Please help. The problem does not occur with Integrated WLS. I think the config scripts are correctly running from JDev.

Hi,
It's not easy to tell what's wrong with your example.
Maybe you could send me a zip and I'll check when I have some time.
By the way, you're asking a question about the lookup of an EJB3, I wrote an article that covers that topic.
It should give you some interesting input.

  • Error during JNDI lookup Accessing Remote EJB (access to web service restricted using declarative security model)

    Hello everyone,
    I developed a Web Service prototype accessing remote EJB using the EJB
    control with special syntax in the jndi-name attribute: @jws:ejb
    home-jndi-name="t3://10.10.245.70:7131/AccountDelegatorEJB"
    Everything works fine, but I get an error when I restrict access to my web
    service with a declarative security model by implementing steps provided in
    help doc:
    - Define the web resource you wish to protect
    - Define which security role is required to access the web resource
    - Define which users are granted the required security role
    - Configure WebLogic Server security for my web service(Compatibility
    Security/Users)
    I launch the service by entering the address in a web browser. When prompted
    to accept the digital certificate, click Yes, when prompted for network
    authentication information, enter username and password, navigate to the
    Test Form tab of Test View, invoke the method by clicking the button and I
    get the following exception:

    I have a simple Hello method as well in my WebService (which is also
    restricted) and it works fine, but remote EJB access doesn't. I tested my
    prototype on Weblogic 7.2 and 8.1 platforms - same result.
    Is that a bug or I am missing some additional configuration in order to get
    that working. Has anyone seen similar behavior? Is there a known resolution?
    Or a suggested way to work around the problem?
    Thank you.

    Andre,
    It would be best if this issue is handled as an Eval Support case. Please
    BEA Customer Support at http://support.beasys.com along with the required
    files, and request that an Eval support case be created for this issue.

    Note: inter-domain communication is configured properly. The Web Service to

    Andre,
    It seems you are using the URL
    jndi:t3://secuser1:[email protected]:7131/AccountDelegatorEJB
    whereas you should not be specifying the "t3:" protocol.
    The URL should be like
    jndi://secuser1:[email protected]:7131/AccountDelegatorEJB
    Please do let me know if you see any issues with this.
    Note that this will only allow you to access remote EJBs in the same WLS
    domain. For accessing EJBs on another domain, you need to configure
    inter-domain communication by
    following a few simple steps as mentioned at
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/ConsoleHelp/jta.html#1106135. This link has
    been provided in the EJB Control Workshop documentation.

    Andre,
    Can you try using the following url with username and password
    jndi://username:password@host:7001/my.resource.jndi.object ?
    once you add webapp level security, the authenticated is the user who
    invokes the EJB.

    CreatingANewEJBControl.html?skipReload=true

  • Servlet jndi lookup to remote EJB, servlet and EJB not in the same application

    Hi,
    I think that the subject explain my problem.
    I have Oracle IAS9i 9.0.2.0.0, and JDeveloper 9.0.2.829
    I have deployed and EJB in IAS9i and i want to use from the developer machines, which have JDeveloper.
    how can i to do remote calls from JDeveloper?.
    I have modifed the orion-application.xml, and added remote=true.
    I have modifed the rmi.xml and added the hosts where the Jdeveloper placed.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks and cheers
    P.D The app server and jdeveloper are in the same net.
    if it is posible replys me to [email protected] too.

    Steps to access a remote EJB from within OC4J
    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
    1) Deploy EJB application (ApplicationRemote) to remote container (REMOTE)
    "java -jar admin.jar -deploy ormi://REMOTE.hostname:REMOTE.port REMOTE.username REMOTE.password -deploy -file ApplicationRemote.ear
    -deploymentName ApplicationRemote"
    2) Ensure that local application (ApplicationLocal) has ejb-ref tags for remote EJBs accessed (in web.xml or ejb-jar.xml)
    3) Deploy to local container (LOCAL) an empty application (ApplicationEmpty) with the same name as the remote application (ApplicationRemote)
    "java -jar admin.jar -deploy ormi://LOCAL.hostname:LOCAL.port LOCAL.username LOCAL.password -deploy -file ApplicationEmpty.ear -deploymentName
    ApplicationRemote"
    5) Deploy local application (ApplicationLocal) to local container (LOCAL)
    "java -jar admin.jar -deploy ormi://LOCAL.hostname:LOCAL.port LOCAL.username LOCAL.password -deploy -file ApplicationLocal.ear -deploymentName
    ApplicationLocal"
    4)Restart local container
    ApplicationEmpty should consist of just an application.xml file - no modules. The same file can be deployed with different application names for all the remote
    applications that must be accessed.
    ApplicationLocal should access the remote EJB by using the following JNDI properties
    java.naming.factory.initial = "com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory"
    java.naming.provider.url = "ormi://REMOTE.hostname:REMOTE.port/ApplicationRemote"
    java.naming.security.principal = "REMOTE.username"
    java.naming.security.credentials = "REMOTE.password"

    java -jar mapbuilder.jar -noconnect
    Joao

  • Error during EAR deployment with EJB and web service

    I created a simple stateless EJB with one method called echo that returns a string.  I created a web service using the wizard, did a build and deployed.  The deployment did not report an error, but the logs in the visual administrator showed the follwoing message, and the web service did NOT deploy.
    Am I missing something related to EJB and web service security?
    PLEASE HELP ME.

  • Assertion Error while connecting to Remote EJB in WebLogic

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me with thie error.
    Iam getting the following error when Iam trying to connect to to a EJB running on Weblogic .
    What might be the possible causes.
    This the code where Iam getting the error.
    String custData;
    com.o2.registration.adapter.CompanionAdapter stubCustomer = (com.o2.registration.adapter.CompanionAdapter) getRemoteInterface();
    custData = stubCustomer.getUserDetails(customerNumber, username, domain);
    I cannot use the serial version UID since the environments might change from development to test to production.
    I tried to google the error.,but I have not got any satisfactory answers. Can anyone possbily give me all the possible reasons that might cause this error.
    getUserDetails() is in CompanionAdpater.jar file.

  • Error in downloading jars through jnlp from Oracle 10.1.3 App Server

    I am working on migrating an application (containing two WARs) from Resin servlet server to Oracle 10.1.3 App Server. The migration was unit tested successfully. One of the WARs was implemented as a web service that downloaded JARs to the client PC through jnlp. When I tried to combine the two WARs into one (application) WAR, some of the JARs failed to download with an error message stating that they were "corrupted". 5 of the 6 "corrupted" contain native code, although two other native code JARs were able to download successfully.
    Most of the time the jnlp failure was accompanied with this error: WARNING: Exception returned by remote server: {0}

    Why is the jnlp failing when the WARs are part of the (main) application, but OK when it is part of a web service WAR? How can I overcome this problem?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Marc ,
    Thanks for your reply.....
    Did you mentioning the script (upgrade_10131_
    10133_oracle.sql) in the orabpel. I had run this script after applying the patch.
    Still iam facing the same issue.
    what need to be done?
    Could you please help me on this, because I need to do the Fault Handling Framework in BPEL and so i need the faultpolicy folder to be present.
    Since I got the folder by applying the patch, but what happend is when i try to check out for the activity status in the BPEL Console Activity tab it is showing the error as mentioned earlier. Any problem with patch implementation or any bug is there. So far i done the patch installation successfully without error and i upgraded the orabpel schema using the mentioned script also. Any other things i need to do?
    Regards,
    Ashok.

The services ear is deployed to one cluster, and the application to another cluster. Remote EJB calls are made from the application to the services. Hi,
    As u are migrating from WebLogic 11g to WebLogic 10gR3 Portal so it will be best if you can generate the Artifacts like Stubs...etc using APPC compiler of WebLogic 10gR3 Portal.
    Then deploy the EAR/WAR on WebLogic 10gR3 Portal Server. http://jaysensharma.wordpress.com/2010/02/08/weblogic-specific-appc-ant-task/

    I assume here that your application is deployed on a different physical machine of where LCES is deployed and running.
    Do the following test:
    - Say that LCES is deployed on machine1 and your application is deployed on machine2. Ping machine1 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine1 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.
    - Ping machine2 from machine1 and note the ip address.
    - Ping machine2 from machine2 and note the ip address.
    The two pings should match.
    Usually this kind of error would happen if your servers have internal and external ip addresses.

  • Urgent!! Errors during one EJB calling other EJB in OAS

    Hi, I got the following errors when I try to
    use one Session EJB to call another Session EJB in OAS 4.0.8.1, the EJB is deployed to OAS from JDeveloper 3.0. The code I used to call other EJB is the same as the code in client side:
    public String callAnotherEJB(String strXML)
    throws RemoteException, CreateException {
    String ejbUrl = "oas://scott:8889/Mapping3/Mapping3";
    String result;
    // Setup the environment
    Hashtable environment = new Hashtable();
    // Turn JNDI on to OAS
    environment.put(javax.naming.Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "oracle.oas.naming.jndi.RemoteInitCtxFactory");
    // Lookup the URL
    Mapping3Home homeInterface = null;
    try {
    Context ic = new InitialContext(environment);
    homeInterface = (Mapping3Home)javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject.narrow(ic.lookup(ejbUrl), Mapping3Home.class);;
    result = remoteInterface.responseEJBCall(strXML);
    return result;
    catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    return "error during invoking responseEJBCall: "+e.getMessage();
    =====
    The error is as follows:

    Using arrays instead of vectors, the Oracle WSDL toolkit was able to generate stubs/serializers for all my objects. Thanks for the tip! :)
    For future reference though, is there any way at all for the Oracle WSDL toolkit to auto-generate stubs/serializers for objects wrapped inside a Vector?

  • Error acceessing remote EJB 2.0 from OSB

    Hi All,
    I am trying to access a remote EJB(2.0) from OSB. When i am trying to connect to the EJB i am getting this error.
    "java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect; No available router to destination"
    I have built the WSDl based on the client jar that is provided and then configured the JNDI Provider. Then I provided the endpoint EJB URL in the following format.
    ejb:JNDIProviderName:ConnectionfactoryName:JNDIName.
    Let me know if i have missed out any configuration in order to access EJB. Your help is appreciated as we are struck in SIT.
    Thanks,
    B
    .

    Strange question. If you know EJB 2 and you know EJB 3, you should be able to answer this question yourself. If you don't know one of the two, you shouldn't be asking this question but hitting the books.
    As for the errors you are getting, the error couldn't be more clear:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/fammllc/exceptions/LubeNominationExceptionIt doesn't even have something to do with EJBs, its a simple case of class not found. The warning is more odd as the EJB 3 spec defines that transactions should default to REQUIRED, not "NOT_SUPPORTED". If EJB 3 would really be in play here, you wouldn't be getting this warning. Its probably a case of "read the manual" - the manual of whatever container you are using (I'm guessing Weblogic, which has its own forum here: https://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=193).
