Error message -1073807298 when connecting through TCP

I get the error code -1073807298 when I try to connect to a TCP raw socket VISA resource, the weirdest thing is that I actually can read the result of the queries I make. I fixed the problem reading one byte at a time but this is very inefficient (it uses a while loop) and I still get warnings, so I'd like to know if there is a way to fix this or if there is an equivalent of the "Serial Settings: Number of Bytes at Serial Port" for VISA TCP connections....
This is the WARNING that I get when I read one byte at a time:
Warning 1073676294 occurred at VISA Read in LV.vi
Possible reason(s):
VISA:  (Hex 0x3FFF0006) The number of bytes transferred is equal to the requested input count. More data might be available.
This is the ERROR  that I get when I set the byte count to 1024:
Error -1073807298 occurred at VISA Read in LV.vi
Possible reason(s):
VISA:  (Hex 0xBFFF003E) Could not perform operation because of I/O error.
I enclosed the VI for your review,
Thanx in advance for your help,

Hi,
While there is no equivalent of the "Serial Settings: Number of Bytes at Serial Port" for VISA TCP connections, one strategy is to make the first byte in your TCP string to contain the number of bytes to follow it.  That way you can read that byte then know what to set the byte count to.

    Hi,
I am trying to retrive data from an instrument through serial port as well as USB,
My vi works smoothly while connecting through serial port.
But when i try to connect through USB Error code-1073807298
is coming. This error comes when visa try to write to the instrument.
From visa configure serial port.vi  no error is coming.
Can someone suggest a method to solve this problem...

  • Error message appears when connected to computer

When I attempt to connect my original iphone to my pc in order to update...an error appears."Cannot connect iphone due to unknown error 0xE8000012" A week ago I was able to plug it in, what's going on? I have the latest itunes 8.2

I had that happen to me too once, don't know if it was the same error code, but powering off the Iphone (by holding down the top botton till it popped up the red shutdown slide) and powering it back on fixed the problem.

  • Error trying making a connection through TCP/IP

Hi, i have build a measurmentsystem with Schneider Elektric devices. All kinds of elektrical data are measured by a powermeter PM710. This device is coupled with the Ethernet gateway EGX100 with RS485. This gateway at his turn is coupled with the internal network. When i am trying to get the values out of this gateway i get an error 63: Possible reason(s):

I get error message 42032 when trying to connect an iPhone to iTunes. Any ideas how to fix it?

Did you already try these suggestions?
    Check USB connections
    Related errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response,” and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
    Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you checked your connections and are still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues.

  • When I try to connect to App Store,I get an error message stating "cannot connect to iTunes Store.  I show 3 bars on wifi connection

When I try to connect to App Store, I receive an error message stating, "cannot connect to iTunes Store.  I show 3 bars on my wifi connection?  Can someone help...why if I tap App store, does a iTune error message display?

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Try the following.
Go to Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (This removes your data from your device, but not from your account, it will be added back later).
    Restart the device.
Sign in again (Settings > iCloud, don't use the 'Create New Apple ID' button).

    Hi,
    I have a 10g database with a little table (2 columns, 9 rows).

I'm re-reading some docs on exactly how to "walk the clock" in reading the above. If you are interested, see if you can find a copy of "Optimizing Oracle Performance" by Cary Milsap. It goes into great detail about how to interpret these traces.
The "ela" value is the elapsed time of the wait, in micro-seconds (1 ms = 0.000 001 second). Unless I've slipped a decimal position, you have 0.52081 sec (a whisker more than one-half second) in network wait time, that doesn't exist on the bequeath connection. That is your "about 500 milliseconds".

I get error message -42408 when trying to download itunes update 11.0.2 and I therefore can not update to that latest version.  What can I do?

    Hey there davidgor2!
I have found an article that should help you resolve this issue with updating your iTunes. The article can be found here:
    iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297
and the specific part of the article you will want to look at first is right here:
    "Error 42023" through "Error 42408"
These alerts might occur when trying to authorize iTunes or during launch when iTunes checks for authorization information.
Install the latest iTunes from apple.com/itunes/download/
    Remove the SC Info folder.
If that does not resolve the issue, see iTunes: "Error 42408" or "Error 42404" after upgrading to iTunes 9.0.3.

  • I set up ITunes etc. but keep getting the same error message: itunes cant connect ....error

I'm getting very annoyed. Last night I bought an Ipod Touch for my son's birthday today. Tried to set it up last night...no go. I figured I was just tired and thought to try again this morning. I hooked the Touch up to my PC (running WIn7 Ultimate), downloaded the latest ITunes and set up "my" Apple ID. The fact I had to use my Visa was another annoyance. I set up HomeShare on his and my PCs and figured I'd activate the IPod from his PC, because it said on the acct. page that you could activate the acct. on only one computer. I plugged it in and got the " usb to itunes" image on the ipod screen, opened Itunes, checked for updates and it was the latest version. It said I have activated it on 2/5 PCs and before I could do anything else, I got the error message: " iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)" which pops up everytime. Still haven't seen the "app screen" on the ipod. I must say I'm rather disappointed with Apple after hearing how good it is. Doubt if I'll ever buy a Mac PC. They seem to be worse than MS for proprietary bs. If I can't get this working soon it's goin back.If anyone has had the same problem, I'd appreciate any feedback Thanks.

Have a look at the articles mentioned  here:http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694
Unknown Error containing "0xE" when restoring: To resolve this issue, follow the steps in iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Unknown error containing '0xE' when connecting.
