Or something like this.... Anyways I've turned off all remote desktop settings for Win7 and am still getting this message during the render process. Possibly happens when I've walked away and the screen saver comes on (Bubbles screen saver).
How do I tell the program the remote desktop settings are disabled? Or why does it think there are remote desktop settings enabled?
The stuff when you do a video chat... Since this also uses hardware acceleration and can be routed e.g. directly through your monitor's HDMI cable on cameras built into the monitor frame, it might cause Windows to disable some features or switch to a different visual theme occasioanlly. Same might happen even with conventional USB cams... Something to do with device priority in Win. Well, anyway, without deeper diagnosis I don't think we wil lever get to the bottom of it. Just too many variables here, so try to find a resident computer geek near you and figure it out....

Ipod nano firewire error and will not turn off! PLEASE help
I am having the exact same problem as I see may of you unfortunate Apple users are. I am receiving the error message about firewires and I have never used one. The nano will not turn off and I have to let the battery run out. The play/pause function works perfectly fine, but not to turn off the nano. The sleep function does not do anything either. I am so disappointed with Apple because they would not help me on the phonbe since it is well past my first 90 days of ownership. I may have gotten a single drop of water on it, but that was about 2 weeks ago, and still having the same problems. I don't know what to do, but I see that Apple has gotten mighty rich off of their JUNK products! Anyone out there, help me please!
Do a reset. You will not lose any data: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Lastly try restoring to factory settings.
If none of this works, it's probably a hardware problem. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your Apple store. You are under warranty and they will fix or replace it on the spot. -
after trying to remember my new pass code and failing, my iphone disabled and is now telling me to connect to itunes, ive done that and tried instruction to restore from back up however when i do that i get an error msg saying that i need to turn off the app find my iphone to b able to restore, i cant do that tho because i cant use my phone and i dont see app on my computer on itunes either???what do i do >??

The only way is to login to iCloud with your computer browser and wipe the iPhone.
If you can't then you have a brick, Apple won't help and AL cannot be bypass.

I backed up my iPhone 3GS to iCloud. Activated my iPhone 5 and restored it from iCloud. But iPhone 5 will not backup to iCloud, only to my MacBook. When I try to turn it on on the phone it gives me an error that I must turn on Wi-Fi or turn off Airplane mode. Wi-Fi is on an the phone is talking to the internet just fine and airplane mode is off, but I still get the error. Is this a known problem?
You mean take the cover off of the iPhone, to look inside? I'd recommend against it. Even with warranty expired, you might qualify for an out-of-warranty service, which for 3GS is $149.
Other than that, any repair/service options are going to cost money. You might want to see if a wireless carrier will let you get a new contract & phone.
Out of curiousity, you're just using at as, basically, an iPod Touch, if there's no cell provider? Did I understand that correctly? -

When I am trying view Statements(PDF) in my application with Adobe Reader 10/11 versions , for few statements it triggers " There is problem with Acrobat / reader. If it is running, Please exit and try again(523:523)". In few forums it has been stated that by turning off the protected mode at start up " Edit-->preferences-->general-->Enable protected mode at start up" resolves this issue. But the client doesnt want to turn off " Protected mode"due to security reason. Can any one help me with this?

3) I am not opening the PDFs in Browser instead I am opening through the application in which Adobe Reader is linked to it to view the PDF files.
I have also updated to Adobe Reader 11.0.08. Still the problem persists.

Video Error and the camera turns off
I really hate this camera
The latest failure to operate in shooting HD video.
After 2-3 minutes of shooting i get the error message:
Press Button to Activate Movie Shooting
I was using a Lexmark 400x Class 10 card and yesterday upgraded to the SanDisk Extreme Pro 600X card. I still get this error.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this? It mades video shooting useless if it turns itself off.

A card can be rated to write at certain speeds, like 90 MB/s, but that is almost always not the sustained write speed. A card can burst write up to that speed, but needs to be able to maintain a constant speed that is high enough to keep up with the camera during video recording. In this case, the card you use needs to have a sustained video write speed of at least 30 MB/s. Check with the manufacturer of the card to make sure your card is fast enough.

by reset option do you mean the DFU restore? worked for me, have you tried that?
if not - hold the lock and home button until the power down bar comes up. then hold the lock button for ten seconds - next continue to hold the lock button and press the home button for ten seconds - next release the lock button and hold the home button for 10 seconds. this should be done with the phone tethered. If done right and your itunes is configured as such, the phone will reload the drivers and start up itunes, and then prompt for a restore/update. -
X201 Fan Error when ME / AMT turned off
Well. upon further investigation I decided to deem intel AMT a security risk, as I read through countless intel docs.
So entered the config of it and set it to disabled.
Now having done this, the laptop reboots and works as usual EXCEPT the fan does not work and the device gets really hot.
Then I wanted to check in BIOS config for any Fan settings to see, when I enter "Configuration" submenu the biosmenu freezes until the laptop is powered off manually.
I tested it a few times, tested other settings that seemed to be able to have an impact on that situation to no avail.
As soon as I turned ME/AMT back on the fan works again and the config menu in bios does not freeze.
It has the latest bios and ME Firmware from the downloads page.
How can I disable ME without having the thing toast itself to death?Add to your code following statement

Funnily enough, I run VMWare Workstation 9 and Firefox also crashes in WIndows XP in there.
Wondering if it has to do with the ASUS drivers. I have updated the drivers to the latest version, but the problem is still there. To be fair, It also happens wih Chrome and IE.. This is why I am suspecting a driver issue.

To check the local network for some of the common configuration problems, launch Terminal.app and issue the following diagnostic command:
sudo changeip -checkhostname
That'll report some local configuration information and then either no errors detected and no changes required, or it'll point to whatever configuration errors or issues it might detect. That doesn't catch everything, but it catches the common errors.
FWIW, 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24 are poor choices for the local network, as VPNs are based on IP routing and IP routing gets tangled when the same subnet is used on both ends of the VPN. 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24 are near ubiquitous in home networks and coffee shops. -
Java Script is disabled on my HP laptop. I have done the obvious things. It still will not enable Java Script. What do I try next?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
