Error message when importing songs

Hi. I get an error message - unknown error occurred while converting ... Ox77686174 etc - when I try to import songs from CD to itunes. It might happen with one song or with a whole CD. Very frustrating!! Also some songs do not import properly, eg, only get 30 secs or miss first secs of song. Any ideas. Thanks

Error Message when importing songs from CD

I am a newbie with a 30gb iPod video. I have been able to import multiple cd's to the iPod without any problem. I am now receiving the message "Some of the songs in the Itunes music library including the song "xxxx" were not copied to the iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod." I have searched around and can't find any reference to this message. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup”, we can know that the issue is caused by the there is no sufficient disk space in filegroup 'PRIMARY' for the ‘REPORTING’ database.
To fix this issue, we can add additional files to the filegroup by add a new file to the PRIMARY filegroup on Files page, or setting Autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup to increase the necessary space.

Error message when importing CD's into iTunes.

I've just started getting an error message when importing audio CD's into itunes. +"Error occured while converting the file "........". The disk could not be read from or written to."+ I've been importing CDs for years now and this just started happening last night. The disk image shows up on the desktop, itunes opens and recognizes the disk and searches the database and finds the artist/track names/album etc. Then when I click the import button, I get this message. If I click on the disk image in the desktop and click on a specific file it will play through iTunes. No new changes except for maybe downloading the latest iTunes update. Any suggestions? Iron-Mike, MP3 and AAC were both invented well after CD audio and both algorithms are well aware of CD format. Make sure you have "Soundcheck" settings turned on both for iTunes playback and for CD burning. iTunes Soundcheck is supposed to normalize the volumes in spite of variations in the files. Don't worry I've sorted it! I just had to turn off Reminders as well in iCloud. Calendar then worked fine, even when I turned Calendar and Reminders back on.

Get an error message when importing from iPhoto says, "There is not enough free space on your Aperture Library volume to import the selected items. It is estimated that you need at least 44GB of free space."

I'm guessing this is an extrenal drive, correct? If so make sure the library you're importimng into is really located on the external drive. By default Aperture creates its library in your home pictures folder.

Error Message When Importing Bookmarks From A Network Share

An error message is generated whenever I try to import bookmarks.html from a network share on kubuntu. This same operation is sucessful on the windows version of firefox.
To replicate:
The bookmarks.html is created by Firefox 3.68 on windows 7. And is saved to a network share location. When trying to import this file into firefox 3.6.8 on my kubuntu 10.04 machine, I get the error message/window titled: remote files not accepted. The message states: You can only select local files.
If I copy bookmarks.html local to the kubuntu machine, it imports without error.
On windows, I can import bookmarks.html from the network share without error.
Does anyone know why I can't import across the network on the kubuntu version?

It appears to be any remote file, not just the bookmarks file. When trying to upload a file to a website, firefox threw up the same error:
error message/window titled: remote files not accepted. The message states: You can only select local files.
So what is it about files that are sitting on a server, firefox and kubuntu that causes this? I don't get the error message when using win7 on the same files.

Hi all Thanks for the rapid response. However I have sort of found the problem but not the solution. I tried loading direct from the card but that failed in the same way. So I had a think what had changed and it was only one thing. It has always worked before because I was using my XP desktop machine. I am now using a W7 laptop. So I went back to XP and hey presto, it worked. SO what does that mean? Any ideas?? Only obvious difference is the OS. In answer to why I am loading from Photoshop. I have loaded 150 video clips from the card from a compact camera.( Been on safari!) I am using PS to sort and tag for various things, then send one group to PE . I ended up that route because they loaded into PS and not PE. So in summary:- I cannot load either directly from card or via PS, video clips into PE on W7, but I can on XP. I can load same into PS and view OK in PS on W7. In case you need further info, but I suspect its a windows issue? OS=W7, PE V7, PSV7, On the W7 PC it says... BIT rate=705kps!,Sample Rate=44khz,Channel count =1 Says image is avi but I thought it was mpeg Nothing else running Its a big fast empty machine, you could have the numbers if you really want but I don't think its relevant Sorry its abit long . ITunes 7 gives error message when playing songs off ipod

Whenever I connect my ipod to my computer and use itunes to play songs from it...it gives me the following message whenever a song plays.
"iPod is in use and cannot be updated. The required file is in use."
Does anyone know why this would be happening? I have my iPod set on manual update and I have already installed and run the new iPod update so I have no idea why this is happening.

Getting Error Message when importing iTunes Music to iMovie 6?

Am I missing something? I used to be able to import my iTunes music to a movie creation in iMovie 6. I'm now getting an error message "Error during import. The file could not be imported: The file could not be found."
I have moved my music to an external drive - don't know if that made a difference.

Interesting...I have moved my iTunes music onto the external drive probably six months ago. That music still works off the external via iTunes. I just looked in iTunes and my preferences are showing my local drive to store music. And recent music that I have purchased (last few months) is showing in the local drive. When I picked one of the songs from the local it works.
So now I guess the question is what will happen if I move the music from the local to the external and reset the preferences in iTunes. It should work right?

Weird error message when loading songs to Shuffle

Hello,
I'm getting a little bit p.o.'d with the Shuffle I bought for my husband for Christmas.
Here is what's happening and what all I've done since last night...
Happening: I get the Shuffle to show up in the iTunes source list and can load it with 5 songs and then each time I try and drag another song onto it, I get the following error message:
"The iPod "MyPod" cannot be updated. The required disc cannot be found."
When I select the Shuffle from the source list, the songs I tried to load and received this message with show up with a grey circle/dot next to the number that the particular song would be in the Shuffle's list.
At first I thought maybe it was happening because a long time ago I had another computer and burned a disc of all the songs I purchased from the iTunes Music Store and then dragged into iTunes library on my new computer. So then I bought a new song last night and the same thing happened, same error message.
Here's what I've done so far:
I have removed/reinstalled iTunes 6 and the iPod updater. A couple times last night when trying to restore the Shuffle to factory settings, it didn't show up in the updater. I've trashed the plist files, repaired permissions, removed the iPodDriver.kext file, as told to do so in an Apple article.
I'm getting a wee bit frustrated and am hoping to get some help from all of your people here on the discussions!
I also noticed that none of these problems happen with my iPod Mini, just the Shuffle. Since I just got it yesterday, I will phone Apple support this morning when they open and will post back anything I learn, but I'm hoping someone here can help me (us) out before having to deal with Apple---I'm about to pull out my hair here and that's just not a good look for the Holidays, you know?!

Actually my iPod Mini is called Mary's iPod and the Shuffle is called MyPod. They both show up in iTunes now and I found a "workaround" to get the songs on the shuffle, making a playlist and having the shuffle autoload from that list.

IPod error message when loading songs

When trying to upload songs to my new 20Gb iPod I get the following error message after it loads anywhere from 199Mb to 246MB worth of MP3s: Attempting to copy to the disk "OWNER'S IPO" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to.
Does anyone have a solution for this as I really would like to listen to more then just 27 songs. It tells me that I still have 18.29GB free space.
e-machine 3.2GHz 160GD HD Windows XP 1.5 GB Ram

Does anyone have a clue what this means and if there is a fix? At this rate I'll still be uploading songs to Match in 2013, the only thing that makes me feel better is to see I'm not the only one suffering with this!

I get a Pre-execute error message when importing from Excel using the wizard.

Hello, I get the following pre execute error message(see below) when I try to import a table from Excel when using the wizard. I wrote my own code in the edit window. i noticed after writing it that the data types did not appear changed in the mappings window.
