Error in converting exchange rate
Hi ,
While trying to create a sales order , I get an error "Condition YAGC : Error in converting exchange rate from KGAG to EUR." while trying to change the amount and the currency for the pricing condition YAGC.By default the currency comes up as EUR per 1 kg.I try to change it to KGAG (This is a currency code defined for our requirement).I have maintained the currency type , exchange rates from General Settings->Currencies->Check currency codes , General Settings->Currencies->Check exchange rate types. My ideal situation should be .02100 KGAG per 1 KG.Right now I am only able to do 1 EUR per 1KG as there is an error from KGAG to EUR conversion. What am I missing ? Should I maintain something in the pricing condition YAGC or in the procedure RVAA01 ? Kindly suggest.Thanks.
Hi
Please check whether you have maintained the exchange rates in
OB08

"An Exchange Rate Does not Exist" error while creating an item
Hi..
Pre-requisites: RMS is installed without base data
We are trying to create an item in RMS by filling the required information in "Item Maintenance window" and "Supplier details" screen. After this is done when we select the "Retail by Zone" link and the application prompts an error message : "An Exchange Rate Does not Exist", and all the values in "Retail by zone" screen are not populated. How do we ressolve this?
Thanks in Advance
YaminiAlso, make sure that if a currency has a rate entry for example, 01-jul-2010, then make sure that ALL other currencies have a rate entry for 01-jul-2010, even if the rate has not changed for other currencies - a little trick I learned from an Oracle consultant.

RMB/CNY exchange rate Chinese company code
Dear all,
When posting an invoice for a PO made in RMB(chinese renminbi) SAP errors that no exchange rate is maintained for this currency. This is correct because we only maintain CNY currency because it's the same and it's set as company code currency. Can I set a exchange rate CNY/RMB=1 and how to do this so no more errors occur, or do you guys have any suggestions?
Also when in OA08 and OE00 I see that currency is set to RMB for China, will this cause any problems in the future?
Thanks in advance,
MichaëThanks for the input,
I don't make PO's in RMB they were already created, and in ME22 I can't change currency.
I guess I could ask all users not to use RMB currency in their PO's. I don't think this is the ideal solution though because one day someone will create a PO in RMB again. But for now I don't want to delete RMB currency or implement any changes unless well advised because I'm inexperienced and my colleague is in maternity leave.
Further advise would be helpful,
Best regards,
Michaë -
Hi
We are getting the below error message while loading the data from ODS to Cube.
Enter rate USD / rate type M for 00.00.0000
Enter rate CAD / rate type M for 00.00.0000
We are using a program to convert the doc currency to Local currency and this we got this message for only few data packs not for all from ODS & when we tried to debug its giving no PSA data found. I think to debug the data which is coming from ODS is not possible.
I tried entering the exchanger rate for USD for date 00.00.0000 and its not allowing me to enter that date. (nvalid date)
Pelase adviceHi,
just go through this link for the same issue.
exchange rate
currency conversion
It seems you are doing currency conversion at the update rule level.
Are you maintaining these rates in any ODS and then custom defined program Or you are using standard SAP function.
you can lao chek it in R/3.
you can go to source system ->right click-> trasfer exchage rates. and then try to laod data nad see if solved the problems.
If not then you will have to maintain the rates manually.
Hope this helps u..

ERROR in MIRO : An exchange rate type is not defined for country IN
Experts:
When I try to enter the invoice received from the vendor, I am getting the following message.
An exchange rate type is not defined for country IN
Message no. FF802
Can anyone provide me a solution for this?
Thanks,
VijaiThis is the explanation given in note 974619 for the above error message
Summary
Symptom
When you post an FI document, the system issues error message FF 801 or FF 802.
Other terms
Plants abroad, FF 801, FF802
Reason and Prerequisites
You use the 'Plants abroad' function.
See Note 882132 for more information about this.
Solution
If the 'Plants abroad' function is active, additional fields appear when you maintain the country global parameters (transaction OY01, table T005):
- Country currency (Field WAERS)
- Exchange rate type (Field KURST)
- Net discount base (Field XSKFN)
- Net tax base (Field XMWSN)
You must maintain the fields 'Country currency' and 'Exchange rate type'.
Otherwise, the system issues error message FF 801 or FF 802.

Do I need to maintain exchange rate inOB08 for EUR to EUR conversion? Or is there any other setting?
Regards
AnandHi,
No need to maintain conversion between EUR to EUR.
We'll take one currency as standard for conversions.
In our case for every currency we have to maintain conversion for USD
EUR to USD
USD to EUR
INR to USD
USD to INR
May be you have to maintain like above.
