Error message "unable to connect with server. Check wifi connection"

I started having the error message "unable to connect with server. Check wifi connection" when I attempt to use search function within a certain apps and when I try to download certain magazine (eg. National geographic). I didn't have this problem with I first started using iPad, and no problems with connectivity when using other apps. Can anyone help?

You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

HT1430 I am getting a message asking me to enter my Facebook password in the Settings. However, when I enter it, I get the message "unable to communicate with server." It's driving me crazy!

I can't connect with the Facebook server. When I tried to connect with Facebook when playing Candy Crush, I got the message to "enter password for "" in Settings. When I go to Settings, it says "There was a problem accessing your account. Please reenter the password for [my name]." I had the same problem a couple of weeks back.
What I did was that I restarted that Ipad of mine and voila!
Problem solved!

halfway through downloading an album from the Itunes store, i've got the error message 8003. This talks about checking my connection (which is fine and always has been). It downloaded fine onto my Iphone and Ipad. I trawled through the support pages and they just suggested you needed the latest version of Itunes on my system (11.1.5) which I've got. Any ideas?

You've tried the troubleshooting for that error on the TS3297 page that you posted from ?
"Error -50," "-5000," "8003," "8008," or "-42023"
These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.

Error message - Unable to find proxy server - how can I solve this problem

When I try to enter some sites I get the error message: Unable to find the proxy server, Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that can't be found. This happened suddenly and I'm not sure why or how I can fix it, it doesn't help that most help site are blocked. Im using a Mac 10.5.8 and Firefox 15.

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

C6 unable to synchronise with server

c6, latest software installed, push email working fine but Ovi Sync is unable to synchronise contacts, calender & notes entries, getting error "unable to synchonise with server" checked internet connection, its working fine.

That looks like some server problem from nokia. I also checked it now and got the same error message. Try after some time. It was OK two hours ago when i checked my contacts.

When I launch the trial version of Muse CC I get the error message 'Unable to connect to server;. I'm definitely on-line, McAfee doesn't appear to be blocking any communication. Don't know what to do next. Any ideas?

there has been a big problem with facetime and imessage. The best solution for this case is to restore your device http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Make sure you back it up. and I would set up facetime before you reinstall your backup and make sure its working.

I'm experiencing the same problem. Don't think I can help, but maybe I can offer an explanation. It looks as if Flickr has changed their API and Adobe will need to update the export plugin to comply to get it working again. I found this announcement on Flickr:

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.
I've been using this printer for several months. Now am getting an ERROR message when I try to scan to email that it "cannot connect to server. check server name and address"
I'm not sure how to check this. We can all still print remotely via the internet connection.
Anyone have any ideas?

Trying to access my iCloud account but keep getting error message 'unable to connect to server'. Need help please.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following.
Go to Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (This removes your data from your device, but not from your account, it will be added back later).
Restart the device.
Sign in again (Settings > iCloud, don't use the 'Create New Apple ID' button).

Have you tried a hard reset of the iPod to see if that helps? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Otherwise, work through each of the troubleshooting suggestions in this Apple support document as necessary.
