Error in image path when import them

Hi,
I have problem when I try import imagen inside Edge stage. Then I need close the file and re-open to fix the image paths.
I note that Edge create a image folder to save the image inside the Library.
Do I am doing anything wrong trying drag/drop image inside the stage? Is there any tips to fix this issue?
Regards

It looks like you have a space in your path.  I have had trouble in the past with image files with spaces in the filenames.

  • Why, since CS6 does DW now use ABSOLUTE image paths when dragging images into Design View from a folder in Finder?!

While I am grateful the previous issue I had with not being able to drag files into design view at all (in CC and CC2014) was resolved.
Guys (Adobe), seriously, if you're going to change the functioning of something that used to work just fine, at least supply a way for a user to revert to the old way... I absolutely loathe that I need a legacy version of DW to continue with my current workflow. Please put it back to the way it was, or at least allow a user to chose between the two behaviours.
If there is a way to do this, without using the Site Manager (which still doesn't work from Finder even with relative to document selected), I would appreciate any guidance.
As for using the Site Manager (before some smart guy suggests that I just use that) I do not wish to navigate to and create up to 20 "sites" a week and wait for DW to cache them all, when I am already in the folder with the image assets in Finder.
Also before someone pipes up and says: "You shouldn't be diving sites in design view anyway", I don't... I develop many, many newsletters every week and the folder structure is such that navigation to the actual image folder using the Site Manager would be painful at best.
I don't really like having to and replace all instances of "file:///Users/me/Work/company/Mailers/Year/wk14/mailer/dev/img/prod5.jpg". It is horrendously wasteful, time-wise.
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies

Sorry Murray, DW used to have an idea, my point is that since CS6 its developed a case of Amnesia.
The "elements" are in the "root" folder as follows:
    newslettername.htm
    img
         imagename.jpg
So the relative path would be <img src"img/imagename.jpg" />
    However since the change: <img src"file:///Users/me/work/Company/year/week/campaign/img/imagename.jpg" />
Which is completely useless and needs to be corrected before I upload the html anywhere.
As for using the site directory, I did answer that in my initial post. I use a laptop, I really don't want a site manager taking half my screen just so I can see the folder structure and navigate with that, especially since I am already at the files I need in Finder.
Again, this is something that used to work just fine in previous iterations of DW, so I don't believe Adobe is incapable of fixing it nor am I being unreasonable asking for a choice for those that may find the local absolute paths useful in some way. All I want is to be able to chose not to use absolute paths when dragging from Finder.

  • Poor image quality when importing SWF

I maintain a site for a photographer and as he added more
images the SWF got to be very large, so I split up the site and
used a main page to import the smaller SWF files into a target.
However, I found that all my clean crisp images become dull when
imported but still look sharp in the SWF itself. I tied to find all
the JPEG settings and push them up but still with no luck. Does
anybody have any insight to why this is happening?

    Hello micsaint111111111111,
The reason they look more blurry than in the original swf is
    that you are
dealing with dual compression from the original swf AND the
    swf you are loading
    the images into.
The easiest/best way to import your jpgs would be using
    LoadMovie to load
the actual jpg files. That keeps all the jpgs separate so
    your swf file will
be tiny. Plus the quality will be the same as the original
    jpg.
That said- have you gone into your swfs and changed the
    default image quality
on each of the images to 90 or 100? You do that in your
    library by right-clicking
on the actual images and then going to Properties and
    unchecking "Use document
default quality". That is one issue that a lot of people seem
    to miss and
it might help if you don't want to recode your Flash with the
    LoadMovie method.

  • Does anyone else this error after iPhoto crashes when importing?

I tried searching for answers on Google, Bing, Webcrawler, and even Wolfram but there is no answer for this anywhere on the web.  Just got done installing my new hard drive.  I made sure to backup EVERYTHING and I even made a zip copy of my iphoto library.
On my initial first launch of iPhoto, I try to import my library and iPhoto crashes after about 3 seconds.  In the error report window that comes up, it lists this as the reason why it was terminated:
'[<NSCFDictionary 0x1f0ad190> valueForUndefinedKey:]: this class is not key value coding-compliant for the key 1140.'
Does anyone know if this is a simple code fix or how to solve errors like these?  Remember, this is fresh install of OS X on a new SSD hard drive.  All of my Adobe apps are running great with no hassles.  The only apps that are giving me trouble are iPhoto and Aperture.
Even worse is that now Aperture is stalling every time I try to export a version of a photo that I retouched.  I'm thinking it probably has something to do with why iPhoto constantly crashed when importing.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

When I said, "import," I meant that I do drag my iphoto library as whole and drop it into iPhoto.
That is eactly what you NEVER do - that is importing the old library into the new one - you never do that
    again it is very simple
You NEVER Import an iPhoto library - period
You drag an iPhoto Library  intact as a single entity to the pictures folder and launch iPhoto --  No importing involved

  • Bad image quality when importing from word

When importing from MS Word 2003 to RH X5.0.2, embedded
images are converted to jpg whith an obviously quite moderate
compression qulity. This is particularly evident for screenshots.
Is there a way to improve the image quality?

Peter , these images were copied and pasted directly in to
the Word-document (using the Print Screen button) but I did find
out something. RoboHelp generates two image files of the types PNG
and JPG for each Word image (named, e.g., image102.png and
image103.jpg). Regretably, the lesser quality JPG is always
referenced in the topics instead of the much better PNG. Sometimes
the two images greately differ in size (pixel size), but most of
the time they are about the same size.
So the task might be to change the references in all topics
using a script and then manually checking the images for their
    size.
An observation: Any GIF images in the Word file (i.e., real
*.gif files that were inserted over the Insert menue) remain GIF
files after the import, they are not converted and maintain a good
    quality.

  • Error in Web Location path when importing Site Studio Backup Archives

    Hi,
Webcenter Content version 11.1.1.5.0 running on Linux.
I have successfully (according to the archive logs) imported two Site Studio Backup Archives: Ravenna Hosting and Site Studio Samples.
I've not had a problem before with these archive files (installed successfully on my local Windows installation of 11g), but on our DEV server the Web Location path is incorrect.
Somehow the archive process has introduced the below directory structure:
    /mdaw/mdax/~edisp/
    Example expected location: .../groups/public/documents/wcmwebasset/oracle_logo_15h.png
    Imported location: .../groups/public/weblayout/groups/public/documents/wcmwebasset/mdaw/mdax/~edisp/oracle_logo_15h.png
    - The sites are visible but with broken images
    - The Site Studio Assets can be seen in Site Studio Designer
    - The Web Location path on all content items is incorrect and points to the wrong path
    - Archive has proven to work before (same physical file) and the path information within it appears correct
Copying the files results in the images appearing but obviously the Web Location defined within the content items is still incorrect.
Whilst Ravenna Hosting site looks OK after copying the files, the Site Studio Sample site is totally broken.
Obviously the underlying import issue needs to be resolved - has anyone come across the underlying issue (the insertion of an incorrect directory structure)?
Has anyone any advice on a solution so I can re-import the archive with the files being written to the correct Web Locations?
    Thanks in advance

The issue is the result of a new feature introduced in version 11.1.1.4.0 called the 'Dispersion Rule'.
All legacy archive will hit this in the future release, but there is a work-around documented here: http://blogs.oracle.com/ecmarch/entry/working_with_the_new_fsp_dispe

  • Image problems when importing modified Iphoto pictures to aperture 3

I seem to have a bit of strange problem with modified pictures after they are imported in A3.
I am using Iphoto 8.1.1 and have just bought Aperture 3. I decided to import all my iphoto pictures using the import iphoto library function.
I noticed that all images that had (in iphoto) been edited using the retouch function to reduce blemishes have problems in Aperture. The problem appears to be where the brush was used is now pixilated in that area and it just looks like a cluster of "noise". This only seems to happen when I used the import iphoto library. I tried to replicate the issue importing some of the same pictures individually and there was no issue. Than I made a new library tried to import iphoto library and same issue ones again. Exporting the picture out of aperture keeps this error. It's quite a worry as I have several hundred of these pictures and I am not sure what to do. Any suggestions?
Please have a look at the links below for an example of before and after import.
    http://files.me.com/dan_801/rlebic (the original file)
    http://files.me.com/dan_801/s0zn6d (after importing into A3)

ok quick update - I opened up the aperture library in finder and located the image. The master appears to be the correct image but in Aperture itself it's showing a different image. The picture in Aperture appears to be pointing to the preview directory within the library structure. I tried re building the review and thumb and same issue again. When I export from aperture it also seems to export the preview version as oppose to the master. How do i fix this issue

  • Stereo image reversed when importing non-cd aiffs

I am having a problem nobody in apple discussions seems to have had, nor is it in any article i've come across. The problem is simple. When I import an aiff file from my hard drive (ripped from vinyl using Audio Companion) into Itunes 6.0.4, the stereo image is reversed. Left is right and right is left. I confirmed this with another file. This is true if the file is left as an aiff in Itunes or is converted to an AAC. When a file is imported from a music cd this does not happen. Any thoughts?
ps when i import these files into itunes, they are imported as aiffs even though my import preferences are set to convert files into AAC's.

Thanks for tip about import preferences being specific to importing from cds. However, my main concern is why my left and right channels are being reversed when I move a non-cd aiff into Itunes. Even after I convert that aiff into aac format the reversal sticks. Something unintended by the designers of this program is happening to these files simply by virtue of placing them in Itunes, and it is quite serious. I do not want to import hundreds of tracks from vinyl with such a problem.

  • IPhoto gives import error "file not valid" when import more than one photo

Trying to import lots of photos.
Every time I try to import more than a few, I get an error that "The following files could not be imported (they may be an unrecognized file type of the files may not contain valid data)."
When I go back to importing just one at a time, it works fine every time.
I have tried rebuilding the iPhoto library as well.
I have tried also not copying into the iPhoto library and copying into the iPhoto library (using Preferences/Advanced/Importing).
    Any help would be great.
This is painful doing one-by-one, and each one I bring in shows as a separate event...
Every once in a while I will get lucky and it will import more than 5, though I will still get the error before it imports all selected. Ugh!

    Unfortunately did not work.
And now a silly question - how do I get to be able to see my original iPhoto library? When I try to open it, I don't see any of the albums and mobileme galleries I had created anymore (though I can still see them on the web)

  • Error message "file unreadable" when importing from camera

When I plug in my digital camera to iPhoto 6, certain pictures do not import and get error message listing the files "file unreadable or wrong format." If I turn camera off and then back on, it gives the message again but with DIFFERENT files.
This happens recently on my iMac (never happened before). The same camera with same images plugged into my MacBook gives no problems. Both running 10.5.4.

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • Why is there an 'Error: No Data' sign when importing in Log and Transfer?

    Hello,
I am trying to import clips from my Panasonic HDC-SD100 camcorder into Final Cut Express 4. I am using the Log and Transfer window and am able to import most of my clips. However, every time I import there are a handful of clips that are left idle and an 'Error: No Data' sign appears next to them. They have not been imported to the Scratch Disk, and yet there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with them because they playback on the viewing screen in the Log and Transfer window. Can anyone help me to determine what is wrong?
    Many thanks.

Some of the descriptions you are using are kind of confusing.
"first 2 controls of each DO line(s)"
"button 1 of DO lines 1 and DO lines 2"
"control 2 of DO lines 1 and DO lines 2"
What is the difference between "button 1" and "control 2".  I am going to assume you mean the same thing when you say "button" vs. "control" but just decided to change terminology in mid-sentence
You need to write out a Truth table to describe what you need done.  The way you have the description written, you are already using the word "OR" to describe the different situations.  That is going to be a key part of your program.
    This shows:
    (DOlines button1 AND button2)  OR
    (DOlines2 button1  AND button2) OR
    (DOlines button1 AND DO lines2 button1)  OR
    (DOlines button2 AND DO lines2 button2)

  • What sequence settings for MP4s  when importing them? Rendering is a pain.

I downloaded some clips for an editing project and the codec information listed for them is H.264, AAC, MPEG-4, ODSM, MPEG-4, SDSM. I imported the files into FCP 5.1.2 as part of a new project so what exactly do I change so I don't have to render them every time I make an edit or apply a filter? I'm assuming I change the sequence settings but what exactly do I change...the QuickTime Video Compressor settings? Tried it for H.264 but it didn't work unless I missed a step. Thanks for any help.

chances are Shane's excellent tip will get it all set
up for you, but be warned that not all non-standard
codecs can be edited "natively" in FCP, and you
should not automatically assume that they can.
if you are trying to work with clips in one of these
non-native codecs then you should transcode them to a
native format, such as DV, first. (you can do this
    using FCP's Batch Export function)
After using the Batch Export function on the clips as well as individual clips I am receiving General Error messages when I try to import the file(s). Any thoughts? I tried Shane's tip as well and it works except for the audio rendering as mentioned in the tutorial. Not a huge deal though. Now I need to figure out a way to do the Multi-Clip sequence thing for 16 clips since it only does it one clip at a time.

  • Clearcut image. distortion when importing into Aperture3

I clear cut an image in PS then pasted it into a new transparent file. Reduced the image to 600 pixels high. Saved with "web and devices" with png-24 and transparency ticked. The preview looks perfect (see example). Hit save. Go to A3 and use the import button to bring the image back into my library. However, the image has some weird things happening in the background (see example). I use this procedure all the time, putting the clipped image onto a white background but this is the first I tried a transparent one. I've tried the same process with different images but the same thing happens. Also, the same thing happens when I import the file saved as a psd. I would really appreciate any help in solving this. Thanks, bj

Thanks c.p. The prognosis doesn't look good! Is there a way to export the image out of PS. Through MiniBridge perhaps? "Why am I trying to achieve this?" The Company I shoot wine bottles for has asked for an additional image with a transparent background for Web use (As mentioned I have previously always clearcut onto a white background). It is a major account so important for me to deliver the image. As it seems to be an A3 issue I'll post the question on Apple Discussions and see what comes up. b.j.

  • Why does color of image change when imported to Photoshop

When I import or edit my Lightroom image into Photoshop the color tones of the image change to a darker tone.
    I'm using the same screen.
What can I do to correct this?

    Thanks for both responses .
I tried changing the export settings but still get a different color image rom the one I get in Lightroom.
Also, the monitor was recently callbrated, so could the answer be in PHOTOSHOP's color management settings?
When I checked PS's Color Settings window the " Working Spaces" setting was at  "sRGB"...
    and
Color Management Policies @ "Preserve Embedded Profiles
My first export from LR was also @ sRGB.
Any thoughts on some common settings that might put this right?
    Thanks again.
