Hi garava,
Thanks for the reply.I had followed the same path while creating Persistence Unit.I googled this error & I found a solution where I need to set the NativeLibraryPathPrefix in my JVM.
For this I went to Servers->Glassfish V2 -> JVM-> .There I set NativeLibraryPathPrefix = D:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\BIN.
It's working now.But I can't understand what was the problem & how it got solved.
One more issue ,suppose tom I am facing the same problem for some other XYZ database.Do I need to change this path again for that database.What this path exactly means.I read it looks for "db2jcc2.dll" in this path.What is the need of this dll if I am including jar files during creation of persistence Unit.
Please help.Thanks in advance.

    Hi again,
    seems like I found the cause of the problem; the mysql system variable wait_timeout was set to 28800 (8 hours) which caused the server to stop responding. What I did is simply set it to 604800 (equals a week) and hope that it will work, which I will find out tomorrow morning...

    I'm new to Java and GlassFish and I get the same error message when trying to ping my created data pool for MySQL. Inside the NetBeans IDE running Java Swing Applications + MySQL connection via JDBC, it works fine (Classpath settings ok). I set the same path to the JVM settings in Glassfish but every time I try to ping it the mentioned error occurs. Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    I am trying to use an outbound jdbc eway to do a select, but the connection is not being established
    Here is the log error,
    java.sql.SQLException: Error in allocating a connection. Cause: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
    And here are the config settings from the log

    setPassword = [xxxxx]
    setDriverProperties = [setURL#jdbc:sqlserver://localhost:1433;databaseName=eamh;]
    setDatabaseName = [eamh]
    setClassName = [com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver]
    Any idea what is wrong?

    The driver classname is not correct. You need to use com.SeeBeyond.sqlserver.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDataSource.
    Let me know if this works.

    has... The best thing is to step back to a simpler environment. Can you try
    connecting to DB2 with a simple program like utils.dbping? Please look at our
    driver docs for the DB2 driver, because there are several variations in connect
    properties depending on the type of DB2 you are connecting to...

  • Apple Mail The server error encountered was: The connection to the server "

    I have had my apple mail set up for some time now, through Gmail, and it has worked fine. I recently moved into a college dorm and now my apple mail gives me this error message
    There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Check the settings for account "POP Account" or try again.
    The server error encountered was: The connection to the server "pop.gmail.com" on port 995 timed out.
    I've tried everything I could think to try, including taking the SSL off, restarting, quitting apple mail, redoing all the settings, and nothing seems to be helping me connect. I did the connectivity test and it says it's connected to the internet, it's just not getting the mail from my Gmail account. Thanks,
    Aaron

    What are the settings for both your Incoming and Outgoing servers, including port number, authentication method, and whether or not SSL is enabled for both?
    Also, it's possible your college is blocking traffiic from Google, so you might try changing the DNS Servers by going to System Preferences > Network > Configure > TCP/IP and enter these two:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
    then click Apply Now, quit System Preferences and restart Mail and any other Internet applications you were running. Check to see if Mail still gives you problems.

    Setting up a new iMac.
    Migration Assistant was aborted during setup and a normal setup was completed.
    Then ran Migration Assistant from the newly setup account.

    Renamed "user" to a new name, renamed the home folder to a new name following these instructions: OS X: How to change your account name or home directory name
    Delete the account we originally created, so just have one account with the name we want and all the data, email. Works fine.
    Sign into the App Store with the account we share for purchases.
    Now, the problem:
    Go to System Preferences to setup iCloud with a new Apple ID
    Get this error: "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server."

    Its a late response... but if someone gets the same issue here is the solution.
    When you register try uppercase password . That should take care of that issue.
    The problem is with function module CRM_ISA_IUSER_SWITCH , Note 946536.
    Although the note says 5.0 the problem exists with ISA 4.0 too
