Error in DMS???

Hii
While uploading the drawing i m getting the error lik "FTP subcommand: Local error'
Any body have any idea , why its this werror occuring ,??
How to rectify this error ???

Hi
I think you did not define data carrier for DMS yet. You need to check in your drawing document type whether you have checked K-pro.(spro>cross applications> DMS-->control data --->define document type.)
Then you need to do full configuration of data carrier or setting for storage system.
(spro>cross applications> DMS-->General data)
You need to take help from basis consultant.

Hi!
It seems for me, in the DOCUMENTFILES parameter, there is not the full path and filename given to the FM, through the DOCPATH and DOCFILE fields.
It supposed to seem somehow like this:
DOCUMENTFILES-DOCPATH = 'D.Documents and settingsSAPDMS_upload'
DOCUMENTFILES-DOCPATH = 'test.doc'
Or something like that.

error 26296 is caused by inconsistencies in the table DMS_DOC2LOIO. Please run the report DMS_KPRO_READ for the relevant document info record to get the corresponding LOIO-ID.
Please use report DMS_KPRO_CHECK1 described in SAP note 368035 to
check for inconsistencies between DMS, KPRO and content server. Please
also read note 906266. This is relevant in your case, as you are using
one content server for two systems. Details about the DIR in question
can be accessed by using report DMS_KPRO_READ.
Unfortunately, we cannot reconstruct the reason for this inconsistency
but the above described procedure should solve the problem with the
originals.

You will have to create one System for R/3 Server Access, Once you have created that you will have to maintain User mapping for System Access for each individual users, who want to access the DMS Documents from Portal.

I have a problem with DMS while i'm doing Check in As 'Vault'
i'm getting an error "FTP Subcommand: local error'
wat r the settings tht i hav to do to overcum this error.
i have already checked with reports like
RSFTP002 & MCDOKVAULT.
itz wrking fine wit those reports but in DMS its throughing da above error.

Is your system a Unicode system?
If so the problem can be resolved if you have a unicode version of
SAPFTP program in your desktop according to note 93042.
Please follwo the note 93042 and download the latest sapftp.
Execute sapftp -V on your command prompt. This should show you the ftp
version stating if it is unicode.

HTTP 401 Authorization error in DMS KPro implementation

Experts,
We had setup the DMS KPro with Http Content Server. Getting error '401' HTTP Authorization.
Please suggest on action to be taken - We are stuck up. CSADMIN - not allowing even if 'Everyone' authorization given in the OS.

Hi i am using DMS server
When i am trying to upload a photo whr i am getting this error
ERROR: A2 REPOSITRY IS NOT CONNECTING TO HTTP SERVER.
Can any one tell me the basic configuration which i need to do in server. And which steps i need use to solve this problem.

Document opening error in DMS

Hi,
We are using SAP Solution Manager 7.1. We have defined the BPS and have stored the documents using DMS. For some of the documents in DMS when the users try to open them they get the following pop-up box:-
At times after clicking 'OK' the documents open and sometimes few more pop-up boxes appear thus resulting into a lot of time being spent in acessing the documents.
Has anyone faced this issue before. Could you please suggest some solution.

Error in Archiving Printlist

Dear All,
We are archiving a printlist in SAP. While doing so, the request ended with error in CFBC queue. The CARA queue executed successfully by archiving link. The error that is popping up in CFBC queue is:
"Error in version number increment for version 99".
Order History
02.01.2009 10:21:01     Request Created
02.01.2009 10:21:01     Content Repository Reports Ok
02.01.2009 10:21:01     Print List Mngmt Record (TOADL) Successfully Created
02.01.2009 10:21:01     Error Creating DMS Management Record
While clicking the error message button next to order history, we get the version 99 error mentioned above.
Any help or pointers on how to solve this would be really appreciated.

code which I test out is from this websiteErrrr line 42 of that example code has a method called printList. Perhaps you should copy all the code and not just some of it.

Thanks for the reply. I am installing Peoplesoft HCM 9.0 on Windows 2003 server, with Oracle 10g release 1.
I ran the script logged in as PS and got errors, and then logged in as SYSADM and got the error that I have sent.

Error while calling BAPIs for DMS from Portal

Hi everybody,
We are developing a portal with Web Dynpro and trying to call from our java code BAPIs that deals with DMS:
BAPI_DOCUMENT_CREATE2 - to create a new DMS document and checkin an original.
CVAPI_DOC_CHECKIN - to checkin an original to an existing DMS document.
CVAPI_DOC_CHECKOUT - to checkout an original from the DMS.
While using other bapi's that deals with DMS but do not deals with originals (like creating a new document, retrieving metadata about documents and originals) we don't have any problem.
Only when trying to checkin or checkout originals we get the following message (from the DMS?): RFC_START_PROGRAM
the full message is: com.sap.aii.proxi.framework.core.BaseProxiException:RFC_START_PROGRAM error key:RFC_ERROR_PROGRAM.
does anybody knows the meaning of this message?
by the way - those BAPIs works well while called from the R/3. only when we call them from the portal we have this problem.
