Error installing Photoshop CS6 on windows 7
Hi. Edward here. I have a problem trying to install photoshop cs6. This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance. So i dont know what to do. help please
I did it already. but im still getting the error. this is starting to get anoying. I need Photoshop cs6 for my work. isnt there another way to fix it? Please.

Error installing Photoshop CS6 (Design and Web Premium)
A similar error occurs if I try to install all of CS6.. I've had Revo Uninstaller delete all the registry keys/leftover files and tried reinstalling.. I've tried installing MS Visual C++ 2010 independently of the install. No dice. I have homework due tomorrow (of course) and my photoshop broke.. And will not install now..

Disc Space error on Photoshop CS6 Extended install
I am attempting to install Photoshop CS6 Extended (win version) on my Windows 7 ( 64 bit) machine. Core 2 duo CPU @3.16gh with 8 gb or ram.
The machine meets all the minimum requirements and has more than enough disc space.
This is the error I get during initial extraction. "A problem occured while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and write privileges on the destination folder. "I am the admin, the folder has permissions set correctly.
Also, I tried to read the "installation instructions" found in the CD and am unable to read the file as it says it is corrupted. Anyone else running into this issue?if that's a problem with your cd, download a trial of ps cs6 and install/activate using your serial number:

Cannot install Photoshop CS6 ugrade to Photoshop CS4 on Windows 7 PC.
I cannot install Photoshop CS6 upgrade to Photoshop CS4 on my Windows 7 PC. Error reads - Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifing product could not be found on this computer. I then selected CS$ as the product and entered the serial number with Error - This serial number is not for a qualifying product. CS4 is currently running on the PC. Any advise?
If you recently purchased CS6 as an upgrade then the versions that qualify for the upgrade were reduced a couple years ago to only include CS5 and CS5.5. If you purchased CS6 a couple years ago while CS4 was still in the upgrade path then you should contact Adobe support using chat and see if they can help you get thru the activation.

I got these error messages while installing photoshop CS6, and illustrator cs6 on my laptop.

After I read about this error message, I was able to download (86) version from Microsoft's web, since it was installing it as a new, but failed to install (64) since it was trying to
repair it, and failed.
I have Windows 7 on my laptop.
I was able to open programs, and I am not sure what the consequences are of these errors.

I am trying to re-install Photoshop CS6. The files have downloaded but I get and error message that the Adobe Support Advisor is required to determine what the installation probIem is. I click on the link that says "get the Support Advisor here only to be told the Support Advisor no longer exists!! A blind loop. I need to have Photoshop CS6 installed...what do I do from here??
The CC Cleaner Tool assumes the Akamai Download Manager is activated and it has not. It seems to be the missing file that triggers the error message. \in a previous re-install I was prompted to download & install the Akamai Download Manger, but not this time. Is there somewhere on the Adobe website that I can download it??

I am having the same problem. I did download the two files and started the .exe file. The .exe file appears to run downloading files. When the bar is full the window dissapears without any options. Both files are in the same folder. any thoughts?

i have photoshop cs5 upgrade installed on a windows 7 pc. can i purchase photoshop cs6 upgrade from adobe and install it on a windows 8.1 windows pc.this is important because i do not want to purchase a new pc and then find i cannot purchase and install photoshop cs6 onto it.
Inasmuch as you are allowed to purchase a perpetual license for Photoshop CS6, there's no technical reason you can't install it on Windows 8. When an upgrade installation asks about the prior product, you need only give it the serial number of your Photoshop CS5 license.
