Error in Preview - XML Publisher Admin page

Hello-
I am having this issue where all templates are getting the same error when previewing under (R) XML Publisher Administrator-> (T) Templates-> (B) Preview in EBS 11.5.10.2. I am getting the error below after clicking on the preview button (prompted the Open/Save button) then open PDF.
Anybody who has experienced the same problem? The error is happening on all the templates but on preview only. I have cleared the temp directory but still the same error.

Error one \ts01\u00\app\ts01\common\admin\out\xdoDtSCIn59Vq010510_0131541560.fo (The system cannot find the path specified)
Our Application and database servers are the same and the path \ts01\u00\app\ts01\common\admin\out\ already exists and has all the permissions.
I almost wasted 2 days for just this issue. Any help would be really great!!
Thanks in advance.

  • Strange Error when previewing or publishing

    Hi Muse Family
    I am getting a very strange error when I publish to BC or when I go to preview in browser:
    "Adobe Muse has encountered an error.. blah blah"
    and then a very confusing:
    "There should not be such ID exists in the mapping"
    It forces Muse to close.
    I can't think of any significant step I took to cause this problem from when it was working.

    To enable the frequent release of new features within Muse, the team is always simultaneously working on many different improvements only some of which are completed and exposed in any given release. In the 2014.1 update some of the underlying code related to SVG support was unintentionally enabled. When copying and pasting from some versions of Adobe Illustrator (and other sources) the result may be an SVG vector graphic in Muse, rather than an image. While the SVG may appear to work in Design view, it can cause failures when exporting or publishing from Muse. This functionality will be disabled in an imminent dot release, 2014.1.1. We advise users to remove SVG content from their sites. Until 2014.1.1 is available, the graphics will need to be brought into Muse as .png, .jpg, .gif or .psd images using File > Place or Import, rather than Copy/Paste.
    Sorry for the inconvenience. SVG support will be fully implemented, tested and included in a future major update of Muse.
    Additional discussion in this thread <Re: I can paste vectors in muse now, it shows up in preview, and even in a browser preview, but not when I upload.>.

  • Preview Etext template in XML Publisher Desktop (Template Builder)

    Is there a way, or are there plans, to be able to preview an eText template using the template builder, in MS Word, like you can with PDF type templates. This is a great feature when creating PDF output and saves a lot of time. It would be great to be able to do the same for eText templates.
    Cheers,
    Dave

    You can create a dummy data definition and dummy template(etext) in xml publisher admin responsibility.
    For the Data definition , in the bottom if you scroll down you will see a link for upload preview xml data file.
    After uploading the xml file access your template and you can see a preview icon.If you click it you will see a txt file popping up
    thanks

  • Error Installing XML Publisher 5.6.3

    Hi
    I am getting an error when installing XML Publisher Desktop 5.6.3. I have installed the Microsoft .NET Framework 2 and JRE 1.5, but after the setup program starts get an error, Unhandled Exception , Error Number 0x800706AA, Description Products, Setup will now terminate.
    Checked on forum but couldn't see anything similar.
    Anybody have any ideas?

    You can use J2SE 1.5.0 if you follow the migration steps from the following note:
    Using J2SE Version 5.0 with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i
    http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=304099.1
    Apply 4372996 J2SE 5.0 CONSOLIDATED PATCH FOR USE WITH ORACLE EBS 11I
    txkrun.pl -script=SetJDKCfg -contextfile=$CONTEXT_FILE -runautoconfig=Yes -appspass=apps_password -jdktop=/usr/jdk1.5.0_11
    You will want to migrate to 1.4.2 first in order to upgrade to adkeystore.dat for jinitiator certificates to avoid the following error:
    Upgrading To J2SE 5.0 Gives adkeystore.dat No Such File Error
    http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=406675.1
    Using J2SE Version 1.4 with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i, Release 11.5.9 or Higher
    http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=246105.1
    Follow the instructions to migrate the AD utilities off 1.1.8:
    /usr/j2se = 1.4.2
    cd $AD_TOP/bin
    perl $AD_TOPbin/adjavamig.pl java=/usr/j2se contextfile=$CONTEXT_FILE
    Then regen JAR files will take 5 minutes instead of 60 on 1.1.8 adjava.

  • URGENT please !!! Problem with XML Publisher , OAF Integration

    Hi,
    I am trying to integrate an XML Publisher Report into OA Framework but running into issues.
    If you could help me or give any pointers I would greatly appreciate it.
    When run the report through Concurrent Manager, it runs without any problem. But, when I run
    it from OAF, nullpointer exception is raised at this statement i.e. datatemplate.processData();
    I did go through many threads related to this topic, but couldn't get any help.
    This is what I have done
    ========================
    1. Wrote a PLSQL package to generate XML output.
    BEGIN
    open c_person;
    fetch c_person into v_last_name;
    close c_person;
    fnd_file.put_line(FND_FILE.OUTPUT,'<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>');
    fnd_file.put_line(FND_FILE.OUTPUT,'<QUALIFICATION_REPORT>');
    fnd_file.put_line(FND_FILE.OUTPUT,'<CANDIDATE>');
    fnd_file.put_line(FND_FILE.OUTPUT,'<CANDIDATE_NAME>'||v_last_name||'</CANDIDATE_NAME>');
    fnd_file.put_line(FND_FILE.OUTPUT,'<QUALIFICATIONS_LIST>');
    FOR c1_Rec IN c_qual LOOP
    fnd_file.put_line(FND_FILE.OUTPUT , '<QUALIFICATION>');
    WritetoXMLForRTF('NAME' , c1_rec.name);
    WritetoXMLForRTF('CATEGORY' , c1_rec.category);
    WritetoXMLForRTF('START_DATE' , c1_rec.start_date);
    WritetoXMLForRTF('END_DATE' , c1_rec.end_date);
    WritetoXMLForRTF('SUBJECT' , c1_rec.subject_meaning);
    WritetoXMLForRTF('GRADE_ATTAINED' , c1_rec.grade_attained);
    WritetoXMLForRTF('HQ_STATUS' , c1_rec.hq_status);
    fnd_file.put_line(FND_FILE.OUTPUT , '</QUALIFICATION>');
    END LOOP;
    fnd_file.put_line(FND_FILE.OUTPUT,'</QUALIFICATIONS_LIST>');
    fnd_file.put_line(FND_FILE.OUTPUT,'</CANDIDATE>');
    fnd_file.put_line(FND_FILE.OUTPUT,'</QUALIFICATION_REPORT>');
    retcode := 0;
    END;
    2. Defined a concurrent program to call this PLSQL package/procedure.
    3. Defined a RTF template.
    4. Registered both the data definition and report template using XML Publisher Admin.
    5. Within OA Framework, I have coded as follows.
    Controller
    Process Form Request
    Added a button to invoke the report.
    if (pageContext.getParameter("AddlQualRptBtn") != null)
    OAApplicationModule am = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
    String p1 = "17965";
    String TemplateApplicationShortName = "CPC";
    String TemplateCode = "CPC_QUAL_RPT" ;
    BlobDomain result = (BlobDomain) getXMLData(p1,pageContext,webBean);
    Properties prop = new Properties();
    prop.put("html-image-dir",pageContext.getTemporaryImageLocation());
    prop.put("html-image-base-uri",pageContext.getTemporaryImageLocation());
    try {
    DocumentHelper.exportDocument( pageContext,
    TemplateApplicationShortName,
    TemplateCode,
    "en" , //Language
    "US" , //Territory
    result.getInputStream(),
    Template.TEMPLATE_TYPE_RTF, //OutputType,
    prop);
    } catch (Exception e)
    throw new OAException("Exception" + e.getMessage(),OAException.ERROR);
    getXMLData
    public BlobDomain getXMLData(String pPersonId, OAPageContext pageContext, OAWebBean webBean)
    BlobDomain blobDomain = new BlobDomain();
    OAApplicationModule oaapplicationmodule = pageContext.getApplicationModule(webBean);
    OADBTransaction oadbtransaction = oaapplicationmodule.getOADBTransaction();
    try
    String dataDefCode = "CPC_IREC_QUALIFICATION_RPT" ;
    String dataDefApp = "CPC";
    DataTemplate datatemplate = new DataTemplate(((OADBTransactionImpl)oaapplicationmodule.getOADBTransaction()).getAppsContext(), dataDefApp,dataDefCode );
    Hashtable parameters = new Hashtable();
    parameters.put("p_person_id",pPersonId);
    datatemplate.setParameters(parameters);
    datatemplate.setOutput(blobDomain.getBinaryOutputStream());
    datatemplate.processData();
    catch(SQLException e)
    throw new OAException("SQL Error=" + e.getMessage(),OAException.ERROR);
    catch (XDOException e)
    throw new OAException("XDOException" + e.getMessage(),OAException.ERROR);
    catch(Exception e)
    throw new OAException("Exception" + e.getMessage(),OAException.ERROR);
    return blobDomain;
    6. When I run the report from OAF the statement "datatemplate.processData();" generates Null Pointer Exception error.

    Hi TyskJohan,
    Thanks a lot for your reply, I appreciate it !!
    Here is the full error stack. I added many debug statements and identified that it exactly fails at datatemplate.processData();
    I did run the PLSQL procedure and it does creates the XML output properly. Also, the report works fine if I run it through Concurrent Manager. Is there any other way I can check from within OA Framework?

  • XML Publisher Arabic Report Display and missing header problem

    Hi All
    We are in apps. 11.5.9 with English and Arabic language support.Even though we have all our data and reports in English we are in need of an Arabic Invoice report.
    Since Titles cannot be typed in oracle report builder we decided to build the report in Xml Publisher.
    Every thing is done to run the report in xml publisher but we face two probles in the final xml output.
    Problem1. Header and footer are not displaying in the report.
    Problem2. Arabic characters are not displaying properly in the report.
    Here what ever titles we gave in Arabic are displaying good.
    If I save the xml file and load it in the templete and view output shows the correct arabic wordings.
    But when during taking the output directly from apps. then the problem comes. The Arabic fonts are not dispaying correctly.
    Any Idea about this.
    If any one come across this issue please mail me at [email protected]
    Habeeb

    Try to load the arabic fonts into XML Publisher Admin. Check Tim's blog for more info (http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2006/06/how_to_install_a_font_using_xm.html)

  • Parse Error in XML Publisher .rtf template during "preview"

    I've created a template based upon a working one with a few tweaks, but it does not work. It validates okay in XML PUblisher but the preview fails with this error:
    Caused by: oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XMLParseException: Attribute 'select' not found in 'xsl:for-each'.
    at oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XSLProcessor.reportException(XSLProcessor.java:806)
    at oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XSLProcessor.newXSLStylesheet(XSLProcessor.java:571)
    ... 14 more
    Since I don't have explicitly "xsl" anywhere, the actual problem is unclear to me. I have attached the template. I'd appreciate any sugestions. All I need to do is
    1. Loop through all Campus Community checklist items
    2. Loop through all STDNT_TEST_COMP rows
    As I cannot attach the template or sample data, I"m pasting below the relevant portion of the template, even though it may look odd in plain text.
    <?for-each-group:row_CHECKLIST_ITEMS;./fld_CHECKLIST_CD?>
    APP Materials     Associated ID
    <?for-each:current-group()?><?sort:fld_CHKLST_ITEM_CD;'ascending';data-type='text'?> <?if:fld_ITEM_STATUS='I'?> fld_CHKLST_ITM_DESCR
    fld_NAME
    fld_ASSOC_ID_DESCR
    <?end if?><?end for-each?>
    <?end for-each-group?>
    <?for-each:row_APU_AD_UG_EXT_TEST_SCORES?>
    TEST     COMPONENTS     SCORE     TEST DATE     DATE RECD
    <?B.TEST_ID?>     <?B.TEST_COMPONENT?>     <?B.SCORE?>     <?format-date:B.TEST_DT;'MM-DD-YYYY'?>     <?format-date:B.DATE_LOADED;'MM-DD-YYYY'?>
    <?end for-each?>
    Thanks.
