Error in Substitution of rootAM on OpptyDetPG 12.0.2

Hi,
In Oracle Sales (ASN) , R12 RUP2,
Using JDev we are adding a new region with 2 Poplist fields with their own VOs on OpptyDetPG (opportunity Update Page).
While Substituting those 2 VOs to the rootAM of the Page. we are are unable Edit the rootAM and get the following error and the Wizard displays in readonly mode.
So cannot continue on the customization.
Error:
The following object referred to objects that could not be found.
Requesting all OAF experts to advise on this issue, and to validate the approach taken above.

You may probably trying to edit the rootAM in which case it will open in read-only mode with a message. I am sure the message is clear enough.
Try extending the seeded AM and create your cusom AM. Then create your version of OppDetail Page with custom AM as root AM. Rest is about creating/updating the menu/function.

I tried reinstalling mkinitcpio, but that does not seem to have any effect. What could be the problem here?

changing the shebang to #!/bin/bash instead of #!/bin/sh in mkinitcpio seems to get it working again.
but now I get the following:

Error in Substitution Rule

I have a scenario of the substitution rule to be used . When i try to create a substitution rule with ALL profile , the workitems are appearing in Substituted person inbox but when i specify particular task profile no workitems get displayed.

You need three things to be taken care of for this to work.
1) The standard task (TS) must be assigned to a task group.
This is done in PFTC for the individual standard tasks.
2) The task group must be assigned to a substition profile.
This is done in customizing, the same main node where you define substitution profiles (SAP Netweaver -> SAP Web Application Server -> Business Management -> SAP Business Workflow -> Basic Settings -> Substitution Profile). A task group can be assigned to many substitution profiles, and all task groups should be assigned to the ALL profile.
3) A substitute must be set up using the profile.
This you have already taken care of.

ERROR IN SUBSTITUTION

Dear All
We have many instances where in the transfer has to be done from a vendor account to another or Customer Account to another. We are on new GL and splitting is active based on profit center as a mandatory field. We have created a substitution rule with the following:
If T Code= F-02 and Document Type=DA or KP
Profit Center = reference1
In Table GB01, for boolean class 9, Profit center is allowed as a field which can be substituted. However, when we do the transaction and use the correct values profit center is not getting substituted by the value in Reference 1 field. Please suggest

Hi,
When you post the document using the TCODE : F-02, system will not save the header with the TCODE as F-02 - it will shows as FB01. For the FB50, FB60, FB70 it saves as it is and for f-43, f-53 it'll save as FB01.
Because of the above reason it is not updating.

Printing errors (font substitution?) in Reader 9.0

A client is having problems printing PDFs from Reader 9.0. The file is viewing correctly, but when she prints it, parts, but not all of the document text is printing as what she has described to me as 'Arabic looking' (I am going off her description, it probably isn't actually Arabic).
She seems to be having the same problem printing from various PDF files. The file that I supplied to her was designed in Indesign CS4, PDF'd using the 'Export' function out of Indesign (rather than saving as a .ps file and PDF'd using Distiller), with form information added in Acrobat Pro 9.0 (Windows versions). But as none of our other clients seem to be experiencing the problem and she is having problems with all PDFs that she prints, it doesn't sound like it is a problem with the file.
She upgraded from Reader 7.0 to 9.0 which she installed today. She is running Windows XP - not sure which version but 'it is an older one' according to her.
Any ideas? If I've supplied insufficient information, what other information should I be getting from her?

The file that I have sent her has both vector and raster graphics in it, and they were apparently printing fine. It just seems to be text that's not printing correctly.

Substitution varialbe does not exist Essbase error 1051083

Gurus,
I have a query about this error.
Essbase Error 1051083 - Substitution variable APP.DATABASE.YMNTH does not exist
This substitution variable is is created in global level - for ALL APPS/ALL DBS.
When users try to pull off reports in planning using this database, we get the error message mentioned above.
What could be reason we get this error even though we have the member available in the cube.
I know the substitution variable is defined without any issue, it has the name and value as well and we have those members in the dimensions. I believe, the report freezes during such report retrieval, so I think the freezing has to do with this as well.
Any advise?

By default Planning looks at specific app/db level variable, then at app level and then at global level. (Just checked that in 11.1.2.2.303 Planning and didn't see any issues)

Error running business rules

Hello All, We are currently experiencing the problem with the Business Rules. After some idle time in the application, we get an error "Cannot connect to essbase server" and the business rules fail to run.
We are using Planning: 9.3.1.1.5 and Oracle :10 R2
below are some details:
Last usage time: 5:27 PM on 7/7/08
User logged in at 7:27 AM on 7/8/08
the hbrlaunch.log file has the following Exception entry at 7:27 AM:

Creating rebind thread to RMI java.lang.RuntimeException: Unable to aquire activity lease on activity 1 as the activity is currently leased by another server.
The table: hbrplugindata in the AAS schema, is refreshed every minute.
A new record is inserted as per the logs, but there is only one record in the table. It could be that the delete command is not logged.
No exception are logged either. Could it be that there are exceptions during this operation and thus results in the failure of BR's?
Currently we have to restart planning and RMI services to get the business rules to be working again.

Hi, we have the same error (region definition error, rules in planning not running for approx. 15 min) - then suddenly working again.
This is a desaster, as planning users save not-calculated data and cause inconsistency in the system.
had this in planning 4 installation up to Aug.08 and then in system 9 (with planning patch 5) - rel. 9.3.1.1.5 using IBM Websphere -
all quick solution from hyperion did not really help: increase number of ports, java cache, change netrelay, netretryconect etc. in essbase.cfg and
Olap.server.net retry +Olap.server.net connect delay in essbase.properties files
Review business rules and users for errors, hardware, caches, fragmentation, potential system overload, search for corrupted database, invalid formulas in outline ...
it came out, that it was just 1 business rule causing this trouble: our only rule, where you enter in a user prompt a numeric value -problem is quotation marks.
we installed the cumulative Service Fix 11 for this (and other reasons) last week (takes approx. 4 hours to install with all the manual steps - just came out in May - Rel. 9.3.1.1.11)
as the error happened only from time to time in the peak of our planning session, we will monitor next months but are very optimistic to have things fixed (solution obviously in fix 9 already)

I suggest to install Service Fix 11 - if you read the manual, you probably find more fixed errors in there. (Patch is for Planning and BR Rules/AAS EAS)

Error messages after execution of RGUGBR00

When we execute report RGUGBR00, we get a few error messages of the type
001 Syntax error in substitution "1FP0001", step "001"
002 User exit UFP00 not declared in form pool ZGGBS000
Why do we get these? How do I solve this?

Interchange file substituting font without error or notice

WinXP, InDesign3,v5.0.2
InDesign3 file using Gill Sans Book, Gill Sans Reg etc, file has been exported to inx file to remove old plugin info. now when file is opened in CS3, InDesign replaced Gill Sans Book with Gill Sans Reg (no error or substitution notice, it is actually changed in the paragraph style).
is there another workaround for this snafu? Using Suitcase, Gill Sans font being used is 15 yr old Monotype font.

There was a bug in previous versions of ID where it couldn't distinguish between regular and book weights of a font. This may be connected to that, but I had thought that it would have been fixed by now.

Using a literal "." in sed regex

I recently picked up O'Reilly's _Classic Shell Scripting_.
Two of the examples have me stuck.
(1) Both the man pages on 10.4.5 and various references say that to get a literal period into the regex part of a s/regex/str/, use "\.". This command, however, ls -a | sed s/\./[hidden]/ replaces the first character of every line of input, as if the backslash is having no effect. In fact, the same one-liner without the backslash produces the same output. ???
(2) Using ampersand ("&") in the replacement text yields the sed error "unterminated substitution in regular expression", instead of macro-ing in the matched text of the regex. I.e., the command ls -a | sed s/file/Mark's &/ causes an error. ???
Bonus Question : Is MySQL really preloaded with OS X and, if so, where do I find it?

   Thanks for providing the exact command that you used. You would be surprised at the number of people that would simply claim that it doesn't work. However, it's easy to see what's happening with your command. The problem is that sed never sees your backslash. It is used for quoting in the shell as well as in sed. Thus, the shell "consumes" the backslash before the argument is passed to sed. The following should do what you want:
ls -a | sed 's/^\./[hidden]/'
Note also that I've added the beginning of the line anchor, '^', to your regular expression as I doubt that you want to replace the period that separates filenames from filename extensions.
   Regular expressions share many meta-characters with shells. It is common to use single quotes to "protect" regular expressions in arguments to utilities that consume regular expressions.
   The problem in your second sed command is the apostrophe in the name. The shell sees that as a single quote. I'm surprised that your shell executed the command when you pressed the <Return> key. However, you will probably also need to quote that sed argument as well because an ampersand preceded by a space also has meaning to most shells. Something that should do what you want is the following:
ls -a | sed "s/tst/Mark's &/"
Double quotes will protect both the single quote and the ampersand. However, double quotes don't protect all meta-characters from the shell. Single quotes are often necessary, even though they aren't required here.
   Unfortunately, preceding a single quote with a backslash within single quotes doesn't quote it because the single quotes quote the backslash so it doesn't do anything. Therefore, you must take single quotes out of single-quoted strings to quote them. Hence, the following will also work:
ls -a | sed 's/tst/Mark'\''s &/'
In this command the argument to sed is actually the concatenation of three strings, the second of which is simply a quoted single-quote.
   Tired of hearing the word "quote" yet? It can get a bit messy. However, once you learn the rules of precedence, the above becomes second nature with practice.
   Bonus Answer: No, mysql doesn't come with the client version of OS X. I don't think it comes with the server version either but I don't have one so I can't really say.

ERP Delivery/Transfer Order u2013 CRM Billing

Hi everybody,
Iu2019m new to this forum and I hope that this is the right place to post my request.
Iu2019m currently developing a course in CRM and face a problem. We use an IDES client of the UCC and I try to accomplish a sales order in the CRM System, process the delivery/transportation in the ERP backend and after the delivery is completed, there should be a billing due list item created in the CRM System. The problem is, that there is no Billing Due Item created/transferred to the CRM System. Here is how the process works:
Transaction Code: CRMD_BUS2000115 bzw. CRMD_ORDER
1.     Transaction Type is Sales --> Sales Process (Item Category ZSAL)
2.     Type in the following data
   a.       Sold-to Party     300025 (01Megastore)
   b.       Product          HT-1000
   c.       Quantity          1
3.     Save the document.
4.     Go to the ERP System and check whether the sales order was transferred (Transaction Code: VA02)
5.     Create a Delivery Document (Transaction Code: VL01N). Shipping Point is 3800 (Denver) and date is
        todayu2019s date + 1 week. Save the document.
6.     Create the Transfer Order use the following settings:
a.     Warehouse number          038
b.     Plant                            3800
c.     Delivery                       the number of the delivery
d.     Foreground/Backgrnd.     System Guided
e.     Adopt Pick Quantity             2 (Include pick, quantities in delivery and post Gl)
f.     Press Enter and save.
After I create the Transfer Order the delivery should be completed and since the Item Category of the Sales Transaction Type is ZSAL and ZSAL is set to be Delivery-Related, there should be a Billing Due Item created in the CRM System. So far the theory!
Now thatu2019s where the problems begin:
1.     There is no Billing Due Item created in the CRM System
2.     I try to create a billing due in the ERP System here I get the Error message, that the u201Cgoods issue has
        not been posted for deliveryu201D
3.     I take a look at the delivery (vl02n). Here the deliveryu2019s status is still at u201Cbeing processedu201D
4.     I try to u201Cpost good issueu201D manually.
5.     I get the error message u201CSyntax Error in substitution u2018Reg_SUBu2019, step u2018001u2019u201D
The error message long text is:
Syntax error in substitution "REG_SUB", step "001"
Message no. GB032
Diagnosis
A syntax error was found in substitution REG_SUB during the ABAP code generation.
System Response
An ABAP code is not generated for this Boolean statement and the statement is evaluated as FALSE (in ABAP include GBTWMFIC).
Procedure
Correct substitution REG_SUB using substitution maintenance.

Hi Stephanie,
I just wanted to point out two things:
1. As Dinesh explained already, the first scenario is mostly used if the Logistics Execution (delivery, transportation) happens in ERP, and billing was already set up and used in ERP. But in principle you can also use CRM Billing in connection with Logisitics Execution in ERP. This means you create your sales order in CRM, your delivery and so on in ERP, and then you can bill the order or the delivery in CRM. The advantage of this is that you are able to bill e.g. sales order and service order items in one invoice.
2. In the second scenario you can upload orders to ERP (if you want to do Logistics Execution), but is is not necessary (if you don't do LE). And it is not necessary and not possible to upload billing documents to ERP. CRM transfers automatically or manually the billing document to ERP FI and creates and Accounting document. So it is fully integrated without replication and without using ERP Billing.

Select Members in Data Forms via UDA or Substitutionvariable

Hello,
I want to select members in row or colum dimension of a Planning data form via an UDA. But it is only possible to select members via hierarchy (member, sibling, parent,...).
Is there a possibility to select members via UDA?
What I tried is:
1.) in the definition of the dimension members for the dimension "Period" in the data form I filled in: "@UDA(Period,FC01)".
I get the error "The member @UDA(Period does not exist or you do not have access to it."
2.) Instead of the UDA I tried to use a Substitutionvariable "&PER_LIST"
This works if the Substitutionvariable contains only one member. It doesn't work if it contains more than one member (comma-separated list).
I get the error: "A substitution variable required for this calculation is undefined. Variable: PER_LIST" (even though the variable exists and I selected it in the member selection dialog)
Can anyone help? I'm using Hyp. System 9.3.1.

I would love to see the ability to select EDA's from Planning Forms, it would definately make life a little easier.
As CL says, attributes are great at filtering forms and BR's, their only drawback is that you can only use them on sparse dimensional members.
To get round this problem i've relied on security to filter out the accounts i do not need to see in the forms for the specific users, and kept the form selection on @IDESCENDANTS(Account_Parent).
If you wish to filter on the Period dimension and this is a dense dimension, can you not get round the problem with rollups and, for example, @DESCENDANTS(Q1) to only return 3 months in the form, it really depends on your outline structure.

FMS on FreeBSD!

Hey, i have tried to install FMS on FreeBSD 6.1 by emulating
fc4... the install went well, but i cant start the server.
I just get the message:
getconf: no such configuration parameter
`GNU_LIBPTHREAD_VERSION'
./server: 49: Syntax error: Bad substitution
Can someone see a solution to this?

Also, FMS on AWS does NOT require any License or Key. It works on a separate Licensing model.

PLACEHOLDER Syntax for multiple Input Variables

I am trying to pass multiple paramter values (not multi-value) it works when the first parameter is passed but does not work when I add the second parameter value. I need to pass 4 different paramters and the statement is below..
The placeholder sysntax works with hard coded values or only one PARAMETER is passed.... as below...(For clarity I aligned the placeholder syntax....

I found an issue and fixed it. It is a simple fix within Data Foundation where the paremeters are defined, just change the Parameter text to be different and it validates fine.
