Error in MySQL SET query

I am trying to calculate a running total in a mysql recordset
on a webpage using the code below. I can run the query in
phpMyAdmin and it runs just fine, but when I execute it from my
webpage, I get this error:
"You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that
corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to
use near '; SELECT `cashflow_item` , `cashflow_value`,
`cashflow_type`, `cashflow_date`, `' at line 1"
Can anyone see anything in this script which would cause
these problems"

You have misunderstood what I said. The mysql_query()
function cannot
handle multiple queries. Your SET and SELECT queries must be
submitted
separately to mysql_query(). You cannot combine them.
However, I don't really understand what you're trying to do.
You're
setting @cum as a variable with a fixed value of 0. Using a
fixed value
doesn't seem to make any sense.

  • Error while running the query on web.

    Hello Friends
    I am getting the error message "Result set too large (1056716 cells); data retrieval restricted by configuration (maximum = 500000 cells)" while executing the query on the web in BI 2004s. How can this be resolved.
    Any help in this regards is appreciated and points will be assigned.
    Thanks.

    Hi Rishi,
    Maybe your queries returned too large volume of data.
    So, if possible,
    1, create some filter on your query  to reduce the transferred data
    2, chaange your query structure (reduce the items on the column or low)
    and your error message seemed to be generated from BEx Analyzer...
    does web report have "cells"?
    if BEx Analyzer, the limit of cells volume is inneviable.
    and if you use BEx Web, do you know note1008619?
    this note describe about the limit of data volume on web applications.
    Hope it help,
    Kanako

  • Frm-40505:ORACLE error: unable to perform query in oracle forms 10g

    Hi,
    I get error frm-40505:ORACLE error: unable to perform query on oracle form in 10g environment, but the same form works properly in 6i.
    Please let me know what do i need to do to correct this problem.
    Regards,
    Priya

    Hi everyone,
    I have block created on view V_LE_USID_1L (which gives the error frm-40505) . We don't need any updation on this block, so the property 'updateallowed' is set to 'NO'.
    To fix this error I modified 'Keymode' property, set it to 'updatable' from 'automatic'. This change solved the problem with frm-40505 but it leads one more problem.
    The datablock v_le_usid_1l allows user to enter the text (i.e. updated the field), when the data is saved, no message is shown. When the data is refreshed on the screen, the change done previously on the block will not be seen (this is because the block updateallowed is set to NO), how do we stop the fields of the block being editable?
    We don't want to go ahead with this solution as, we might find several similar screens nad its diff to modify each one of them individually. When they work properly in 6i, what it doesn't in 10g? does it require any registry setting?
    Regards,
    Priya

  • Cannot submit CD titles to CDDB: an error occurred in the query subsystem

    Ever since I updated to Mountain Lion, I cannot submit CD titles to CDDB/ Gracenote through iTunes. I get the error:
      an error occurred in the query subsystem
    This is on two different computers, both on OS X 10.8.4. One computer is running iTunes 11.0.4, the other is sunning iTunes 10.7. Same error in both cases.
    Help?

    I'd make an educated guess, based on the error message, that the problem lies in the PHP/MySQL on the Gracenote site and it ISN'T an iTunes or Apple problem. What you're seeing is similar to a 503 error in a web browser. That's ALWAYS on the server end. Gracenote may work it out or not, but I doubt it's anything you (on your end) or Apple can fix.

    Has anyone faced the issue and know the way out..?
    Definitely, will award points..
    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Ameya,
    which system are you testing this? I mean are you testing this in dev or qa? If you are testing in QA, make sure you import the infoset correctly. It is a different procedure. Hope it helps.

    If you have a date column, converting that to a timestamp isn't going to magically add more information to the date.
    Date data types hold time information (not to the fractional precision like timestamps, but up to the second) ... if you are having a problem seeing that information, it's likely because of your NLS_DATE_FORMAT setting (whatever client you are using to view the data isn't showing you all of the information, but it's still there).
    So basically, this boils down to your code not "making sense" at the moment
    Cheers,

  • Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression

    Hi all
    I am creating a couple of pages where a dynamic list is created from an access database and then products from that list are displayed, the user then has the option of clicking more details, this then should pass the KITID over to the details page, However when i click on the details page i get the following error
    Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'
    [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Syntax error (missing operator) in query expression 'KitID = Kit 01'.

    Here is the code from the page i am building, can anybody see anything obvious here
    strKitID = Request.QueryString("KitID")

    If strKitID = False Then

      ' Get all rows from table and asign values to array for use in form
      Do While Not(objRS.EOF)
      Images = True
      fsImagesArray = objRS.GetRows()
        Const arrKitID = 0
        Const arrImgKitCatalogue = 1
        Const arrKitDescriptionShort = 2
      Loop
    ' Close objConn and objRS
    objRS.Close
    strSQL = "SELECT * From tblMovements WHERE KitID = " & strKitID
    objRS.Open strSQL, MM_dbConn_STRING
    thanks
    John

    String values in a SQL where clause must be wrapped in quotes. Try this:
    strSQL = "SELECT KitID,ImgKitCatalogue,KitDescriptionShort FROM tblMovements WHERE KitID = '" & strKitID & "' ORDER BY KitID"

    It seems that you are using Oracle database and not Berkeley Database.
    To fix ORA-04031 errors on streams pool, you need to increase streams pool size with
    alter system set streams_pool_size=<the right value>;See recommandations in http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14229/strms_mprep.htm#i1006278

    Hi Bhanu,
    Needed some help defining the Precalculated Value Set as I wasnt succesful....
    Please suggest answers if possible for the questions below
    1) Can I use Filter Criteria for restricting the value set for the characteristic when I Define a Query on an ODS. When i tried this it gave me errors as below  ..
    "System error in program CL_RSR_REQUEST and form  EXECUTE_VTABLE:COB_PRO_GET_ALWAYS....                     Error when filling value set DELIVERY..
    Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE"
    2) Can I create a create a Value Set predefined on an Infoset -  Not Succesful as Infoset have names such as "InfosetName_F000232" and cannot find the characteristic in Paramter Tab for Value Set in Reprting Agent.
    3) How does the precalculated value Set variable help if I am not using any Filtering Criteria and is storing the List of all values for the Variable from the ODS which consists of 20 millio records.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Error - DRG-51030: wildcard query expansion resulted in too many terms

    Hi All,
    My searches against a 100 million company names table on org names often result in the following error:
    DRG-51030: wildcard query expansion resulted in too many terms
    A sample query would be:
    select v.* --xref.external_ref_party_id,v.*
    from xxx_org_search_x_v vwhere 1 =1
    and state_province = 'PA'
    and country = 'US'
    and city = 'BRYN MAWR'
    and catsearch(org_name,'BRYN MAWR AUTO*','CITY=''BRYN MAWR''' ) > 0
    I understand that is caused by the presence of the word Auto to which we append a * . (If i remove the auto the search works fine).
    My question is - is there a way to limit the query expansion to only , say 100, results that get returned from the index?

    Thanks for the reply. This is how the preferences are set:
    exec ctx_ddl.create_preference('STEM_FUZZY_PREF', 'BASIC_WORDLIST');
    exec ctx_ddl.set_attribute('STEM_FUZZY_PREF','FUZZY_MATCH','AUTO');

    exec ctx_ddl.add_index('xxx_m_iset','city, country');
    exec ctx_ddl.add_index('xxx_m_iset','postal_code, country');
    Users will always use city or postal code when searching for a name. When I run this query -
    SELECT dr$token
    FROM DR$XXX_EXT_REF_SEARCH_CTX_I1$I
    where dr$token like 'AUTO%'
    ORDER BY dr$token desc
    i get more than 1M rows.
    is there a way to include and search for the city name along with the org name?
    Thanks again..

    Hi Guys,
    I am using Oracle 9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.1.0 with Windows 2000 Server.
    I have just upgrade my database from 8i to 9i. I am facing this problem in a lot of queries in my application after upgrade. I tried to searched out but unable to find the reason yet.
    Is there any parameter which i should /should not use? Or need to change any parameter.
    Oracle Error Occured: ORA-12801: error signaled in parallel query server P000
    Thanks in advance.
    Brgs,
    Hassan

    Well, the error stack should be displayed along with the 12801 error.
    If not, look the comment for the error I posted above: use event 10397 to display the actual error.ALTER SESSION SET EVENTS '10397 trace name context forever, level 1'; and if the error raises, then you'll get the source message, not the PQ message.
    See note 21281.1 on Metalink.

    I am getting Compilation error when used SET or MULTISET operator on nested tables inside a procedure.
    This is working fine in other DB installations of 10g but does not work in another 10g DB.
    it says "wrong number of parameter or datatype used in SET"
    Can any one suggest what went wrong here?
    Thanks in advance.

    Can any one suggest what went wrong here?Only if you would post the query and Oracle versions on both databases.
    Besides, this forum deals with issues in Oracle product installation. So post this query in SQL PL/SQL forum for better response.

    One of your included JDBC driver archives has a class that matches the path provided by the JDBCDriver setting for the data server (likely the sqljdbc.jar file).
    If you take the JDBCDriver setting:
    com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
    and replace the periods for sub directories and add a .class on the end you'll have:
    com\microsoft\sqlserver\jdbc\SQLServerDriver.class
    So if you unpacked the jar file you'd find this java class (and the other ones included with the driver).
    Do you get the same error about 'publicgrouptag' and 'tag' objects when you test a tag query request for GroupList mode?  These tables/views would be used by the underlying queries used to populate the tag details tab in the WB.  Do you see these tables or view within the SQL Server?  Does the sa user have appropriate permissions?
