Error in Cost Estimate through SAP t code CK11n

Dear All,
we are encountering a problem in the Production server with regards to the costing of the finished goods materials u201CFERTu201D, when cost estimate is ran through CK11N, the system pick up standard price maintianed in material master of Raw material.
please note that we valuate our raw material on MAP and price control indicator V has been maintained for all raw materials
our material are coming form our BOM and procurement type F has been maintained in MRP view
We also want to share that before executing the cost estimate we updated moving average price through t code MR21 ( as at the time of GRN of these raw materails, moving average price was disturbed due to wrong per unit price entered in PO by one end user)
we have throughly examined configuration for standard cost estimate of material with Qunatity structure.it is ok from all respect, if we execute costing run for same material in Developemnt server, cost estmate is executing accuratley by picking MAP price. the differnce of the step between dev and production server is to update prices through MR21
Immediate reply is highly appreciated----please advice

Dear Pradeep,
in our case , strategy sequence in valuation variant is "Valuation price according to price control in material master " and then is "standard price"
in accounting view of material master we have maintained price control indicator "v" i.e MAP
i once again do inform that results of cost estimate is accurate if i execute in my Dev server i,e raw materials are being costed at MAP
plz advcie

  • Material cost estimate with quantity structure (tcode: CK11N)

    Hey dear friends.
I donu2019t know in which forum I should put my question above.
In fact, Iu2019m new to SAP PM module.
Iu2019m trying to create material cost estimate with quantity structure (tcode: CK11N) for a material u201CXu201D.
    This material is manufactured.
While running the transaction CK11N, I got an error message.
After analyzing this error message, Iu2019ve realised that somebody had assigned wrong activity types to cost centers which are linked to this material in tcode: CR03, tab: costing.
So Iu2019ve changed and assigned the right activity types.
Then, Iu2019ve tried to run the tcode CK11N again. But the system still brings the wrong activity types and seems to ignore the ones that Iu2019ve assignedu2026
It seems like the old activity types still linked to the cost centers somewhere else than in tcode CR03u2026
Any idea about what am I mising ?
    Thank's in advance.
    Bahia.

    Dear Bahia,
If its rate routing means,i guess you must be working in REM scenario.
So goto CA22,delete the existing operation and then assign the same work center in a new
operation, check what activity types is it proposing in the rate routing,if its reflecting correctly means
    save the datas.
Also goto KKF6N--->click the change mode icon and then calculator button to create a preliminary cost
estimate and then save the datas.
One of our forum friend has asked you to check the production order read PP master data once
again, but understand there is no production order concept in REM scenario, only planned orders.
Then come back with your queries.

  • Error determing cost estimate

    Hi Experts,
When i am trying to backflush planned order type PE  in open period its giving following error
    Error determining the cost estimate
    Message no. RM078
I tried to do cost estimate in KKF6N, it doesnt show any error, and save successfully butt again when i am coming back to mfbf its throwing same error, what is the reason behind that, i am doing mfbf in march 2009 because its open period here.
Please help me in this regards.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Karad D D

    Dear Devidas,
check what type of REM profile you have assigned to the material master.
Check the setting of the REM profile in OSP2,whether under cost accounting the check box is set for backflush using
preliminary cost estimate or else using standard cost estimate.
If it's having std cost estimate check box means, execute CK40N and then only you will be able to backflush in MFBF.
    Check and revert back.

  • Error  - Material cost estimate with quantity structure

    Hello Gurus!
Can anyone please help with the following problem:
I’m trying to do the material cost estimate with quantity structure, but the system is throwing back the message  " There is no exchange rate for exchange rate type P on 1.01.2008: CHF -> EUR".
This happens because I have a subcontratation in my routing in CHF, and in transaction OB08, and I don’t had defined that rate (type P CHF –EUR).
I need to know if there is any solution to the system assumes other Type of Exchange Rate (the last real exchange rate that I have introduced in my system, not the planned!)
Points will be assigned to the suitable answer.
    Thanks in advance.
    Mary Jane

    Hi Sridhar
    Thanks for your reply.
In OKEQ for the version 0, I have the rate type M.
I don't understand why the system throwing back the message  " There is no exchange rate for exchange rate type P on 1.01.2008: CHF -> EUR".!
    Do you know why?
    Thanks and regards

But fixed oh is 150000 (50000+100000) in above example.
How to transfer 150000 as fixed OH in copa instead of 100000 for the month of april.
Your help will be highly appreciated.

    Hi,
If on 1st April you have this information thro a product costing report then the easiest way to transfer to COPA is via KE21N transaction

    Hi Craig
Thanks a lot for all your answers.
Last query:  I will not able to do MASS UD if all samples are not valuated means I have to record results in all 3 physical samples.
    1. In QA11 I am able to UD for each inspection lot (where result is recorded in 2 physical sample & 3rd one is not valuated). Why it is so? Why I am not getting the same error that 3rd sample is not valuated.
    2. In QA41 mass UD is not possible if 3rd sample is not valuated. Why I am not getting all inspection lots and getting few in the output screen? Is there any other way where I can valuate all open inspection lots in mass operation?
    3. In QA16, also I am not getting all inspection lots in the output screen. Why?
Requesting yo clarify my queries to make me undrstand the process better. So that I can convince my higher management to reduce physical sample generation in auto.
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Cost Sheet from SAP

    Dear All,
I am consulting with Cement Industry client, here we have only one Final Product i.e., Cement. We implemented SAP FI and CO module 2 yrs back but till now they are not using Controlling module properly in SAP. Now they need total costing from SAP, mainly Cost Sheet as per Indian cement industrys format. We are following repetetive manufacturing process, by using Product Cost Collectors. Can any body explain what to check for getting Cost Sheet and useful T.codes please.
    Regards,
    Prasad

The process in SAP costing is you set a standard cost estimate for a material (say Cement bag) and release it to the material master. The cost estimate shall be with quantity structure (i.e with a Bill of material and routing). This will serve as the standard for all production during the year (or any period you decide). To do this you need to set up a costing variant T-code OKKN)
You also need to design a cost component structure created OKTZ to capture various cost element that would be involved in representing the cost of making the cement bag. This can be tailored to suit the format regulated by the industry.
    For e.g
Raw materials to include powder of alumina, silica, lime, iron oxide, and magnesium oxide)
    Conversion (kiln operations cost)
    Pulverizing
    Depreciation (of kiln etc)
    Labour cost
    Packaging etc.
Once you have assigned, you can run the cost estimate through CK40N collectively or cK11N individually.
Cost sheet or costing sheet within SAP is a terminology used to allocate overheads to products. You can also use this feature (found under SPRO>Controlling>PCP>Basic settings>Overheads) This feature will ensure to transfer cost from cost centers to the products on any preferred basis.

  • Error reading material cost estimate for sales order (KE292)

    Dear All,
I have an issue with billing. we are posting july month transactions, the material cost is maintained through MR21. When releasing billing document for accounting we are getting error message like"Error reading the material cost estimate for sales order "11"
    Message no. KE292
    Diagnosis
In Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), the system tried to valuate item 000010 of sales order 11 by reading the corresponding product cost estimate.
However, no product cost estimate could be found for this sales order item.
The system accessed product costing for product AMLFP011011XX00P using costing key YB3 as defined in the
    CO-PA Customizing settings.
    System Response
The system cannot process the document any further.
    Procedure
    Check your Customizing settings."
We cross checked with other client as a current date and we ran cost estimate through CK40N with same material. and we posted entries. Here it is working fine. but in above process it is not working. Can you pls guide me where i missed.
    Regards,
    Nagaraju,

    Hi,
When the Costing Key is assigned to the material types in the COPA customizing, then system expects Cost estimation when billing is released to Accounts.
If you dont run cost estimation but update the material master through MR21, system will not accept as in the Costing key configuration you must have selected the Current Standard price field for the valuation.
Hence, try to run cost estimation and then do releasing.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Cost estimate issue (Urgent!!!!)

    Hello,
While doing the Cost estimate i am getting below error message for Material 'A':
It was showing me cost estimate earlier , but we wanted that for a particular Cost element (already existing in CCS) planning needs to be done and needs to be included in Std cost of material.
I have not touched Cost component strcuture nor the Splitting structure. Everything is in place.
I have added Planning in KP06 for Costcenter and Cost element (non activity related)
Then i did KSS4 - Splitting allocation to activity types
and then KSPI - Price calculation.
After that i am performing the cost estimate it is giving me below error. Can u please help. Even if i have undone what i have done it is giving the same message.
    Points would be rewarded imm.
Cost center 1045262000, activity type M_RUN: Actvty price differs fr. cost comp splt
    Message no. CK687
    Diagnosis
For cost center 1045262000/activity type M_RUN, the activity price calculated for price strategy 2 is different from the corresponding primary cost component split.
    Possible causes:
You are working in Cost Center Accounting with manually-set activity prices that are included in the iterative activity price calculation.
Rounding error (in this case, notify your system administrator).
    System response
Costing ignores the primary cost component split from Cost Center Accounting, and assigns the costs to the product cost estimate through the allocation cost element of the cost component split.

    Hi rajeshwari,
have u got a solution? if not, then go to T-code KSBT. Check there must not be a rate calculated for the Cost center 1045262000, activity type M_RUN.
For the sake of removing the error message, go to T-code KP26, key in activity as 1 & fixed rate also as Rs 1 . Save this & again execute  cost estimate .
Aslo check Tcode KSV3 if u have a distribution cycle in place. Then check  splitting.
    Hope this helps

  • Requirement of Cost Estimate Details Material-wise

    Hi,
Kindly let me know the tablenames or Tcodes in which Cost Estimate details are stored material-wise(FG or SFG)
    For E.g.
    1     Raw Materials     0.58
    2     Packing Material     1.23
    3     Man Power     0.15
    4     Utilities                     0.71
    5     Q C Overhead     1.94
    6     Depreciation     0.91
    7     Factory Overhead     0.07
    8     Admin- Overhead
    9     Other Overheads
Final Cost              5.59        ( Material Standard Price Derivation)
Standard SAP Report should give above details directly after enter range of SFG or FG Materials
    With Regards,
    Kunal Sheth

    Hi Kunal,
You Estimate the Standard Cost using Transaction Code CK11N, Mark and Release in CK24.
For any Material, SFG or FG, you can view the Standard Cost Estimate
    1.Using Transaction Code CK13N.
You can find bothe "Itemization" View (as you asked in your question) and "Cost Component View" there.
    2. Alternatively, to be comparitively easy, go to the Material Master of any particular Material for which you want to see the Standard Cost Estimate, Go to "Costing 2" view, you will be able to see there "Future Planned Price", "Current Standard Price" and "Previous Price".
You can simply press on any of the above "buttons" (Press "Current" to view) and the system will take you to the Standard Cost Estimate screen.
Pls check and revert back for further explanation....

  • CK11N, release new costing estimate

    Hello all experts,
Please help me on the following question, thank you!!
For example: Product A, it has a standard cost estimate which is released on 01.01.2010, it's costing date from is 01.01.2010 and costing end date is 31.12.2010. In the middle of the year, for example in May, the exchage rate was change a lot, so we want to release a new cost estimate for it. The costing start date is 01.05.2010 and costing end date is 31.12.2010.
My question is: Is it possible for me to do so directly in CK11N and then mark and release it in CK24?
    Thank you very much!!!
    Mavis

    Dear,
The Standard Cost Estimate/Costing  Run will be executed only in Company Code Currency i.e., Local Currency. Exchange rate differences will happen only during execution of Actual Postings.
For example : Goods Receipt of 100 units @ $ value of Rs. 45.
    Finished Goods Account   DR      4500
    GR/IR Clearing Account    CR       4500
    Invoice Receipt/Invoice Verification -MIRO:
    Invoice Receipt 100 units @ $ Value of Rs.48
If the stock is available, the Inventory/Stock Value will be revaluated with the new price. If the stock is not available the Exchange difference will be posted to Exchange Gain/Loss Account based on OBYC settings,  like this.
    Exchange Gain/Loss A/c     DR     300
    GR/IR clearing A/c               DR   4500
    Vendor A/c                            CR   4800
If you want to update the Material Master with new Standard Price, you need to Reorganize existing Cost Estimate through t-code CKR1 and re-run t-codes CK11N and CK24 for Mark and Release the new price.

  • Enter Vendor Invoice - SAP T.Code FB60

We have received an invoice from vendor for supplies and we do not have a purchase order for this invoice. We proceed to account through SAP T.Code FB60.
The vendor should have charged sales tax but has not. While accounting the invoice we want to record accrual for self assessed use tax.
The system calculates the tax but assumes the invoice value is inclusive of use tax. But we know that the price is exclusive of tax and hence we need to make an additional accrual for sales tax and debit the supplies expense account.
Can this be done? Is this how other SAP run business record this transaction?

I will give an example to make my query more clear.
Vendor invoice 5000, Rate of tax 7% , Entry psoted by system:
Dr Expenses for supplies a/c 4,672.90
Dr Sales Tax Payable a/c         327.10
    Cr Vendor a/c                       5,000.00
    Entry required:
Dr Expesnes for Supplies a/c 5350
    Cr Vendor a/c                       5000
Cr Sales Tax Payable a/c        350
