Error in RSCRM_BAPI

I am using RSCR_BAPI to get the query data in flat file.
When I restrict the query with fiscal year/period it is giving zero bytes file.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

When you execute the report in Bex do you have any blanks for your results for KFs? Make sure you have atleast zero displayed for these instead of blanks.

I also tried to use this t-code. but this has lots of restrictions..and its not recommended to use this t-code for complex queries.There are OSS NOtes out there for restrictions for this t-code.
I got to know from other forums on SDN that there is other RSCRMBW_REPORT FM. which is better to use. but not able to use it... there is specific way for that FM. If you try that and if it works for you please let me also know.

is the query working fine?? Otherwise use transaction RSRT2 and "generate a new report"! This should fix problems with query.

Error when getting data (RSDRI_CUBE_READ) - RSCRM_BAPI

Hello Gurus,
 I am getting a error when I try to create a extract using RSCRM_BAPI using Process Chain.
 I created a job and used that in the Process Chain, Once I run the Process Chain it is executing and
 the job is deleted and the extract gives me this error in the Monitor.
 Error Message - Error when getting data (RSDRI_CUBE_READ)
 If I run manually I am able to see the extracted records.
 Please help.

"Unknown error when executing MDX" is msg number BRAINOLAPAPI012.
Check out these 3 SAP notes:

Also test in transaction MDXTEST to see if your statements are syntactically correct.

RSCRM_BAPI giving Error in the OLAP-Check - Data Retraction

Hello,
we have an integrated planing using a cube in BW. From this cube data has been retracted to R/3 using a retraction query.
Problem: We needed to compress the cube due to to many partitions on the database. From that moment on the retraction failed yielding an empty query result. After investigating we found that this error appears on the Olap-Check in the RSCRM_BAPI transaction:
Original in German: InfoCube enthält Daten in seiner E-Tabelle.
Translated to english: The InfoCube has data in its E-Table.
For now we made a backup of the original cube, cleared the cube and loaded the data back into the cube. So we kind of compressed all requests into one due to the full load. But this is only a workaround.
Can someone give any hints or ideas how we can solve the retraction problem with a compressed cube without clearing it?

Follow these steps and hopefully it should resolve your query
1. If there is no table to link then Create a dummy table and link it in physical layer
2. Move it to BMM layer
3. In case the spreadsheet table also links to a table from another data-source then create the links from BMM layer only.
4. Move it to presentation layer and job done..

Error while Extracting data using RSCRM_BAPI

We are on 3.5 system upgraded recently. I am getting the following Error message while trying to extract data from a query to a table using the transaction RSCRM_BAPI. The Error message says ' Internal Error in Method CHECK_TABLE_NAME(RSCRMBW_EX_NAMESPACE_GET).
This was working fine prior to upgrade. I scoured all the OSS notes, could not find an appropriate one to solve the issue.
Have you had this problem and any thoughts on resolution ? Appreciate your inputs very much.

there are a lot of restrictions on objects to be used in query for Tcode RSCRM_BAPI, please check the corresponding How To doc in www.service.sap.com/bi in previous release section.
I think you are using an object not allowed for RSCRM_BAPI extraction.

Rscrm_bapi error

Hi,
i tried to execute a query using rscrm_bapi. After selecting a query, when i goto 'Query Definition' screen, i am getting warnings for some of the variables in the query.
S:RSCRM:260 0SALEORG
Message no. RSCRM260
I am getting this message for 5 other variables. I ignored these warnings. When i tried to extract the data to a file (I entered data in selection screen for 'SalesOrg').
I am getting the error: 'Query Metadata is not complete'.
I noticed that, when i execute the query without entering any data for 'SalesOrg' in the selection screen, I do not get any error. The problem is I have to make selections.
I generated the query without any problem using RSRT and RSRT2. Even now, i get the same error. How to resolve this?

Hi Guys,
I think i figured it out.
If we have variables in the query that have 'Can be changed during query navigation ' checked, then I was getting the warning. If I tried to enter any values for these variables, I was getting 'Query metadata is not complete' error.
But if you have these variables in filters, you shouldn't have a problem.
Thanks to A.H.P because I happened to see 'How to paper' posted by him in response to someone's question regaring rscrm_bapi. In this paper it has been mentioned that we cannot use 'Dynamically changeable' variables.

I'm using transaction RSCRM_BAPI to construct views to extract data from queries to tables.
I deleted one of the views to recreate the extract with a new filter, but gave me an error.
There is an issue with start variables and the filter.
But now I'm not able to recreate the view without the filter.
Also not able to create any view.
The error, sorry is in portugese, i'll try to get the english version.

Unfortunately, it's already in SP 22.
I made further tests, and if I create a copy of the query I'm able to create a new view and retrieve the extract.
Looks like only the older queries doesn't allow me to retrieve extracts now.

Error while doing BAPI extract using tcode RSCRM_BAPI

I am trying to extract a OLAP Bex query into a table. However, I am getting the error message that
Error: Metadata for extract /BIC/0CZCARRYOVR is inconsistent
Error: Error 0 when generating from extract /BIC/0CZCARRYOVR
Where ZCARRYOVR is my extract table. What could be the reason?
What had happened is that I created this extract table before and then deleted it from SE11. But now I cannot create the table while extracting. If I give a brand new table name then it works fine. Is there any place where table metadata is stores. I checked TADIR table and there was no extry. I should have used SE14 and delete the table from database but cant use it now since the dictionary table doesnt exist.

Error while using RSCRM_BAPI with remote cubes

Hi,
We are getting short dump while trying to use RSCRM_BAPI with hierarchies i.e.display hierarchies to extract data to a flat file.
We do get a warning that display hierachies are not longer supported in 2004s with RSCRM_BAPI and have been going on and on with SAP development. They are saying we need to find alternatives.
I wanted to know if anybody has tried using display hierarchies with RSCRM_BAPI in 2004s if not then I would like to know what are my options in getting a flat hierarchy report on to a flat file?
I dont think infospoke supports flat hierarchy extracts as infoproviders dont store hierarchy information.

Hi Uday,
This problem can occur if you changed the query definition.
In this case the query definition would be inconsistent with the existing extract structure.
Certain Meta information is maintained with each extract defined using the RSCRM_BAPI. If the definition of the query is changed and you need to use the same extract table then you need to delete the extract using the report RSCRMBW_DEL_ALL_EXTRACTS selecting the extract you want
to delete.
After this you could use the same table name for any further extract that you need to create.
One caution is that the extract table should not be deleted through any other transaction before you run the report.

Scheduling RSCRM_BAPI extract as a SAP job

Hi all,
Of late I have trying to executing Bex query extract thru RSCRM_BAPI and needed a way to be able to schedule an user defined job so for that so that I have control in terms of when I execute the job.
I went thru SDN and found this Function module RSCRMBW_REPORT which is supposed to do the part however I am getting a error since my BEx query has a variable screen and I dont know how I can take care of that. I am currently getting the error from the function module:
"The entry type of variable ZPM_MEDT requires you to enter values"
Where ZPM_MEDT is a date variable on my Bex report.
So the question is how do I get my variables to my Bex report while using Fn module RSCRMBW_REPORT. I tried Bex personalization it didnt work.

I seen this transaction running on back ground, unfurtunately I didnt run it but this is my experience.
We used it to run availability check every 4 hours and the system performance gets lows, of course it depends on technical architecture and volume of material. It reads every line on sales ordes that, in ours scenarios was so high (about 5000 lines in one day or more).
It works perfectly, but buffers get alarme on pics of the operations.
If you program it on low transaction volume, if can be very good, you may also talk before with your basis and explain him this performance issue, maybe he can help.
