Error: File Server Input is down while Export/Import the Unv from Desktop C

Hi All,
We have SAP BI 4.0 in Linux and installed the client components in Desktop. when we try to Import/Export the Universe to repository we are getting the Error: File Server Input is down and it's same with Webi Rich also.
We are suspecting the firewall is stopping the Data packets because the person who is working in the client environment is able to do these without any issues.
The main issue with PORTS and we are not at all sure which ports are required to be open.
If anyone has solution please let us help.

They use the ports you assigned during installation.
Tomcat ports are shown in tomcat's server.xml
The port set for CMS are in CMC > servers>properties of the CMS server.
The rest - simple follow instructions in the admin guide and you'll be OK.

Export import the conf from 1 to a 2nd WLC?

Hello i have now 2 WLC, 1 will be backup of the other (1 in the US, the other in europe, both are connected in the network), same version both of them, i need to have the exact same config on each of them.
The one in europe is in prod since few years, the one in the US is the new one (not configured yet).
What is the best way? --> export the conf of the one in prod, and reimport it on the backup one... then change IP@... ? is it the best way to do?

I prefer making a backup and editing the backup and uploading to the new WLC. Sometimes the upload will fail and you will have to edit more than the hostname and the IP's. You will get an error saying the backup failed because of an encryption. The fix is that you might have to delete the usernames and manually enter those in the configuration without being encrypted. This has been something I have had to do recently with the later code versions
Also you need to make sure you have a trailing white space at the end of each command or else that command will not take.
If this becomes painful and the code just doesn't upload without an error. Then configure it manually and then when you are done, compare the backup images on both WLC's to make sure you have everything.
Just to note, I never design a backup that would cross any bug body of water. Your best bet is to have two in Europe and two WLC's in the US. You can get an HA sku WLC for cheap and use AP SSO or N+1. These HA sku WLC provide redundancy and are cheaper because they don't require you to purchase licenses.

I am getting the following error message "An Error has occurred: File Repository server input is down" when try to upload exel or any other document in repository using . NET Infoview. Even with the Admin account.
and
If i try the same steps from Java Infoview i am able to upload the excel.
I guess some issue with IIS .

BO XI 3.1 SP3
IIS 7
Windows server 2008.

"error: out of disk space message" while exporting Quick time file

Got an "error: out of disk space message" while exporting a 94min hdv project to the quicktime conversion (format:QT mvie, use mose recent settings / Options-dv/dvcpro -ntsc, size-dimensions compressor native) I also tried using compressor to creat a QT movie and got same error message. It gives me an estimate of 4-6 hrs, runs and at the end of 4hrs it gives me the error message. It is a large project, transitions filters 4+vid tracks 9 audio tracks, but Im using a dual4core, 4 gigs of ram.
Is this a ram or hard drive problem. I asume its the disk but cant imagine Im running out of space.
I've tried sending it to the "hard drive bay 1" with 30 free gigs and to the "hard drive bay2" which has 22 gigs open. can't imagine we are making a file bigger than that. I'm thinking about sending it to an external drive with 60 gigs free.
Any help would be great since We have our sound mixer waiting for this as a video reference. Also trying to export OMF files but they are greater than 2 gigs so we're gonna try and split the track up with 4 tracks, 3 tracks & 2 tracks. This has been over a years worth of work and our sound mixing is the last thing to do. Sounds like you're getting perilously low on drive space, you should always leave about 15% free on a drive for the OS to do it's thing. Either backup and clear some room, or get another drive.

Error while exporting/transporting the Business system from Dev to Quality

We are getting the following error whil exporting/trsnporting the Business system from development(SLD) env to quality(SLD) environment. The error is

Is there any error message in the event log? Even with RAID and redundancy implemented in your system, data corruption risks still exist. Please refer to the article below about Reliability and Risk Mitigations to troubleshoot the issue:

After Using the AGO function data in the Time series metric(Month Ago Revenue) was null always. I updated the DB features in RPD physical layers by selecting support for time series functions.

I know that there is no relation between "SampleApp Lite"."D3 Orders (Facts Attributes)"."Order Date", "SampleApp Lite"."D0 Time"."Calendar Date", it's also the same thing in my own RPD.
But as it's working with the 11.1.1.6.2 BP1 version I don't understand why it's not working with 11.1.1.6.9.
Implicit fact column is not set on my repository, but I don't have any request with only dimensional column, so if my understanding is correct I don't need to use it. Also, the problem appears during the check of the repository not in answers.

We have implemented change request and upgraded for SP 15 support pack
when the user tries to import through urgent correction by selecting pass correction to test the TP is not getting imported, when i checked the log it is saying
System cancel RFC destination SM_BQ2CLNT100_TRUSTED, Call TMW_SET_PROJECT_SWITCHES: No authorization to logon as trusted system (Trust ed RC=2).
You cannot import any requests for project BD2_P00001 at the moment
Then i went to show project status switches and changed as "Request can be imported" from " request cannot be imported", then the user is able to import the UC from the task list,
But ideally the status switches should be " request cannot be imported" so that the TP can be imported only through change request.
kindly give ur inputs as it is very urgent.

Hi Jith,
First of all try to consolidate all your objects in a single TR and then move to Q from D.
In this case check for the list of objects that you have in your TRs. If TR 3 have all the Objects that were in TR1, TR2, then transporting TR3 alone will work.
Also, you can find the information related to the elements that were missed in your TR1,TR2 by following process.
1. Go to your transport Logs and then to the entries marked as Error.
2. There you will find the Query Element Ids, copy them
3. Now, go to Table(Se16) RSZELTDIR, there enter those query elements.
Now, you can able to find the elements that you have missed in your TRs. Hope this helps you.

Hold down the Option key while you boot your Mac. Then, it should show you a selection of devices. Click your flash drive and it will boot from that.

Error in importing the tables from database

while importing the table from the metada by using OCI call 10g/11g i am getting the below exception:

Suggestion needed in export/import ODI topology from one machine to other

Hi,
I am trying to export all ODI topologies from one machine(A) to other machine(B).Can I export/import whole topology.While doing the same whether created repositories and existing topolgy in machine (B) would be replaced.I don't want to get the existing things in machine(B) to be replaced.Can anyone suggest on this?

you can always select the Import Mode as 'INSERT' if you don't want anything to be overwritten. Yes, you can export/import the topology, logical topology, execution environment by using the options in the Topology tab(top right corner dropdown).
