Error in saving customer information. Value for contact_point_purpose must be a value defined in lookup type CONTACT_POINT_PURPOSE.

I was trying to create a text alert. I was calling following in jsp
email.setContactPointPurpose(myLookUpCode); //say XXMY_SMS_SHIP
PartyManager.createEmail(email, ApiConstant.CONTACT_POINT);
Getting following exception:
Error in saving customer information.
Value for contact_point_purpose must be a value defined in lookup type CONTACT_POINT_PURPOSE.

Tried this but it is giving the below error
APP-FND-01242: Cannot read value from field PER_ASSIGNMENT_ID
Cause: The field PER_ASSIGNMENT_ID could not be located or read.
Action: This error is normally the result of an incorrectly-entered field name string in a trigger, or a field name string that does not uniquely specify a field in your form. Correct your trigger logic to precisely specify a valid field.

I found http://wesunsolve.net/bugid.php/id/6595253 that is a bug of mkfs without workaround. Is ZFS what I need now?

Well, to fix the bug you referred to you can apply patch 141444-01 or 141445-01.
However that bug is just regarding an irrelevant error message from mkfs, it will not fix your problem as such.
It seems to me like the minimum value for nbpi on a multi-terabyte filesystem is 1048576, hence you won't be able to create a filesystem with more inodes.
The things to try would be to either create two UFS filesystems, or go with ZFS, which is the future anyway ;-)

Hi,
I have run into the same problem with SOA 11.1.1.5 version. In my case after fixing the following two errors it seems to work fine.
If you have followed the guide, there must be some errors:
First the java code if copied then contains an extra enter value:
Instead of:
"try {
System.out.println("Prototype for invoking an OIM API from a SOA Composite");
System.out.println("RTM Usecase: Self Registration Approval by Organization
Administrator");"
Use the following:
"try {
System.out.println("Prototype for invoking an OIM API from a SOA Composite");
System.out.println("RTM Usecase: Self Registration Approval by Organization Administrator");"
The other error is that you should not use <BEAHOME>/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jps_11.1.1/jps-manifest.jar, but the <BEAHOME>/oracle_common/modules/oracle.jps_11.1.1/jps-api.jar in jdeveloper. After these the deployment to the application server works fine for me.

I have never come across the error "Postprocessing Office not activated for synchronization process".
Anyway, In IMG, navigate to Cross-Application Components --> General Application Functions --> Postprocessing Office --> Business Processes --> Activate creation of Postprocessing Orders.
There check whether the settings are in line with standard SAP requirements but not sure this will solve the issue. Please update.

Oracle 10.2.0.3 , sol 10. (recently upgraded from oracle9i & sol8)

SQL is not changed at all. When run again , it populates correctly.
any help is highly appreciatied.

• What are the optimal values for mac and arp timeout values

Hi Guys.
What are the best values for "mac address-table aging-time" and "arp timeout" by following scenarios?:
- single sg300-10 as layer3-switch with a maximum of 10 local (direct connected) hosts
- and a 3750x-stack with 100 local hosts + hsrp with a other stack of the same sort
or for asa 5520 as internet gateway for 500 clients?
I use at the moment a mac aging-time from 300 seconds and a arp timeout from 3600 seconds.
Is this o.k.?
Thanks.

Marvel.
As far as enhancing the CLI, it will of course be enhanced when new firmware releases provide new features. As far as making it more IOS-like, best to my knowledge, no. The only other supported CLI on the SB switches are on the SX500 series and SX200E series which the CLI are all consistent. If you bought a SX500 series the commands are nearly identical minus the different feature sets.

• Setting values for items other than default value

How can I set the value of Items (hidden item, display item etc) without using any of navigational control such as list, select list or tree?
I have a two report region on a page and no navigation control. the requirement is only one region should be displayed at one point of time.
Condition that drives this are passed from other page through links.
The code is like this
For Region A
select * from table a where cola = :P_VALUE_FROM_OTHER_PAGE; //value passed is JOE
For Region B
select * from table a where cola = :P_VALUE_FROM_OTHER_PAGE; //value passed is JOHNnow there is the hidden item :P_HIDDEN that i am comparing in expression1 = expression2 conditions for each region
for e.g.
for region A
value in expression1 = expression2
P_HIDDEN = 1
for region B
P_HIDDEN = 2my issue is, where can I set values for P_HIDDEN item (set to 1 and set to 2) without any navigational control on the page.
Thanks,
R

The question I would ask is:
How are you determining which region you want to be displayed by default?
Either way, you could potentially use a 'before header' computation to calculate the value of your hidden item, although you'd also need to include some sort of conditional means of preventing the computation from running everytime to run the page (otherwise you'd never see your other region) e.g. you might only want it to run if the hidden item is null.

• Error when saving a default format for a date field in 11g

Getting this error when attempting to save the default for a date field in 11g:
The current xml is invalid with the following errors: Bad xml instance! <?xml version="1.0"?> <sawsavedformat:metadata xmlns:sawsavedformat="com.siebel.analytics.web/savedformat/v1.1"><sawsavedformat:columnSavedFormats><sawsavedformat:columnSavedFormat xmlns:saw="com.siebel.analytics.web/report/v1.1" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:type="sawsavedformat:regularColumnSavedFormat" columnName=""Retrospectives"."Time Dim"."Two Months Ago""><saw:displayFormat><saw:formatSpec suppress="suppress" wrapText="true" visibility="visible" hAlign="left" vAlign="top"><saw:dataFormat xsi:type="saw:custom" customFormat="MMMM dd, yyyy" displayTimeZone=""/></saw:formatSpec></saw:displayFormat><saw:tableHeading><saw:displayFormat><saw:formatSpec/></saw:displayFormat></saw:tableHeading><saw:columnHeading><saw:displayFormat><saw:formatSpec/></saw:displayFormat></saw:columnHeading></sawsavedformat:columnSavedFormat></sawsavedformat:columnSavedFormats></sawsavedformat:metadata>

Thoughts and suggestions?

I have a Support Request open with Oracle right now (it's taking a few weeks to resolve) but here's the update:
OBIEE 10g handles DATE types differently than 11g. Both the support rep and I can't figure out how, but they are different. If you bring the column in as a DATETIME in your Physical Layer you can't save it system-wide, even if you do set a time zone for your account (My Account -> Preferences -> Time Zone). If you bring the column in as DATE you can save it system-wide but you can't display the hours/mins/secs, only the M/D/Y. This has been tested on a 9i and 10g database and produced the same thing on both. The problem never occurred with those same columns using OBIEE 10g.
Oracle support has not fully admitted this as a bug, but the rep working on this SR said this will probably be fixed in the next release- 11.1.1.4, which is due out late Jan/early Feb of this year. He is trying to reproduce this so he can log it as a bug (which we all are hoping for!) so Oracle can address it.
For now, I've found that you are stuck with two options: 1) bring the column in as a DATE, display it system-wide as a saved format, but you can't show the time, and 2) don't save that date value with a system-wide formatting and set it manually on every report you need a custom format (don't forget to set your time zone).
If I hear anything more back from Oracle support I'll update this thread.
Sorry guys, looks like we're all stranded on this one...

• Error while saving custom form in SP 2010

Hi,
Iam Getting the below error, while trying to save a SharePoint list item using custom visual webpart. But the data is getting saved only error pop ups. Please help me
to solve this problem

As per the error, you may be using an SPWeb object which has been disposed already.
I am not sure how you are calling SPWeb object, i can only guess that you are using an Using statement within your code and could be disposing SPContext object, if so, try refactoring your code.
if would be better if you can put your code in this forum to suggest.
Anyways, you can refer here some of these links to get an idea.

• Regd : Error during saving the sales order for Variant configuration

Hi -
When the item( config material) is saved in the sales order , system scheduled the production order and getting an error as " Posting Rule for Assembly order for item 000010 could not be generated".
Any solutions regarding the error.

Hi,
This is the process of Assembly to order with variant configuration. In material master, you can maintain gen item category 0002 (configurable material) in basic data view, sales 2 view item category grp 0002 and strategy group 82 in MRP 3 view. After creating of material master, BOM & Routing, You can create sales order in VA01 transaction.
In this VA01, When you create sales order, system will check material availability, capacity checking and system will show variants for each items. And also when you will save the sales order, system will create production order no immdiately.
So you can maintain the above settings compulsory.
please let me know any clarification.
Regards,
Mohan

• Throw Information message for sale order created with value less that 5$

Hi all,
I am basically an abaper, I have got a requirement in SD. The requirement is any sales order created with value less that 5$, should be prompted with an error message saying the minimum order value should be more than 5$. Could any one help me on this.
Thanks in advance,
shiv

userexit_save_document_prepare,main program - sapmv45a, issue an error message if your document value is less than 5$ (VBAK-NETWR) but check if your order has any non-rejected item, I would not issue this message if all items are rejected:
loop at xvbap where updkz ne 'D' and abgru = ' '.
exit.
endloop.
if sy-subrc = 0. "-you have at least one non-rejected, non-deleted item.
NOTE: sapmv45a works NOT only for orders, so please check document types in your logic which are relevant to your messge only (VBAK-VBTYP and/or VBAK-AUART).
