Error in catxdbj.sql execution

I get the following error executing catxdbj when initially installing hava and xml:
Warning: Java altered with compilation errors.
Is this expected? I see 55 invalid java classes in the db. I'm running 9.2.0.4 64-bit. Thanks.

That is the only error or warning I recieve. I've executed it twice. The invalid classes are as follows:

    Hi TheJudge2,
    Based on my understanding, you have installed SQL Server Migration Assistant successfully then you perform migration. After migration, you can’t find the table which you want to migrate to SQL Server 2008 R2 under the database in your SQL Server Management
    Studio, then you perform migration again. Then error message “Loading to database new table file name.dbo[table] ... sql execution failed” is thrown out. Please correct me if I misunderstand your meaning.
    Firstly, I would like to know whether you perform migration from Access database to SQL Server. I have performed migration from Access database to SQL Server in my lab environment.  Based on my test, I could migrate Access database to SQL Server successfully
    and table existed under the database in SQL Server Management Studio after migration.
    Besides, “sql execution failed” is a general error message. It is hard to find out the cause from this error message. Please check the information under the Output in SQL Server Migration Assistant again. It would be better if you can provide the complete
    output information for our deep analysis.

  • MDM Database command execution error. A SQL statement failed to execute

    Hi,
    When we tried to execute an MDM Java query modify/create, we get the following dump.
    Is this anything to do with the parameters that we pass or is it something to do with the database ?
    We have checked the code and we do not find anything wrong with the code at all.
    We are using Java API 5.5.63.73 and calling MDM API's using WebDynpro for Java.
    I have noticed this issue has been raised here as well :

    Regards,
    Subramanian V.
    Edited by: Subramanian Venkateswaran on Dec 10, 2008 8:11 PM

    Hi Subramanian  ,
    The error looks more like a problem with the data base or MDM system rather than the java code.
    Which is the underlying database you are using with MDM? As some users have faced some difficulties when working with the DB2 Data base,If this is the data base you too are working upon then may be the issue could be similar,if possible try using the Oracle or SQL data base as these databse show more compatibility than a DB2 when working with MDM .
    Also check the MDM users autorization and authentication to modifyor create recordrs in MDM.try given the user the ADMIN rights,and tehn try and see if teh user is able to modify/Create the mdm records.
    Lastly you can check the database instance and listener configuration correctly.try restarting the Database service form the system if possible.
    Hope It Helped
    Thanks & Regards

    Like the error message says, you don't have a global_lexer.  So, you need to create a global_lexer and that lexer must have at least a default sub_lexer, then you can use that global_lexer in your index parameters.  Please see the demonstration below, including reproduction of the error and solution.

  • ORA-29855: error occurred in the execution of ODCIINDEXCREATE routine

    I am receiving the following error from FME(safe software) when creating a spatial index. I have ruled out several of the common causes as reported in this forum because the procedure works for dataset with 300,000 rows of less but fails with the full dataset of 455,412 rows.
    I am using 10G 10.2.0.2.0 - 64bi
    Any hints/tips would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

    Thank you both for replies.
    The error does ocurr when I try to create the index from SQL, see message text below.
    With the spatial index creation disabled in FME the run completes sucessfully, so the data is ok, well thats a maybe.
    So I omitted the first 200,000 input rows and ran the last 255,413 rows and the index was sucessfully created (in FME) so now I conclude that the data IS ok (I had previously done a successful run with the first 300,000 rows)
    Therefore I am thinking that my database has a problem when it is asked to create a spatial index with the full 455,412 rows. Could this be configuration, a space problem . . . .
    Any more suggestions?
    Thanks

    Hi Raju,
    There are a few things I would change below.
    The first is that optimized rectangles (which you are using) need to be specified as lower left then upper right, assuming the lowest values are in the lower left corner of the coordinate system.
    The way you've specified them is upper left, lower right which will not work.
    The second thing I would change is your create index statement. You shouldn't be using locater to create the index - locator is a separate product should be used only with point geometries.
    Your create index statement should look something like this:
    create index zonetemp_sidx on zonetemp(shape)
    indextype is mdsys.spatial_index
    parameters ('sdo_level=NN');
    where NN above is an integer number representing the tiling level you are going to use for the index. This is workload dependent, but I will give you a range of 8-12 to start with - you can protype using real data and figure out what gives you the best performance - if it is 12 you may want to go higher.
    Also, you will have had to preload user_sdo_geom_metadata.
    Finally, your query looks good, although I would change it slightly to set the third ordinate to NULL rather than 0, i.e.:
    SELECT NAME
    FROM ZONETEMP A
    WHERE SDO_FILTER (A.SHAPE,
    MDSYS.SDO_GEOMETRY(2001,null,
    MDSYS.SDO_POINT_TYPE(20,20,NULL),
    NULL, NULL)),'QUERYTYPE='WINDOW')
    ='TRUE'
    Hope this helps,
    dan

  • Oracle + Unix question , Error validation for SQL statements in co process

    Hi,
    If I use co process in a shell script , what is the best way to do the error validation of the execution of any sql statements . I was trying to change the following code to make use of co process concept. When I tried echo $? after the execution of a "wrong statements"
    it is still giving Zero output ( meaning success)
    <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
    cat ${CFG_DIR}/srs_indx.lst | egrep -v '^#' | egrep -v '^[    ]*$' | while read x
    do
    echo " Processing values :: pre $pre tbl $tbl indx $indx tblspc $tblspc cols $cols param $param" >> ${LOGS_DIR}/srs_indx.log
    sqlplus ${BIZSTG} << EOT >> ${LOGS_DIR}/srs_indx.log
    set verify on timing on term on echo on feedback on serveroutput on
    WHENEVER SQLERROR CONTINUE
    drop index $indx;
    WHENEVER SQLERROR EXIT FAILURE
    alter session set query_rewrite_enabled = true;
    create $pre index $indx on $tbl ($cols)
    tablespace $tblspc
    $param;
    exit
    EOT
    RC=$?
    if ( test $RC -ne 0 )
    then
         ERR_MSG="ERROR in creating index $indx for table $tbl from srs_indx.ksh of $ENVIR : $APP by `whoami`@`hostname` on `date` "
         echo $ERR_MSG >> ${LOGS_DIR}/srs_indx.log
         process_warning ${LOGS_DIR}/srs_indx.log
         exitstat=1
    else
         echo "$indx created at `date`" >> ${LOGS_DIR}/srs_indx.log
    fi
    done

    Any help will be appreciated .
    with thanks and regards

    Hi,
    Thanks for the response, I guess people misunderstood my question .
    My question was about "error handling in case of CO PROCESS". For those who don't know about this, in case CO PROCESS you just need to login once to Oracle. In my above code It is logging in & out for each entry in the list. CO process statements may look Similar to SQL statements in pro*C. In PRO*C we use EXEC, but here print -p statements..
    a sample is given for those who are new to co process.
    sqlplus -s /nolog |& # Open a pipe to SQL*Plus
    print -p -- 'connect user/password@instance'
    print -p -- 'set feed off pause off pages 0 head off veri off line 500'
    print -p -- 'set term off time off'
    print -p -- "set sqlprompt ''"
    print -p -- "select sysdate from dual;"
    read -p SYSDATE
    print -p -- "select user from dual;"
    read -p USER
    print -p -- "select global_name from global_name;"
    read -p GLOBAL_NAME
    print -p -- exit
    echo SYSDATE: $SYSDATE
    echo USER: $USER
    echo GLOBAL_NAME: $GLOBAL_NAME
    But I got stuck during error handling of these SQL statements, especially the $? / $* returns 0 even after an erroneus execution.

  • Question on Dynamic SQL Execution

    Hi,
    Our company is currently using Oracle 7 but will move to Oracle 8i soon. I am trying to execute a dynamic SQL statement in a function and it always error-out during execution. The SQL statement is NOT doing any update to a table. Its doing a select only. The function is being called during an execution of another dynamic SQL statement in a procedure. Here are examples of the code listing for the procedure and function:
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE TEST_PROC
    lookup_cursor      integer;
    ignore          integer;
    VARvalue          number;
    begin
    lookup_cursor := DBMS_SQL.open_cursor;
    DBMS_SQL.PARSE( lookup_cursor,
              'SELECT ' || TEST_FUNCTION || ' FROM DUAL,
              DBMS_SQL.NATIVE);
    DBMS_SQL.DEFINE_COLUMN( lookup_cursor, 1, VARvalue);
    ignore := DBMS_SQL.EXECUTE(lookup_cursor);
    loop
         IF DBMS_SQL.FETCH_ROWS(lookup_cursor) > 0 THEN
         DBMS_SQL.COLUMN_VALUE(lookup_cursor, 1, VARvalue);
         ELSE
         EXIT;
         END IF;
    END LOOP;
    DBMS_SQL.CLOSE_CURSOR(lookup_cursor);
    end TEST_PROC;
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE TEST_FUNCTION
    lookup_cursor      integer;
    ignore          integer;
    VARvalue          number;
    VARsql_string     VARCHAR2(200);
    begin
    lookup_cursor := DBMS_SQL.open_cursor;
    VARsql_string := SOME GENERATED SQL STATEMENT;
    DBMS_SQL.PARSE( lookup_cursor,
              VARsql_string,
              DBMS_SQL.NATIVE);
    DBMS_SQL.DEFINE_COLUMN( lookup_cursor, 1, VARvalue);
    ignore := DBMS_SQL.EXECUTE(lookup_cursor);
    loop
         IF DBMS_SQL.FETCH_ROWS(lookup_cursor) > 0 THEN
         DBMS_SQL.COLUMN_VALUE(lookup_cursor, 1, VARvalue);
         ELSE
         EXIT;
         END IF;
    END LOOP;
    RETURN VARvalue;
    end TEST_FUNCTION;
    The error I received during execution of TEST_PROC is:
    ORA-06571: Function TEST_FUNCTION does not guarantee not to update database
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SYS_SQL", line 239
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SQL", line 32
    It may seem like the example procedure doesnt need to use a dynamic SQL execution to call TEST_FUNCTION but the actual code that I extracted from does.
    Does Oracle 7 always treat the dynamic SQL command set as some kind of update statement? Is that a bug? I understand that the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE command in Oracle 8i will replace the old command set found in the above examples. Will using the new EXECUTE IMMEDIATE command in Oracle 8i solve this problem?
    Thank you for any help,
    Tony

    In Oracle 7, for a function to be called from a select statement it has to follow the 'purity rule' that it does not modify any database table or package variable.
    Probably you will have to use the compiler directive PRAGMA RESTRICT_REFERENCES (WNDS,WNPS) on your TEST_FUNCTION so that it can be called within a SQL statement.
    This restriction is removed in Oracle 8i onwards.
    Hope this solves your problem.

    Just guessing here, but I'd suspect that you have a BPM Object that you are using in your screenflow. Inside your BPM Object you probably have a method that makes the database call. I'm assuming that you might be using Dynamic SQL in your method.
    If this is the case then make sure that this method has the property set to "Server Side".
