me I don't have permissions for it, I still haven't really had the chance to figure out why that is and not sure if that makes a difference.
Also, I'm fairly certain I'm using the right image file, as I've burned some DVD's used that image file to upgrade some other ESXi hosts. Unless there's a special image file I need to download?
I'm at lost on what I can do to make it work. Please advise.

The ISO file you mentioned is the one for vCenter Server. What you need is the "VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.1.0-799733.x86_64.iso" (or VMware-VMvisor-Installer-201210001-838463.x86_64.iso) for the ESXi host.

PO attachment error - Read error during PC upload

Hi Gurus,
I am getting the error when I am trying to attach any file in ME22N, by clicking the services for object button, create attachment, and select the attachment.
The error message is "Read error during PC upload" and "The attachemnt has not been created".
The system is upgraded to ECC 6 last year and have not tried this function before.

They are not using any interfaces (EDI), no idocs. They are using either fax or email and post modes only.
After saving the PO, we can able to attach the documents by clicking the services for object button in ME22N. But I am not able to attach the document to PO.

Read Error During PC Upload

Hi Experts,
When I attempt to attach a document to a PO (ME21N/ME22N) I get an error message say:
Read Error During PC Upload : Include File in PC Application
The funny thing is, some users can make attachments, others cannot. Is this a profile or authorization issue?

Hi Steven,
You cannot attach a file in ME21N trxn using Services for Object. For this you have to come out of Trxn ME21N after saving Po and again go to ME22N trxn code and in Menu System - Select Services for Object and Attach your File.
Be sure the File is not in use and closed.

Should be easy. Try this...
In Thumbnails view, click the little triangle (pointing downward) in the lower-right corner of the asset you want to share.
In the blue icon bar that appears, click the Share icon (the third icon from the left, just right of the trash icon). The Share dialog should pop up.
In the Share dialog, enter the email address of the person with whom you want to share the asset, then click the Send Email button - they'll receive an email with a link to your asset. OR
You can also copy a link to the asset and then paste that into your own email client if you prefer. To do that, click the Link icon (looks like a "chain", and is to the right of the email "envelope" icon) - then click the Copy Link button.
Note that the Share options won't be available if your asset is set to "Private" - you can control whether an asset can be viewed (or downloaded) by others by clicking the Public/Private control (green or red "lock" icon).
You can also access the same Share controls if you click on the file to see it one-up (you can do this from either Thumbnails view or List view); click the Share icon near the upper right corner of the browser window (to the right of the asset name).

Threading problem during File Upload with Apache faces upload tag

First I am going to tell you "My Understanding of how JSF Apache Upload works, Correct me if i am wrong".
1) Restores View (to show Input box and Browse button to facilitate users to select a file for upload)
2) Translates Request Parameters to Component Values (Creates equivalent components to update them with request values).
3) Validates Input(Checks to see whether the User has input the correct file)
4) Updates Backing Bean or Model to reflect the values.
5) Renders response to user.
I am uploading huge files of sizes 400MB and above with the help of JSF apache extensions tag

The upload process is working perfectly fine.
Now coming to the problem:
Suppose one user is logging into the application & uploading say 400MB of files.
Until these files are linked to the model objects as my understanding of step 2, if second user tries to open the application he gets stuck with the loading page.
The page gets loaded only after the request files are linked to the component values(Step 2 above) and updates the backing bean's values.
I don't see any error in the logs. User is getting stuck. The user is getting stuck only when uploading the files. The other operations like searching are not blocking any other activities performed by the user.
Server used: IBM Application Server V6.0. CPU is normal, memory usage is normal.

I want to upload the data into the Planning Book through "Upload Data" in Interactive Demand Planning. While saving data it is saving perfectly in .CSV file. While i made some changes in the Csv file and i have tried to load the data again into the Planning Book, the values are not coming perfectly. The period values are distributing to other periods.
For Ex:

I have saved the data in a .csv file and made changes to the values like 613,457 and 756,460 like that and saved the changes. But while coming into the Planning Book it is coming like this

but i need to shoe the values as like as i uploaded data.
Any one pl suggest me what are the changes/ prereuisites i have to take in this particular scenario.In the mean time it is very urgent.

You mentioned that "I made some changes in the CSV file." in your first message. What software did you use? A text editor? A spreadsheet program? A database program?
I usually inspect the downloaded file first using Microsoft Notepad or similar. See what character is being used as the delimiter, and see what characters (if any) are being used to indicate a string field. This format will probably be what SAP will expect during the upload.
I usually edit CSV files in Microsoft Excel if they are not too big.
If you are using Excel, you should also heed the advice of Sean Mawhorter. Make sure your version of Excel is using the proper delimiter when it exports to CSV. Various versions commonly found in Europe use "." as default. For that matter, SAP may be expecting something other than a comma as a delimiter. There is no universally accepted industry standard for CSV format.
Once you have exported to CSV, again inspect the file to ensure that the format matches the downloaded format.

Pls help, (Access is denied) error when file upload to a local directory

Hi, I've been stuck on this for the past few days and I am quite new at developing web application.
Here is the problem that I am having, I don't know why it keeps on saying "access is denied" when I can see that the file is uploaded to the directory. I am developing a JSP page file upload using Jakarta Fileupload v1.2. However, every time when I try to upload a file to a local path (e:\temp) on the server I keep getting this problem. I even try looking into the server.policy file on glassfish but no luck, your help is appreciated thanks

Typically in a Web Container, applications are deployed to a folder called webapps (this is the case in Tomcat, I'm not sure about Glassfish)
So the directory structure is something like C:/Tomcat/webapps/MyApplication/other folders......
When you upload a file , you normally can upload it only to a folder under your application and not to a folder outside the application.
First you can try to upload the file to a folder under the webapp and not outside the webapp, once you get that to work --- then internally in the Servlet you can write code to save the file to any directory on the server, but the Servlet must be located on the server.

Error on File upload. Error processing wwv_flow.accept.

Hi,
I'm developing an application to upload and download files using Oracle XE 10g and APEX 3.2.0.00.27 on OS Windows XP.
The file upload page is very simple: one file browse item, a submit button and a report based on the wwv_flow_files table.... and an extra button to save the uploaded files in the DB.
Sometimes (almost everytime) when I press the submit button, the wwv_flow.accept process fails and I'm redirected to a page saying Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.
I'm forced to refresh the page and then I get the following message:
Expecting p_company or wwv_flow_company cookie to contain security group id of application owner.
Error ERR-7621 Could not determine workspace for application (:) on application accept.
I recreated the same page in the apex.oracle.com environment and it works, but it fails in my local environment.
I have read some posts int his forum, but I haven't found an answer yet.
Please help!!!

Validation error after File upload

HI,
I am using a file upload functionality in OAF page.
When i browse for the required excel file and click on browse, the data is popluated on the oaf page.
I have 2 lov fields on page - say a & B.
B is a dependent LOV on A.
I have a validate button on my page which gets enabled only after file upload and validates if the data is correct or not.
The issue is like if i am having value in upload file for A as 1 and for B as 1800, but my LOV B has 2 values 1800 & 1800-01 for LOV A = 1, it gives me an error at that LOV "Select a Valid Value". If i open the LOV B window and select 1800 from it the data is correctly validated without any error.
Please help me that how can i rectify this error i.e. it should validate the data corrrectly if i pass the value 1800 to it thru excel sheet.

See take an example of Employee name LOV .We know for every employee a unique emp Id is related to it.So if two person are having same name also then also their ID is different.In such cases , while creating LOV we create a FormValue for EmpID .Its not visible on Page but while validating the page formValues are also considered thereby it doesnot cause invalid value error...
In Your case, what you can do is the way you are populating the LOV field you can populate this FormValue to remove the Error.

Error in file upload. There is not enough space in the file system

Hi ,
Please verify on the space in temporary directory which is used on server side (on the engine where this webdynpro java application is running)
When file is up loaded WD java runtime uses temporary directory of Java runtime to store/read this data .
Clear all temporary directory folders/check whether directory has Read/Write permission(OS level ) assigned to it .
