Error Message when turning on nano

When I turn on my nano, I get a grey screen that has a file and a ! in a triangle, and the text says: www.apple.com/support/ipod. What is up with that? Then the thing turns off. Anyone else have this problem? I go here and yeah it tells me nothing. If someone could please help me here that would be great.

Visit this website- i had exactly the same problem. You need to install and run the ipod updater and restore the ipod software on your ipod.
Problems with this icon should be easily resolved... here's the site:

  • ITunes displays -48 error message when syncing iPod Nano on Windows XP

My girlfriend's mom's iPod Nano ran out of charge while jogging so she decided to charge it on her daughter's iHome. The next day she went to use her iPod but it was totally empty of all music and files. When she tried to sync it to iTunes, she received an eror message stating, "An unknown error has occurred (-48)" from iTunes and a Windows message stating that some iPod folder/file was corrupted.
If anyone receives such a message, I was able to correct it by:
-Plugging in your iPod to your PC
    -Ignore the error messages
    -Go to My Computer
-Find your iPod's drive letter (ie. G:)
-Right-click on it and select Properties
-Go to Tools Tab >Error-checking and select Check Now
You should be able to sync your iPod as before. I do not claim to be an expert so be warned that it may not work for you. Good luck!

    Hey ermides,
Thanks for the question. The following resource provides information if you are receiving a -50 error message when syncing:

  • Error Message when syncing my Nano

The Nano is running on the latest version as is iTunes. When I sync to playlists manually, I get an error message that states - "can not read or write to this Nano's hard drive." The Nano will show the selected playlist on the menu, BUT it will only download about 400 MB worth of songs and then the error message appears. It was recommended that I check or following this link: "Disk cannot be read from or written to" when syncing iPod. I tried everything it recommended and I am still getting an error message.
    Any recommendations? HELP?!

I'm having the same problem. My Nano will copy the first 275MB of songs over, but after that, I get:
"Attempting to copy to the disk "(ipod name)" failed. The disk could not be read from or written to."
I've restored my nano multiple times, and updated to the latest version of iTunes (7.6.0.29). Software version on my Nano is 1.1.3.
I'm on a Windows XP system and have had no problems until yesterday when I attempted to add more songs.

  • Error message when turning on iPhone iTunes Match

I subscribed to iTunes Match on my iMac and was charged for it.  The service matched my library and appeared to upload it.  When I tried to turn on iTunes Match on my iPhone 4 (with iOS 5) I received an error message, "You are not currently subscribed to iTunes Match. Use iTunes Match on your computer to subscribe."  Anyone else having this problem? Is there a fix?

I solved my problem; maybe this will help others:
First, Match on my Mac worked like it should.  I was signed in with "ID" (re my post above).
On my iPhone I launched iTunes, scrolled all the way to the bottom, and saw that I was logged in as "[email protected]" so I signed out and signed back in as "ID".
Then I went to Settings/Music and turned on iTunes Match.

  • Error message when turning on IChat

Ichat Is not working will not activate when turned on error message says try again after signing in using Id. Used to work stopped after being in airplane mode for several weeks iOS 6.1.2 iPhone five Verizon is the SP

    HI,
    Pendantic moment.
Both apps are called Messages on Mac and on iOS devices.
iMessages is just one thing the Mac version can do (it can do everything iChat can do) and the iOS device just uses iMessages when talking to compatible/registered IDs or iPhone Numbers  (It will send SMS if not).
    Anyway.
An iPhone and the  iMessage function at least.
Actually if the App was not working properly before an Update the chances are it will be the same afterwards.
    Try this.
On the iPhone > Settings > Messages > Send and Receive remove the Apple ID you are using.
Is the iPhone Number itself ticked ?
If not then place back in Airplane mode for a couple of minutes.  (Break with server)
Now start up the iPhone again and try and select the iPhone Number if it still is not ticked in Settings > Messages > Send and Receive.
If the tick is added or gets added then re-add the Apple ID you are using.
At this point any other iOS device  using the same Apple ID and/Or the Mac version of the app should have a pop up message about the iPhone using the Apple ID and Phone Number.

  • Error message when turning on iTunes Match on my iPhone 5

When I try to turn on iTunes Match on my iPhone 5, i get the following error message:
"You are not currently subscribed to iTunes Match. Use iTunes on your computer to subscribe."
I have subscribed. and I updated earlier today. I signed in and out of sharing.

Reading some older threads from 2012 and 2011 it appears the problem was present even then.  Part of the problem was due to people using multiple or different account id's on the various devices.  In my case, I only have one ID and it is the same on all devices yet the iPhone and iPad are still throwing the same error when I try turning on iTunes Match.  This is very frustrating . . . any help out there?  Thanks.

  • Error message when syncing Ipod nano

Every time I have tried to sync my ipod the last week or so, I get an error message saying the disc cannot be read or written to or Error 14-. When I tried to restore the Ipod, it could not even do that and I got an Error 1439. Can anyone help?

There was a problem with my USB port connection. I was using a cheap multi USB port extender which had given me problems with my palm pilot as well. When I connected the IPOD directly to the computer I was able to restore and sync it.

  • E72 "System Error" message when turning on WLAN sc...

Ever since I've upgraded my E72 to version 51, phone tends to crash almost every time I turn on WLAN scanning, displaying a System Error message, forcing me to lose all my data, including applications I've paid for.
Upgrading to version 53 did not fix this issue either. Is this issue ever going to be fixed?
(the newly released ver 54 is not yet available for my region).
From what I've read here on the forums, I understand that reverting to factory settings might fix this issue, but I don't that I should not be forced to lose everything on my device due to Nokia's incompetence, especially since I have no guarantee that this issue will not show up again.
    Any ideas, anyone?
(at this point, I'm afraid that the best solution is buying an iphone, and giving up on the dead horse that is Nokia *sigh*)

try once hard reset *#7370# .
i am sure your problem will be solve.
hey friend 1st back up your contact, data ete then try *#7370# ok
i have also facing same problem before but now all problem solved...

  • Error message when connecting ipod nano

My ipod nano has been working just fine, then today when I connected it to my computer I got this message: "You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OSX can read. To continue with the disk inserted, click 'ignore'." Then you can click "initialize" "ignore" or "eject." The ipod does not show up on the desktop or in iTunes, and although it charges, it did not update. Resetting did nothing. I tried clicking ignore and eject - neither did anything. I was afraid to click initialize in case it did something terrible to my ipod! Any ideas?

This is OS X's way of saying your iPod's hard drive (or RAM drive in this case) is corrupt. Or at least it thinks it is. Is the iPod playing music? If so the first thing I'd try is rebooting the computer, disconnecting and connecting the iPod's cable, and try again.
If you select initialize (and you'll have little choice if the above didn't work) your iPod will be erased. After this is finished, run the iPod restore/update software and you should be able to sync it again.

  • Error message when turn on phone

I get this message periodically when I turn on my phone.  What does it mean and how to I get rid of it?  None of my friends with iPhones get this message.  I have iCloud backup turned on in my setting.

It means exactly what it says. Your phone must be connected to a power source and joined to a WiFi network for the backup to proceed at night.

  • Error message when connecting Nano to computer - please help!

I just started getting an error message when I try to disconnect my Ipod Nano from my computer after it's done charging/updating. The message tells me the device can't be stopped because other programs are utilizing files on my nano.
I tried restarting my computer, but it froze. It's happened twice now and I have had to disconnect it when it says not to. Please help!

I have been ejecting it. This problem only began recently. I read through about 30 pages of this forum and found someone postoing about the same problem. They said it may be McAfee Viruscan in the background.I'll check that out.

I have a error message when i turn on my computer. AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found. The procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in the dynamic link library SQLite3.dll.
    Any thoughts?

Found this fix here which worked for me with a similar problem.
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3196594?start=0&tstart=0
With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well.

  • Error Message when I try to update my iPod and Nano

HELP! I am suddenly getting an error message when I try to update both my iPod and Nano that states "...certain songs could not be added because I am not authorized to play them on this computer..."
    Any thoughts???

do you know which songs are being missed? (they will be itunes Music Store purchases.)
do they play in your itunes at the moment?
were they purchased through your iTunes Music Store account, or were they purchased by someone else (and your PC has been authorised to play songs from that account?)

  • First Generation Ipod Nano gives error message when using Windows Vista

I have a dual boot PC running XP Home and Vista Home Premium. My three kids have Ipod Nanos. Each kid has their own user profile on the PC. The later generation Nanos (2) work with Vista perfectly.
The first generation Nano causes an error message when you connect the Ipod to the PC while running Vista. If you run the XP and associate the Nano with XP everything syncs perfectly with no error messages.
Conclusion: Early Nanos work with XP, but do not function properly with Vista.
Request of Apple INC. - Fix this to work with Vista, or send me a new Ipod free of charge.

All of the following programs should work with Vista.
Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
    SharePod is also freeware.
